With the defeat of Majin Buu and the Remnants at the Battle of Namek, peace has come to the Seventh Universe. With no imminent battles to fight or wars to wage, the Saiyans have enjoyed their first long-term peace since their ancestors first landed on Planet Vegeta all those years ago. Yet this peacetime hasn't slowed the progress of the warrior race known as the Saiyans, whose power have continued to grow day after day. Foremost among this warrior race is the Fateless man known as the “Dragon of New Salda” and the first Super Saiyan to have appeared in a thousand years.

You the players play as this warrior named Karn in the year Age 756, a man who has grown from a brawler with a powerlevel less than three thousand to now being the strongest of his kind, wielding the ancient emerald power of the Berserker and father of nearly a dozen children with his wife Meloka. After mastering the Yardratian ability known as Spirit Control, your power has grown beyond all previous limits.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

Mechikabura recruited Karn to recover one of his stolen Dark Dragon Balls, Karn besting Merged Zamasu before aiding cell in defeating a Janemba-absorbed Majin. Later, four months after his granddaughter's birthday, Karn discovered and battled Leyas and Sarada in their new Primal Demon forms. After withstanding their initial use of the form he trained with them every day for months until Cooler arrived, showing off that he too now has unlocked the Golden form. Later, Karn then finds Ubo on his people's homeworld stripped of his powers, taking him to the other Kryptonian as their planet is under siege by the extra-dimensional deity Darkseid. And as we rejoin Karn, Freeza has just transformed, staring down the dark god.

“So, my cousin was right and that you truly are a deity. Or, at the very least are someone able to completely mask their presence.” Freeza says, smirking at the so-called god floating above you all as he rises in the air, staring the powerful creature eye-to-eye. “Because I am a generous ruler, I'll give you one chance: grovel and beg for mercy at my feet, and I shall spare your life.”

“Foolish mortal. I will make you beg for death.” Darkseid counters, his crimson eyes glowing even brighter. You know what's about to happen, but just as you're about to call out in warning Freeza fires his own beams. Their Eye Beams slam into each other with a blinding flash of light, Freeza seemingly matching Darkseid's strength. The two titans of power push back against each other for several seconds, when suddenly you hear something whistling. Turning as the sound draws closer you see a metal something flying towards Darkseid, who catches the weapon in his left hand as it is about to strike him in the temple. “Foolish. You're no-”

“GAH!?” Darkseid exclaims as the spiked metal half-moon explodes in his hand, knocking his head aside and breaking his focus. Freeza's Eye Beams slam into the side of Darkseid's head, burning a pair of holes in the half second his attack maintains contact. But then he ends the attack, turning towards the Batman who'd thrown it.
“While I appreciate your concern for my safety, I will need all of you lesser beings to stand down and stay out of my way.” Freeza says, leaving no question as to his intent. “I shall defeat him.”

Well? What now?
>Stand back and just watch, you believe that Freeza can win this one completely on his own

“Everyone get back! Give Lord Freeza room to work!” you call out, leaping back away from the emperor. Everyone sees you backing away from the fight and immediately moves back, you seeing worry on several faces. But one man seems less concerned with the imminent battle than what's already going down, running over to you.
“Will stopping Darkseid stop the invasion?” he asks you, to which you shake your head.
“No, that's not even the real Darkseid, just some sort of avatar he's projecting into our realm.” you tell him, Batman's expression darkening. “But while Freeza fights, we need to stop the rest of this invasion. The more of these monsters we take down here, the less damage they can do.”

KABOOM

“Agreed. We cannot let these monsters roam unchecked.” the warrior woman says, immediately lifting up into the air and bisecting one of the creatures as Freeza and Darkseid begin trading blows. “Justice League! Protect the people!”
“How do we stop Darkseid for good?” Batman asks, looking for a way out of this situation. “Won't your instant kill technique work on him?”
“I tried it when we fought. It destroyed his avatar, but didn't affect the real him.” you say, shaking your head. “Wherever he is, he's basically untouchable.”
“Hrmmm.” he murmurs, then draws three of his bladed weapons from his belt and turns, throwing them at a pair of monsters flying down at the two of you. His blades strike them and explode, taking down the creatures. “So, how do we stop these portals?”

“I believe that I can do that.” Arctus replies, he and your son flying over. You then notice that he's holding one of the boxes, which Batman clearly recognizes. “I found this on a world he never invaded. While the tech is like nothing I've ever seen, I've managed to break into this box and wire it up to reverse their portals. But, there's one problem. My signal isn't strong enough.”
“So, we just have to amplify the signal?” Batman asks, Arctus shaking his head.
“No, we need to stop those towers from dampening my signal.” he replies, gesturing to one of the towers. “We knock enough of them down, I can send these monsters back to the hellhole they crawled out of.”

“Sounds like a plan.” a red blur says as it comes to a stop, you recognizing the man known as Flash. “I'll spread the word Bats.”
“Go.” Batman replies, Flash blurring away. You turn to watch him go, but as you turn back to ask the Batman another question, he's already gone. You didn't even sense him leave, how the hell did he do that?

“The hell?” you murmur, then shake it off and return your focus to what's going on. “Broly, take that one. I'll take this other one.”
“Right.” your son says, you both flaring your auras and leaping away. Your son takes off to one tower while you fly at the one out in the sea, hundreds of the flying monsters immediately sighting you. The creatures all start charging you, but you barely pay them any mind. They aren't strong enough to even scratch you in this form, you charging straight through the horde of flying creatures. They bounce off of you as you fly, your aura deflecting them away from you body until you come to a stop near the tower.

“HAAAAAA!!” you exclaim, firing off your Explosive Wave and obliterating dozens of the creatures in an instant. Clearing the path between you and the tower rising up and out of the sea. You draw your arm back, gathering your ki into your right hand, shaping it into your Energy Javelin. Then with a shout you launch the spear of ki forward, your attack slamming into the side of the tower and vanishing from sight. It takes a second or two, then your attack explodes! The entire middle section of the tower where you'd fired your attack is blown to smithereens, the rest crashing down onto the base before falling into the sea. A moment later you hear another explosion, turning to see that Broly's downed his tower as well. “Not bad son.”

“KYAAAAAA!!” Freeza shouts as he's sent flying, your jaw dropping as the emperor is sent flying past you.
“What the-?!” you exclaim, then are blown back as Darkseid surges past you. The force of his charge knocks you backwards, sending you tumbling head over heels. “Woah!”

It takes you a second to reorient yourself, you then turning to see Darkseid and Freeza fighting. You've never seen Golden Freeza moving so fast, you barely able to track his fists, but even at this speed it seems that Darkseid can more than keep up with him. In fact, as you watch, Darkseid seems to not only be blocking each of Freeza's strikes, but firing retaliatory strikes that your friend can't wholly manage to block or dodge. He's actually being pushed back!

“SHYAAAA!!” Freeza roars, his and Darkseid's right fists slamming into each others. The shock wave from the impact knocks him back, but Darkseid remains where he was before the wave hits you, knocking you head over heels again. Just how strong IS this Darkseid?

“Dammit.” you mutter as you reorient yourself, then turn as you see another tower fall. From that direction you sense Arctus, no doubt also trying to get his plan to work. But you can't help but look back up to Freeza, watching him again losing ground to the monster above him.

Well? What do you do?

As much as you want to help him out, you know that, as you are now, Freeza and Darkseid are fighting at a level well above you. You'd only get in the way. So, instead of becoming a liability for Freeza you turn around to find the next-nearest tower. You then blast off, flying through the air towards the next tower. It only takes you a few seconds, flying past the warrior woman as she wraps her golden lasso around a group of monsters, pulling them out of the air and dropping them towards the man in the green suit, who creates an energy construct of a hammer and slams them all down into the ground. But as you approach the next tower, you suddenly get an idea. Instead of simply destroying it, you're going to use this tower to make your work a little easier.

So you drop down out of the air down by the tower's base in the water at the portal, focusing your ki behind your eyes. With a thought you fire your Eye Beams, cutting through the base of the tower as you turn your head. In a couple seconds you've cut entirely through the base, the tower starting to lean as its no longer connected to anything. With a kick off the sea floor you launch yourself up into the air, grabbing the tower near the middle and lifting it overhead. Holding the large tower, you then turn towards the next nearest tower, drawing your right arm back as if throwing your Energy Javelin. But instead of firing a lance of energy, you pitch a massive metal structure at another. The giant tower slams perpendicularly into the other, striking something inside that causes both to suddenly explode.

KABOOM

The two structures are completely consumed by the blast along with another couple hundred of the monsters flying around it, you hearing several cheers going up from the gathered warriors defending this planet. You turn towards your son, seeing another tower crumbling when Arctus suddenly reaches out to you.

“That did it, I can now get through!” he replies excitedly, but after several seconds nothing happens. “Dammit!”
“What's wrong?” you ask, absently firing a Death Slash through a couple dozen monsters trying to attack you for what you'd done.
“I don't have the power to activate it.” he replies, you smirking as you raise your right hand to your forehead. You can fix that. “I need a huge boost of- Ah, there you are.”
“Power, right?” you ask him, lowering your hand from your forehead as you appear before him, laying a hand on the box. “I think I can help with that.”

You focus on the box attached to Arctus's wrist computer, letting your aura blaze as you start channeling your emerald ki into the box. It drinks your ki in just like the Soulstone does, you pouring more and more into it. But as your energy starts flooding into the box, the red gem-seeming object in the middle of it starts to glow, first with a faint red light then a bright white light. You hear rather than see Arctus typing something on his wrist computer, then you can feel it. Suddenly, across the planet you sense ki in places that make no sense for them to, you realizing that it must have worked. Looking up, sure enough you see a portal overhead, dozens of the monsters getting sucked in.

“Ha, that's it!” Arctus exclaims, jumping in place. “We did i-!”

KABOOOOM

But right as he starts celebrating there's a massive impact beside you both, a cloud of dust blowing over you both, blinding you.

“Fuck!” Arctus shouts as he's knocked from his feet, you sensing him get blown back by the impact. You barely manage to keep your feet under you, your feet digging twin trenches through the road for a dozen or so yards before stopping. And as you stop the dust clears, showing Freeza pinned to the ground by Darkseid.
“Die.” Darkseid shouts, raising both fists overhead as they start glowing orange then blinding white.
“Shit! FREEZA!” you shout, and without thinking throw yourself at Darkseid. With his arms up he leaves his face wide open, your left fist slams into his jaw. Catching him by complete surprise, your heavy fist staggers him a step back. But, more importantly, he loses focus on that powerful attack.

“Insolent!” Darkseid snarls as you focus, reactivating your Energy Body as he catches his balance. Then, before you can get back or attack again he swings, slamming his right fist into you in a powerful backhand. You don't even see the attack coming before his fist slams into your head and chest, sending you flying backwards to crash into something metal that gives when you crash into it. However, thanks to your Energy Body, he doesn't knock your head off. Some of his attack's power bleeds through your energy, nearly knocking the wind out of you. “If you wished to die first, Saiyan, all you had to do was speak up. I would be more than happy to send you to your doom.”

But, just as his eyes start to glow, so too does a symbol on his belt. And, right behind him, another of those portals opens up behind him.

“Freeza!” you shout, flying up to him and sliding to a stop beside the emperor. “Let's do it!”
“Ha! Very well.” he replies, golden aura blazing. “SHYAAAAA!!”
“HRRRAAAAAAA!!” you roar, both of you throwing both hands out and firing your ki. Gold and emerald energy spiral together into a powerful beam, slamming square into Darkseid's chest. And its working! Your combined power pushes him right back to the edge of the portal, tripping backwards over the edge as it hits him in the back of his shins.
“Gurrrr!” Darkseid exclaims, falling backwards into the portal. You did it! But, just as he's falling in, you see out from the side of your beam that he reaches out, catching the edge of the portal.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2gElxBGwjc

“What?!” you and Freeza exclaim as his backwards momentum is completely stopped, the giant holding himself upright against your combined beam. Then, to your surprise, he starts pulling himself back up and out of the portal.
“Impossible!” Freeza shouts, and despite both of you putting your full power into the attack, Darkseid is still able to rise back up and out, glaring at you both.
“Die.” he says simply, eyes blazing red before firing his twin destructive beams at the both of you.
“Dammit!” you shout, ending the beam and throwing your arms wide. Freeza stops his attack as well as you activate your Barrier around you both. His twin destructive beams crash into your shield with enough force to distort the Barrier's spherical shape, but your shield manages to hold. “Tch!”

CRACK

To your shock, where his beams are pressing your defense to its limits, you can see that your shield is actually breaking from the pressure! If you don't do something soon, your shield is going to fail!

“HAAAAAA!!” you roar, pouring even more energy into the Barrier, but it's no use. The cracks spread, pushing your Barrier to its absolute limit. “I-I can't hold it!”

Right as your Barrier was about to fail, suddenly Darkseid disappears as something drops down out of orbit directly atop the otherworldly being. His figure disappears in the sudden dust cloud, Darkseid's Eye Beams vanishing the instant your shield shatters. You drop down to all fours as soon as the pressure vanishes, leaving you gasping for air for several seconds. But you can't help but smirk, sensing the familiar ki: Ubo has recovered.

“Is this guy giving you two trouble?” Ubo asks, standing atop presumably Darkseid as he looks at the two of you as Superman flies down a second later. But then, from the ground fire a pair of energy beams up from the ground, then redirect themselves at Ubo's chest. Before he can react, the two beams crash into his chest, knocking him backwards into the portal.
“UBO!” you shout in shock, then gritting your teeth force yourself upright. Superman flies down, landing a single powerful right to the left side of Darkseid's jaw as he rises and staggers him a step as well. But as he follows up with a heavy left, Darkseid catches the Kryptonian's fist with his much larger hand. And before he can react, Darkseid slams his left into Superman's chest, sending him flying back past you and Freeza to crash into something behind you both.

“ENOUGH!” Darkseid bellows, again gathering his energy into his fists while raising them overhead. But, before he can swing them down, Ubo lunges forward out of the portal, grabbing Darkseid by the waist and lifting him overhead. “What?!”
“HRRAAAAAAAA!!” Ubo bellows, suplexing the monster and burying him waist-deep in the road. Your friend then leaps back towards you and Freeza, sliding to a stop beside you both. “Sorry I'm late, did I miss anything?”
“We have to shove him through that portal, then Arctus can close it behind him and lock him back in his own dimension.”

“Easy enough.” Superman says as he draws up to the other side of you and Freeza, Darkseid smashing his way back up and out of the ground.

“If we hit him all together, we can force him out.” you say, throwing your arms wide and immediately channeling your ki into both hands. “Hit him with everything you've got on three!”
“SHYAAAAA!!” Freeza shouts, golden aura blazing as he braces his right forearm with his left hand overhead before leveling his hand towards Darkseid. “One.”
“HRRMPH!!” Ubo exhales as his crimson aura blazes, ground shattering beneath him as he gathers his own ki. Superman's eyes start glowing red as Darkseid's does as well, no doubt preparing to try and counter your combined attack. “Two.”

“Three! FINAL FLASH!!” you roar, unleashing a powerful golden beam from your joined hands.
“HAAAAAAAAA!!” Freeza bellows, firing an even stronger beam.
“GRRRAAAAAA!!” Ubo bellows, unleashing twin crimson beams from his palms as Superman fires twin beams from his eyes. The four energy beams combine into one single, spiraling wave of destruction as Superman's Eye Beams crash into Darkseid's own. Slowing them before your combined beam crashes into them, driving the dark being's attack back into him.

“Guuuh!” Darkseid bellows as the beam crashes into him, and unlike before he's unable to resist it this time. “Gaaaaaaaah!!”

Your combined attack does it, forcing the monster back and through the portal. Your combined energy blasts him through, Freeza then calling to his cousin.

“Arctus! NOW!” Freeza bellows. But then, barely over the sounds of your beam, you barely hear him call out.
“I can't! I don't have enough power to close the portal!” you hear Arctus shout, gritting your teeth. You can't back off now, as you can feel that Darkseid has SOMEHOW stopped his backwards momentum despite all of your powers combined! If the portal isn't shut soon, this big bastard might force his way back through! But just then you sense it, your son's ki appearing up beside Arctus's. But right as you're about to turn your head aside to see, suddenly Darkseid's beams emerge from the portal. And they're streaking through the air directly for your son and Arctus!

“BROLY!!” you shout to his back, but know that he won't be able to react in time. Darkseid's attack is going to get them both!

