Wealth, fame, power. Gold Roger the king of the pirates obtained this and everything else the world had to offer. And his dying words drove countless souls to the seas.
"You want my treasure? You can have it! I left everything I gathered together in one place. Now you just have to find it!"

Well. Not that any of that matters anymore. The Golden Age of piracy is over. The dawn of the Silver Age is upon us, baptized in the blood of a marine admiral and heralded by the maddened screams of those who bore witness to it.
"One down."
You look up.
"Many more to go."

Wings sprout from your back in the blink of an eye and carry you up to the edge of the hole that you blew into the ground. You find Fujitora there, laying on his stomach and trying to crawl towards his sword. You look at him as he pitifully attempts to save himself. All for naught. You land next to him, which he must've heard as he promptly freezes. He tries to make as little noise as possible but his heart, with the speed of its beat rivaling the wings of a hummingbird, betrays him. Walking over to him you raise your foot a few inches over his neck and attempt to bring it down. But instead of a satisfying crunch and the cessation of his pulse all you hear is a rather pathetic thump as the soles of your shoes hit the leg of Garp.

You were so focused on Fujitora that the elderly marine managed to get a jump on you. No matter.
"Why did you stop me? I was just gonna step on his neck."

After raising your foot again you bring it down once more, but now the clash produces the unmistakable black lightning of a conquerors clash. The island shakes and pebbles start flying around you.
"Enough. That's plenty enough. I know that you're hurting now. And that... we had this coming. But he's a good man, he does not deserve this. Please. Let this be over."

"No."

"Look at what you're doing! Is this what you want?! Is this what you think Eliza wanted for you? To be nothing more than a raging monster hell-bent on destruction? She wanted you to be happy. But if you continue with this all you'll find is bitterness. Trust me on this."
Garp despite his resolute stance seems to be struggling quite a bit.
"Listen. If that's what you want then go after Sakazuki! He's the one who's responsible for this. But after that just walk away. You'll do everyone a favor, yourself above all else!"

"So it's okay if I kill the ones you don't like..."

"That's not-"

>"Fine. You win. I'll take Sakazukis head as tribute. But this is far from over Garp."
>"You're wrong Garp, on so many levels. But above all else you're wrong in assuming you can stop me."

He did help us a lot

>>"You're wrong Garp, on so many levels. But above all else you're wrong in assuming you can stop me."

Why are ppl acting like we're all buddy buddy with garp? literally the only reason garp stepped in b4 was because we were slaughtering the fodder, not out of any sort of kindness or mercy on his part, this definetly just feels like a meta we like garp decision than anything IC
>>
>>5588670
And what does he know about how eliza or we would feel? garp spent all his time trying to murder her and he doesn't know us at all, silvers not a good person by any stretch of the imagination who'd feel guilty about this late, he's just saying whatever shit he needs to so we retreat and then he can regroup the marines and try to kill us later
>>
>>5588670
Be cuz we tired, if we keep fighting there will be important casualties on our end, and we want akainu's head above all others.
>>
>>5588674
Im not seeing indication silvers weakening in the update, am i missing something?
>>
>>5588677
We're tired of this war, Eliza is dead and all we want is revenge at this point.

Also, all our other guys are likely fighting to escape
>>
>>5588691
Yeah and garp is trying to prevent us from taking revenge, like even if we get sakazuki kizarus still the dude who took her in aswell, the seraphim are still alive probably so they also need to die, and ultimately fujitora and garp and the rest are still high tier marines, no way silver doesn't view them as atleast partially responsible, like i as said this just kinda reeks of a meta thing of ppl not wanting to kill fujitora and fight garp and the rest of the "good" marines because they like them
>>
In a surprising turn of events Silver agrees to relent

Because we told Murray we were leaving... and this is a great second arc for the marines.

You glare straight into Garps eyes and see that behind the stoic front that he's putting up he's shaken. With a smirk and a chuckle you pull your leg away and turn around. The marine shakes as you show your back to him and walk away.
"Fine. If you want to do it the hard way then so be it. But first. Kneel."

"What?!"

"You want this to be over? Fine. But I won't make it look like you did anything other than grovel at my feet. Beg. Unless you want That to happen again."
You point upwards at the fissure in the sky that formed the moment you clashed. Knowing what's at stake Garp gets on his knees and puts his head on the ground.

"Fine. Please. I beg of you. Enough."

"GARP! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

"That fool."

The two other elders comment on this but you pay them no mind.
"Good. I'm taking my prize now. Anyone tries to stop me, they die."

"Yes. Of course..."
He grits his teeth.

"I'm glad you understand."
You say that with a smile.
"But one more thing. You were wrong, about almost everything you said."
Garp looks up confused.
"Why are you surprised? I told you already, you just weren't paying attention. This isn't about Eliza and I'm not the least bit mad. From the moment I understood there was nothing to be mad about. This isn't about revenge, or justice. Those are your feeble words."

"Then... what were you-"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNWSDvDqm9g

"This is nothing more than pest control."
Garps eyes shoot up.
"I thought you could learn. That sooner or later you'd get the lesson I was trying to teach you all. But it seems you're too stupid for that. Every time you touched me I showed you just how much scarier I can be than you are. You took my eye and my arm, in turn I took your gods. I tore down your forts because you messed with my crew. But you still think you're the ones in control. You can't learn. So I came to the only logical conclusion. And I'm no longer willing to hold back. If you can't learn from a smack, then it's time to give the next ones a chance."

"W-What?!"

"Once I'm done with you someone will inherit your will and a new idea of Justice will be borne. Hopefully they'll be smarter than you and learn... that this is My World. And they get to live in it because I let them."
You spread your wings once more as you prepare for take-off.
"You want to live a bit more? Fine. That means you'll get to see what comes next and bear witness to my age. Want to stop me? Feel free, I'll even give you one shot. But you get up from your knees and I'll tear off your legs before I make you watch as I slaughter everyone in front of your eyes."
No response comes from him.
"Thought so. Consider this my declaration of war then. And tell your men that soon the seas will run red with the blood of those that bear the seagull on their flag."

I honestly expect Luffy to get off his ass and match us because for all his idiocy he is not, in fact, stupid.

He knows damn well what Silver is and what we can do, and he knows if he wants something that runs counter to what we want he's going to have to fight for it.

The Marines thought Silver was a man to be broken, Luffy knows Silver is like the Sea and if you want to sail you pull up your big boy pants and get to goddamn work.
>>

>>
>>5588761

>>
>>5588761
A lot I'd wager, desertion is going to be a problem after the leadership has been wrecked like this... morale is going to be fucked across the five seas
>>
>>5588761
Yes. I expect a sharp increase of men after we leave, for whatever odd reason
>>
Also, a ton of people will be flocking to us, like it's one thing to become an Emperor, to fight the Navy's best and WIN is another entirely.
>>
Your wings flare up and fire shoots out of them. Like a comet you fly away and through the hole that you punched into the fort, looking for Akainu, or the crater that he made. Locating the place was not an issue but he's nowhere to be seen. Landing with a loud crash in the middle you see a roughly fist-sized hole going down into the ground.

"Come out you mangy mutt. Come out! Don't make me go after you! Come, show me that justice of yours and I'll show you mine."

Suddenly you see the ground cracking open under your feet and orange-red light shines in your face as magma erupts.
"TAMBORA!"

The explosion rocks what's left of the island and Marineford with it. The pride and joy of the marines that you previously punched a hole into collapses until nothing but rubble's left. Ironic that the Fleet-Admiral who commissioned its construction is the one that ultimately demolished it. Hundreds of tons of magma and rubble is sent into the sky and above the clouds. An apocalyptic, blood-red glow bathes the entire island in Akainus glory. Right up until a vertical slice first divides the pillar of magma in two before the gales following the attack harden the molten rock into an abstract, almost fountain like statue.

Akainu is the only thing left emitting any light and he's looking up at your blackened blade.
"My turn."

You thrust Argent into his side faster than he can react, and plunge it where his liver is. That's the weakspot you detected and you drive all your hate and malice into it. Your haki surges through his body, ripping it apart at the seams. Blood spews from his mouth as well as his side. But once he manages to suppress the flow he spits what's left in his mouth in your face before speaking.
"What are you waiting for? Do it! Kill me. But it won't bring your whore mother back! Nothing you ever do will. And one day, when your bones are nothing but dust, nobody will even remember you ever existed!"

"You want to think that don't you?"
You pull your blade free which makes him almost pass out. After sheathing Argent you grab Akainu by the throat and take to the sky. High above the battlefield you open your mouth and speak with a voice of absolute authority.
"Marines. Look at me. Look at your boss and weep."
You plunge your free arm into the hole you just made, then you let go of his throat and put the other one in. Then... you start pulling them apart.

Red rain falls on the most unfortunate ones. They are the only ones that make any noise beside Akainu throughout the whole thing. But after a point no sound is made. Not by them, nor Sakazuki. No one.

Should change from this bites to, this changes nothing.
>>
So whats the Damages?

Marineford is thoroughly destroyed, one of the seraphim are dead, all warlords besides Kuma defected, Akainu and Aramaki have bitten the dust.

Several vice admirals are no more.

And thats just us alone
>>
"That was your final warning. This is what happens to those that stand against me. I'll let all of you go today. But I will come back and wipe you all out. Every single marine. If you wish to do something about it now's your chance. Or if you value your life you'll learn your place and submit."

You land down on the ground, your wings folding up and retreating into your flesh. You casually walk through the crowd without paying much attention to the faceless crowd. None of them matter, not the heroic champions who distinguished themselves and still stand proud, nor the lame and the crippled ones who were ruined in the conflict. That is not to say that they feel the same way about you. Not all are frozen in place. One or two try their luck. But you always let them get one hit in before retaliation. The wise ones, the onlookers who don't have the guts to raise arms against you see the swords of their comrades shatter on your skin before their bodies are reduced to ruined flesh. All the rest fall in line pretty quickly after they see the results of defiance.

All but one.

"Are... you... kidding me?"
A beaten and bloodied kid stumbles out of the thick crowd, clutching an arm. You can't tell if his hair is naturally that crimson or if it's from all the blood.
"L-Look at this! Look what you've wrought! All this destruction! All this... this death! And you think you can just walk away after all that? You're an irredeemable monster!"

You stop and look at the faceless peon. He does seem familiar but you can't quite recall from where and don't really care either. However he is standing up to you.
"Congratulations. You figured it out. What are you going to do about it?"

He clutches his arm even harder.
"I... may not be able to do anything. But I know that if I let you go now then I'll have the blood of thousands on my hand."
He's now on the verge of tears.
"E-Everyone called me naive. Now I know they were right! I thought things could be done differently! That things could be resolved peacefully! But now I've seen true evil and I know where they were coming from! Sometimes monsters like you... must be stopped at all cost! Because letting you live is too dangerous! AAAAAAAAAAA-"

He lets out a battlecry and charges you. It's not to get anyone to follow him, rather it's to convince his own terrified heart not to give out. He jumps in the air and kicks you in the neck. It does nothing. But the punch that you throw in return almost knocks the life out of him and sends him flying backwards. The fact that he did not explode like the rest is honestly impressive.