But right as the beams are about to strike, the warriors of this planet come to your son's age. First, the warrior woman flies up and catches one of the beams on her silvered arm guards, actually stopping the one in its tracks. At the same time, a beam of emerald is fired up, forming a construct in the shape of a rounded shield, stopping the beam just short. They stop the monster's attacks short of your son, the warrior woman shouting something to Broly that you can't hear. But then your son's power blazes, pouring everything he's got into Arctus's box. And sure enough, as you turn back towards the portal Darkseid was knocked through, you see that it is in fact shrinking. He did it!

“A parting gift, for you.” Freeza says, ending his attack and creating a tiny pinpoint of energy in his palm, the orb absolutely overflowing with ki. You all end your attacks as well, Freeza flicking that tiny orb of energy towards the rapidly-closing portal. And right as the hole shuts, Freeza's world-breaking attack enters the portal, vanishing. “Try and conquer MY planet, will you? I hope you choke on it.”
“YOUR planet?” Superman asks, the Kryptonian clearly not recognizing Freeza from the mild amusement in his tone. “And what do you mean, parting gift?”
“That was a retaliatory strike.” Batman says, you not having sensed his ki until he spoke. How the hell does he DO that? “Wasn't it?”

“Ohohoho, we have a clever one. Yes, I did fire back on him. If he doesn't stop that little present I gave him, that attack will destroy his entire planet, or spaceship, or wherever he mounted the invasion from.” Freeza says, you seeing a look of shock across the Kryptonian's face. But Batman looks almost like he approves Freeza's actions, as far as you can tell from his cowled face. “No one tries to take one of MY planets and gets away with it.”

At this you see the Kryptonian's eyes narrow, clearly not liking how Freeza's talking. Seems the Kryptonian thinks that this planet is HIS to rule over.

But what do you do?
>Ask Arctus how he did all that, and if this will be able to stop any future incursions
>Introduce Lord Freeza to Superman before he tries anything stupid, after all King Cold and Ubo's powers both lie in the balance if things come to blows
>Freeza can handle himself, check in with Broly and thank him for his help with all this

You can taste the tension in the air, feeling that things might not turn out well for the Kryptonian if things come to blows. So you step forward between them with your back to Freeza and speak up.

“Superman, thanks for helping Ubo.” you say to him, then gesture to the emperor behind you. “Allow me to introduce you to my friend and the emperor of the universe, Lord Freeza. Lord Freeza, this is the other Kryptonian I told you about, Superman.”
“Superman? Well, I suppose to the inhabitants of this world, you must seem quite 'super' indeed.” Freeza says, his golden glow fading as he reverts back to his fourth form, offering the Kryptonian his hand. “Ubo has spoken quite highly of you.”
“Ah-” he exhales, unsure how to respond to the immediate diffusion of the tension. After a second he takes his hand, the two shaking. “You're the one who your General spoke of.”

“Yes, Karn and I go quite a ways back.” Freeza says, glancing over as Broly and Arctus land near you all, along with the two warriors from this planet who saved them from Darkseid's final attack. “Were it not for him, I might not be here.”
“Heh, we have that in common.” Superman says with a small smile, no doubt remembering that abomination that nearly killed him before you and Ubo showed up the first time. But as the warrior woman comes up, she addresses Freeza directly.
“Thank you, foreign emperor for your assistance in this battle.” she says, giving him a salute with her sword. “Most of the best rulers I have met were also some of the greatest combatants.”

“Certain rules are inevitable, no matter the time or place.” Freeza replies with a smile. “The strong rule, and the weak either submit to their rule or perish resisting.”
“So, I take it you're the strongest being in this universe then?” Batman asks him, but then adds. “Or, at least the strongest in the domain of your empire?”
“Yes, at least for now.” Freeza replies with a smile, reaching up and patting you on the forearm as you tower over him. “As long as a certain someone doesn't surpass me in the coming years, I will remain so.”

“Then I'm sure establishing mutual communication and diplomacy would be in order.” Batman says, surprising the woman and Kryptonian of his world. “Would that be you directly, or...?”
“Ohoho, I'll leave my cousin Arctus to this.” Freeza says, gesturing to Arctus as his cousin powers down as well, shrinking down a couple feet. He's still taller than his cousin, but no longer toweringly so. “But I have business I simply must return to. Until next time.”

Then he's simply gone, vanishing as if he never was. Surprisingly, he hadn't even put his hand to his forehead, showing that he's already mastered the Yardratian technique further than you'd have expected.

“I can see that your people have electricity and utilize radio waves for communication, which is good. For such a backwater planet with very limited outside contact, you all have attained a somewhat decent level of technology on your own.” Arctus tells him, seemingly surprising the Batman with how much of their planet's workings he knows. “With a few tweaks, I should be able to get your people hooked up to the Spacenet with a couple hours' of work. Although, you'll have to actually start paying for your Dreadzone connection, lest you want to get on Vox's bad side.”

Which shocks him even more, the man's jaw dropping a bit. To which Arctus laughs, patting him carefully on the shoulder as the two of them walk a short distance away while he continues talking, asking questions about the planet's infrastructure. Superman and the woman watch them for a moment before turning back to you. Who then offers his hand to you as well.

“Thank you for coming to our planet's aid as well, General Karn.” the woman extending her arm. “You fight quite courageously.”
“Thanks. And thanks for taking that hit for my son.” you reply, grabbing her by the forearm instead of the hand, in a more warrior-style shake. To which she smirks slightly, you both shaking once before she lets go. Then you turn to Superman, offering him your hand as well. “And thanks for helping Ubo.”
“Of course, anytime.” he replies, the two of you releasing each other. “Are you going to stick around a bit? Or do you have other business to attend to as well?”

Which is a good question. Well?

I'm tempted to offer to teach Batman a few techniques if he teaches us how he keeps dropping off our radar.
Scores of trained Lin Kuei assassins, Sangheili stealth operatives, and even Zeno Zoldyck couldn't pull that off.

“Hmmm.” you say, raising a hand to your chin as you reach out telepathically to Meloka. You tell her what's going on and what happened, quickly filling her in on how things have unfolded.
“Oh, alright. Are you headed back now, or...?” she asks.
“Not unless I'm needed, going to stay here a bit and make sure Darkseid is really gone for now.” you tell her, your wife wishing you luck. You then return your focus to the two defenders, speaking to them both. “I'll stick around to help out a bit, I have nothing too urgent going on back home.”

“I'm heading back now Dad.” Broly tells you, raising his hand to his forehead.
“You and Kori have fun.” you tell him, your son nodding before vanishing as well.
“Such a useful technique.” the warrior woman says to herself as your son disappears, then after a moment shakes her head, refocusing. “We should assess the damage caused by Darkseid's monsters.”
“Agreed.” Superman says, the three of you taking to the air. To your surprise, the damage is actually minimal. They don't even have to do much corpse removal, as when the portals were opened to recall the monsters, they dragged all of them back in. Even the ones crushed or bisected, leaving no trace of the invaders.

“The enemy cleaned up their own corpses for us. How considerate.” the woman says, but you see the Kryptonian's brows narrow. You aren't the only one who notices, the warrior frowning at him. “What?”
“They recalled their tech. Keeping us from being able to go after them.” he says, your eyes widening a bit in realization. Without Arctus's found box, the 'Mother Box' as he called it before, you wouldn't have any of their tech to show for it.

“Wait, maybe not.” you say, turning from the city to look back out at the sea. You don't see the tower immediately, so you launch yourself down into the water while the other two call out, but you ignore them and dive into the water. Looking around as your emerald aura illuminates the sea's depths, you find what you were looking for. There, in the bottom of the sea, is the top half of the first tower you'd destroyed. So you dash over, grabbing it in both hands then kick off the sea floor. You blitz back to the surface, emerging carrying the tower up in both hands. “Found it!”

“That's one of the towers.” the woman says as you set it on the dock, the two landing beside you looking at it. “But why wasn't it recalled with the rest?”
“I have no idea, but its yours.” you reply, taking your hands off of it. The Kryptonian notices how the metal'd bent where you'd grabbed it, but doesn't say anything. “I have no need for it.”

They accept the tower, returning to the air while you use your ki sense to help them locate civilians. With their powers so infinitesimally small, locating single individuals is difficult. Even with dropping to your base form, you still can barely feel any single one. Where more than a few are gathered you can sense them easier, but if you were to guess most of these beings' powerlevels wouldn't even measure in the double digits. But you try your best, knowing that if it were your own children trapped and helpless you'd want someone to save them as well. Which, as you lift a large slab of some sort of stone off of a small trapped group, you hear a child's scream of panic.

“Shhh, shhh, it's okay. You're safe now, it's over.” you say gently to the child, seeing a blood-soaked girl clutching a small stuffed pillow shaped like a creature, tears staining her face. You then shove the stone slab away, reaching down to the child with one hand without moving any closer. “Come on, let's get you out of there.”

She looks from your hand up to your face, but after a second reaches out tenatively with her free hand. Instead of grabbing her and possibly breaking such a weak being, you instead gently pull her to you with telekinesis. Holding to her like she's one of your own children, she starts sobbing uncontrollably, you holding out your other hand for the next person under the rubble. Another child, this one no older than Karn Jr stumbles out, covered in dust and blood. For a second you feel panic start bubbling up, but then realize it isn't this kid's either. Which is relief for only a second, your eyes widening in understanding. You take the second kid out as well, passing them to the redheaded woman with wings before turning back.

“Hey, I'm not a babysitter!” she tries to protest, but you give her a glare. Whatever she sees on your face silences her, you turning back to the rubble. You reach down, grabbing the next slab and start lifting, only for a man's voice to cry out in pain.
“GYAAAAAH!!” the man below cries, you stopping immediately. “Stop!”
“Dammit!” you seethe, lowering the slab back before trying to talk to the one under it. “Are you okay?”
“R-Rebar. Through my g-guts.” comes a man's pained voice. “I'm pinned to this slab. Please, forget me and get my kids out of here. I don't have long, and don't want them to see me die.”

Well? How do you react?

You feel helpless, unable to save him from dying. So you do the one thing you can do, call the one woman who can save him.

“Cauli, can you come here a bit?” you telepathically ask your daughter. “The people here could really use your help kiddo.”
“I'll be right there.” your daughter replies, a hint of urgency in her tone. It takes her a couple seconds to reply again, but when she does it isn't telepathically as she suddenly appears, wearing only a skintight upper and lower, covering the basics with her Stand by her side. “Sorry for the delay, how can I help?”
“Got one under here, pinned to this slab.” you tell her, grabbing onto it again. “Ready?”
“Ready.” she replies, nodding once.
“Hol-” the trapped man says, but you don't wait and immediately lift the slab. “GYAAAAH!”

Blood sprays as you lift the slab of wall, tearing the metal rods out of the poor man's body. He falls to the ground, blood spraying as they're torn from his form. Before he even hits the ground your daughter immediately rings her chime, golden light spreading from the artifact and enveloping the three of you. Before your eyes the man's injuries stitch themselves shut, restoring him to perfect health. But, after throwing the slab aside and helping him up, the man turns to you, eyes wide.

“Who.. I-I've never seen you before.” the man says, looking from you to your daughter in confusion. But right as he's about to ask who you and Caulifla are, his kids both shout out.
“DADDY!!” they shout, you all turning and watching as the two children sprint for their father. He kneels down, arms wide and hugs both of his crying children. His own eyes aren't dry, you understanding how he feels. But as you turn to leave him and his kids, you see Caulifla looking not to them. But to the hole you'd pulled him out of, and the slab that'd landed on him.

“What is it?” you ask her, Cauli blinking and shaking her head to focus before turning back to you.
“He shielded them.” your daughter says telepathically, gesturing to the hole. And from how it looks, he COULD have avoided having that one collapse on him. But there wasn't enough room for himself and his kids, he had to make a choice who he would save. And you can't agree with his probable split-second decision more. You would do the same for your own children, without hesitation.

That makes me wonder, that whole soul thing Cell had did with his aura from eating those people (was that anime only? I can't remember), if someone could see all the souls someone had killed and they looked at Karn or any of the Cold family, how quickly would they burst a blood vessel from sensory overload?
>>
>>5701144
>For a moment, she could almost see the difference between your kill counts in your eyes.
I'd expect nothing less from another soldier. On that note, where's Thanagar relative to the PTO's current borders? I'm fairly certain there's still plenty of interesting events occurring in that section of space right now.
>>
>>5701147
I'm fairly certain Chilli did that in a hypothetical future and got a mental image of Warrior God Karn sitting on top of an impossibly large pile of corpses.
>>
>>5701147
Yes, very much so.
If someone who wasn’t familiar with Karn could see that, and that was their first exposure, would probably leave quite a lasting mark on their psyche.
>>5701148
In the northern quadrant near the outskirts, quite outside the PTO’s current, networked reach. And yes, there’s always something going on. Having then witness Earth’s new claimant going toe-to-toe against Darkseid even has… Let’s say put certain plans on hold.
>>5701149
Yes, but the soulgaze showed more than just that. It also showed who Karn is, for who he stacked that mountain to protect.

Not what I meant, I was talking about Karn's approval of these old fashion family values on which we used to rely.

>Now now, you haven’t actually BEEN to that planet so you don’t know for certain.
but I do know that unlike Kaguya, he has no hax of his own and had to work his ass off for the slightest W. I think that without Goku around he would've been killed by King Piccolo and his goons, if not sooner.

This, the oc dragonball goon dies due to shit 4chan dice. Very quickly.

>>

Nah, Dragon Ball Quest was great. Tofoo was a pretty sweet character who grew up with Goku since they were kids. He was basically a competent Krillin.

We did cool shit like kill Vegeta when he came to earth, and brought Yamcha with us into space. Oh, and we tried to make Appule a regular cast member.

With Caulifla by your side, you continue your efforts rescuing the injured civilians who were hurt in the battle, but fortunately, or unfortunately most don't need her help. As they either were barely injured, or wholly killed by either falling debris or by one of the monsters. She helps where she can, but after a short while you and her have done what you can, leaving the planet's defenders to handle the rest. Returning back to your own world, things quickly go back to normal. Days turn to weeks, your focus on training redoubled after seeing just how much stronger than you Freeza still is. But then, one day while training your students you sense something odd. Your son, Chilli returned to New Salda. But he doesn't appear by you, or your wife, or any of his siblings. Instead, he, Megumin and their daughter Meloka Wolbach appear by Dr. White.

“Huh.” you mutter, glancing in that direction as you spar with your largest student, Goar. He's powered up to the maximum, swinging his giant fists like wrecking balls as you defend yourself, having been coaching him through how to use the more powerful Djem So strikes with his build to break even powerful opponents. As your attention is diverted Goar swings for your head, but he's no longer the near-mindless brute he once was, stopping his punch short as he sees that you're focused on something else.
“Everything okay?” he asks, knowing your home is in the direction you're looking. To which you shake your head, turning your attention back to him.

“Sorry, yeah. I think so.” you reply, wondering what he'd be doing there. But then you remember, as he'd been training on Yardrat under Elder Pybara Megumin's belly had been noticeably growing, and before he'd left you'd been able to sense the new life growing within her. Has it really been long enough for her to give birth already? But as you and Goar resume sparring, you can't help but wonder if everything's alright?

Well?
>Telepathically reach out to Chilli, ask if everything's alright or if something's going wrong
>Telepathically reach out to Megumin, ask if she and the baby are okay

“Alright, back to it.” you tell him, while focusing your telepathy to reach out to your son. “Chilli, is everything alright? Or has something gone wrong?”
“Dad? No, everything's fine.” he replies as you and Goar get back to your sparring, you blocking and allowing Goar to use the Djem So's guard-breaking attacks against you. “It's about time, she's starting.”

“Starting...?” you wonder to yourself, then feel your eyes widen as realization dawns. Goar hits you with an uppercut, right fist connecting at where your arms are crossed and breaking your guard wide open. You stagger back a step, returning to your crossed guard as Goar fires off a left hook, fist slamming into your right elbow and forcing your arms aside. You grit your teeth, planting your feet back and returning to your guarded stance as Goar continues attacking, the man's a natural with his size and raw strength. But as heavy blow after heavy blow lands on your guard, realization suddenly dawns!

“You mean Megumin's giving birth?” you ask your son, who you can feel smiling through the mental link.
“That's right, she's with Dr. White now.” he answers you hopefully, but you feel a bit of worry he's trying to hide in the link. “Everything should be fine.”
“Well, if everything's good, we'll come by after I finish training the students.” you reply to him. “Not long left.”
“I'll be waiting. A certain someone's really looking forward to seeing her Grandpa again.” he replies, the two of you ending the connection. With that taken care of, you're able to focus properly on your sparring, instructing Goar as he swings for the last few minutes. Then, once its over you gather your family, telling them the news.

“Really?” Kayle asks, eyes sparkling in excitement. “I'm gonna be an aunt again?”
“You're already an aunt.” Maz replies, the two immediately start swinging at each other childishly. Caulifla stops them by grabbing each by the back of their armor and lifting them up.

“Come on, let's go see your brother.” you tell them all, everyone taking to the air and flying back home. You lead your family back home, touching down outside the ship and heading inwards. You and your family all walk to the medical bay, but as you approach the door something odd happens: the door doesn't automatically open. “What?”

Well? What now?

For a moment you feel your worry grow, your mind imagining terrible things that could have gone wrong for the couple as you and Meloka have dealt with. But you reach up, knocking gently on the door while calling out to your son on the other side.

“Chilli? Is everything alright, what's going on?” you ask, then sense him moving about the room. He moves over to his daughter's side, who is by a somewhat unfamiliar ki in what you assume to be one of the ship's healing pods before he walks to the door, opening it. There, before you is your son holding his now over two and a half year old daughter, carrying a tension in him you haven't seen in years. He looks on edge, nervous, but that melts away as his daughter shouts.

“GRANDPA!!” she yells, launching herself from her father's arms into your own. Catching your granddaughter you hold her close to you, her mouth going a mile a minute as she hits you. “Today's the day! I'm gonna be a big sister, I can't wait! I wonder if its gonna be a boy or a girl?”
“Wait, you don't know the gender yet?” Meloka asks, looking from her to Chilli with her brows furrowed.
“No, we both wanted it to be a surprise.” Chilli replies to her, smiling at your wife's confusion. “So when our child comes into the world, we'll find out together.”
“That is a rather interesting outlook.” Kori says, the Tamaranean princess hanging off Broly's right arm. “Well then, I shall be eager to see as well.”

“Can we go in, or is this a delicate moment?” you ask your son, ruffling Meloka Wolbach's hair as she giggles. To which your son looks back over his shoulder a moment, then replies.
“She said it's okay, she's covered.” Chilli replies, moving out of the doorway and back to his wife's side. Dr. White is by her side, pulling the covering to preserve her modesty down a little further. Your wife goes over to Megumin's side with her son, you still holding your granddaughter as you walk curiously over to the healing pods. Inside is a woman you don't recognize right away, wondering for a moment who that could be before returning your gaze to your family.

“Can stay in here and visit for a few minutes, but then everyone must get out.” Dr. White tells you all. “She's about to start giving birth, and will need this room as peaceful and quiet as can be.”
“I'm peaceful and quiet.” Okira says, but you don't think anyone else hears your daughter over several complaints. But Dr. White isn't having it, telling your younger twins off as you go to your youngest daughter, scooping her up as well.

“You're really quiet kiddo, but I think its for the best.” you tell her, Okira nodding once in understanding. Deciding to lead the way you take your daughter and granddaughter to the door, standing by it as Dr. White finishes the preparations. Then, once its time, he tells everyone else to leave again. Keeping only Meloka, Caulifla, and Chilli in the room. You take everyone else to the hallway outside, promising everyone that they can go and you'll telepathically call them all back once their new niece or nephew is born. The younger twins run off as well as Karn Jr, Okira wanting to go as well so you let her go. But your granddaughter doesn't want put down, you holding onto her still as the older twins say they have something to take care of, teleporting away.

“Should we wait here as well?” Kori asks Broly, who shakes his head and whispers something to her, the two heading off out towards the city for some reason. But you stay there in the hall, waiting. At least, until the screaming starts.

“Momma?” Meloka Wolbach starts, looking to the door worriedly. “Grandpa, she's in trouble! We gotta help her!”
“No, she's okay. But, giving birth can be painful.” you tell your granddaughter, standing back up and planning to move her away from the door so she doesn't hear her mother's screams.

But where do you take her?

You ponder over where to take her for a moment, but then hit on an idea. You reach out to King Vegeta, sensing that he and his son are together, along with several far weaker powerlevels, perhaps Saibamen? Perfect.

“Hey, King Vegeta. Do you have a minute?” you ask him telepathically. To which your first student responds almost immediately.
“Karn, what's going on?” he replies. “Is it serious?”
“No no, nothing serious. Chilli's wife is giving birth again, and I've got my granddaughter with me.” you tell him. “So, I was wondering if your son and her might get along?”
“I think that's an excellent idea. She's what, two? Three?” he replies, you confirming two. “My son is now four, but I think that they'll be fine.”
“Great. I'll be there in a few.” you reply to him, ending the mental link then looking to your granddaughter. “Hey, I know. How about I take you to meet the king and prince?”

“A king?” she asks, eyes going wide. “There's a king here?”
“Yes, King Vegata IV. He was my first student.” you tell her, ruffling her hair. “Want to go meet him?”
“Yeah!” she exclaims, pumping her fists in excitement. “Let's go see a king!”
“Alright, hold on tight.” you tell her, switching her to your left arm, bringing your right hand to your forehead. Focusing on your friend's ki, you teleport directly over to King Vegeta after a second. You leave your home behind, appearing in a room within the palace you haven't seen before. It seems to be a training room, King Vegeta watching as his son stands in the middle. Five Saibamen leap at him from different angles, each rushing him with claws out, ready to attack. The young prince raises his head, then with a shout throws his arms wide.

“HAAAAAAA!!” the young prince bellows as he fires off an Explosive Wave, blasting the five Saibamen back and away from him. Four of them crash into the walls, the fifth flying at you and your granddaughter.
“WAAAAAH!” she shouts in a panic, you lowering your right hand and catching the creature by its head before it could hit you. However, as you catch the damaged Saibaman, its neck snaps as you stop it in your hand. Upon hearing your daughter's shouts Prince Vegeta V turns, seeing you and your granddaughter there.

“Wh-General Karn? What are you doing here?” the young prince asks, looking surprised at you. But then you see him notice your granddaughter, his jaw dropping as his cheeks redden a bit. “H-Hello there. Who are you?”

But your granddaughter, instead of talking buries her face in your shoulder. You see her ear glowing crimson, and can't help but smile. Seems that your granddaughter is a little bit shy.

“Afternoon, your highness. King Vegeta.” you say, dropping to a knee and setting your granddaughter down. Who immediately tries to cling onto you, not wanting to be let go and face him. “My granddaughter here wanted to meet you and your father.”
“Grandpaaaaa!” she says into your knee, you trying your best to hold in your laugh as Prince Vegeta V looks curiously at your granddaughter, head tilting in confusion.
“Come on, say hello and be polite.” you say, gently encouraging your son's daughter. “He won't bite.”

“I-I'm scared.” she whispers, clearly loud enough for the other two Saiyans present to hear her. “Wh-What if he doesn't like me?”
“Then we can leave.” you tell her, putting your hands on her tiny shoulders. “But you won't know until you talk to him, right?”
“Uhh, well...” she says, trying to find any counter argument. But, unable to think of something she takes a deep breath, then another before turning around. She seems nervous while grabbing the hem of her dress, one that looks like a tiny version of her mother's as she mutters to her feet, putting her left behind her right before bending her knees, holding her dress out a bit from herself. “H-Hello. M-M-My name is Meloka W-Wolbach, daughter of Crystal Sage Chilli and Explosion Master Megumin! First half-Saiyan of the Crimson Demons!”

To your surprise she grows more confident as she introduces herself, the young prince's eyes widening in surprise and even taking an unconscious step back away as your granddaughter changes from the gesture somewhat like a bow to standing tall, the backs of her hands to her forehead as she speaks boldly.

“Oh, and I'm a big sister today too! Gotta add that now.” she adds, standing there waiting for the prince to introduce himself in the same, odd manner the Crimson Demons do.
“H-Hello. I am Prince Vegeta the fifth, son of King Vegeta.” the young prince replies somewhat nervously, then offers her his hand out to her after a sideways glance to his father. “Nice to meet you.”

She looks at his hand, then to you with a confused look on her face. Almost as if asking for your help, or maybe permission?

Well? What do you do?

As your granddaughter looks to you, you don't have any words to say. So, instead you simply give her a nod while raising your right hand by your side into a thumbs up. She's had to be careful, with the other kids of the Crimson Demon village as she's strong enough to accidentally break them in two, but with someone like Vegeta's son, she won't have that particular answer. Seeing your nod she smiles, turning back to the young boy and taking his arm in her hand. As the two clasp hands, you can almost feel her surprise as she doesn't break him, and instead he's actually seemingly stronger than her.

“Woah! You're actually strong!” she exclaims innocently, to which the young prince smirks.
“Of course I'm strong. You can't be a ruler if you aren't strong.” he replies, and starts trying to push her arm down as if arm wrestling. Without the table. To which your granddaughter gasps, then you can hear her grit her teeth after wincing.
“I'm strong too! Just watch!” she exclaims, shoving back against him. And to his surprise she's able to push his arm back upright, but then the two children are deadlocked as they push. You can hear both letting out grunts of effort, the young prince's snarl as he grits his teeth reminding you of that one time in your youth when you'd seen the current king's father angry, snarling as he'd destroyed a Tuffle ship that'd fired on his village. “I'm! Not! Gonna! LOSE!!”

And as your granddaughter shouts, her aura suddenly blazes up golden around her, hair spiking as she takes on her transformed state. Then, as Prince Vegeta V's jaw drops in astonishment, she wins the little arm wrestling exchange by flipping the young prince, sending him crashing into the wall between two of the Saibamen he'd dispatched. She stands there proudly, aura blazing golden as the young man lays slumped against the wall dazed, then after a moment shaking his head, using the wall to help him regain his feet. Then, turning to see your daughter still standing there, he smiles.

“Looks like I underestimated you, I hadn't expected you to be a Super Sai...” he starts, then no doubt notices her eyes are still crimson. “Y-Your eyes.”
“Huh?” What's wrong with my eyes?” Meloka Wolbach asks, suddenly very self conscious.
“No-Nothing's wrong. It's just, they look.... Beautiful. I've never seen red eyes before.” the young prince replies, you seeing your daughter's cheeks and ears suddenly turn scarlet as she blushes, unsure how to react. You can't help but smile, seeing how innocent these two children are as they stare at each other and swear once more that you'll do whatever it takes, fight whatever gods or monsters or people you must to keep your people safe and happy, to give all Saiyan children like them the life you couldn't have growing up.

Honestly all things considered it went about as well as i thiught it would, and the JL took frieza being a thing far better then i expected.

What is Batman thinking as he compiles a list of revealed information on Earth's new landlords? What's he think about the Drunk Savant? Has Hawkgirl lost her bitchmode long enough to chat with her friends about how fucking scary Karn is? How many people see us talk about how cool that dad was for protecting his kids?
>>
>>5701612
he will probably get more of an idea how scary a pissed off karn is, also the interesting fact that we are on the GL's shitlist and that fortunately karn isn't easy to make come after you.
>>
>>5701609
Getting to write kids being adorable is good for the soul.
>>5701610
To be fair, they did have time to prepare. Although Flash will tell Superman how fast Freeza and Darkseid were, as no one else could see the fight how he could.
>>5701612
Worried, but not overly so. Freeza immediately jetting away while Karn stated to help gave him insight into how the empire’s run(militarily), as well as how much autonomy Freeza grants his general. Makes him think the emperor is a more hands-off leader, only showing up when needed.
>Hawkgirl
Hoo boy, GL knows. He could see how shook she was and eventually got it out of her.
>How many people see us talk about how cool that dad was for protecting his kids?
Not many. But Batman sure as hell did, Superman and Supergirl as well.
>>
>>5701619
>Not many. But Batman sure as hell did, Superman and Supergirl as well.
So they're aware that Karn's a father first, General second then?
>>
>>5701619
>Worried, but not overly so. Freeza immediately jetting away while Karn stated to help gave him insight into how the empire’s run(militarily), as well as how much autonomy Freeza grants his general. Makes him think the emperor is a more hands-off leader, only showing up when needed.
Well obviously, only idiots micromanage every planet.
>Hoo boy, GL knows. He could see how shook she was and eventually got it out of her.
How long till he tries to start something next time we show up to thank him for helping Broly?
>Not many. But Batman sure as hell did, Superman and Supergirl as well.
Must, have, thoughts, do they approve of our dadding? Will they double approve after Arctus finishes getting Dreadzone and witnessing the Covie War? What about the Blooper reals?
>>
>>5701626
As none of them are parents themselves(that any of them know of), they just think Karn has a soft spot for kids. Which isn't an entirely wrong assumption, but still.
>>5701646
GL won't try to press Karn, he clearly realized the difference between himself and Superman, much less Karn and Freeza.
>>
>>5701704
>As none of them are parents themselves
Batman is a father in all but name, but I suppose you're right.
Anyways, I hope they all look a little further into Karn given how they could potentially come to blows with him, his family, friends, and entire species in the near future.
Not that I want them to start preparing for a fight mind you. I just want them to get a good at what it takes to stay free in this Universe. Superman especially.
He should know he's not the only person putting the weight of his world on his shoulders.
>>
>>5701766
True, but he didn't have that connection from blood. As someone who has watched several stepfathers become fathers, the difference is very obvious.
Batman has realized that there is no victory for Earth, unless they can discover a weakness inherent in Saiyan biology as well as whatever Freeza is. Batman did manage to 'trick' Arctus into a scanner, but in exchange Arctus now can remote into the Watchtower's systems and see 'everything'.
>>
>>5701800
My favorite thing about trying to kill Frieza's ilk is that he was literally still alive as sashimi cubes. Fucking bonkers.
>>
>>5701800
Saiyans have multiple weaknesses to be fair, such as their constant stupidly high calorie requirements, the whole tail being a weakness thing, how if they go monkey mode as soon as they drop out of it they burn through a shitload of stamina, their fairly low population to begin with, etc... the issue is nobody ever actually does research into their biology at all and people in the universe tend to just fight head to head, in addition if people looked into saiyan history or environment they would know the species was basically doomed if it wasn't for karn in specific, there's a great many reasons he's revered and feared across the universe.

Normally I would be on the side to agree, but it actually makes some good points about the concept of the Super Ego with the Subjective Ego and the duality between how one perceives (Persona) themselves versus their true nature (shadow). I didn't want to write an entire thesis on the misconception of the ego with the form's name due to smoothie brains only looking at the superfluous, as well as superficial connotations of Egotism (Arrogance and Pride) that are stagnant with Vegeta. And how an actually talented writer would've foreshadowed the "innate power within" during Vegeta's boasts came from the same nebulous sources found in the Majin Vegeta state 5-30 chapters before actually revealing the form for proper foreshadowing. Ain't nobody got time for that nor the patience to read such a thing.

Just checking, because if we left any biological material behind, I know exactly who would be there to scrape it up in the aftermath. Pic related.
Karn's DNA might be safe, but what about Frieza's? Darkseid rocked his shit pretty hard after all.
>>
>>5702151
>Lex makes a not!Cell with Karn and Frieza's DNA because fuck Superman
>It immediately calls Luthor a faggot, sends him to Yemma, and goes off to beat the Justice League to death to display dominance
>>
>>5702160
>A dash of Frieza
>A sprinkle of Karn
>A begrudging amount of Superman
>A frankly unhealthy percentage of Luthor for some reason
>Some lobster from the seafood dinner Luthor had earlier
>>
>>5702151
>Lex makes a Frieza clone
>it's blasts Lex to bits because someone dared to tell him that someone was his master
Though i'd legit be concerned about the aftermath of the absolute fuckery that would occur.