"KOBY!"
You hear another voice as someone rushes to him.

"Mary..."
>>
>Silver: I'm here because you assholes kidnapped my mom, you were the one's who decided to screw with me. This is what happens when idiots like you try to fuck me over.
>>
It's like they can't learn this one simple lesson: Don't fuck with us

Why the hell are they playing the victim here?
>>
>>5588871
Surprisingly i don't think its that bad, atleast compared to how it could have been, like yeah akainus dead but sengokus almost certainly being reinstated as fleet admiral straight away so there won't be a major gap in leadership, then its just about replacing aramaki as an admiral and houndning vegapunk to get a new set of seraphim ASAP if SWORD isn't like garp/sengokus personal project and the WG knows about it all members of that will almost certainly be called by aswell
>>
>>5588883
like they're certainly bloody and battered by the orginazation isn't in danger of collapsing in of itself like it would have been if we'd killed the other 2 admirals and garps trio
>>
>>5588883
I mean, Sengoku is on his last legs, so its possible Fujitora will become the new Fleet Admiral.
>>
>>5588883
Also, Seraphim don't grow on tree's, they likely require months if not years of preparation too make, not too mention the MASSIVE funding going into them.

And thats if the Warlord's don't decide too pay him a visit for cloning them...
>>
>>5588873
>I would have ignored you goons if you just stayed in your lane. My mother is dead, and for what? So I have to teach this lesson with as much blood as possible, so the stupid can drown.
>Don't blame me for this, your owners caused this intentionally, and look how that worked out
>Point at Satsuki's carcass.
>>
>>5588888
Agreed but ultimately the seraphim were an auxiliary force meant to combat the emperors, which the marines aren't going to be doing anytime soon now, rn its a mad rush to cover up assets and recover not worrying about venturing forth and battling
>>
>>5588886
I mean not really? we've not seen any signs sengokus like horrendously weaker, like obviously not in his prime but any stretch but could 100% still tangle with some of the strongest ppl in the world, plus rn they need him more for his mind and leadership not power, though if not sengoku we could potentially see kong retire from being commander of the WG and taking back his old fleet admiral position
>>
>>5588895
I mean, he was getting pretty damn sick of War and likely reaching his limit.

Same with Garp, both of them are out of their prime and not prepared for a second coming of Rocks.

And probaby Tsuru as well, she didn't even TRY to fight us.
>>
>>5588903
Yeah but they're also not the kind of ppl to leave when doing so will literally have the marines collapse in on itself and either lead to an age of piracy that'll make this one look like a joke or have the WG have to go full 1984 to prevent that
>>
>>5588907
Just saying, they are not the men they used to be, they don't have much left in them, and they have just lost two of their strongest fighters.

I feel the marines will be on the defensive for this war. Since they just took massive cadualties and their main weapons are getting dunked on.

"I feel like I should tell you Mary that your dad begged me not to hurt you. But if you attack me that offer will be null and void-"

"Koby! Are you alright?"

"Cough... n-no."

"Koby you have to listen to me. You were not naive! You were not wrong. There is a better way. Do not let yourself get sucked into his spiral of violence like I did!"

"Mary... I'm so sorry."

Are they ignoring you? How dare they? Do they not realize the situation they're in? No matter. It's not like they can do anything anymore. They are beneath your notice. You leave them behind and continue your walk towards the shore unimpeded. At the end you see an armada of ships on the horizon, leaving. Only one remains here, yours. But rather than feeling happy about them being here for you there's another matter at hand that's a bit too distracting. A giant dragon chuckling well above it.

"Wororororo. I knew it'd pay staying sober for this. Got to admit kid, you promised me something and you delivered. Not something I'm used to. Kudos."

"Kaido. And where were you exactly?"

"Where? I was fighting the boys from the prison if you already forgot. Great fun. The government boys did not spare any expense on the entertainment! Even though Teach took the cream of the crop they still had some prime fighters down there. Sadly not Joker, guess they're smarter than I thought. But still. You should be thanking me! Those guys would've been trouble for you."

"Remind me of something Kaido. You have the voice, right?"

"Uh-huh."

"So you knew what was going on."

"I may have."

"And let it happen."

"Yuh. And you failed to stop it. Both for the same reason. Eliza needed to die. It's that simple. I knew it, she knew it. We all knew it. Bet even you did, this was your destiny after all. And you can't really argue with results, can you? I mean look at you! I'm getting shivers just looking at that arm of yours. I only wish Linlin could be here to see this worororo."

"Yeah. You're right. This wouldn't have been possible without her. But if it meant getting mom back I'd give up this power without a second thought."

But in all honesty, why the fuck did people think this was a good idea?

Like, why piss off a powerful ally in a war you just declared over someone half of this site doesn't actually care about?

Its not fucking bowing head you numpty, its agreeing to a War like we already fucking planned, he was just getting involved.

Eliza wasn't his friend or family, he did what was asked, why the hell should he risk his life for someone he doesn't give a shit about.

Really, its just Anon's getting to fucking arrogant at this point.

We learned our lesson about "making friends" from linlin. Never again.
>>
>>5589023
When did we ever agree to his war? we literally only called him up cause we were desperate and he agreed cause it sounded like a good time, and lets be real kaido never intended eliza to leave here alive, i've now doubt if we did somehow manage to look like we were escaping with eliza kaido would have attempted to kill her himself
>>
>>5589027
Did he kill her?

Did he sabotage us?

No

He did what was asked of him, and we might as well have had an alliance while we could, cuz why the fuck not?

He didn't put his neck out to save Eliza, thats his only 'crime' and we know you don't actually give a shit about her.

We? Who's we? There's you and there's me. You, the dragon who's been sitting on his ass for years doing nothing. And now me, the one who'll actually make war. And you will get in line."
You clench the black hand into a fist.
"Or I can go through you."

Kaido seems... pleased.
"Wororororo! You know, in any other circumstance I'd be pretty pissed right now. But it bears repeating, I knew you were going to say that! Hell, I was waiting for that to happen! The moment I saw your power awaken I wanted to feel it for myself! YES! The strongest will lead and the weak one will fall in line! As it should be! Isn't that right, Rocks?"
The massive dragon looks famished, eager, almost lustful.
"AH SCREW IT! I've been fired up for too long! Let's just skip straight to the fun part! And you BETTER make this entertaining for me Rocks! If you disappoint me I'll destroy everything you love out of spite!"
He pulls out his giant kanabo out from behind him and he begins changing. But even though you've never seen his hybrid form before you're certain this is not it. The titanic dragon does not shrink one bit, rather his body expands, widening and swelling with a never-ending mass of muscle. His kanabo similarly expands until it's the size of a battleship.
"Let's see what you got kid!"

The voice of the mountain sized lizard shakes the heavens and earth as well. But you're not afraid.
"Gladly."
You call upon your newfound strength and use it to infuse every muscle and bone in your body as you transform. The awakening responds well to the haki and you grow beyond your previous limits as you awaken. You don't reach Kaidos island shattering size but you do get about halfway there as a fellow monster.
"Silver Style: Kain."

You draw your sword and the two of you clash with your weapons. The ringing sound, as if someone sounded the bells of heaven, could be heard several islands away.

You know, sometimes i doubt Silver as a protagonist, but exchanges like this remind me why i have respect for him.

Not for all the power in the world would he have willingly traded his mom. But he has it, and now the world can't undo the asskicking that's coming to it for what they did. Kick his ass Silver. Not because it's smart, but out of fucking principle.

Finally caught up.

Spookyng and readers everywhere, you may remember me as the guy who was responsible for such omakes as Sandersonia’s Own Hurricane of Love and Eliza’s Bones In the Ocean.

Seeing this battle and Garp bowing to us, I’m proud to have been a small contributor to this quest. Even if it did not have as long a run as the Nazi Hallow Bleach Quest, and I know that this one is still going, but since One Piece is still going strong at the present, the quest storyline catching up to it, and I’m going to be starting a career that will be taking me away from being able to freely browse wherever I want, I just wanted to thank this Spooky and all the fellow anons. Glad to have seen this quest up to this point.

Good luck faggot.

The impromptu clash between you and Garp was nothing compared to this contest of titanic might. Both heaven and earth are rent asunder with a great divide forming between the two of you, marking a border that stands between your influences. The sky ruptures with the clouds being consumed by what looks like a never-ending void. The sea parts and starts flowing upward at the line of your clash, revealing the seabed for, what must be the first time in history, to natural light. At least what little light can make its way down there. Indeed it looks like the white and blue seas have merged as both are forced to move ever upward to the heavens.

The winds blasting through this valley that you created carry with them an eerie sound, the sound of rattling. Only after the numbness in your arm starts to fade do you realize that it signals that Kaido is pleased. For it is the sound of his scales shivering.
"Wororororo. Yes. This is what I've been yearning for. This is the glory that's been denied to me. Come Rocks! Show me the meaning of Death!"

The dragon screams as he winds up his kanabo again. Though you're at what feels like the peak right now you still don't wish to directly challenge him head on if you can avoid it, so you get moving. Moving deeper into the ravine of water you lure in Kaido who seems to have completely lost himself to a lust for battle or a furious trance. The constant ringing as kanabo and sword clash keeps the wall of water from crashing down on you and serves as an excellent deterrent to keep even the most suicidal of people from following you into this unnatural phenomenon.

As you jump from coral beds to lava vents whilst parrying the dragon you notice glowing eyes peering out from the waters. The greatest of the Sea Kings have gathered to witness this most unusual of events. Yet their voices are quiescent. It's as if they are waiting with abated breath for one of you to come out on top.

"OY! WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE LOOKING?! BORO BREATH!"
Kaido opens his maw and spews out a beam of fire. Not willing to be outdone you answer in kind and answer with your own. The two blasts detonate in the middle and form a half-sphere shaped arena in the water. But you can only take it in for a moment before Kaido rushes you again. He slams down his club and as you block it you feel your legs sinking into the bedrock below.
"Perfect! This will be the place for our duel. Stop fighting and the water will come crashing down on us. Then we'll both drown and there will be no victor. Now let us fight! TO THE DEATH!"

"Tatsumaki!"
Kaido stretches out his arm and his scales grind against each other. Each segment of the dragons steel like hide serves as a blade and each one sends out a slicing cut through the air. Luckily your wings can perform the same function and with a swipe you send out a few larger cuts which manages to counter his offensive. He jumps over your attacks and showers you with a barrage from his kanobo.
"Gundari Ryuseigun!"

Only by wildly flailing with all four of your upper limbs do you manage to match his attack. But the result of that is that he's locked above you, perpetually pressing down with a shower of blows and you having to hold him up. It's not easy, not by any means. Despite his prodigious size he's swift and his supreme mastery over observation means not even your enhanced senses offer an edge over him. But there is one thing that you do possess that he doesn't. Size, namely the lack of it. It's a bold move to perform in this situation, against such an opponent. But it's the only one you can think of.