Just read the Patreon epilogue, very nice artwork btw.
It's nice to see that Z Broly isn't a complete retard, but I can't help but wonder if he can keep his nerve in the latter half of the battle. Also, is there a reason Mechikabura didn't lend Broly his sword and shield? If he wanted to see his full potential, it only makes sense to give him his preferred weapons
>>
>>5702353
My boy @Vincentgraphart is quite something.
Who knows?
Yes, weapons were not allowed. But would your Broly, after everything, still use them?
>>
>>5702408
>But would your Broly, after everything, still use them?
I get what you mean. Mastering yourself entails putting complete faith in your body and it's ability to perform.
Some people would argue weapons aren't conducive to that, and they may have a point. I'd also argue however that weapons can just as easily become an extension of one's self if mastered to certain degree.
Then you have the practical applications of employing those weapons in life or death combat.
Not to mention their synergy with Djem-So and Su-Ma, both styles originally devised for use with weapons.
I guess it depends on Broly's goals at the moment; Mastery or Victory?
>>
>>5702529
All good points, but I was hitting on a more… Immediately practical point. Would he be ABLE to use weapons without shattering them when his Primal power could be on par with Wrathful Super Saiyan, stronger than canon post-ToP Blue Goku/Vegeta or Golden Freeza? Would any weapon be able to withstand that sort of force?
>>
>>5702614
I can think of one. The most powerful weapon in the universe. The legendary sword capable of defeating even Majin Buu, the Zword. Weird name for a sword but hey, it sounds fancy?
>>
>>5702621

I just want to know why Shin thought that weak ass sword was anything special, it was just heavy as all hell and thats it. No special evil sealing powers, no lazer slashes, no sagely advice, no boost of power, it can't even conduct magic. It broke on a fucking ROCK, and it was supposedly supposed to defeat Majin Buu, a REGENERATOR, despite never testing the damn thing. Beerus probably got that overglorified prop from Space Family Dollar and sealed Elder Kai in a cheap plastic toy.
>>
>>5702753
>I just want to know why Shin thought that weak ass sword was anything special
Because he was told it was special and even he, a near pearless God, wasn't able to truly claim it.
Wouldn't you think it was special if you were similarly retarded?
>>
>>5702692
Unless your grip strength alone could crack Katchin…
>>5702699
Because legends get distorted over tens of millions of years, the original wording and meaning lost.
>>5702753
Because that’s what GSK told him, and he knew everything, even defeated the World-Eater Moro. Except how to best Majin Buu of course.
>>5702754
Right? GSK and South Supreme Kai, the two strongest Kai of his time couldn’t budge the thing, only further cementing the stories of how powerful it must be if THEY couldn’t draw it.
>>
>>5702135
Execution could be better desired and it really could've done more than being a piss-poor damage sponge with none of the cool tanking advantage or zombie-like persistence.

>>5703284
Again, all in the form’s presentation. And Granolah was the second-worst character to introduce UE against. Second only to Hit.
>>
>>5704160
>Hit is a hard counter to Ego
I don't really understand the form, but I'm guessing that the timeskip overwhelms the damage absorbing gimmick or something?
>>
>>5704222
He counters it the same way Granolah does, by going for Critical hits every single time.
>>
>>5704245
>oh so you want to get hit and shrug it off?
>aight bet, shrug off this severed carotid bruh
Truly a style made for idiots. Stubborn, manly idiots.
>>
>>5703284
but it's a tank form that directly turns damage taken into additional DPS. All things considered it isn't a terrible form, but vegeta has piss poor stamina comparatively for the requirements of that form, he also keeps using it on things that go for maximum damage and crippling attacks specifically, like for example he would probably do much better then goku against current frieza if all the fighters involved were in top form.
>>
>>5704365
Bingo. It is not a form great against assassin or one shot kill types, but against brawlers, martial artists and bruisers it is especially effective.
>>
>>5704160
I guess, but while I agree with that statement, Vegeta was equally his own worst enemy when getting that form. He wasted so much time goating his enemy and essentially having him undergo therapy in some half-baked semblance of trying to make amends and redeem himself while saving Granolah. Stuff that COULD'VE BEEN DONE AFTER THE FIGHT. Neutralize the threat first before trying to get him the help he needs. Also, why the fuck would you willingly accept your death when you got a son and daughter to look after. What the fuck Toyo.

>>5704369
The problem with that is Vegeta needlessly taking those hits. From what I gather that taking damage isn't necessary for the form to continuously evolve, just added insurance with a boon. So long as you have that manic fervor that is hyper-focused, if not hyper-fixated on a singular objective and its passion it will keep getting stronger. That's why Beerus is a perpetual rubberband that makes him as strong as the plot needs him to be. If Vegeta is going to avoid using his brain and not choose when to dodge, at the very least he should develop means to punish his enemies, recover from those hits or ignore them entirely to counterbalance his own shortcomings.

As for Black Frieza, they were all fully healed when he showed up for the most part. The supposed damage they received from Zombie-Gas wasn't critical or else Vegeta wouldn't be agonizing how Black Frieza one shotted both of them with no diff in the slightest if that was the case.
>>
>>5704958
This just makes me think of how unholy Ultra Ego Karn would be.
>>
>>5704958
>Also, why the fuck would you willingly accept your death when you got a son and daughter to look after.
Because death has lost most of its bite for him as it has the rest of the cast. He knows Goku’d leave and tell Bulma what happened and wish him back.
>needlessly taking those hits
While technically true, the form does slowly boost him over time, taking damage accelerates the boost dramatically. And, as he said himself, that was the FIRST time he actually managed to use the form and didn’t know its true limits yet.
>Black Freeza
100% agree, he smoked them both at their best.
>>5704979
>Ultra Ego Karn
I hadn’t ever actually thought of that before now. Hot damn.
>>
>>5705018
>Ultra Ego Karn VS Beast Karn VS Strength-Is-Truth (Jiren) Karn
Who wins?
>>
>>5705035
I can tell you who loses, which is whichever poor universe is hosting the fight. As it will no longer exist.
>>
>>5705035
>A fight that hectic, large, and flashy
Vox does if he can get the rights to it. Does his copyright of our Karn extend to other timelines?
>>
>>5705035
full jirenmode karn would probably get walloped explicitly because a good chunk of karns sheer tenacity is tied explicitly to his philosophy of fighting for his people and his family. this might make his power level higher a bit because he did nothing but git swole, he would probably get shit on by the other two anyways.
Beast Karn is probably balanced between the three by the sheer fact that it's essentially karn who said fuck this shit and stopped giving a crap about holding back all the time like he does, this is probably what happened in that one alt future where beerus blew up new salda and karn ripped him into chunks in sheer rage. my money actually is on ultra ego karn explicitly because he is probably from the hypothetical beast karn timeline farther down the road and got more good since then.
>>
>>5705048
Honestly, I'd pay good money to see a tournament bracket with those Karns and the other three from the first Karn Royale epilogue.
>>
Intermission out soon!

>>5705050
True enough. And he'd say it does, but so would the Vox from their timelines as well, if they have them.
>>5705054
Full Isolationist Karn would be the physically strongest, but perhaps the mentally weakest of all of them.
Beast Karn is, well, from a convoluted timeline. One that, due to the convoluted circumstances that would have had to lead to Karn gaining Elder Kai's Potential Unleashed to get Beast, would be even more arrogant than any other, even God Karn.
Ultra Ego Karn would not go down before the others, aside from a miracle cheap shot that somehow KOs him. It may kill him, but he won't quit for anything. Although he would have had to come from a timeline where he DIDN'T go down the Berserker route, as UE is still a divine form.
>>5705079
UE Karn would be from a branch of God Karn's timeline, one going UI the other UE. However, the isolated Karn could potentially be recruited by Beerus like Jiren was by Belmond and started going UE that way as well.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 199 Intermission-

AGE 756, BEERUS' PLANET

“Hmm hmm hmm.” the angel Whis hums to himself, walking to his charge's room. Despite the brightness outside, the tiny windows on the sides of the great tree barely let in any light, leaving the path up to the God of Destruction's private bedchamber bathed in shadows. Slowly he ascends the steps, walking up the purple crystal-strewn path to Lord Beerus's room, thoughts of that one Saiyan that has . But the angel's thoughts are interrupted as he hears a crash from above in the God of Destruction's room. He doesn't sense anyone or anything above but the Destroyer himself, raising the angel's guard. Something's going on, something that can't be good.

Without dawdling, Whis rushes up the last couple flights of stairs, entering the Destroyer's room to see that, shockingly, Beerus is seemingly awake! Whis watches, mouth agape as the Destroyer yawns, sitting on the ground beneath his bed.

“Mrrrhmmmmrr.” Beerus the Destroyer mutters, licking the back of his hand idly before scratching his face with his forearm.
“Well, look whose awake.” Whis asks, unsure if the Destroyer is truly awake or just sleepwalking. “You're up.... Surprisingly early. Is everything okay, my lord?”
“Couldn't sleep... Dreams...” the Destroyer God mutters, still rubbing his face. Whis sighs out, then speaks up.
“Well, now that you are awake, I do have a bath drawn for you, my lord.” the angel says, his voice not betraying that he'd drawn that bath for himself. “So go on, before it gets cold.”
“Mrhrrm, I do hate baths.” the god says, scratching his left ear with his back foot like a common house pet, not displaying the dignity of his role in the slightest while it is just the two of you around. “Maybe I just won't bathe?”

“Then the people will say, 'Oh that Lord Beerus, sure he's strong but he sure does smell'.” Whis says, holding his nose and turning his head to make his point without raising his voice. “They'll call you Lord Beerus the Destroyer of Noses, on account of the awful permeating stench.”
“Tch, fiiiiiine. Fine, I'll go.” the God of Destruction complains, rising up to his feet in a slouch. Whis turns, the Destroyer following the angel drowsily down the large staircase to the bath below. The angel leads Beerus the Destroyer to the bath, waiting outside until the god undresses and is mostly submerged in the water, calling his assistant in.

“And do you find the water pleasing, my lord?” Whis calls as he steps in, the Destroyer, mostly submerged beneath his collarbone replying.
“The water is perfectly adequate.” the Destroyer replies, tone a bit grumpy.
“Glad to hear it.” the angel answers, Beerus again rubbing the back of a hand against his sleepy eyes before speaking up.

“Anyways, I saw something Whis. In my dream.” Beerus says, looking not at his assistant but up at the ceiling far overhead. But the angel knows it isn't the architecture he's seeing. “I had that same dream I had before, about the Super Saiyan God. But this time, it was different.”
“Different, my lord?” Whis asks, secretly hoping his worries won't be confirmed by the Destroyer's rarely-prescient dream visions. “In what way?”
“This time it wasn't the Super Saiyan God I was fighting. At least, not only.” Beerus says, brow furrowing as he tries to recall what he'd seen. There was another.”
“Not just one, but TWO Super Saiyan Gods?” Whis asks sarcastically, Beerus shaking his head.

“No, no this one was different. He was brimming with a power I've not felt in a long, long time. The power of the Anti-Divine.” Beerus says seriously, confirming the angel's suspicions. “If such a being is here, and with the Super Saiyan God, then I must take action. Speaking of, Planet Vegeta WAS destroyed by Freeza, wasn't it?”
“Of course. However, before the planet was annihilated, Freeza did relocate the Saiyan populace to another world. One with twice Planet Vegeta's gravity, which has led to the Saiyan populace's power to skyrocket, relatively speaking. As well as created several new Super Saiyans in their midst.”
“The Super Saiyan? I remember him. The broad-shouldered one whose hair could change color, right?” Beerus asks, Whis nodding. “If I recall, he had no modesty whatsoever, but his power was certainly surprising. To think that a Saiyan of all things had closed the gap to Freeza's power so considerably is quite something.”

“More than that, my lord. But he is the one who, while you were asleep, killed the Supreme Kai of Time.” Whis says, Beerus shooting up to his feet in shock.
“He WHAT?!” Beerus exclaims, Whis blushing slightly and turning his head away before speaking.
“The water's not that deep, my lord.” he says, the Destroyer realizing immediately and dropping all the way underwater except for his eyes, letting his embarrassment burn for a moment before returning to the topic at hand with a cough.

“You were saying that a mortal managed to kill a god?” Beerus asks, changing the subject and not addressing his immodesty. “How? And what was the Supreme Kai of Time doing here of all places?”

“Well, that's quite the story my lord. I could explain it all in full, as I understand it, or give you a shorter version.” the angel explains, Beerus holding up a hand.
“Just tell me what information you think would be relevant to me.” Beerus says, lowering his hand. “Get me up to speed quickly, I don't need all the nuances.”
“Understood.” Whis says, quickly explaining how the Saiyan Karn was recruited by time travelers at war with the Supreme Kai of Time while Beerus gets out and dries himself off, how he's been leaving the timeline regularly for the last several years to no doubt aid them in their battles. And how, just a few short years ago, there was a battle on a planet here in this universe. “At the Saiyan Karn's firstborn son's wedding. At the climax of the battle, Karn struck one version of the Supreme Kai of Time from somewhere in time with his special ability, turning her power against her and destroying her.”

“Hrmmm, that does sound intriguing. Tell me more about this special ability.” Beerus says, eyes intense. “That power does sound familiar, where have I heard something like that before?”
“Well, a few hundred years ago King Cold had destroyed a planet of beings with exceptional abilities, called Planet Stan-Dyo.” Whis explains. “But he hadn't completely atomized it, several chunks crashing down to other worlds and somehow transferring the spirits and powers of its lost planet to people of those other planets. Somehow the Saiyan Karn came to be in possession of one such spirit, with the power to turn a being's ki back against them in devastating fashion. Erasing them, body and energy wholly leaving only their souls intact.”

“Quite the devastating attack. Do you think that such a power would work on me? Or would the power of Hakai destroy the creature completely?” Beerus asks, curious.
“I cannot say.” the angel answers. “What I can say is that even the Supreme Kai of Time couldn't undo it once the attack struck her, taking the form of a crimson-scaled dragon wrapped around the Saiyan's right fist.”
“A crimson-scaled dragon, you say?” the Destroyer asks, the angel nodding despite getting a bad feeling about the question. Which is confirmed by Beerus's next statement. “Then it means that this Saiyan, Karn, is the one from my dream. Clearly such a mortal is too much a threat to leave ignored. Tell me Whis, where is this 'Karn' fellow righ now?”

“Let's see.” Whis answers, tapping his staff on the ground once. Creating a cone of faint green light from the staff's end ending in a sphere, one that changes from a solid color to show the Saiyan Karn. Standing in his Ascended Berserker form, yet completely calm, watching his granddaughter as she takes on the Super Saiyan form with a shout. “Ah, there he is. On the new world of the Saiyans New Salda, formerly known as Kashyyyk.”

“Hold on. Wasn't the Super Saiyan transformation gold? Why is his hair green?” Beerus asks, raising a brow. Which then furrows as he looks as the young Super Saiyan, then to King Vegeta IV. “And that one looks familiar, who is that?”
“That is because his Super Saiyan power has diverged, tapping into the anti-divine power changes his transformation like that.” Whis says, then focuses the vision on Vegeta. “As for this one, that is King Vegeta IV.”

“Wait, that child turned into that?” Beerus asks, raising a hand and stroking his chin. “Why does he look like he was stuck partially transformed?”
“That is another new Super Saiyan power he has pioneered, combining the Super Saiyan power with their Oozaru form to ascend to this level.” Whis says, Beerus raising a brow.
“Super Saiyan combined with Oozaru? You'd expect such a form to be a golden monkey, not like this.” he says, sighing out and letting his mouth and nose sink below the waves for several seconds, water bubbling as Whis continues.

“They have developed the Super Saiyan form quite extensively since your last visit to Planet Vegeta, discovering and engineering new transformations and permutations.” the angel continues. “Karn's firstborn daughter has combined Super Saiyan with the power of Faith, of her worshippers across the universe, some of his allies have combined Super Saiyan with their demonically-recreated bodies and the Oozaru power, Karn's adoptive son Broly has combined that anti-divine Super Saiyan power with King Vegeta's bestial power combining Super Saiyan with Oozaru, Karn's mate and wife Meloka has pushed the base Super Saiyan form to the limits, mastering it to the point she'd actually forgotten how to power back and out of it for years.”

“Gaaah! It's like a damn Super Saiyan Bargain sale!” Beerus complains, pulling on his ears as he shouts skyward a moment. But then he regains his composure, stopping in place as he remembers something then leans forward. “Hold on. You said one of his daughters had combined it with Faith. How does a mortal have access to the source of divine power?”
“It is something the mortals call Dreadzone, a combat sport broadcast to the entire universe.” Whis explains. “The universe at large has watched Chaya grow up since she was knee high to you, increasing her power and skill over the years since she was little. And has learned to harness their belief in her on her own, attaining this power.”

Whis then taps his staff, changing the view to Karn's daughter as she uses the power from her fight with Tanya. Beerus watches intently, a slow grin coming to his face.

“Whis. How long would it take for us to reach this daughter of his, this Chaya? I think you might have found me the Super Saiyan God I've been searching for.”