After one last parry with your sword you let go of it, turn off your awakening and turn into a tiny bat. Kaidos eyes open wide as you snatch Argent out of the air and carry the weapon up to him. As the edge of the blade slides against and through his scales you wince, since without the awakening it's roughly the same as hitting someone with a toothpick. But it's better than nothing. You fly past the emperor and he screams as a tiny amount of blood spurts out of him. Quickly as he falls to his knees you reactivate your awakening and stare him down.

Kaido seems taken aback by the fact that he got hurt. Supporting himself with his kanobo he takes his free hand and holds it over the wound. After removing his hand he looks at his blood stained palm and chuckles.
"Good. Very good. It's been so long since I've felt anything. I'd almost forgott-"
But you don't let him monologue. Instead you jump him, grab him by the horns and headbutt him as hard as you can. The impact widens the arena even further. As Kaido stumbles backwards he snaps at you.
"HEY! LITTLE SHIT! I'M TRYING TO ENJOY THE MOMENT!"

"Enjoy the moment? Sounds like you're just aching to die!"
You snap back at him as you now go on the offense and start chasing and showering Kaido with blow after blow.

"Of course! Haven't you learned anything?! Just as how the ending of a story is paramount how one caps their legend determines the value of their lives! Roger! Newgate! Both idealistic fools! One defeated by an illness, the other succumbed to old age! Yet because they managed to close their lives in spectacular manners they managed to write HISTORY! Whilst mightier men have been buried by the world because they didn't go out with a BANG!"
>>
>>5599887
HERO
>>
"RAIMEI HAKKE!"
Kaido winds up a mighty swing to get you off of him. You're eager to retort.

"Black Voice."
Your attacks fail to connect. Instead your black arm and his club appear to hover in place with arcs of black lightning erupting from the empty space between them. And the seabed shakes in fear.

"THAT'S WHY I'VE DONE EVERYTHING! BUILDING AN ARMY OF DEVIL-FRUIT USERS! SUBJUGATING NATIONS TO PRODUCE WEAPONS! ALL TO PREPARE FOR THE FINAL WAR! A WAR WHERE I MAY DIE ON THE BLOOD-SOAKED BATTLEFIELD OF THE GREATEST CONFLICT! OR THE ONE WHERE I FINALLY SNUFF OUT THIS BORING WORLD!"

"Bullshit."
The kanobo slides off your fist and your hand moves forward. Even before the impact Kaidos face indented and when you touched it he was visibly in quite a bit of pain. Getting decked in the face quite hard, he flies backwards and almost goes into the wall of water but he manages to slam his club into the ground to anchor himself down.
"If you wanted to wage war you could've done so. You're the strongest. It would've taken nothing for you to fight. Instead you sat around, wasting time with weaklings and building armies. You were just afraid."

Kaido stands back up after blowing some blood out of his nose and laughs. He then raises his hand and engulfs the arena in his fire, which keeps the water out even as he rests a bit and talks.
"That's what you think. But you're still just a naive brat. You're still like everyone, oblivious to the world at large. If you survive this day and go on to take your place at the big boys table you'll learn quickly just how things really are. The top is a lonely and boring place. Once the world looses all the fun, the adventure you'll learn exactly where I'm coming from. And once it dawns on you how powerless you are at changing things you'll do the exact same thing. Or try to kill yourself, like I did. Wororororo."

"Then how about you cut the crap and just tell me?"

"Tell you? Heh. Don't kid yourself. You wouldn't believe it anyway, or understand it. Only by experiencing the truth can you be enlightened. But enough about that! We're having fun now! Come! Show me some more! I'm only starting to enjoy myself!"

"I'll show you alright. I'll make you submit. And once I'm done beating you to a pulp I'll drag your battered, broken body just so I can make you witness me carving my name into the world!"
You take Argent and wind up your arm until its behind your back.
"Oh and one more thing Kaido. Call me by the wrong name again and I'll carve it in your hide too. I am Silver!"

Kaido stood there, stunned. As you leaned forward and put your free hand on the ground for extra leverage, with your sword behind your back, and with what you just said he could swear that he was seeing a silhouette of his formal captain. As darkness oozes out of you to cover the whole place he gets even more worried as only the flames surrounding his body are what provide any illumination. He only manages to snap out of his stupor once you're already on top of him, ready to tear into him. You slide Argent neatly between his ribs, prompting him to howl from the pain. Only a moment later he brings down his Kanabo on you and smashes you in the ground. As you get bonked on the head the handle of your sword slips out from your grasp but so does the spiked club from Kaidos. Both of you stagger to stand up and look at your respective, lost weapons.

"Wororororo. Interesting!"
He cracks his knuckles.

"Yeah."
You do the same.

The two of you start walking toward the other confidently and once within range you throw the first punch, which almost bounces off of the titanic dragons immaculate physique. He returns the gesture with a scratch from his saber like talons, meant to disembowel you. But the haki infused, bristly fur offered adequate protection from the lacerating attack. Once it became obvious that mere physical force would be insufficient you started discharging elemental attacks in tandem. Tongues of flame, arcs of lightning and gusts of shearing wind flew freely and with such force that a great deal of them made their way through the entire volume of the sea and reached the surface, where the bewildered crowds undoubtedly soiled their pants at the wrath of the elements.

But not even that suffices. So with no other options left both of you resign yourselves to even more ferocious forms of combat as nothing short of pure murderous intent would be fitting for this moment. You jump Kaido, grab him by the shoulders and open your mouth as wide as you can before biting down on his neck. That gets a brief shout from him before he returns the favor. Blood drips on the ground from both your shoulders as you're eager to consume the other before he could do the same.

I knew we would try eating people eventually, I guess I was premature last time, eating Kaido is more fitting for a pair of monsters.

The sensation of teeth and will trying to tear your body apart is almost unbearable. But you know that he's feeling the same, and Kaido admitted that he's not used to such sensations. If you just keep this up then-
"Wororororo. Looks like we're pretty evenly matched. I'll have to put in some more effort! I wonder if you'll be able to keep up!"
He breathes in huge volumes of air through his nostrils and you feel a great heat rising within. His body starts glowing as he reaches temperatures too much even for you.
"Kaen Daiko!"

Not willing to be defeated you follow suit.
"Black Escaton!"

Fire explodes from within you as well and two pillars of pure, radiant heat erupt from the sea like twin volcanoes. Steam and molten rock shoot into the sky as the sea and the rock below evaporates and melts. Eventually though the two explosions subside and finally you separate, each missing a chunk of flesh from your shoulder. It stings like hell and it bleeds even more. But at the very least you managed to yank your sword free of Kaidos breast when he pushed you away. Sadly he also stumbled in the direction of his kanabo so now he has that back as well. He gives his shoulder a good twist as he picks his club back up, causing blood to spurt from it. Then Kaido reaches for it.

"Wororororo. I might actually die here. This is the best!"
He conjures flames in his palm and uses them to cauterize his wound. You decide to follow his example. Then he uses his free hand to reach behind his back and takes out a gourd that was strapped to his waist. Without wasting a moment he bites the cork and rips it out before chugging the gourds contents. You highly doubt he has some fresh water in there in case he gets thirsty.

"You're really going to drink now?"

"Of course! Life is meant to be enjoyed! And I'm having a blast now! So why shouldn't mix the pleasures a bit?! Hic."
He wipes his mouth then presents the gourd to you.
"Want some?"

"Fine. Give it here."

Nonchalantly Kaido tosses the gourd across the battlefield. You snatch it out of the air and give it a sniff before sipping from it. It's strong, obscenely so. A cautionary glance back at Kaido reveals that he's getting drunker by the second after taking a swig of this stuff. Naturally you've learned how to handle alcohol better from Shakki. However you don't feel like dampening the effect. In fact, you want it to hit as hard as possible. With that you start chugging the gourds contents like it's the freshest milk.

"Wororororo. Hic. Now THIS is what it's all about! None of that stupid samurai shit, or the stupid machinations. You get drunk with a fella and then you murder each other! That's how it should be!"
Kaido then stops as he sees you discarding the empty gourd.
"Whoa there. You didn't really have to drink the whole thing-"
And he gets punched in the face for his trouble.

Grinning and quite wasted you respond.
"I did! Now pucker up!"

"Oh youuuuuuu~!"

Kaido slides backwards and you slide under his retaliating swing. But before you could throw another punch the dragons tail coils up behind his back like a spring and shoots him out of harms way. Now behind you he attempts to break your legs but you manage to quickly jump on his Kanabo and it carries you a little while before you jump off and turn to kick him in the neck. You get blasted in the face by Kaidos explosive breath and were it not for the supreme levels of heat evaporating all the water in the near vicinity you'd be drowning now. But before the waves could come crashing down you flap your wings and jump back at Kaido with Argent drawn and a wicked grin on your face.

The colossal drunkard feels just as elated and winds up his kanabo.
"HA-"

"-KAI!"

At the moment your weapons clash the sea retreats and gives you ample room to fight in, forming a great bowl with with a vortex for walls. Though impossibly deep those who can fly or are foolish enough to sail near the waters edge, before it starts dragging them down, can see two shining dots at the bottom of the dark hole. Kaidos blue scales slowly turn red and your black fur whitens due to the heat rising from within. The alcohol did more than just remove your inhibitions, it washed away all the confusing thoughts still swirling in your head, giving you both a singular purpose. Thoughts of the great war he was making vanish from Kaidos head, as do ones pertaining to your imminent conquest. Now the only thing that matters is the individual before you that you must make submit. Not monster, not emperor, not a usurper, a kid or a reincarnation of a once famous pirate. Just another man.
>>
You both grin as the wild energies continue to rip the bedrock of the world around you apart. Though this place would be an appropriate battlefield away from unworthy eyes it's a bit limiting, having to watch for the waters so they don't drown you both. You decide to take things elsewhere. Breaking away from the clash for a moment you take to the skies with flames shot from your wings propelling you to the heavens and Kaido jumping up on clouds of fire. To onlookers it looks like two shooting stars going backwards. Eventually you burn two holes through the clouds as you pass through them and once beneath the stars and the moon you get back to murdering each other. Every one of the myriad attacks you hurl at each other set off flashes of brilliant light that briefly illuminate the white sea of clouds below, burning the silhouettes of a dragon and a bat into them. To the world it looks like two titans are murdering each other in heaven.

Sliding back and just barely managing to steady yourself on a cloud you watch as Kaido straightens his back, looks up at the stars and chuckles to himself.
"Yes. This is what I dreamed of. Finally someone who managed to kill my boredom and give me a proper fight. It's going to suck when you die. But I think that'll finally give me the push I need to end this miserable world."
He turns back to you.
"You should be glad Silver. You were right. I was a coward. I stooped to the level of all those weaklings. I'll do things properly. With my own two hands. And to show my appreciation I'll do it in your name."

So whats the plan after this? returning to outer heaven and reorginazing our resources and doing a little service for our mom b4 we assault the WG and finish what we started at mariejois? maybe heading to wano first since it seems we're going the recruit kaido route to pick up the beast pirates?