Welp. This has a 50/50 shot of turning into a death match for real depending on how Beerus treats Chaya since shes 100% not going to be up to par. >>5705238
No, Beerus is still well and far beyond. Even with that power she'd be a better Super Saiyan God than Goku was during the BoG time, but she wouldn't beat him. Deities like Beerus, Chronoa, Jergal etc are powered by faith like the lesser gods, but the faith in them isn't necessarily faith others have in THEM specifically.

He repeatedly said he would kill them, though. And blow up their planet. Try floating that shit around Chaya, and then Karn when he hears about it or someone shows him on TV. Goku and even Vegeta (at that point) were two turbodweebs who didn't take threats seriously.
>>
>>5705270
Not when he first met Goku. It was only after Buu's actions did he first decide on destruction in both the Z movie and DBS timelines.
>>
>>5705282
I'm pretty sure it was before that as a throwaway comment about his time being wasted showing up but I could just be Mandela-ing that. Either way, if you're implying that there aren't tons of bumbling shitheels at the Dreadzone who are gonna do something stupid, you're trying to sell me a strainer to keep my head dry in the rain.
>>
>>5705235
You should be proud that we're all so instinctively protective of our narrative child.
>>
>>5705303
You say that like he hasn’t walked into others’ arenas to challenge their champions before completely breaking them more times than he can remember. Don’t forget, Beerus’s main drive at least initially is entertainment and to see how ‘godly’ the Super Saiyan God is. After Chaya, however, his attitude towards YOU may be different. Out the gate he knows you’re a god killer and break the natural order. Unlike in Super, where Beerus turned a blind eye to Future Trunks’ trespass as he didn’t want to destroy Earth by then, having grown attached.
>>5705306
Oh absolutely. But I’m trying to warn you all that rocking up to BEERUS the DESTROYER with the wrong attitude is a great way to have the quest forever end.
>>
>>5705258
You said they get power from the Faith people have in their specific domain, right? Like, Chronoa gets power because people believe in the idea of time?
>>
>>5705312
Yes basically. The death gods get their power from belief that living things die, the Supreme Kais get their power from people believing life can be created, Chronoa’s is from people believing in the concept of time progressing and Destroyers get their power by, well I think its rather obvious. Which is the reason why Jergal is so against most forms of undeath and beings cheating their lifespans.
>>
>>5705308
Counterpoint, Beerus tries walking up on Karn the wrong way, his Quest stops early, and all Anon's throw a bitchfit at being mogged harder than a movie villain.
>>
>>5705308
And yet he got mad that a fat pudding ate his pudding. Alls I'm saying is, I don't expect a childish catman to stand around dudes like Dallas and not take their heads off.
>>
>>5705318
>The death gods get their power from belief that living things die,
Jergal must absolutely adore Karn and Chilli then, for killing gods of all things. Proving that even the immortal is mortal after all. That'll make people believe in death.

It would be sick as hell if we could actually gank the cat, but Beerus is NOT anywhere near comparable to the little bitches we fry on a regular basis, and more importantly KNOWS what we're about. Chances are he won't hold anything back when he claps eyes on Beserker 3. It's going to be extremely difficult even with Meloka's help.
>>
Let's say we actually succeeded and gank the cat without issue. Would we try to find a replacement or flat-out keep the entire celestial hierarchy in shambles and achieve what Hearts wanted all along
>>
>>5705495
I'm not really sure what happens to a universe without a destroyer. I think Whis will just have to ask his papa for a new one or scour his own assigned universe for a candidate.
>>
>>5705553
>I think Whis will just have to ask his papa for a new one
Whis goes dormant if Beerus dies. That's pretty much the only reason why Zamasu was as much of a problem as he was.
>>
>>5705555
So in other words, shit gets fucked from the top bottom of our universe and leaves it even more vulnerable to catastrosphic assholes like Zamasu?
>>
>>5705609
Potentially, yes. However, keep in mind that Whis doesn't actually do much of anything when he's active, nor is he expected to.
As far as I know, his only responsibilities as an Angel are attending to the God of Destruction and intervening when other Angels are conducting unauthorized business in his jurisdiction.
Beyond that, he's content to sit on his bony blue ass while the Universe goes to shit.
>>
24 hours left, hope you’re ready.

>>5705337
Ha. But to be fair, should Beerus fall, he always has Whis to revive him. Albeit probably begrudgingly.
>>5705344
There’s a difference between one on one personal disrespect and a show for an audience. Yamcha did more damage to Beerus with a slap than Ultimate Gohan, yet Gohan got his shit rocked while Beerus said nothing to Yamcha.
>>5705346
More importantly, it enforces DEITIES’ belief in death as inevitable.
>>5705489
You’ll havr to see how this plays out.
>>5705495
A good question.
>>5705553
See>>5705555, they have it right. And the Destroyer dies if the Supreme Kai dies.
>>5705649
Their job is to keep the Destroyers somewhat in line, preventing wanton unnecessary destruction.
>>
>>5705674
You mean Bulma right?
>>
Well heres hoping the cat doesn't try to kill chaya and everyone there, because i legit kind of fear that future. I don't want to kill the cat or throw it down into a deathmatch because if that happened either the quest dies, or shit genuinely gets stupid in the karnverse because someones gotta be the destroyer at the end of the day and best case is either us or frieza.
>>
>>5705738
No I mean Yamcha. He slapped Beerus on the back and made the GoD lurch.
>>5705791
Why would he? Especially when/if she drops the news she isn’t the Super Saiyan God, saying that her mother would be stronger than her?
>>
>>5705835
.....You mean lurch in disgust right?
>>
>>5705841
Naw, he genuinely caught him off-guard with how casually he did it. As a result, it very slightly knocked Beerus forward.
The only thing that would make Beerus lurch in disgust is Chronoa's cooking.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

On the Kryptonian Superman's adoptive homeworld, the extra-dimensional being Darkseid invaded. Golden Freeza battles the dark self-proclaimed god, yet despite his power the emperor wasn't able to defeat Darkseid. Only thanks to Arctus's use of the found Mother Box was Darkseid and his minions sent back to their own dimension. Then, months later Chilli returned to New Salda with his pregnant wife and daughter, as Megumin was starting to go into labor. Karn took his granddaughter to go see King and Prince Vegeta. And as we rejoin Karn, Meloka Wolbach has just showed the young prince her Super Saiyan power.

“Why are your eyes still red?” Prince Vegeta V asks your granddaughter.
“It's because I am not only a Saiyan, I'm also a member of the Crimson Demon Clan!” Meloka Wolbach exclaims, striking another dramatic pose like her mother and father do on occasion. “Not only can I use my father's Super Saiyan, but I can use my mother's magic too!”
“Wait, you can use magic? Like miss Guardian Raven?” the boy asks, you raising a brow and looking to the king. Who smirks back to you, telepathically answering your unspoken question.
“You think you're the only one whose been learning and training?” he asks, looking more smug than you've seen him in quite awhile. But before you can reply, suddenly there's a knock on the gravity chamber's door, a familiar voice calling out.

“My king, is everything okay?” your former student-turned-queen Cenoria asks, opening the door and peeking in with her Stand peering over her shoulder. “I have-Ah. General Karn, I wasn't aware you were here as well.”
“Just stopping by for a bit, Queen Cenoria.” you say, giving her a proper Saiyan salute before continuing. “Chilli and Megumin are here, she's with Dr. White now.”
“Oh, really? I hope everything goes well, if she needs my help let me know.” Queen Cenoria responds, something in her tone giving you pause. For a moment you ponder what she could mean by that, if her Stand's abilities have evolved even further, but you put that out of your mind. Turning back to your granddaughter, she's focusing on one of the downed Saibamen corpses, both arms outstretched. And with a flash, understand what she's about to do.

She's about to use her magic.

But what do you do?
>Stand back and watch, you're curious how her training with her father has been coming along
>Tell her that using that inside is probably not a good idea, say she should do so outside instead
>Ask her what she's about to do, what she plans on doing before she simply starts casting magic. Magic's dangerous after all
>Lunge forward and grab her by the arm, tell her that using destructive magic indoors isn't a good idea, even inside the gravity chamber

“Hold on kiddo, let's not do that inside.” you say to your granddaughter, who turns to you confused. “Let's head outside before you start using your magic.”
“Oh, okay.” she says, running over to you and holding her arms up. Understanding what she wants you reach down, grabbing her under her arms and picking your granddaughter up. But you don't just hold her, instead you lift her over your head, setting her down on the back of your neck. She grabs two handfuls of hair to hold onto you as the young prince watches, glancing sideways at his father a moment before he shakes his head, almost to himself. But as you're about to go to the door, you turn to the king.
“Hey, mind leading us outside? I still don't know this place's setup well.” you ask him, to which the young prince speaks up.
“I-I can lead us outside.” he says a bit nervously, but looking resolute. “I know every way in this palace, father made sure.”

“Very well, lead us outside son.” King Vegeta IV says, the young prince nodding before turning to the door. He opens the heavy gravity chamber door, you following him with the king bringing up the rear as the young prince navigates the palace easily. Within a couple minutes he has led the four of you to the throne room, where there is a surprisingly large crowd of unfamiliar faces are gathered. Only a single one of them possesses any remarkable power, you focusing on it to discover that it is the king's younger brother, Tarble speaking with several of them, but they aren't looking too happy. You look back to the king, who also doesn't look happy to see them either “Son, go with Karn for now. I'll handle this.”

“Yes sir.” his son says, you looking to the king a moment. But he meets your gaze, expression softening as you can almost see his thoughts without using telepathy. This is a matter for a king, and while you're strong politics aren't your thing. So you leave him to it, instead turning to the boy and offering him a hand.
“Want to sit beside Meloka Wolbach?” you ask, the prince nervously looking from your hand to his father. Who gives his son a small smile and nod, the young prince grinning and turning back, accepting your hand. With careful effort you lift him up as well, setting him on your right shoulder before walking down beside the throne, towards the large double doors at the front of the building. The clamor in the room dies down as they all start noticing you, the crowd of weaker Saiyans parting to let you through. As you head to the door, you can't help but notice several of them look to you in anger, others awe and still more seem nervous, looking back and forth as if seeking a way to escape.

“What is this all about? I had thought this matter settled.” King Vegeta calls, voice booming throughout the throne room. The gazes turn from you to the king, you reaching the door and opening it, ducking through to make sure the children's heads don't slam into the door frame before closing the double doors behind you.

“Where can I show Vegeta my magic?” Meloka Wolbach asks you, your granddaughter squirming in anticipation. “I wanna use my big magic I learned from Momma and show him a really big bang!”

Well? Where do you take them?
>To the ship, firing her Explosion out over the sea should be fine
>Take them both to Raven's island, the Guardian can create a target for her to annhilate

“Patience kiddo, not while we're in the city.” you tell her, turning towards the massive forest and taking off at a slow pace, so the two children can hang on. “Your magic's too strong to be used here, wait until we're out in the forest so you can really cut loose.”
“Ahhh! Really?” she asks, bouncing up and down in excitement. “This is gonna be so cool!”

You fly out over the forest, coming to a stop over the area you'd been traveling to recently while training the twins Leyas and Sarada in mastering their Primal Demon forms. Landing in the crater, the children both jump off of you, your granddaughter looking around. After a moment she spots the boulder that has several heavy slashes in it, the girl smiling.

“There! I will use my Explosion on that!” she declares, pointing to the boulder and deciding its her target.
“That rock?” the prince asks, your granddaughter nodding. She then rolls up her oversized sleeves, wearing one of her mother's old dresses and plants her feet, hands out towards the rock. “Want to shoot it while its moving?”
“Oh yeah, that sounds like fun!” she says, the young prince walking over to the rock. He looks at it a moment before driving his hands into the large cracks, lifting the entire thing from the ground and holding it overhead. “You ready?”
“Ready.” he replies, then with a grunt launches the boulder straight up into the air.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ERKnkHq-6XA

“My name is Meloka Wolbach! Daughter of the Master of Explosions Megumin and the Crystal Sage Chilli!” she declares, a magical circle appearing on the ground beneath her feet as the boulder's upwards momentum stalls. “Darkness blacker than black and darker than dark, I beseech thee, combine with my deep crimson. The time of awakening cometh. Justice, fallen upon the infallible boundary, appear now as an intangible distortion. EXPLOOOOOOSION!!”

And in a flash the boulder disappears, her magic consuming the rock in a surprisingly large fireball. You hadn't expected her Explosion to be anywhere near her mother's power, but the blast is easily several of your wingspans across. You turn your gaze from the blast to the children, Prince Vegeta's jaw dropped as your granddaughter looks up, but you can immediately tell something's wrong. Her powerlevel has plummeted, and after a second she falls limply forward. Before you can fully comprehend why her power dropped your body's already on the move, surging forward and catching your little granddaughter with one hand before she can hit the ground.

“Kiddo, you okay?” you ask, gently turning her over to see a wide, satisfied smile on her face.
“That was my best Explosion yet.” she says, then turns to the prince as he walks up, clearly concerned as well. “What do you think?”
“It was a great, but are you okay?” he asks her, brows furrowed in concern. “Why did your power drop like that?”
“When I use more magic power than my body's got, it eats my energy to fuel the spell instead.” she replies, yawning as her eyes droop. “Now I'm really sleepy.”

“She just needs a boost.” you tell the young prince, focusing your ki and slowly, carefully channeling a whisper of power into the young girl. It only takes a second for your power to completely recharge her own, your granddaughter's eyes snapping open and focusing on you. “There you go. Feeling better?”
“Better? I feel great!” she shouts, rolling backwards off your hand to land on all fours on the ground. She then jumps straight into the air, probably clearing the tree line off a single bound before dropping back down to you and the young prince. “Thanks grandpa!”

“Hello, Meloka Wolbach.” New Salda's Guardian Raven says, stepping through one of her portals. “That was quite the blast.”
“You saw it?!” she exclaims, eyes wide in excitement as she rushes over to your longtime friend and ally. “What did you think?”
“That was an excellent show of power. Very well done.” Raven says, then notices young Prince Vegeta. “Good day, your highness.”
“Good day to you, miss Guardian.” the prince says, to your surprise saluting her. “Is everything going well?”

“Yes, quite. Although I was surprised to sense a certain someone unleashing a surprising amount of magical power.” Raven says, turning her gaze back to your granddaughter. “Your mother finally allowed you to learn Explosion?”
“Yeah! And I've been getting really good at it!” she says excitedly, but then her mood visibly dampens. “But I can't do it again today. I put everything I had into that one.”
“It's okay, you can cast another one for me some other time.” Raven tells her, your granddaughter cheering before Raven sets her down. But, as she does, everything stops. Immediately you power up to one hundred percent, emerald aura blazing as you start sensing about for whatever's coming. But then, a second later, HE appears before you.

“General Karn. We need to talk.” Kars says, the immortal Kai simply appearing out of thin air before you. “Something's wrong. He's on the move already.”
“Kars? What's going on? WHO is on the move?” you ask him, feeling your heart rate quicken as you can see the genuine panic in his eyes that he's doing his best to suppress.

“Him. THE God of Destruction.” Kars tells you, your own eyes widening in surprise. “Lord Beerus has awakened and is on the move.”

“I appreciate it. Thank you.” you say, Kars giving you a two finger salute from his forehead before vanishing, time resuming a moment later. You immediately reach out to Meloka, telling your wife what you'd learned.

“Well, I guess its time.” she replies, resignation and a hint of excitement in her tone. “I'll let everyone know and start getting everyone ready for the ritual.”
“Good, I'll go back and get King Vegeta and his people as well.” you reply, the two of you ending the connection. Only for you to see Raven's face has gone even paler than usual, eyes full of fear. No doubt having heard everything.
“Can you let me know if you sense his ki approaching?” you ask her, the Guardian turning to you. “I can't sense divine ki.”
“R-Right. I'll let you know.” she replies, you giving her a nod then reaching out, placing your left hand on her head. “Ah-!”

“Relax, Guardian Raven. You've got this.” you tell her, feeling the kids' inquisitive gazes on you before you turn to them.
“Is something wrong?” the young prince asks, brows furrowed as he studies your face. “It's something bad happening, isn't it?”
“Something bad?” your granddaughter asks him, turning her gaze to you. “Grandpa? What's wrong?”

“Okay.” your granddaughter says, climbing up your arm to sit on your right shoulder as you reach out to King Vegeta.
“Vegeta, we've got a problem.” you tell him telepathically, instantly sensing his sudden sigh.

“Alright, what's going on?” he asks after a moment, you sensing that he's frustrated with whatever problem he'd been dealing with before.
“Kars just stopped time and showed up to tell me that Beerus is awake.” you tell him, sensing King Vegeta's immediate panic. But then, to your surprise, the panic fades and you sense not excitement, but almost relief in his mind. “According to the Kai, he's now entered the mortal realm. Raven's aware and will tell me when he gets close.”