Well would silver be ok leaving the slaves to rot while he knew he had the ability to free them? cause like the only thing that was stopping him b4 that he knew of was the marines, which we've just demonstrated are no threat anymore, so idk i just don't see silver sitting on his hand doing other shit while he thinks theirs literally nothing stopping him anymore, the only thing he really needs are ships to transport the freed slaves and thats it, so a simple trip back to outer heaven, getting a fleet to transport the slaves and finding out where the world nobles fucked off to, which someone has to no where since no shot would the world nobles have gone in anything less than luxury, also assuming they took all the slaves from mariejois and didn't leave any there that we can go pick up

"I wouldn't get ahead of myself Kaido. You haven't won yet! The one who'll make this world bend its knees is me! Just like how I made one of you Emperors yield!"

"WORORORORO! THEN COME ON! MAKE ME! SILVER! SHURON HAKKE!"

Like a never ending wellspring of power Kaido just keeps intensifying the fight. Now in his drunken rage his movements have not only become faster but far harder to follow as he moves in an almost unnatural way. For everyone but the most puissant of fighters it'd be impossible to merely follow his movements, let alone keep up with them. But you're not everyone. With the Red Voice you attune yourself utterly to Kaido. Down to the smallest detail, you copy his way of moving. Even your heart starts beating to the same rhythm.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qI2zlab2vI

With lightning fast but utterly erratic motions you run along the surface of clouds beating back Kaidos attacks and throw just as many back at him. Against their wishes the clouds are dragged by the winds you make and the clanging of steel makes it sound like the most vicious of storms is brewing. As sparks continuously fly off all around, you spare one glance at Kaidos face. His eyes are more alive than any other mans that you've seen. He's like a person who died a long, long time ago but he was given a chance to enjoy life for a little bit once more. He has achieved nirvana. The alcohol has long been beaten out of his system. What fuels him now, and what got him drunk is the fight itself.

"MORE! GIVE ME MORE! RAIMEI-"

"Silver Style-"

"-HAKKE!"

"-Black Voice."

The two of you dash past each other, delivering the deadly attacks with only the faintest of touch. After that, it's silence. Both of you wait for the result, to see who gives in first. Your knees buckle under the pressure and one of your legs give out. Falling onto a knee you hold your side as it bleeds profusely. But you manage to staunch the bleeding with a bit of fire and with a heavy grunt you get back up.
"Heh. Good enough."
Kaido muses to himself as his chest explodes in a shower of gore where your haki tore him inside out.
"So this is what dying feels like. The sweet nectar of blood. Finally I get to taste it. Tell me. How did you manage to get that strong, if you're not Rocks returned? What is the secret behind that monstrous strength of yours?"

You wipe some blood from your mouth that you coughed up before answering.
"You had all these years to figure it out and you didn't. I can't help you understand it now."

"Eh. Fair enough."
>>
The dragon now jumps in the air, spinning his weapon around above his head before falling down on top of you with murderous intent.
"THEN COME SILVER! LET US WELCOME THE END OF THIS WORLD IN BLISSFUL IGNORANCE! KOSANZE RAGNARAKU!"

You put your sword back in its sheath and spread your arms, welcoming what's about to come openly. He hits you square on the head and it feels like your head is about to be split apart under the weight of armageddon. But even as your vision goes red from the blood seeping from your skull you grit your teeth and bear with it until most of the attacks punch passes through you. Though Kaido is still smiling so are you.
"Kek. People always said I have a thick skull!"

"Huh?!"

You bring your arms in and embrace Kaido in a BIG hug, big enough to make his steel hard hide crack under the pressure. He smashes his spiked club into your back once more and though he does break one of your wings it doesn't matter anymore. You're not letting go of him. Not until this is done and over with. Your eye bursts into reddish flames as your arms bulge with as much strength and willpower as you can muster.
"SILVER STYLE-"
And you lean backwards.
"-SUNSET-"
And the two of you start falling.

Kaido screams and howls both from the pressure you're putting on his open wounds and from the shock of what you're doing. He tries to pry himself free or to smash you to bits but even he realizes after a few attempts that even if you die your lifeless corpse will still cling to him like a fire ants head. So you continue to descend faster and faster. The burning wind around you howls with smoldering fury as a dome of heat forms around your bodies. You spare only as much attention from Kaido as you need to find a suitable location for your landing. Lucky for you it seems that an island started forming at the site of your underwater scuffle from all the lava that you brought to the surface. It'll do perfectly. As you get close enough to the ground you finish naming your attack.

"-SUPLEX!"

You figured that since Kaido hit you with his strength that rivals heaven itself, you wouldn't get too far just whacking him the same way. Instead. You'd hit him with the earth. Since he's much bigger than you his head reaches the ground first and absorbs most of the damage. But that still leaves plenty for you. So much so that after the mushroom cloud from the impact abates you feel like your whole world is spinning. Thankfully you do manage to shake it off with a bit of effort and waddle over to Kaido who's even deeper in the crater. He's moaning.
"Owww."

It looks like this finally put a dent in him. Now you have a chance to finish this fight for good.

I just don't see kaido bending the knee really, like this is exactly what he wants, just to die after a really good fight, so if we attempt to recruit him i feel he'll just attack us again and again until we kill or he somehow manages to turn the fight around, either way though i think it taints his final battle

>>
Tbf if this fails, we'll just kill him probably
>>
>>5606096
You are very right.
It would probably be better for everyone if we ended things right here, he might still try to destroy everything we love just to make us actually do it.
But we're flawed people playing a very flawed person, and despite it all i think Silver has lost enough people he likes today.
>>
>>5606100

"Not enough for you? Or have you learned your lesson yet?!"

"Urrrgh. This one's gonna be one bad hangover."
The giant pulls his head out of the ground and shakes himself awake.
"Sorry, what was that? I have rocks in my ears. It sounded like you're asking if I was about to surrender or not."

"That's correct."

"WORORORORORO! You must be out of your mind! Give up?! NOW?! When I'm having the most fun of my life?! You're dumber than I thought! The only way this ends is if one of us dies! I told you already!"

"Yes. You said as much. But I'm not the stupid one here Kaido."

"What?"

"Here you are, having fun for the first time in years. And all you can think about is when it will end, instead of how you can have more of it. That's the problem with you Kaido. You're strong as an ox, but too dumb to lead your own life."

"THE HELL ARE YOU SAYING?! I was having a blast up until now but if you start hurling insults now I swear I'll-"

"Let me finish. You said you wanted to change things and you couldn't. Right?"

"Y-Yeah. I thought I could become Joy Boy and change the world. But I just couldn't do it."

"No wonder. You're strong as an ox but too dumb to lead a fulfilling life. Isn't it obvious? You're a fighter, not a leader. You could beat anyone but have no idea how to run things. You sat around years, building a worthless army to wage a war. That's not what you are. You're an oni that's meant to break things. Now look at yourself. You're doing exactly that and you're enjoying yourself. You got too hung up on how, what and when to fight instead of just doing it. And in your solitude things got warped in that dumb head of yours. You want to die that badly? Fine. I'll blow your brains out if that's what you want. But if you want to live, if you want to fight and if you want that precious war of yours then all you have to do is follow me."

Kaido looks at you in utter silence. He's scowling but he's not saying a word. He's mad, or wants to be. Or rather he knows that he should be. But on some deeper level he feels like you're RIGHT. And the way he's looking up at you with reverence confirms your suspicions. He's having flashbacks of older, simpler times. Times that may not have been the best, but they were certainly better than this. And when a man is offered everything that he years for on a silver platter, what would he do? He could have the legendary fights of the last era, the war to end all wars, one violent enough to maybe shake the world down to its core and instigate a greater change. And he'd loose all those pesky responsibilities that chain him down.
"Rocks..."

"Silver."

"Silver. Take me back! I don't want to do this shit no more!"

"Then kneel! And together the seas will go back where they belong. To us!"

"Yes... captain."
>>
And that is where I'll end things sadly.

Yeah having kaido move out of his home with his tail between his legs makes it look like we're scared of luffy, and thats how the entire world would see it, plus we have no reason to just give wano to him in the first place, like obviously we're gonna have to have kaido change how he does things but that does not have to involve giving the island to a complete other unaffiliated crew

also, a reminder that silver had a daughter without having sex, will soon have more kids BY having sex, killed or subjugated all of his enemies up to and including the emperors and world government, built a floating pirate city, had all kinds of adventures and literally trained to do it purely by fighting super strong people to the death

Better plan: remake Wano (if we win the war there)
instead the retarded retards that they are, going on about tradition at the expense of everything else Silver and/or Kaido and/or their people could just go about and tear everything down.
If your traditions are that good, fight back, win. Show us how much their fucking worth to you, and if they're not we will show you the simple truth of the world, that your capacity for violence decides if you can be free or not.
So start acting like actual samurai and be more concerned with winning then honour, cause there are bits of of Wano I can see Silver not being repulsed by.

Lot's of people will die. Lots and lots and lots of them, but who cares, it's wano and after the revolt has been crushed we can remake it in our own image.
>>
>>5607393
reminder he did all of this while luffy spent that amount of time dicking around being useless and "training" like a weenie when all he had to do was fight strong people until he stopped being a weenie. Quite literally just get good.
>>
>>5608661
>Weenies and the world government hate him
>This simple trick will make you the strongest force on the seas
>It just links to a picture that says "just fight them bro"
>>
>>5608661
I mean tbf gotten more power from actual fighting in canon than silver has here hasn't he? like besides the timeskip training all of luffys power have been gotten while fighting, got advanced observation mid-fight with katakuri, got advanced armament mid-fight with mooks/queen, got advanced conquerors and awakened during his fight with kaido, but im blanking if silver unlocked any power ups mid-fight except this new conquerors power, like even his awakening happened right b4 he got in a fight instead of mid-fight, and needed to do a training period for the big mom fight
>>
>>5609072
Most of his 'training' is just constantly fighting till he figures it out.

Like the closest thing to actual teaching he has gotten have been live demonstrations, hints by Eliza, or being actual learning like with the books.

Most of the stuff like Shakushi he learns through combat or figures out.
>>
Wano I don't think we should really interfere too much in--besides the fact that leaving now would be a admission of weakness no matter how we slice it, leaving right now would be disastrous to the people living in wano rn. It needs to be a slow gradual leave or else the people over in wano will fight again with the shogun--which will cause many more deaths that the red scabbards will have to deal with.
>>
>>5609101
You know, you are selling me on just leaving wano.
Could we invade it later and see if they'll put up a fight?

>Oh dear sweet lord, I think they're bro-fisting
>>
The Golden Age of Piracy began with the ending of a life and was prolonged with the sacrifice of another. This new one begins with the sparing of a life. For this moment can't be mistaken for anything else. "Hundred Beast" Kaido, one of the Four Emperors, the strongest creature alive kneels. He was beaten in one-on-one combat, a feat thought to be impossible. And a single individual achieved what the entire World Government was attempting to do for years now. He reduced the number of Emperors in the world by one. Those keenly aware of the machinations of the world can practically hear the gears straining under the pressure, the balance has been irrevocably upset.

"Come on. Get up. I had enough of this place. We're going back to the ship. Stitches will patch us up. Also I'm hungry. What do you wanna eat?"

"I like ramen."

"Good. Then that's what we're gonna eat. Hn-"
With little effort you sprout a pair of bat wings which latch onto your shoulder and hang down like a leather cape. You give the crew the call with a whistle and the Dauntless shows up in no time. Boarding the ship, you're greeted by your crewmembers before they start reeling in shock.

"Welcome back cap-WHOAH! What's Kaido doing here?!"

"Relax fish-man. We're on the same side now."

As Kaido finds a nice place to sit down everyone else one the ship hops a little as his mighty frame makes the ship sink a little. Everyone turns their attention to you as you go and sit down on a nearby barrel and lean against the main mast of the ship. They are obviously taken aback by this development.
"How did you- WHAT did you do?!"

"You should've learned by now not to doubt me Hook. Now. Take us out of here. I yearn for home."

"You think the navy will let us go? Just like that?"

"Yes Toxin. They will. They know what happens if they get in my way. Now, ramen for two. And keep 'em coming."
Gu nods and dutifully enters the kitchen.
"Stitches-"
You call out to her. She lets out a squeak and sees you beckon her closer with your new black hand. You keep talking to her as she gets to addressing your injuries.
"And once I'm done look over Kaido too. I may have roughed him up a bit."
Kaido grins.

For a moment the others just stare at you but they do agree that it'd be best if you got out of there and quick. So they return to their posts as the Dauntless sets sails. Only Nutmeg remains who gives you a worried look.
"Silver. Are you okay?"

"Yes. Why?"

"I just-"
She appears to be fixated on your arm, which still persists, and Kaido sitting across the deck and looking at you with great intensity.
"I'm sorry about what happened. But all this? This is crazy. What happened at Marineford, your arm... Kaido is sitting ON he SHIP! What happened?"

"Yeah. I'm sorry too. But that's just how things are."

"Aren't you a little bit sad?"

"'Course I am. But people die. That simple. Nothing I can do about it. And if she heard I was all mopey about it she'd come down and beat my ass to teach me a lesson. All I can do now is make the most of a bad situation. And right now-"
You look down on your black hand and give it a tight squeeze.
"I feel like I can do anything."

"Yeah. I... get that. And you do look the part. But this doesn't feel like you. I'm worried. If you need anything I'd-"

"WORORORORO! Looks like you got yourself a real caring wifey Silver! Don't worry about him girl. There's nothing wrong with him."

Nutmeg stomps over to Kaido with her arms on her hips and looks at him sternly.
"Alright you big ogre. You clearly know what's up. So how about you start explaining things?!"

"I like your moxy. And out of respect for your mother and your captain I will tolerate your attitude. But watch your tongue girl. Now let me explain-"

You sit back quietly and wave for Jaws to get you a milkbox because this is promising to be interesting.
"You may be aware of a little thing known as haki, with its different colors and such. Well one of them is the color of the supreme king, or Conquerors Haki for short."

"Yeah yeah, my brother has it. One in a million. Get on with it!"

"Right. Well out of that one in a million only a tiny fraction of people ever learn how to really use it. They learn how to imbue their weapons and fists with the might to conquer entire nations."
Kaidos draconic eyes then shift to you as he gets deadly serious.
"But in my entire life I've only ever met one man who mastered it. Well. Two now. One is that dumbass fool husband of yours sipping his milk. The other was me and your moms former captain, Rocks."

"Bullshit. Mama never ever said anything like that!"

"Well, Linlin never liked admitting someone was above her in the food chain. And Rocks certainly was beyond both of our reach. Sometimes I still remember him beating my ass. Only real difference between me and Linlin was that Rocks was above her in bed too. But I digress."
Kaido cracks his neck as he tries to recall things.
"Truth be told I'm not good at all this egghead stuff so I never understood it completely. I only got whatever Rocks mumbled about when he was thinking. But basically he learned how to harness a Supreme Kings power beyond simply smacking someone with it. And believe me, that's something. Even I had trouble learning how to use it this much. And I bet your punk brother has no idea about it. But Rocks did. He noticed how when he released completely and for long enough times things broke around him, ships cracked, people bled, and so on. He focused on that and honed it to a razors edge. How? I have no clue. Believe me I tried to copy him. But it looked as if he could just... command the world to behave a certain way. And it did. Armies and fleets broke before him, islands sunk under the sea and the heavens themselves obeyed his every whim. He could skip mountains on the sea like pebbles. It was surreal."
He then points at you.
"And when he used it his haki looked exactly like his arm."

Nutmeg looks at you questioning Kaidos words but you simply shrug.
"It checks out."

"Don't give me those looks girly. We fought at the bottom of the sea where the water didn't dare to fall on us because it didn't dare to intrude on his will."

"But... that's impossible."

"No. Once you realize two truths of this world it becomes quite obvious that it's very much possible. First, everything has Haki, or willpower. Every form of life from bugs, to fish, to people have a guiding will. The will to survive. The will to prosper and more. We can even learn to harness it to achieve things normally thought impossible. You have it, I have it, we all have it. The other is that even things that don't live have a will. A voice. What happens if you can command a thing, anything, what to do?"
>>
"But the problem is that it takes a lunatic so arrogant, so egocentric that you need to implicitly believe that all things in the world are beneath you to work. Ego bordering on madness. That's something you can't learn. Something that even those one in a million who have the disposition to be king lack."

"How do you even figure something like that out?"
Jaws asks with his arms crossed.

"Well Rocks had help. He loved history and archeology, see? Two of his many hobbies. He found mentions of such an ability in texts from the Void Century."
Suddenly everyone stops what they are doing on the ship and look at Kaido, ignoring everything else.

"What did you just say?"

"You heard me. Of course Rocks didn't figure everything out. He stopped researching it once his obsessions lead him elsewhere. But he did figure out what made the Great Kingdom so great. A nation lead by all-powerful god-kings, philosophers and warlords who could lay waste to nations with a thought. A place that had miraculous technology not made with science and understanding but sheer, unadulterated will. Constructs that walked because their masters willed them to move, and no other reason. You may have heard of them. Three that were too big even for the World Government to disappear. You know them as the Ancient Weapons. Back then they were just tools. Rocks managed to learn their secret and made it his own and he was convinced afterwards that he was meant to rule the world. And... who could argue that he wasn't?"

Silence falls on the ship as the weight of the revelation presses down on it. Everyone feels a knot form in their throats. And how couldn't they? They were just casually exposed to truths that if leaked would mark every island they step on for death.
"W-What?"

"Hey do you have any booze on this ship? I forgot how much of a pain in the ass pain was. And I don't like being sober!"

"So this is why y'all kept calling me Rocks?"

"Sure is. You inherited his will, Eliza made sure of that. And it helps that you're like a perfect copy of him. But I do recognize you now. So don't worry. Point is you have a talent that others couldn't even dream of. Most mooks live pointless, dull and gray lives, never leaving their safe little homes, ignorant of the world at large. Others sail the seas, defying the world and spitting in the face of the impossible. Then there's us. Those select few who could leave an impression on the tapestry of history. And there's you. The one who makes it."

>Cool. I don't care.
>Then I guess this is what the Government wanted to stop from happening? Someone like me showing up?

So how long til morgan comes to us for a public statement? and when he does what are we gonna say, the basics im picturing is pretty much something along the lines of silver just doing pretty much a call out, saying some shit like "in a year at most the WG will be destroyed, and the remaining 2 yonko along with the revolutionary army either get out the way, put themselves under me or get destroyed
>>
>>5618159
"I am coming, please resist" would be a solid callback.
>>
What are chances Law, Kidd or the samurai would submit?

I imagine Kidd might not put out of spite, but Law's bio admits he thinks he backed up the wrong horse with Luffy instead of us.
>>
>>5618184
Kidd 100% not, Law maybe? its hard to say, but he definetly does have loyalty and affection for luffy for helping take down doffy so if we get in conflict with him at best he stays neuteral, and the samurai probably not, like they're gonna do everything in their power to make momo the shogun, so maybe if theres a scenario where we keep wano under us but momo rules it but highly fucking unlikely any sort of negotiation like that will be accepted with kaido as our subordinate, maybe if we had killed kaido and decided to go to wano to wipe out the rest of his crew
>>
>>5618191
Momo might surrender if for the good of Wano.

Honestly, if he does what we tell him to Kaido might accept it. He wanted to make Yanato Shogun after all.
>>
"But there is one little problem. He's dead, isn't he? That means he lost."

Kaido nods.
"That he did. Nobody is invincible. Not me-"
He looks at the wounds you gave him.
"-not you-"
Then points at the ones he gave you.
"-and not Rocks. Though we liked to think otherwise. We thought we were unstoppable. We were an army of monsters after all, lead by the man who will rule the world. Or so we thought. But then-"

"God Valley happened."
Pepe speaks up.
"I've been meaning to ask about that. What exactly happened there? I struggle to recall anything with so much red tape around it. All I know are a few details."

"Wororororo. I'm not surprised. The government doesn't like to remember its blunders. And no blunder is quite as big as admitting you need the help of your greatest enemy. But yeah. God Valley happened."
Kaido shuts his eyes for a moment and you see him struggling to recall it. Perhaps it's quite a painful memory.
"Well I can't tell you precisely what happened. I almost died there. But I can tell you what we wanted to do there. And how we messed up. God Valley. If the name doesn't give it away I feel sorry for you. It was the valley of the gods. The original home of the Celestial Dragons."

That gets your attention.
"Explain."

"Gladly. Well for starters, why do you think those bastards live so high up on that rock of theirs?"

"To look down on others."

"Correct. Or so they would tell you. The truth is they moved to the highest, hardest to reach place in the world, away from their slaves and servants whom they could torment freely. Because they were afraid. Worororo. I guess you reminded them that it's pointless to run, which is why it was so funny to begin with. But originally those defects lived here, on the sea like everyone else, on an island that belonged to the Old Kingdom. A place its rulers built up as literal heaven on earth. A paradise. That is what it was. Where those maggots decided to burrow. That was the plan of Rocks. Go into their homes, butcher everyone that stands in our way, then take those bubble wrapped mongrels and execute them before the world. It would've been a powerful message. That the Rocks stand above even the gods. And with the nobles gone we would've announced that the world is free. A free for all to be exact. No gods, no kings, all men fighting to be or stay in control. And naturally Rocks would've beaten all of them."
>>
"We didn't think it'd be easy. But we thought our victory was guaranteed. But we underestimated just how much cornered rats can fight. It was surreal. Every marine in the damn sea came at us. And it wasn't these weak little nobodies that they have today. Back in the day the seas were wild, with only a few pirate crews but who were much more vicious than these children today. Similarly the Marines were also built different. Garp, Sengoku, Tsuru, they were just a few of a legion of badasses. Most of them died that day. But each one could put up a fight. And even though there weren't that many marines there were still more than the island could hold. We fought for days upon days, and they just kept coming."

You touch the wounds Kaido inflicted on you.
"Yeah. I get it."