“Good. I'll reach out to her as well, make sure information is spread.” he replies, then adds. “Tell my son to head home and tell Cenoria the Destroyer is come, she'll know what to do.”
“Understood.” you reply, King Vegeta IV ending the mental link. You turn to your friend's son, who is looking curiously to you. “Your father said for you to go home, and to tell your mother that 'the Destroyer is come'.”

“Not yet, but we're going back to my home.” you tell her, lifting up into the air and orienting yourself homeward as you reach out to your eldest-born son. “Chilli, I'm bringing your daughter back. We've got a problem.”

“Mom already told me.” he replies immediately, you sensing his frustration through the link. “Dammit. I can't leave Megumin right now.”
“Relax son, I'm just keeping you in the know.” you tell him. “And that I'm bringing your daughter back to you, hopefully to keep her out of the fighting.”
“Right. Okay.” he answers, you able to visualize him taking a deep, calming breath. “Good luck Dad.”
“You too.” you reply to him, ending the telepathic link after focusing on his ki, and with a second's focus teleport yourself and Meloka Wolbach by his and his mother's side. Just as she starts screaming.

“GAAAAAAAAAH!!”

“MOMMA!!” the young girl shouts, leaping from you and flying over to her mother's side, hugging her head. “I'm here Momma!”
“GRRrrrrr! Th-Thank you.” she gets out through gritted teeth, trying to smile for her daughter through the pain. You turn to your son, placing your hand on his shoulder and channel some of your own energy into him, Chilli turning to you with a confused expression.

“Just in case you or her need it.” you tell him, then turn to Dr. White as his attention is entirely focused on your daughter-in-law. Without another word you turn to the door, then raise your hand to your forehead as you prepare to find the next person to tell. However, before you can your daughter Chaya, who is currently off world reaches out to you.
“Daddy, he's here.” your daughter thinks to you, you sensing her emotions are on a roller coaster. “The Destroyer's here!”
“WHAT?!” you exclaim aloud, then after a second regain your composure and repeat your question to her. “What do you mean, Beerus is there?!”
“He's here looking for me!” she replies, her eagerness and worry in equal parts flooding her mind. “He said that he wants to see my divine power in action!”

Well? How do you react to this?

Trying to play games with Beerus is just gunna set him off. Chaya will live him batting her around for abit. We need the prep done.

Also I didn't get it in the last intermission. Beerus waking up a year early? Yeesh. Fucking 5th dimensional beings cause 3rd dimensional ripple effects. We'd probably have that year if he didn't force us into full power Berserker 3.

“Then I'd do what he says.” you tell her, clearly surprising your daughter. “Go along with what the Destroyer wants, I'll be there soon. Just as soon as me and your mother gather everyone for the rituals.”
“R-Right!” she replies, then after a second adds. “Thanks Dad.”
“Be careful.” you tell her, your daughter ending the link. Immediately you reach out to Meloka, informing her of this development.
“Dammit! I know fooling around with that power was going to cause trouble!” your wife replies. “I have enough base Super Saiyans, including Nappa and King Vegeta here with me.”

“Then I'm there.” you reply, raising your right to your forehead. And with a second's thought teleport to your wife's side, several familiar faces all staring at you upon your arrival.
“And that's everyone.” King Vegeta says aloud, turning to you. “So, when is Lord Beerus supposed to arrive?”
“He's not. He's currently at Dreadzone.” you tell him, everyone's jaws dropping. Several voices shout out, but Vegeta's is deadly calm. He understands fully what's going on. “So that's where WE are headed.”
“Karn. Are you sure you want to unleash that sort of power there?” Goar asks you, his tone uncertain. “That's a lot of collateral damage potential there.”

“Until we know what Lord Beerus's intentions are, yes.” you reply. “I will NOT let him destroy my daughter. Now, everyone hold on.”

With that you raise your right hand to your forehead, focusing your vastly improved ki sense out towards Dreadzone and your daughter. But, as you do, something's wrong. Your daughter's power isn't blazing like it was when the two of you were telepathically linked, as if something is dampening her power. Or a god has arrived, its presence squashing the other powerlevels nearby under its weight. But regardless you find your daughter, focusing exclusively on her and teleporting to her side. One moment later you find yourself outside her suite at Dreadzone Station, the formerly-undefeated Yardratian champion Soba a step behind her.

“DADDY!” she exclaims, lunging for your chest and holding onto you tight. You can almost smell her fear, your usually-fearless daughter cowed by the GoD's nearby presence. “I'm so glad you're here.”

“Well well, I remember you.” a vaguely-familiar voice calls out from behind you and your group, immediately setting off every single danger instinct in your body all at once. “Karn, was it?”

You turn, everyone getting out of the way between you and the purple cat man standing there, with his blue-skinned tall assistant with his staff just behind him. Immediately you give the Destroyer a proper Saiyan salute, then bow to him at the waist.

“Lord Beerus. It has been some time.” you say, everyone else present bowing as well. You just barely hear a satisfied-seeming noise from him, and as you raise your head see the God of Destruction grinning ever so slightly. “I trust that you've been well?”
“Nineteen years is barely enough for a decent nap, but it will have to do.” the Destroyer replies, the seriousness of his demeanor fading as he yawns comically wide, but as he resumes speaking all hint of humor is gone. “And it would seem that you've been getting into quite the trouble while I've been preoccupied.”

“Trouble does having a habit of finding me and my people.” you reply, not averting your gaze. But he does, looking over the group of clearly warriors you've brought along before addressing you again.
“This group doesn't seem like a welcoming party.” he says, King Vegeta IV stepping forward towards him out of the group. “Ah, King Vegeta. There you are. Mind telling me what all this is?”
“Of course, Lord Beerus.” the king replies, gesturing to you all with a sweeping gesture. “I have studied well these last years, and learned many of my people's secrets. Like the power I now wield. But the power you seek no one can achieve on their own. One needs six people for each ritual, to make the Super Saiyan God you've been looking for.”

“You take the power of five Saiyans and put that into the sixth? Interesting.” Lord Beerus says, turning to Whis. “Tell me, have you ever heard of such a thing?”
“Many peoples have attempted to create deities over the years, with... Well, less than spectacular results.” the GoD's assistant says, then turns his gaze to Chaya. “However, it would seem that a mortal ascending to godhood, at least partially, is more than possible for the Saiyans.”
“That's true enough. But what do you mean, rituals?” Beerus asks him, eyes narrowing a bit. “Are you telling me that there is more than one type of Saiyan God?”

“That would be me, although my power isn't exactly divine.” you tell Beerus, the GoD turning his gaze to you as you blaze your emerald aura up around you. “When the first Super Saiyan God was born during a Saiyan civil war, the other side created this power I inherited, to combat him.”
“Well, there IS a hint of anti-divine power I can sense from you. But nothing extraordinary.” the cat man replies, again yawning. “However, I want to test the one who obtained divine power on her own first, since she's not the Super Saiyan God. To see what a self-made Saiyan God can do.”

Honestly its a unique idea, lets the Saiyans stretch their rep across the universe more, buys time for Freeza to arrive, and gives Karn time to study Beerus. So long as he doesn't kill someone theres no much of a downside.

“Of course, Lord Beerus. But...” you say, the Destroyer raising a brow as you stop speaking, clearly intrigued. “Would you like to fight each of the unique Super Saiyan types here as well, before facing the Super Saiyan God?”
“Unique Super Saiyan types?” he asks, head tilting a bit. “What do you mean?”
“We've been busy since you left Planet Vegeta.” you tell him, clenching your fists and letting your aura surge. “For example, my Berserker power is quite different to my wife's Super Saiyan Three.”

“Super Saiyan Three?” he asks, Meloka stepping forward. As she does you telepathically reach out to both Broly and the twins Leyas and Sarada, telling them all your plan before your wife transforms, Broly agreeing to bring everyone to you. Then with a shout ascends into her current strongest form, golden hair reaching down beneath the base of her tail as lightning crackles around her golden aura. “Ah, I see.”
“And that's not all. HRRAAAA!!” King Vegeta roars, ascending back into his Primal form, fur sprouting all over his body as his hair grows noticeably as well down past his shoulders. Broly then appears as well, Beerus raising a brow at the newcomers.

“HAAAAAAAA!” Leyas and Sarada both shout, their pale auras blazing as they transform. They take on their Primal Demon forms, Beerus watching them. But then he notices that Broly has your same power, his attention focusing on your son.
“Hang on, you there. You wield the same power as Karn.” he says, eyes locked on your son. “Tell me, what sort of unique form do you have?”
“It's not really unique, Lord Beerus.” he says, gesturing to both you and King Vegeta. “But I have combined both the forms of my father and King Vegeta, to use this. HAAAAA!!”

His aura blazes up emerald around him, your son growing another foot taller, shoulders even broader as he takes on his Primal Berserker form.

“Oh my.” the blue-skinned man behind Beerus says, looking your son up and down as he now towers over everyone present, even you.
“Well, there are quite a number of you with....Varied levels of power.” Beerus says, then smirks. “Very well. I shall test the varied powers of your race, before fighting the Super Saiyan God. You there, girl. You said you'd lead us to the arena, right?”
“Of course!” your daughter shouts out over the sounds of everyone's powers blazing, pushing to the front of the group. “It would be my honor to spar with one such as you.”
“I'm sure it is. Now, lead on.” the God of Destruction orders, your daughter turning and walking down a hallway. Beerus and his assistant follow along, you all powering back down and following along behind them.

You all are quite the procession, a dozen Saiyans following a god and his assistant, all following the Champion of Dreadzone towards the arena. The halls are quite empty, your daughter leading you all through the labyrinthine maze of halls until coming to an open doorway with cheers pouring through. No doubt the arena, and from the volume of noise there's already a match in progress.

“Please wait here, Lord Beerus.” your daughter tells the Destroyer, and by extension all of you. “I'll secure us the arena, then I can show you my full power.”
“Yes yes, go do what you must.” the Destroyer says, giving your daughter a shooing gesture towards the door. “But don't take too long now. My patience does have its limits.”
“Of course. One moment.” she replies, turning towards the doorway. And as she turns, for a single moment your eyes meet. She still seems nervous, but the cheers of the crowd have seemingly invigorated her, boosting her confidence. You give her a nod as she goes, passing through the door out into the stadium beyond. Beerus then turns to you and King Vegeta, addressing you both.

“I'll face her first, to see the true power of her divinity. Then, I shall call you all down, to show off your varied mortal strengths.” he says then turns to his assistant, speaking to him after sniffing the air. “Whis, tell me. Do you smell that?”
“Yes, it does smell quite intoxicating.” the angel says, Beerus grinning.
“While I'm down there showing these mortals the power of a God of Destruction, mind finding out what that is? If its something delicious, I want one.”

“The concessions? I can take you, uhh, Lord Whis?” Tunnip asks, the Destroyer's assistant laughing a moment before correcting her.
“Just Whis is fine, I'm no lord. I am Lord Beerus's attendant, I don't have a high position myself.” he tells her, then answers. “But I will take you up on this offer. Some of these smells are quite mouth-watering. Please, lead on.”
“Of course, stick close to me. These crowds get quite rowdy.” the woman says, sharing a nod with Meloka before leading the Destroyer's assistant away from the door. As the sound of their footsteps fade, suddenly you hear the unique voice and cadence of the Dreadzone announcer, Dallas.

“Ladies and gentlemen, tonight we have something never before seen for you all!” he shouts, you popping your neck and knuckles, mentally preparing yourself for facing down the being who is no doubt one of the strongest deities you've ever faced. “Tonight, right here and now, our Champion has been challenged to an exhibition match! By none other than the undefeated! Unstoppable! The God of Destruction himself, LORD BEERUS!”

I get a feeling that Broly and Sarada are going to be the stand-outs here.
Sarada's one of the more powerful Super Saiyans and pretty damn good with her preferred weapons. If she keeps her cool and leverages her strengths accordingly, she might just surprise Beerus. Not fighting alongside Leyas might pose an issue though, but I imagine she'd have trained around that scenario over the years as well.
Then there's Broly with a temperament beyond his years, experience to match, and strength that rivals our own. He really tried his best to live up to the example we set, but he's very rapidly exceeding it as time goes on.
>>

The Primal Demons will be some of the strongest characters fighting pre-ritual, and Sarada’s no slouch even without it. Broly might catch Beerus off guard for his speed relative to his size, that much man moving at those speeds would surprise anyone.
And yes he has, Broly’s been working tirelessly to fight by your side, to protect his people and family as not one who needs protecting. But one who can stand shoulder to shoulder with his idols and fight with them as an equal.
>>5707272
As long as he doesn’t feel disrespected, he’s generally very chill.

All he needed was a good role model. And he turned into a fine young man. Can only imagine how cracked his kids are gonna be though. If any of them inherit the BIG MAD and mix that with the massive weirdness that is the Tamaraneans you got something really fucky on your hands. Thankfully with how he managed to turn out, even if his children turn out to be a handful he'll have it covered. Proud of him.

“Well, I believe that is my cue.” the Destroyer says calmly, stepping through the door. A moment later the crowd erupts into cheers, you all entering the room after he takes to the air and flies down to the arena. You watch as he lands several strides away from your daughter, hands behind his back, knuckles pressed together as he stares her down.
“Doesn't he just LOOK regal?” Dallas asks the audience, then continues. “And his opponent! Our beloved champion, she who has already deposed two gods, the goddess of the arena Chaya!!”

The crowd explodes into roars and cheers, the volume shaking the air as they cheer her on. Their chants of “CHA-YA! CHA-YA! CHA-YA!!”s echoing in the air and in your head, reaching a fever pitch.

“Let this exhibition match between gods begin!” Dallas shouts, your daughter transforming with a roar.
“HRRRRRYAAAAAAAAA!!” Chaya bellows, her golden aura blazing wildly up in a pillar around her as her powerlevel explodes. Her body starts swelling, muscles expanding as sparks dance around her. But then her power suddenly plummets, the wide beam of light from her transformation contracting as that azure glow starts radiating from around her body within her golden aura. You look to Beerus, immediately seeing the change in his body language. Where before he was just casually standing there without any regards for your daughter, now he's paying attention, guarded as she takes on her divine form with a final roar. “HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!”

With a final flash of light Chaya's transformation is complete, your daughter lowering her head to look at the Destroyer before her and immediately takes her fighting stance as the crowd chants her name. You can't hear what's spoken over the crowd, their cheers deafening as the two gods below stare each other down. Beerus then raises one hand, palm up and gestures for your daughter to come to him.

“Well well, look at you.” Lord Beerus tells you, smiling slightly as you lower your head, then take your fighting stance. “Impressive, this might be fun yet. Now, come at me however you can.”

With that the Destroyer brings his right arm from behind his back, gesturing you to come at him in a gesture quite familiar to your Daddy's own. Without hesitation you blast off the arena floor towards him as the crowd chants your name, divine aura blazing. You dash to him, then at the last second leave an Afterimage behind, dashing and spinning around behind him while swinging a left down at the back of his head. But just as your fist is about to connect, his right hand blurs, intercepting and catching your punch. Its as if your hand struck an immovable wall, the Destroyer's arm not budging an inch. And, even more worryingly, he's grabbed a hold of your fist! You can't pull free!

“Wha-! Guuh!” you start, before the Destroyer slings you forward, slamming you to the ground and sending you sliding through the tile across the arena. Sliding to a stop you start rising up, only to see Beerus right there in front of you, grinning. Then, before you can react, he flicks you in the forehead! But it doesn't feel like a flick, that small effort from the Destroyer hits you harder than anyone. Even your Daddy at his strongest never hit you even a fraction as hard as this!

“KYAAAAAAAH!!” you scream out as you're sent sliding across and through the tiled floor, sliding right off the edge of the arena. But you're not going out like this! Flipping through the air you reach out, grabbing the arena's edge and stopping yourself from falling down into the lava below, the heat radiating up on you. “Tch! I'm not DONE!!”

With a roar you throw yourself back up by your one handed grip on the arena edge, flying up into the air a couple dozen feet before coming to a stop and trying to catch your breath. But as you do,you feel something wet against your chin. While keeping your eyes locked onto the Destroyer still standing there idly you wipe your chin with the back of your right hand, freezing as you see blood staining the back of your hand.