"Yeah. Even if Rocks was strong, he wasn't invincible. He could be hurt just like I did you. And a little secret? Garp, Tsuru and Sengoku? All can use Conquerors Haki like I do. But that wouldn't have been enough. Even if they threw all the chaff at us and the rest focused on Rocks. So they did the unthinkable. We didn't see it coming. They called the Roger for help and he answered, alongside most pirate fleets in the Grand Line, his friends. The navy teamed up with the future Pirate King, our rival. And that fool was glad to do it. He not only had beef with us but that bleeding heart of his made him despise what Rocks was doing. Rogers crew occupied most of us while he and Garp together beat the tar out of Xebec. Both of them were immensely strong, with Conquerors haki protecting them from Rocks and his ability."
Kaido is... actually tearing up now.
"That's the last thing I remember. Xebec fighting those two. I got knocked out at one point and I only woke up when Linlin saved my life. She was on the verge of death alongside everyone else. She fed me my Devil Fruit to keep me alive and told me that we needed to run because Xebec lost. I've never even seen him. But I knew deep down that he was dead, and the island around us was falling into the sea. Their fight has dealt too much damage to it. So we ran, we licked our wounds, divvied up Rocks' territories in the New World and the rest is history. Some disappeared, some died, but the Rocks never reformed."

"Kek...KEKEKEKEKEHAHAHAHAHHAHAA! Rookie mistake!"
You laugh.
"You mean you didn't think others would stop you? Amateurs!"
You get up from your barrel and throw the empty milk box aside.
"Thank you for telling me this Kaido! Now I know I'm on the right track. Because unlike you I don't expect the other players of the game to not try and win!"
>>

The journey back to Outer Heaven goes by mostly without any issues. Kaido does ask Marcella once if she truly believes she follows you of her own volition and not because of your ability to affect others, which was a response to one of her jabs at how it feels being a former warlord, but a firm yell at both of them managed to calm the situation down a bit. But after that you do arrive back at home at long last! And things appear to be more crowded than usual with many more ships being there than the docks can handle, so there's a small navy around the floating island.

You enter without much fanfare and get greeted by the tumult inside. Despite the alarmingly large crowd things are much quieter than usual. Or at least the shouting is not the usual heartfelt, careless one of unrestrained merriment but a more disgruntled one. The pirates that followed you into battle did not get out unscathed. A great many of them were badly wounded in the fighting, with some of them loosing crew members. As soon as your presence is made known one of them approaches you full of fury.

"You!"
He marches right up in your face and looks like he's about to grab you by the collar but he stops himself out of fear.
"We followed you because we trusted you! And now look at what happened!"
He shows you a stump where his left arm used to be.
"Look what you did! And for what?!"

He's about to continue when he notices Kaido towering behind you with a VERY angry look on his face and the mans jaw is left hanging. While he's distracted you snap your fingers and order the workers of Outer Heaven to bring you a chest full of gold, which you then kick over so all the treasure inside spills out. Then you pat him on the shoulder with your black hand.
"There's plenty more where that came from. And we have a few spare arms in storage. You can pick which one you like."
Then you turn to the crowd.
"As for you. All of you will be well compensated. Now be quiet. I got a lot of work to do."

You ascend to your throne where you see Crocodile and Katakuri arguing about who did what exactly but they stop the moment you show up.
"Well look who it is! About time you-"
But Crocodile stops mid sentence and even the cigar falls out of his mouth. Katakuri can't even muster the strength to say a word.

"How is it that nobody notices me? Am I that sneaky? Anyway, what's up Croco-boy?"

"K-Kaido? Why are you still here?"

"What does it look like you moron? I'm working here!"

Katakuri swallows.
"Well. That explains why it looked like the world was about to end."
Then he looks at your arm.
"What... happened back there Silver?"

"What do you think?"
You sit down on your couch and everyone else takes their own special seat.
"We sorted out our disagreements with Kaido. Now he works for me just like you."

"Now just hold on a min-"
Crocodile is about to raise his hand when your black arm stretches out and stops him.

"Think about what you're about to say real carefully Crocodile. I might have to carve them on your grave."

For the first time you see Crocodile genuinely sweating as he feels every grain of sand that makes up his body being locked in place.
"Never mind."

"Good."
Your arm retracts.
"Now, onto business."

"Already Silver?"

"The devil never sleeps Katakuri. And I got a lot on my plate right now. First I'll have to pay all those down that participated in my war. Then-"

Hmm, what we do after dealing with Marriage?

I feel hitting the Underworld and General recruitment are on the table.

>>
>>5622433
a short break?

There are so many characters whose viewpoint I'd love to see explored after this whole grand madness that I'd honestly wouldn't mind taking a session or two off to delve into that.
Our crew, generally Outer Heaven, Mary. Hell even Koby. Fishy and Sonia, Katakuri and our family there. Crocodile. -->Morgans<--, I'd love to see a hint of Blackbeard's thoughts.
How did people in "our" islands take it? Last time we did something like this the Revolutionary army danced with glee, Koala has been the go-to viewpoint there. Don't tell me you're not curious.
Shakky and whatshisface the dark king. That's a fight and a half.

There's just *so much* I'd love to see. But yea, the underworld and the islands who sent troops to see Kaizoku-Nee executed needs a sternly written letter sent.

>>
>>5622503
If the WG could just use this whenever, they would have nuked the hell out of Wholecake, Wano and any other countries they didn't like

Its probably got some sort of weakness or condition too be used, also you can't get rid of public figures like two Emperors that easily.
>>
>>5622506
I mean i wouldn't assume so, like the thing is for all the emperors, is they weren't really being an issue for the WG, yeah their existence was a big pain in the ass but otherwise they mostly just chilled in the new world and did their own shit, not fucking with the WG at all, and for if it has a weakness i'd just assume it has a large reload time, so they need to have it used when they can cover up the aftermath easily to hide its existence or if the situations really desperate, and i'd say this is definetly a bad enough situation for im to decide to pull it out
>>
>>5622516
Counterpoint, if Rocks was really as big a threat as they say he was, why didn't they just nuke the fuck out of him and his crew
>>
>>5622517
Well i assume with rocks its because by the time he did become a big enough threat for it to be considered he was constantly on the move, like it never seemed rocks had a island he ruled from, to me it just seems he was constantly on the move, for like even hachinosu its only ever referred to as the island where the rocks pirates form, not their home base or anything like that, and hell with the fact that "God valley doesn't exist" anymore maybe they did use it on him in the end
>>
"Then I guess I should get around to planning my marriage. S."

"What?"
Katakuri frowns at you.

"Marriage? Are you kidding me? We should be focusing on following up this attack while the government forces are still reeling from the blow! You give them a chance and they'll just muster their forces once again!"

Taking this opportunity to glance over Katakuri you reply to Crocodile.
"Let them. If they gather up everyone who'd stand against me that saves me time. And besides, I'm tired."
You lean back in your couch and straighten your back.
"I feel like I've been fighting for months. A little rest will do me good."

"No but seriously, what's this about another marriage?"

"Let it go Katakuri-"
Nutmeg waves her hand.
"I gave him the go-ahead. He can have a few extra wives."

"N-NUTMEG! Have you gone MAD?!"

"I'll tell you something. You try spending a night with him and tell me how long you can last! I NEED REINFORCEMENTS DAMN IT! Though that new arm of his is giving me impure thoughts. Just imagine how deep-"

"LALALALALA! I'M NOT LISTENING TO ANY OF THAT!"

You grimace.
"Katakuri. Pull your fingers out of your ear. We're still having a meeting here. How did things go for you by the way? Everyone got out just fine?"

"Ahem. Yes. Sorry. In short we got banged up a bit but none of us suffered any permanent damage thankfully. Well, none of the family. But I can't say the same about the governments agents. We demolished the bridge that connected Marineford with the Red Line. Still, they had plenty of ships to send reinforcements. So we were occupied with fending those off so you didn't get caught in a pincer maneuver."

"Hmph. And as for me I was busy herding the cats you called an army while you just dashed off to tackle the entire upper brass all on your own!"
Crocodile smugly says as he lights a new cigar.

"It's not a contest Crocodile. If it was you'd still look pathetic compared to me."

"Why you-"

"Anyway, good job on holding the navy off of my back. That's all I needed of you. If Elizas death is anyones fault then it's mine. But really it's nobodies. You can do everything right and still fail. That's just how it is sometimes."
>>
Hmm do you think blackbeard might invade wano here? cause IIRC puddings currently with the straw hats and in canon blackbeard seems to be relying on pudding to get a way to read the poneglyphs, so if he knows the straw hats are currently going to wano and that kaido doesn't seem to be returning anytime soon he might just straight up invade it to try and take her
>>
"But anyways-"
You lean forward, ready to get serious.
"Since I'll be busy arranging my marriage that leaves you to prepare things."

"Hmmm? Now just hold on a second-"

"You'll be fairly compensated for your efforts."
That got Crocodiles attention.
"How would you like immortality?"

"Go on..."

"You start gathering forces for me and I'll give you two hundred years to live."

"SILVER! You need those years you know!"

"Not any more Stitches. I can keep going as long as I want now and nothing can stop me. We can still collect years but now we use it as payment. How does it sound Crocodile? You make a force for me. And I let you live forever."

He's trying to act all composed and dignified but it's clear that Crocodile is quite shaken by this. He's definitely aware of your efforts to collect the lifeforce of others.
"Well shit. You drive a hard bargain kid. Count me in."

"You can count on us anytime Silver."

"I know Katakuri. But I want you guys to chill out. I'll need someone to watch over my territories and stuff while I'm out crusading."

"Of course."

"And that leaves me and my marriage. Shit. What am I going to tell Fishy? Or Snakey? Hmmm. How do I even plan that? This is going to be hard."

"If I may interject-"
Kaido sets down his massive club next to you to get your attention.

"Sure, go ahead Kaido."

"Back at my place in Wano we got this Fire Festival coming up. It's basically one giant party that involves a whole country. If you wanna you can have it during that. You'd only need to do a little re-decoration and no arrangements because you'd already have everything there that you need for a wedding!"

"Oooooo! That sounds interesting! Is it big?"

"Oh yeah it's big."

"Is it nice?"

"You bet your ass it's nice. It has the best food and the best drinks from a whole country in it. I thoroughly enjoy it. Basically the only part of ruling that shitty backwater that doesn't suck."

"Hmmmm. That does sound cool. And I do like giant parties. But I'd still need to get a bunch of stuff."

"Well, yeah if you want things other than sake or rice cakes. But it's still quite a bit easier than doing things from scratch. Faster too. So what do you say?"

Marcella crosses her arms.
"I don't know. This sounds suspicious. What aren't you telling us?"

Kaido quickly covers her mouth and whispers in her ears.

Nutmegs siblings if they want too.

Some of our island heads, or maybe some others
>>
>>5622632
Yeah we do need to actually send out feelers on boas status, since while i doubt the seraphim managed to kill her she might be injured, and obviously we need to talk to her about offically making our alliance known, rather than this weird thing we have rn with the fact shes offically betrayed the WG, luckly though marines 100% don't have the resources and manpower rn to invade amazon lily, but do need to talk to her about that aswell
>>
>>5622640
Also, gotta make sure she doesn't leave us for Goofy

She doesn't have to be his enemy, but she certainly can't become his ally.
>>
Also should we use the wedding to offically annouce kaidos bent the knee or should we do that b4, offically kaido informs the beast pirates ASAP but talking more morgans and releasing the public statement
>>
>>5622631
What kind of weenie party is that?
Nono. Invite *everyone*. All of them. At once. Anyone who fancies showing up can do so.
And food from all of them, at once! Otherwise I fear we might accidentally a famine in Wano and while that's fucking deserved it'd be a bit to funny.

Big party is *BIG* and if they have to postpone that festival thing so everyone gets a fair chance I think that's perfectly reasonable. I don't think they will but meh, details.
>>
>>5622642
Doubt boa would do that, she loves her sisters, i think most likely she gets us to agree to let her remain purely neuteral in any conflict with luffy, or if she does side with luffy she'd come to us and inform beforehand that its just her personal allegaince and it has nothing to do with the wider amazons as a whole, at which point silver would prob let her go but inform her that while he'd try to spare her personally for sandersonia that he couldn't promise the same for anyone under her, or that if she kept trying to fight once beaten he'd spare her himself
>>
>>5622646
Would be funny if we use that Festival to Rule Wano and ironically make everyone happy.

Especially if we get rid of Orochi
>>
>>5622646
I mean that would make silver put his own ego over sandersonia and shirahoshis happiness, cause say we invited shanks and blackbeard, yeah they probably don't accept but if they do we have to then let them in or we look like a bitch, and if they do come 90% the entire situation explodes into a massive conflict and ruins their wedding, like yeah if this was just a silver thing i'd be all for inviting literally everyone, but ultimately the wedding is for shirahoshi an sandersonia rather than anyone else
>>
>>5622591
congrats anon!
you won the support of everyone
unfortunately something important came up, something important
so I must end things here
but I'll continue with the choice you voted next week
and I can promise at least one full session next week
apologies again

Its ok

Nono I meant everyone from Lily and Fishman island.
You know, the friends and (very extended) family of the brides.
>>
>>5622661
Oh yeah thats fine then, i was mostly just talking about the ppl who 100% had to attend or would really want to, but sure if kyle the trout fishman wants to come let the man come
>>
Hmmm, so what we gonna do to Orochi's corpse?

I kinda want to just erase it since he keeps regrowing heads.
>>
>>5622667
I mean i imagine we just have him thrown in the ocean once we seen him rez, that or have his DF stolen, since his fruit is actually really useful, and even if we don't have someone eat it we can use it for trade later
>>
>>5622679
Hmmm, could we swap fruit for his life?

Since the Orochi fruit gives you 8 lives
>>
>>5622665
Oh and Marcellas pizza chain. They're gonna be invited too. Don't think I've forgotten about them Spooks!
I want a pizza so damn big It'l make Luffy think that maybe we're not all bad.

Mary/Koby. Swordfondler?
Shirahoshi and Sandersonia, It'd be a nice way to segue them back into the story.

Shakki and Reyleigh.

Morgans. Yes. Please.
But honestly our people: like the kids in Ann's pirate orphanage, the Oyer Heaven crews. What do people think of us and how'd they see us?

Could also get a neptune omake see his reaction too all this, or maybe just an omake of Random joe number 38 and a reaction like that

What about Marco or the WB Pirates?

Or Moriah?

They worth it?

They prob wouldn't care much, marco would be just like "hmm that happened, don't think this will affect the town much though, if anything keeps the goverment off our backs"
>>
Stussie as well, I imagie that Buckinham clone is either running away or reporting to WG, or back to Vegapunk.
>>
>>5622694
Queen's or king's pov
>>
Should we do Rob Lucci, CP0 or such?
>>
>>5623253
Lucci was to much of a pansy to try and stop us. Or to smart, fair could be fair.
Either way it could be a neat way to set things up for the future, underworld kingpins or royalty complaining to him that things did in fact *not* go as he promised and what are they supposed to do now.
Or a more clinical debrief with him to contrast what I expect to be a much more emotional and personality driven set with Mary/Koby/swordfondler and Hina
>>
>>5622658
For omakes: what our crew was doing, seeing and feeling during the war. I'd quite like to know what was going on with them, not full fight scenes (but thatd be awesome) but rather what they went through.

Somewhere on a restricted Government Island:

"The operating table has been set up Stella."

"Wonderful news Shaka! Let us make haste then!"

The two figures go through the great compound before they reach the lab in question. After going through a thorough disinfection process and donning operating gowns they go in and get greeted by an array of other scientists, who await eagerly for the dissection to start, five of whom sit much closer than anyone else.

"Oh dear. This is a fine pickle."

"Indeed Stella."
The other figure nods

"What have they done to you poor boy? Well, let us not dally. We must find out how this could've happened."
The two move over and immediately get to work.
"What happened? Do we not have the records? How about onboard diagnostics?"

"Unfortunately it seems that there was a lot of interference just before S-Shark stopped transmitting data, as such, most footage that we have is corrupted. The black box also sustained critical damage and we haven't managed to pull anything out of it yet. But we're still trying. What's certain is that he was in autonomous mode and under the orders of Sentomaru before destruction."

"Hmmm, yes. And he's still recovering. Poor lad. Then there's nothing left to do but find out the cause of termination the old fashioned way! Shaka, the plasma scalpel please!"

After much work the two manage to pry open the shell of the Seraphim to take a closer look at its insides. But the mangled mess of flesh and machine is hard to decipher even for those who put it together.
"Oh my. That's some extensive damage. I expected things to be mostly intact."

"Indeed. It seems that S-Sharks carapace offered no protection against external forces. Meaning the enemy combatant was fast enough to keep pace with a Lunarian in speed mode, or worse yet it was capable of exploiting the 0.01 second opening when S-Shark switched from maximum armor to maximum speed. This suggests an enemy combatants speed was on par with the Pika Pika no Mi user. Worrying."

"Hmmmmm. Worrying is the right word my dear Shaka. But I'm not so sure about your hypothesis."

"What do you mean Doctor?"

"Observe."
The doctor moves his scalpel to the region that used to be the Seraphims head and opens up its brain case.
"Behold! Despite the extensive damage to the cranium the brain matter is relatively intact."

"How is that possible?"

"Simple. The force that S-Shark was subjected to was not kinetic energy. But pressure. He was not hit with explosives or riddled with many attacks. No, he was crushed to death, slowly enough for the soft brain matter to conform to its new shell even as it was compressed. And one more thing-"
He delves deeper with his tools.
"As I suspected. Out of the two pituitary fire-glands the armor gland was active at the moment of expiration."
>>
"By the laws of relativity... how did you know?"

"I suspected this to be the case when I failed to see any signs of S-Shark being in speed mode. Unfortunately, my esteemed colleagues, it appears that whatever force terminated the Seraphim did so by overwhelming the natural defenses of a Lunarian."

The auditorium is filled with the rumbling of the academics. Suddenly a robotic voice speaks up.
"But Stella! That'd mean-"

"Yes, dear Edison. It means that whoever, or whatever rendered S-Shark inoperational, is capable of exerting more pressure than at the bottom of the sea, where we tested the limits of their durability. In fact, it farexceeds it, given how the Seraphim suffered no damage what-so-ever at the seafloor."

"So... what now professor?"

"Simple. We must determine what is the true limit of the Seraphims ability so we may have an idea of just how much force we're talking about. I objected to testing on live Seraphim before, however I doubt S-Shark will mind now. We must stimulate its glands to activate the flames, then see just how much stress his carapace can withstand-"

"Doctor! Doctor!"
An assistant runs in.
"Doctor! An important call for you!"

"Hmmm? Who could it be at this hour? Hello? Miss Ta- please slow down dear I don't understand a thing you're saying. What happened to him? Oh dear. Yes of course I'm willing to help any way I can, don't you worry! Have the doctors send his files to me via carrier birds at once!"
Click.
"Ahem. Gentlemen, I must regretfully take my leave. Please Shaka, continue the autopsy without me. I must prepare things for a friend."

First one done. Two more coming shortly

Tashigi woke up from her heavy sedation with a blood-curdling howl. She reached up with her dominant hand to block out the lamp of the operating table because its light burnt her eyes as if someone was stabbing them with hot iron needles. Except it wasn't the light at fault, nor did she have two eyes anymore. In fact, the act of reaching up only brought her mental anguish. She felt her arm, she felt it move but she could not see it. The mental dissonance brought her unimaginable agony. She knocked over two of the doctors currently operating on her as she tried to reach for her missing arm. When she found nothing coming from her right shoulder her banshee-like screaming grew so loud it started tearing at her vocal cords. She had to be injected with enough morphine that could kill a horse just so they could stabilize her and she was kept in that delirious state for about a week. After that she stabilized enough that she wouldn't threaten to gouge out the eyes of anyone who came near her.

Leaning heavily onto her crutch due to the loss of her balance and her weakened state Tashigi shambled into the intensive care wing where she found out her superior was.
"Smoker..."

The vice-admiral was bandaged from head to toe with more tubes going into him than Tashigi could count with her blurry vision.
"Miss. I understand your desire to be here but your presence helps neither of you. I must ask once again that you leave."

"How long does he have to stay like this?"

"Hard to say. We had a lot of trouble performing surgery on him. His logia physiology made it nigh impossible for us to treat him. We managed only with the help of sea-stone but he was losing strength rapidly so we couldn't use it too much. I'm not sure of the full capabilities of his body, if he can dissolve himself into smoke and reconstitute himself that way-"

"He can't. Once the substantial body takes damage it needs to heal like any normal flesh."

"Then... I'm afraid I'm unable to reassure you. Though the vice-admirals condition isn't critical, even if he makes a full recovery it's unlikely that he'll be fit for duty. It'd be a small miracle if he didn't lose the function of everything below his neck."

"Then he's dead."

"No. At least not ye-"

"His work WAS his life you fool!"
Tashigi lets go of her crutch and briefly stumbles before she, with teeth gritting from the pain, straightens herself. She takes out the broken remnants of her sword Shigure and sets the shards down on the nightstand next to his bed.
"Don't worry captain. I'll find a way to fix this."

"Miss, you can't leave that there! It's dangerous!"

"I'm going to come back for him after I make a call to Dr Vegapunk! Anyone who touches my sword while I'm gone will be the next one who'll be placed here! You hear me?!"

"V-VEGAPUNK?!"

"Yeah. The upper brass decided to make Smoker the Hero of Arabasta against his will. Now they're going to pay for a hero's treatment!"
>>
Oh shit. I just realized I used the wrong picture here. No matter. Here's the last one.
>>
Coby woke up in the middle of the night, screaming. It's always the same nightmare. The sky turned black as night and the ground painted red. He climbs a mountain to escape a deluge but when he reaches the top he realizes the mound is made of skulls and the figure who made them is standing at the top with a black hand reaching for him. He starts heaving once his scream ends. It's been the same for over a week now and he's tired. He breaks down crying, he can't take it anymore.