“No way. THAT made me bleed?” you think to yourself, shaking your head and focusing on the fight before you. Beerus the Destroyer may be stronger than anyone you've ever seen, but that doesn't mean you're going to back down! This is YOUR arena, you won't go down without one hell of a fight! “Tch! HRRRAAAAAAA!!!”

You raise your power to its absolute maximum, drawing out everything you've got as you blitz down towards the Destroyer once more. You're going to give this everything you've got!

“HAAAAAA!!” you roar, projecting a heavy right as you blitz the Destroyer. Who doesn't react, watching you as you approach. But right at the last second to make it work you swing early, flipping your entire body forward into a flipping axe kick with your right heel aimed at his collarbone. However, this time the God of Destruction doesn't block, instead drifting a few inches to his left, narrowly avoiding your strike. Which you use the momentum of your miss to twist clockwise, channeling all that force into a heavy left haymaker. “HRRAAAA!!”

But again the Destroyer simply drifts out of the way, backing up a few inches out of range just as your fist sails past his nose. Gritting your teeth, you focus on the Su Ma style, converting the momentum of each miss into your next strike. Your missed left haymaker turns into a right roundhouse, then left overhand into a spinning right back kick, but Beerus dodges everything you throw at him. Then, as you throw a straight right, he front flips over your strike, kicking off your outstretched fist with a toe to flip softly over your body, landing on the ground behind you almost silently compared to the crowd's cheers. So, you decide to take a page out of your Daddy's fighting style, to try and catch Beerus by surprise.

“HAAAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, unleashing an Explosive Wave to try and catch the Destroyer by surprise. But your energy doesn't strike anything, the GoD most likely having gotten clear. But that was only to make space as you charge, gathering your ki into both hands as you kick off the ground straight into the air, flipping as you throw your arms together, energies mixing together as you prepare a Final Flash. Your power multiplies itself over dozens of times, the God of Destruction simply looking at you. He's barely tapped into his own divine power, his strength on a level you can barely comprehend. But you can sense him, which means you can do this! You can get one solid hit on him! “FINAAAAAAL!!”

Then, focused on the Destroyer's ki, use your Instant Transmission, closing the distance and appearing with your hands inches away from his chest. The cat man's ears twitch, his head turning down towards you as his eyes widen in shock, you unleashing one hundred percent of your power in this attack.

“FLAAAAAAAAAAAASH!!”

Your power explodes out from your hands, golden energy consuming the Destroyer before you in a flash of light. You give it everything you've got, your energy crashing against the godly figure. But, after a few seconds of hitting Lord Beerus directly, the sensation of your energy crashing against him changes. No longer is your energy pushing against him, but the energy hitting him simply vanishes. As if he's somehow DESTROYING your energy as it touches him!

You keep up the effort for several more seconds, feeling your energy draining away by the second. And, sensing that he's not going to be affected by your attack any more you end it, revealing the Destroyer is completely unharmed!

“Well now, that was quite the surprise. I hadn't expected that.” Beerus says, grinning as his menacing purple aura makes you feel sick, your feet wanting to run on their own away from the being before you. You've never felt such menace, even from Mechikabura or the Supreme Kai of Time when you've come face-to-face with them. “That was a clever little maneuver there. I must say, I am impressed. For a self-made god, you've learned to wield your power well. And, as a reward, I'll show you just a taste of the power of a Destroyer.”

The air around you then changes, his carefree attitude shifting as you can sense that he's about to attack. Whatever he's about to do, you have a feeling that it won't end well for you.

Well? What do you do to try and resist?
>Energy Body, try and withstand whatever he's about to do
>Rush and attack, try and press him and keep him on the defensive so he can't hit you
>Dash back and fire your ranged ki attacks, don't let the Destroyer get close

“I'm not done yet!” your daughter shouts, gold and azure aura blazing up around her as she leaps back from the Destroyer God. Gathering her energy into both hands she fires out a Scattershot from her left, then to your surprise one of your wife's Hellflowers from her right straight down at where the Destroyer'd been. The Hellflower detonates, firing thousands of Ki Needles in all directions in the smoke cloud obscuring the Destroyer as she raises both arms overhead, creating a massive attack similar to your own Event Horizon overhead. “HAAAAAAAA!!”

And with a roar she throws the tremendous orb down, the crowd chanting her name as she throws everything she's got left at Lord Beerus. But as the orb crashes down to the arena floor, you immediately realize something's wrong.

“What?!” you hear Chaya exclaim, a moment later realizing what she's shocked about: her massive orb is somehow disintegrating before your very eyes! “No way!”

To your and everyone with you's shock, the massive, destructive blast Chaya'd thrown is seemingly erased before your very eyes, disappearing into little motes of vanishing light, as if it'd never been. Then, before you can really process that, Beerus is flying where your daughter'd been, while she's shock still. A second later her divine aura simply vanishes, Chaya reverting to her base form as she falls out of the air.

“CHAYA!” you shout in panic, blitzing the arena and smashing through the energy barrier meant to shield the crowd from attacks, catching your daughter. You allow yourself to fall to the ground, knees absorbing the shock of the landing while you focus on your daughter, checking for a pulse. Heart pumping, it takes you a second to find it, but then you can feel it. She's alive!
“Worry not, Saiyan, I didn't destroy your offspring.” Beerus says idly, drifting down and landing a few feet from you. “I only wanted to test her power, not erase her. If I'd wanted her gone, there wouldn't be anything left.”

For a moment your fury blazes within you, but you force yourself to remain calm, taking a deep breath and slowly exhaling before addressing him.

“Thank you for sparing her, Lord Beerus. Had something happened to her, I don't think I'd have been able to control myself.” you say, the god actually laughing at this!
“Ha ha ha, I think I would like to see your power unrestrained, Saiyan.” Beerus says, a dangerous glint coming to his eye. “You say that like I should be afraid of you, and not the other way around. Perhaps a demonstration is in order?”

“I have no doubt you could kill me.” you reply, forcing yourself to remain calm. Nothing good can come from losing your temper with the Destroyer now. After all, when you unleash the true power of your Berserker strength, you probably won't be in control anyways. At least for a time. “And you'll get to see me cut loose later, once the Super Saiyan God ritual is done. When I achieve that next level, I won't be in control of myself at all. I've tapped into just small pieces of that power before and wasn't able to reign in that anger. When I use the ritual to give you the fight you want, all I ask is that you keep me from accidentally hurting the others while transformed.”

“Don't you worry about that, I have no intentions of hiding behind mortals from whatever strength you'll unlock with this ritual you keep talking about.” he answers dismissively. “But for now, I believe that it's time for you to show me your power.”
“You're right. Just one moment though.” you say, telepathically reaching out to your daughter Caulifla, who flies over. She takes her smaller sister in her arms, flying back to everyone else while simultaneously muttering the words of her healing prayers. As she does, you notice Beerus watching Caulifla's flight, no doubt sensing the divine nature of her healing magic as well. “HRRRAAAAAAA!!”

With a roar you power up to a hundred percent power in your Ascended Berserker form, letting your aura blaze wildly around you a moment before taking your fighting stance before him, drawing your ki in and forming your Energy Body around you. You can't sense the Destroyer's energy, but every instinct in your body is warning you not to underestimate him, not for a single moment.

“What's this? It looks like General Karn of the PTO has now challenged Lord Beerus after his daughter's defeat!” Dallas calls out, the crowd's cheers growing even louder. “What an unexpected turnaround, this is going to be quite the show!”
“Will you be facing me alone, and make me fight each of the different Super Saiyans one by one?” the Destroyer asks, a hint of annoyance in his tone. “Or, if you prefer, you could all fight me at once and save me some time.”

Well?
>You want him one-on-one, to show him your power both now and after your transformation later

“If that is your wish, we can accommodate you.” you tell the destroyer, then turn to where you'd flown in from. “Everyone who has a power greater than Super Saiyan, come on over. Lord Beerus wishes to test us all at once!”

The crowd murmurs in confusion at this, watching curiously as King Vegeta, Leyas, Sarada, Broly, Meloka, Bardock, and Tunnip all fly over, everyone landing by you. As one they ALL transform, everyone surging up straight into their final forms. Meloka and Tunnip go Super Saiyan 3, Bardock and King Vegeta go Primal, Leyas and Sarada go Primal Demon, and your son Broly transforms into his Primal Berserker form. As everyone in the crowd cheers, ready to watch a fight like none of them have ever seen, King Vegeta starts issuing orders.

“Karn, Broly, you two rush in first. Leyas and Sarada, go in from the right. Bardock and I will attack from the left.” he orders telepathically, everyone spreading out. “Meloka, you and Tunnip go from behind, try and catch him off guard once we've all closed in. Everyone ready?”
“Ready.” you all reply telepathically, the Destroyer before you grinning. No doubt sensing that your plan is made.
“GO!” King Vegeta shouts, and the battle begins.
“HRRRAAAAA!!” Broly roars, you and your son both rushing directly at the Destroyer. You and your son draw opposite fists back, you drawing your left as your son to that side draws back his right, the two of you swinging your fists together at his chest with a roar. “HAAAAAAAA!!”

Side by side your fists swing for his chest, your hands combined even larger than the Destroyer's torso. But, to your surprise, he raises his left hand, stopping yours and Broly's fists with his thumb and pinkie! It feels as if your fist hits an immovable wall, despite all your power you are unable to even so much as budge the God of Destruction with your strike. But as you and your son draw your fists back, readying to attack, the demonic twins blitz the Destroyer from the side, Leyas swinging with a heavy left hook at Beerus's head while Sarada fires a low turning kick aimed at his hips.

“Oh.” Beerus says, sounding unenthusiastic as he raises his right, catching Leyas's strike with his hand while raising his knee to block Sarada's strike. Then, as Vegeta and Broly rush from the other side, Beerus turns, swinging Leyas like a club into the King, dropping both to the ground with enough force to obscure them in a pillar of dust. Leaving his side exposed, which you immediately attack.

As the Destroyer's focus is on the downed king and his improvised club weapon, you twist, planting your feet and throwing a right uppercut at your guts with the full power of your legs, arm, and back combined. But right as your fist is about to connect, the Destroyer's body moves. He twists away from your strike, rolling his entire body clockwise while swinging Leyas around, whipping him towards Meloka and Tunnip. Who both aren't ready, the much larger Saiyan slamming into them both and sending them flying. But the way Beerus moves, it seems unnatural. Just like another fighter in the Time Patrol you fought once before.

“RRAAAAAA!!” Bardock bellows, swinging with a heavy right that the Destroyer front filps over, kicking the Primal Saiyan on the back of the head and sending him flying, crashing into Sarada and launching the two of them away as his feet touch back on the ground. But as he does, Broly leaps over you, swinging both fists down in the single heaviest strike you know at the God's head. But Beerus, without looking, reaches up and catches your son's combined fists in one hand, throwing him towards Bardock and Sarada as he turns back to you, grinning smugly.

“Dont' tell me this is the best your people have to offer? I'm starting to have my doubts about your so-called hidden strength, and this Super Saiyan God as well.” Beerus taunts, but you aren't goaded into rushing forward recklessly so easily. You inch closer, maintaining your fighting stance as the two of you stare off, but then to your surprise he's just GONE. You blink, then feel a strike to the back of your neck, nerves blazing at the sudden agony.
“GRRRRAAAAAAAAA!!!” you roar, letting your sudden surging rage at the pain explode, shattering your Energy Body as you spin around.

“What?” Beerus says, clearly shocked that his strike didn't down you like it had everyone else. You swing first with your right, then your left, the Destroyer not even trying to block but instead dodging your heavy blows. But with every movement agony you press on, rage fueling you as you fire off a barrage of heavy blows. However, despite your strength, not a single one connects. Beerus evading everything until he flips over your outstretched arm, barely kicking off the back of your fist to knock you off balance while he flips over your head. Planting your feet you slide to a stop, spinning to see Beerus isn't even looking at you anymore. So you draw everything you've got into your right fist, hand glowing and vibrating with barely-restrained emerald power as you hop towards him, swinging down with everything you've got.

But at the last second Beerus turns, catching your ki-clad right fist in his own right hand, your energy exploding on contact. Everything disappears inside that flash of light, the force nearly blowing you away. However, you're held in place by the Destroyer's hand gripping yours, not letting you get away. And as the smoke from the blast starts to clear, you see that your attack didn't so much as scuff his clothes.

“I must say, you're quite something.” Beerus says, looking you over with renewed interest. “For you to still be standing, much less fighting after I struck that nerve cluster is quite something. You've impressed me, Saiyan.”

But then his expression darkens, eyes narrowing as he speaks in a lower, more dangerous tone.

“Since you don't want to go out the easy way, we'll do this the hard way.” the Destroyer says, your instincts suddenly warning you that you have to escape, to get as far away as possible because you're in danger. The God of Destruction then starts squeezing down on your hand, pressure increasing exponentially by the second until you cry out in pain, dropping down to your knees.

“GYAAAAAAH!!” you cry out in agony, wincing against the pain but refusing to shut your eyes, trying to keep your focus on the being before you to try and defend yourself. Even down on your knees you two are at eye level, Beerus smirking as he starts raising his left hand. You try and bring your own left up, the destroyer increasing the pressure and forcing your entire body to bow backwards in agonizing pain. He then places his left hand on your chest armor, and with what looks like seemingly minimal effort presses his hand to you. And instantly your armor shatters, the wind knocked from your lungs as you're sent flying backwards. The pain is so overwhelming that you don't even feel yourself hit the wall, everything black before you ever feel yourself stop.

You then feel a rush of something warm and soothing in your chest, eyes snapping open to find yourself back on New Salda. Specifically, back just outside your old ship, Caulifla looking down on you with a face full of concern.

“Daddy, are you awake?” she asks, you reaching up and cupping her face gently. She sighs out in relief, grabbing your hand with her own and pressing your hand tighter to you.

“Hey kiddo. What happened? How did we...?” you ask her, trailing off as you see the Destroyer's upside down face peering at you curiously. “Lord Beerus?”
“My apologies, Saiyan. I seem to have hit you a bit harder than you could take, and caved your chest in.” Lord Beerus says casually, walking around you to stand by your feet as you sit up, your daughter helping you from your right while Meloka helps from your left. “But it seems that you're now right as rain, so, no hard feelings, right?”

And, to your surprise, the God of Destruction himself offers you his hand. Which you reach up and accept, you using the Destroyer's grip to help pull yourself back upright.

“Of course.” you reply, the God nodding before letting go, taking several steps back. You look around, and notice that everyone's gathered and ready. This is it, once you start this ritual there's no going back. But right as you're about to speak, suddenly your stomach growls audibly, the Destroyer's ear twitching at the sound. “Hey, Lord Beerus. Before we start, before my wife and I go through the rituals, would you mind joining us for a meal? It would be my honor.”

“A meal? Well, I suppose fighting on a mostly-empty stomach won't do, will it?” Beerus asks, then turns to his assistant. “Isn't that right, Whis?”
“Of course, Lord Beerus.” the servant says, then adds. “After all, King Cold lent the Saiyans the services of Silver, one of his top chefs in addition to that ship.”
“Wait, SILVER's the one going to be cooking?” Why didn't you say so earlier!” Beerus the Destroyer says excitedly, turning from Whis back to you. “Lead the way Saiyan!”

Honest question: After this, who would have beef with us and the balls to get active about it? The only kinds I can think of are ghosts and other deities that have business standing next to Beerus. Come on, imagine witnessing Karn, one of if not THE strongest Saiyan alive duking it out with THE DESTROYER and (hopefully) living to tell the tale. How could you fuck with him? Because if you go after his friends instead you just die to a frame 1 heavy attack from MEAN and GREEN.
>>
>>5708067
Darkseid is probably gonna watch the match on Pay-per-View and decide he still wants to throw hands.
>>
>>5708067
Who indeed. You know OOC that Nefarious has one final scheme, and there's of course the Time Patrol and Darkseid. The Lantern Corp will want to avoid notice, as do the Galactic Patrol. The Thanagarian empire will be in talks with the PTO to form a nonaggression pact, not wanting their empire crushed.
>Come on, imagine witnessing Karn, one of if not THE strongest Saiyan alive duking it out with THE DESTROYER and (hopefully) living to tell the tale
To be fair, the universe just saw the Super Saiyans, the strongest fighters in the universe, ALL get clapped easy by Beerus. But they also saw Karn, unlike everyone else except Chaya, take a single hit from him and stay standing.
>>5708071
Darkseid absolutely wants to throw hands again, to crush the Saiyans' pride and turn them into his loyal soldiers.
>>
>>5708076
Not only did Karn take two hits to get put down, he took two VERY big hits. Probably even harder than the ones Chaya took. I can only imagine how people are gonna take that information. The strongest gladiator in the Dreadzone, who has made a habit of beating deities took two mighty wallops to put down, using her full power. Then her dad rolls up, also takes two big smacks, and he explicitly wasn't going all out.