"Coby! Coby! For the love of-"
Helmeppo was also woken up.
"Get yourself together! Hey! HEY!"

"When will it end?!"
He sobs.

"Come on. Let's get you out of here. Get some fresh air!"

Helmeppo starts dragging the sobbing mess out of bed and through the halls of the barracks until they reach a balcony, where to their surprise they find Garp and Mary already sitting on the edge.
"Can't sleep either?"
Garp mocks them.
"Come. Take a beer and get in line."

As they sit down next to their fellows Coby looks at the glass bottle in great contemplation. He never liked alcohol. But the numbness is preferable to his current mental state, so he fights off his own gag reflex and starts drinking.
"Teacher... Will I... will I be able to sleep again?"

"Hmmmm. Probably."
Garp gulps down some more booze.
"Haven't met anyone who hasn't recovered from the side effects. Of course there are those who off themselves before that could happen so..."

"Y-You mean this is common?!"

"Uh. Yeah Helmeppo. It is. The human mind is not meant to handle pressure like that. That's why it's so dangerous. Picking up mountains and grabbing lightning are neat tricks. But it's what it does to your spirit that's so fucking scary. It tickles a part of your brain that you don't use, the one that reminds you that you're still an animal. It tells you that the thing you're looking at is so beyond you that your only options are to surrender, or run away as fast and far as possible. And... well some folks can't adjust to the thought that your life depends on that things benevolence, or ignorance of your existence."
He finishes his drink and hisses.
"Argh. Shit! I hoped I'd never feel like this again!"

The quartet sit there under the heavy moonlight and down bottle after bottle in near complete silence. The only sound they hear is the breeze of the sea, and the turning of the gears in their heads. Each of them is deeply lost in thought but one of them is starting to go mad from this. The internal pressure builds, fueled by fear and alcohol until it starts boiling over.
"It was your fault. Wasn't it? Teacher..."

"Coby..."

“You knew about EVERYTHING! And just let it all happen! WHY?! Was it worth it? Was your reason, whatever it was worth all those lives? I hope it was! Because their blood is on your hands Teacher!”

SLAP

Coby stands there stunned as his cheek reddens.
“M-Mary…”
>>
“Get your act together. We’re all equally at fault. We were stupid when we could’ve stopped him. And by the time we wanted to act we were all too weak. I know you’re frustrated but don’t pin the blame on others.”

“It’s okay Mary. He’s right.”
Garp lowers his head in shame.
“The truth is that we could’ve prevented this. Many times. But we argued if it was right to put him down when he hasn’t done anything, or we put it off because he did something to redeem himself and give us hope that maybe things would turn out differently. But the harsh reality is… that we were afraid. How would you feel like if you sacrificed everything to seal the Devil away, and then see him strutting on the streets 40 years later? And to tell you the truth it was already over by the time he came to Marineford. I’ve seen it in his eyes. He was at the boiling point and he was ready to explode. I thought that maybe if I placated him he’d just leave. And… I’m ashamed to admit it but I wanted him to succeed. The execution three years ago is the biggest regret of my life.”

“So you wanted to… atone?”

“Atone? No. I wanted to be punished. For letting my son die.”
Garp takes up another bottle and hands one to Coby as well.

“Maybe Akainu was right all along…”

As the two continued to stew in their misery alongside Helmeppo who was just happy to be included, Mary got angrier.
“No. He wasn’t. And you shouldn’t just abandon the ideals you fought for so easily, Coby. You told me to not let my mistakes dictate my life, even though I made many. So I won’t let you break down because of one! Don’t let Silver poison your mind! Even if he proves Akainu and the absolutists right, that doesn’t mean you’re wrong. Now, how about you finish those and instead of moping we start figuring out what to do about all this?”

“I got a good idea! W-We all submit our resignations and find a nice little abandoned island somewhere in one of the blues and pray he doesn’t find us!”

“No Helmeppo. Mary is right. We can’t just give up! It’s not like our objective changed. It just got harder. Any suggestions Mary?”

“Yeah. Instead of sitting on our asses we can start training so we can weather the storm. That’s a good start.”

“TRAIN? Have you lost your MIND woman? You’ve seen what those monsters were doing! Right? THEY SPLIT THE SEA AND HEAVEN! How do you think lifting rocks will help us fight that?!”

“Listen buckethead, if I learned something in CP-0 it’s that there is always some next level of forbidden bullshit the bigwigs don’t want us to know about, some new echelon of power. Just look at what the Straw Hats did. In three years they went from impressive rookies to pirates that barely encountered difficulties in the New World. We just need to find a training from hell.”
>>
“I like the way this one thinks.”
A new voice chimes in.

“Who’s there?”

“Me.”
Tashigi waddles out of the shadows.

“M-Miss Tashigi? Shouldn’t you still be in bed?!”

“That’s Captain Tashigi for you, Captain Coby. And mind your own fucking business. Anyway, I like your idea girl. Got room for one more?”

“Of course.”

“Good. Then count me in. I even know of a good place. Ever heard of Impel Down?”

The marines cry out in pain as they strike you.

Do they still not get it? Before the start of this war, Silver had only killed Celestial Dragons, their tools, slavers and people who personally crossed him or his crew. He never went out of his way to antagonize or harass people for no reason, much less kill them. He thought the Marines were silly hypocrites who were either old and bitter or young and stupid so he didn't take them seriously.

Then they kidnap and plan to kill his mom and then go "oh isn't it such a shame we couldn't prevent his rampage?". BRUH DON'T KIDNAP HIS MOM THEN. Now you went from entertaining clowns to an annoying pest that requires extermination.

tl;dr This was all self inflicted. Your worst premonitions came about due to your own actions.

The marines started the fire, now they gotta watch it burn.
>>
>>5625999
This is so unfair its not even funny. I don't like the marines but let's see here.
You have: an incredibly aggressive, expansionist warlord who you have tried to simply leave alone (Outer heaven and marines even going on semi legal leave there) but took the opportunity from that respite to *kill Big Mom and conquer her empire* and then announced that he wad also gunning for the Kings of the underworld, their money and resources.

So, you being a marine. Do you try to stop him now, or do you wait until he has vastly more resources, power, armies and weaponry?

Please stop it with how Silver is an innocent little lad who dindu nuffin'. What they knew is that Silver hits back when attacked and now is much better then in five years. So they took the best chance they had.
>>
>>5626831
He didn't attack THEM

They poked their nose in his business, and some tried to sink Out heaven thinking it was an insult.

So what if we kill off the Underworld? They don't own it.

They pissed us off with this move.
>>
>>5626831
> You have: an incredibly aggressive, expansionist warlord who you have tried to simply leave alone (Outer heaven and marines even going on semi legal leave there) but took the opportunity from that respite to *kill Big Mom and conquer her empire* and then announced that he wad also gunning for the Kings of the underworld, their money and resources.
And? He took out a Yonko and is gunning for the underworld therefore we should kill him?

> So, you being a marine. Do you try to stop him now, or do you wait until he has vastly more resources, power, armies and weaponry?
So it's all about maintaining power then? I wouldn't be shitting on the marines if that was their problem with Silver. What I have a problem with is them thinking they're the righteous heroes who have a duty to stop the genocidal monster Silver. It's the lack of self awareness not the pursuit of power.

> Please stop it with how Silver is an innocent little lad who dindu nuffin'. What they knew is that Silver hits back when attacked and now is much better then in five years. So they took the best chance they had.
Nowhere did I say that Silver dindu nuffin. My point was that he was not unreasonable or malevolent, that's it. If the Marines didn't hurt his crew, he would never have attacked them. That's why I said the marines cry out in pain as they strike you. They picked this fight purely to remove a threat to their own power and when they lose they want to cry about it? You made your bed and now complain when you have to lay on it?
>>
The main difference between Blackbeard and Silver is that Silver is not malicious by itself.

If you leave him alone, he leaves you alone.

What they have in common though, is if you piss him off, he can easily ruin your day.

The marines poked a sleeping bear, and now its awake and pissed off.
>>
>>5626870
>And? He took out a Yonko and is gunning for the underworld therefore we should kill him?
Yes. That is how global hegemony and the general "Staying in power" thing works. Yes. Kill him *before* he becomes unstoppable. The marines issue is that they like to look at and think in terms of conventional power and capability and not bullshit.

>So it's all about maintaining power then?
Yes, that is the marines job. Their entire purpose.

>If the Marines didn't hurt his crew, he would never have attacked them
In order, if memory serves: our devil fruit, Daunty, the treasure ship, Enies Lobby, the entire Saobaody thing, *burning Mariejois*, building Outer Heaven. The entire Big Mom thing... Silver is not a passive actor. He will do shit, a lot of shit, the moment you turn your head to look at something else.
"But if the Marines just left the dangerous pirate alone" has about the same ring to as "You chose to be a pirate, these are the consequences" Let us be perfectly honest here: In the back and forth that's been going on since at the very least we arrived in paradise we struck all of the first blows, and they slowly react to our circus rioting across the seas.

Silver is unreasonable, entirely so. That's half the beauty of the character. He gives himself the right to do anything he wants, kill or burn anything or anyone he wants and if you try to step between him and whatever he fancies you will be brutally struck down. And then he will claim that the world is insane for not embracing his brand of anarcho-darwinism.

We picked this fight. And Eliza picked it before us.
So yea, the common men and women of the marines are very much allowed to wonder why in all the hells people like us exist, utterly fail to understand why we do what we do, and that we have to be stopped.
>>
>>5627963
Ok. I already said that's not my issue with the marines. There's nothing inherently wrong with playing the game of power. What is wrong is the whining and bitching when you lose.

Also never have I said that Silver is reactive and that he doesn't do anything. Maybe I should've been more clear but Silver had a different standard with the marines. Like the revolutionaries, he doesn't or didn't take them seriously so he doesn't go out of his way to fuck with them unlike other pirates. I also consider the Marines to be separate from the CD's and CP9 and CP0 so, by those metrics, that takes out everything Silver did in that list except the initial taking of Daunty.

> Silver is unreasonable, entirely so.
Not. At. All. Multiple times it has been said that, from an outsider's perspective with limited information and unreliable sources, Silver seems absolutely insane but anyone that knows him could tell you that he's a reasonable and good-natured guy. He's ambitious, extremely dangerous, powerful and vengeful but he's not malevolent or irrational.

> We picked this fight. And Eliza picked it before us.
I can't say for Eliza but no we did not. Gaining more power while not attacking them isn't picking a fight. We joined the board, got quite strong and the Marines picked a fight out of fear that we would win the game. And that's fine if that was all they did. But to claim that they're fighting for any sort of noble or righteous cause against the villainous force of Silver is what bothers me. No self awareness.
>>
>>5627993
They are willing to Genocide anyone who threatens their power and claim they were the monsters.

They are just a white image with maggots crawling out of the surface if you look hard enough.

The only reason they protect people is for PR and profit.