And then you realize if his kids are anywhere near as bad a dude as him, there's tons of them. Truly a sobering evening.
>>
>>5708076
If the Thanagarians were smart, they'd start exporting some of that Nth metal in exchange for military aid from the PTO.
>>
>>5708096
>and he explicitly wasn't going all out.
But was in the form most recognize him in, one they thought was his strongest until the battle with Lobo.
>>
>>5708112
Well he also said just before the bout that he couldn't really cut loose, which is what I'm basing that on. Rather than identifiability. It's like the whole trope when some dude gets beat up and mentions their master won't stand for this in a kung fu movie. It just makes you want the second act.
>>
>>5708098
They know their worth, that’s for sure. And how poorly their warriors compare to the Tamaraneans, much less the Saiyans.
>>5708118
>It's like the whole trope when some dude gets beat up and mentions their master won't stand for this in a kung fu movie. It just makes you want the second act.
Oh absolutely. You bet your ass the ENTIRE Dreadzone audience is waiting for what’s coming.
>>
>>5708124
>And how poorly their warriors compare to the Tamaraneans, much less the Saiyans.
Well it's nothing to be ashamed of. Saiyans are just fucking freaks with their innate Ki projection and gravity adaptation.
Thankfully the PTO has a (hopefully) mass produced solution to underperforming infantry!
No seriously, how's that power armor coming along?
>>
>>5708125
>No seriously, how's that power armor coming along?
It was abandoned for underperforming, the research and prototypes sold off to Vox to try and make it viable and worth the resource cost. Meanwhile, the space suits have seen considerable improvement, but aren’t ready for even the average Saiyan’s prolonged use. But for Freeza’s usual soldiers on his own ship, he’s got two score fully stocked in case the ship’s exterior is damaged or he encounters trouble deemed unworthy of his personal attention.
>>
>>5708131
how about the covenant weapons, shielding, and active camo
>>
>>5708131
What are Freeza and co doing now, surely they either saw the fight or sensed us all powering up. Just curious if Freeza will be able to make it before the ritual starts.
>>
>>5708131
That's disappointing, but not surprising. At least the EVA suits panned out.
Also on the topic of random questions, what's Kakarot up to now?
>>
>>5708239
Power armor was always going to be kind of useless for people like Saiyans who can very easily grow exponentially in strength.

Unless you made it use their ki as a multiplicative fuel source. Of course, then you need materials strong enough to survive that kind of force. It's a whole thing. Need a Gero to pull off that kind of wacky shit.

Some of the weapons platforms have been implemented, far better than the old blaster tech. And the shields have been adapted in certain places. But officially the active camo pieces were all destroyed.

Oh Freeza most certainly saw. The Cold clan has been in an emergency family meeting ever since Kars told King Cold that Beerus was on the move.

Yes, they may prove useful down the line. Once they’re made durable enough for an average Saiyan nowadays.
Training.
>>5708291
The problem is they don’t scale, and increasing the user’s strength doesn’t also boost speed comparably. Sure you could make a grunt as STRONG as canon Cui, but the speed difference would justmake the armor a sitting duck.
Requiring the user’s ki then makes the suits even more prohibitive, as then they’d only work to slightly enhance the already strong’s ability, not boost the army up as a whole.

Some have been pretty surprising, like the 1 that resulted in King Vegeta’s awakening.

Dad rolls have been exceptional

Next time we see Kakarot he better have broken the limit and gone beyond SS3. Yes, I'm implying that from all these time skips he got SS3 but wouldn't be settling for just the same power as his brother previously had.

>>5708383
Hey GD, I was thinking about some of the lesser known Super Saiyan variants and a few questions came to mind.
If I remember correctly, at least one Saiyan in this timeline managed to wield the full might of the Super Saiyan transformation without actually transforming. Ya know, something like pic related.
What are the pros and cons of this pseudo-transformation?
Could the method be applied to higher transformations as well?
Is the Wrath State technically the same thing, just applied to Great Ape instead of Super Saiyan?

Going to try and have the Meloka pastebin out this evening, give everyone time to read over it before Saturday and to correct any mistakes you all notice. You’re not ready for Meloka’s Disrupting Energy Shell, or her Warding Eyes variants.

>>5708403
He’s been working hard, but not towards 3.
>>5708469
Meloka had, at one point.
Pro is that you don’t burn the energy/stamina needed to transform, but the downside is it puts a near equivalent Kaio-Ken strain on the body equal to the level you dive into.
If one were immortal, or regenerated fast enough to offset the damage perhaps.
Yes and no. It’s a great way to conceptualize the form, and for all intents and purposes that understanding is functionally good, but it is slightly different.
>>
>>5708595
>He’s been working hard, but not towards 3.
Skipping straight to Primal like his father?
>>
>>5708636
>Skipping straight to Primal like his father?
Yes but Bardock in this timeline achieved 3. He just gave it up to focus on mastering Golden Oozaru instead.
>>
>>5708775
That makes me wonder why Meloka decided to acclimate to Super Saiyan 3 like she did as opposed to trying for Primal.
Was she just more focused on sharpening her External Ki Control at that point or is there something else I'm missing?
>>
>>5708840
Maybe she just wants to master everything she has before moving on. Could be a completionist type.

Because she wasn't able to, well, you may remember what happened when she would transform in and out of her transformed state.

She's certainly been mastering something, this move list is mostly deviations of a few certain skills.

Alright after reading that Pastebin I am exceedingly worried for Beerus' safety.
Jesus fucking Christ Meloka.

You lied to me, you said Meloka could do Ultra SS3 and a 3.5 form
>>
>>5708886
She's been mastering her chosen style.
>>5708900
She still can, but hasn't used anything more than Super Saiyan 3 in years. I did clean up her transformations area, removing a bunch of less-used forms as after Saturday she's never going to use most of them again.
>>
>>5708902
I guess, but I would've like to at least reminisce since for us this would be the first time actually seeing the description before saying farewell. At least tell me what you named the 3.5. Because I know you're better to not just admit defeat and take the Full Power crown.
>>
>>5708941
That’s fair, you should at least get the name. After Super Saiyan 3 she did achieve Ascended, then Ultra, and finally Mastered. But then she discovered a power even further-er beyond. However, she hadn’t fully tapped into whatever was beyond, not truly achieving a form past 3, hence a “3.5” moniker for it. She had been tentatively calling it “Hyper 3” until abandoning that line of training. After all, there’s no need to push on a transformation tree when you’ll be learning something in a completely different power scale soon. Meloka judged it better to master energy control instead, then when she did obtain divine power would be more ready to handle it properly. Which is one reason she’s been training with Chaya to detect and sense divine ki for the past several months

>>
>>5709007
Yes, she’s dangerous.
>>5709014
There’s an in-universe reason for that. Go back to Goku and Vegeta talking after Buu appeared before they joined the fight. That’s the ‘surface’ of Buu’s power
>>
>>5709142
I just checked the pastebin and holy shit, Meloka's kit is INSANE. Makes me wonder if she could've solo'd Buu by now
>>
>>5709191
She’d certainly overpower Buu. It just becomes a question of stamina, if she could wholly erase Buu’s body or not and do so before running out of power. Also one skill I know I missed that she picked up from Cell I need to add tonight
>>
>>5708977
I'm interested in seeing non-Primal SSJ4, I wonder if anyone else will go for it, or if it will be an unrealized What-If.
>>
>>5709482
Who knows? Having Meloka not pursuing it will certainly slow anyone else doing so as she’d made the furthest progress.
>>
>>5708977
Damn God Power essentially ruined what could've been a nice little showing of what lies beneath the surface without going toward the primal route. Karn Jr. is probably the only one who has the capability to actually fully tap what lies beyond, but I'm not holding my breath.
>>
>>5709737
Meloka's rival-turned-friend Tunnip may uncover that power one day, Karn Jr could always achieve the same thing as well with his incredible potential. Tatsu and Tomi, or more specifically Tomitsu, should they all choose that route, would have the easiest time unlocking such a from however.
>>
>>5709737
It just doesn't sound all that worth it to pursue, especially if you have a tail to be a glittering great ape. Super Saiyan 3 seems like the dead end for the basic Super Saiyan skill. Unlike its predecessors, the stamina drain is so large as to be unwieldable by even Goku because its a form that was purposefully made to maximize power output akin to second and third grade super saiyan at the cost of stamina, and you KNOW how ass those forms are compared to full power/ grade 4 super saiyan. If there's anything to go off by the great ape cameo in the form's first transformation sequence, it's just the poor man's super saiyan 4.
>>
>>5709773
Continuing off the power output thing: Super Saiyan 3 feels like an unnatural, forced transformation because of how its unlocked. Goku obtained the form by just pushing his power further in the otherworld for years and bruteforcing his body into a new transformation, which ate away at his stamina like crazy. The original Super Saiyan transformation was only realized after Goku went through an emotional and spiritual breakthrough, where his only goal at that moment was to stop the threat against all life and everything he stood for, which was Frieza. Same shit happened with Gohan in the Cell Saga too, when Gohan realized that Cell would kill everyone and everything before him. Super Saiyan isn't just achieved when you're mad as fuck and really strong, otherwise Vegeta's grumpy ass would've been a Super Saiyan before Namek. It's more like a moment of single minded focus where only one thing and nothing else matters. You can't want it, or just train for it. You would NEED it at a critical moment.

The point i'm trying to make is that Super Saiyan 3 is hot dogwater because it is so un-Super Saiyan on a conceptual level. I respect the hustle Meloka put into it, but that shit goes nowhere.
>>
>>5709773
While having a tail makes SS3 more valid and cuts the stamina burn considerably, it isn't an endurance form like Primal. I did like it conceptually and execution in the story, as it brought back the 'fighting on a timer' worry that Goku's Kaio-Ken did back in the Saiyan saga.
The big reason the Super Vegeta/Ultra Trunks forms were abandoned as the series progressed was because 2 was just straight better. But Vegeta didn't have 2 unlocked in the main series on his own even in the Buu saga, as the ONLY time we see the lightning in his aura is when he's Majin Vegeta. No other time in the pre-Super timeline until BATTLE OF GODS does Vegeta go SS2 in the anime, as evidenced by the complete lack of lightning in his aura in any shot in the show (unless Kai changed it). But in the manga he attained SS2 and could do it on his own after being Majin'd, as in the manga its SS2 Vegeta vs Kid Buu. Not sure if the animators just got lazy.
>>5709787
Three was a powerhouse on a timer, like Fusion in conception. Which is why a Fusion 3 fighter lasts no time at all, running out the timer^2.
It is not a good form. But it was a great form for what it was.
>>
>>5709797
I'ma tell you right now, the animators got lazy. It's why there are legendary debates like Gohan vs Dabura and what you mentioned Vegeta vs Kid Buu as to whether or not they were using SS2 or not. Vegeta already could go SS2 but even with that, he would still be largely weaker than Goku. This is why he needed the majin boost AND why Goku called him out for the act since it wasn't a big boost to close the gap between the two in SS2.

I swear if Toriyama had a lick of sense if not foresight, he would've used Majinfication for Vegeta to pull out SS3 and use SS3 as the form that exemplified the gap between the two and why Vegeta was having such a pissy fit.

>>5709787
>>5709773
I mean you're not wrong on both accounts, especially narrative-wise. But I'm going to say this, SS2 sucks for everyone who isn't Gohan. Hell, even Buu Saga Gohan's SS2 is hot dog water due to how much Toriyama didn't give a shit. You could tell with Gohan, Toriyama put a lot of effort into designing the form in the Cell Saga. Whereas in the Buu Saga, he just have them spike up more and added in lightning that he would on many occasions forget to add. Vegeta is only the second worst, though some can say it's worse than Buu Saga Gohan's SS2 and I wouldn't object to that.

Hell Kid Trunks and Goten never get SS2, unless we go GT. That's how much it matters to Toriyama. He even forgot it was a thing when BoG was in production and thought SS3 was SS2.
>>
>>5709847
>>
>>5709847
>as to whether or not they were using SS2 or not
That's why you always default to manga panels. But Vegeta does not show SS2 until he get Majin'd. The way I understood it is Vegeta did quit after Cell, sure he trained as a force of habit, but never attained 2. Then when Goku returns, having surpassed the wall too like his son, he realizes how far behind he's fallen and accepted the promise of power to rival his, well, rival. But Goku being Goku wouldn't stop at any level, constantly working to improve went beyond what anyone'd conceived as possible. But, since it was a form of desire and not need(presumably), it wasn't stable. But unlike Ultra, trading speed for power it traded longevity instead. Don't need to hold for hours a form that quadruples SS2's power, especially when doubling your power against an equivalent opponent allows you to near-flawless them.
At least with Goku his hair along his browline would change, most notably losing the largest bangs and leaving only the small ones at the side and the off-center one. But yeah, a man who abandoned the project in the 90s and picks it back up in 2010ish, TWENTY YEARS would forget a lot.
>>5709867
Gohan DIDN'T train, which was the whole point. Even not going 100%, by continuing to train Vegeta easily surpassed him. And, with half-Saiyans' muscles atrophying at an accelerated rate, their powers were moving in separate directions. If Gohan lost 30% of his base, and Vegeta doubled his own(which is a severe lowball, given power jumps in timeskips), he'd easily be stronger than Gohan's SS2 with only Super Saiyan.
>>
>>5709874
I could refer to the guidebooks which only prove my point, but only the biggest of nerds try to use those to win an argument. And they're often at times nebulous in actual canon anyway. Just look at Bra, Daizenshuu 7 say she was born one year older, but in Super's timeline, she is the younger one of the two.

Back to my counterargument. I took what I posted previously in pannels as subtle hints that Vegeta had achieved the next level. It's typical that Toriyama would not only make his villains as strong or stronger than the previous arc's main/final boss but would acclimate our heroes to a comparable, if not exactly the same level to sell the stakes and tension, within reason of course. Seven years of harsh training, especially the way Vegeta outlines it during his fight with Goku makes sense that he had achieved the true ascended state.

For a guy who's fanatical about his pride and his pursuit of strength, I don't think he would be content with just being stronger than Gohan as a Mastered Super Saiyan compared to Gohan's rusty SS2. Vegeta used Cell Gohan as the defacto measurement and wall to reach and overcome. It would say a lot if Goku's death DID cause Vegeta to no longer be a warrior and that's softness as a parent atrophied his drive and kept him from reaching his full, peak potential, unlike Mr. Training 24/7. But I take it Vegeta was just coping with himself as he pushed himself as hard as he could with his flawed training methods and Goku was just better trained overall. Hence why even as SS2, Vegeta would come off short by a wide margin.

Hell, the point where Vegeta gets upset at Gohan struggling with a Cell-level enemy (Another Nebulous argument on which Cell between Perfect and Super Perfect) only embellished and accentuate my overarching point. Though I will admit that Goku also gave an off comment saying Dabura is stronger than they originally thought, so it's safe to say he's at least SPC if not a smidge stronger.
>>
>>5709901
If Vegeta wasn't assured of his ability to win against Dabura he wouldn't begin strongly considering stepping over and taking over the fight from Gohan. It's a little disheartening to believe that a lot of people in the community think so little of Vegeta that he needed a Wizard's brainwashing doping technique to achieve a brand new form over just equaling Goku as an SS2. It sours the whole conflict between him and Goku as a majin, as well as his speech about admitting that Goku is better during the Kid Buu to fight. It's the quintessential primary thing that saves an otherwise laughable and insultingly pathetic showing of Vegeta and his mid-life crisis.

It's really sad how so many people have so little faith or respect for Vegeta to think that he could only achieve the second form cause he had been brainwashed and given doping from a space potato.

Then again, I can't REALLY fault that conception considering the aforementioned Gohan vs Dabura fight was horrendously half-assed to the point it's been a major argument on whether or not Gohan was using SS2 or not. Toriyama was burnt out and really not giving his 100%, hell I would argue he was at 45-55% most of the time. Only going full 100% when he was allowed to do what he liked most, which was pulling gags and character development.

So I can't really say that with all my points I'm a hundred percent right since Toriyama screw the pooch and made both sides of the argument have an equal share in the debacle. For better or worse. And it wasn't intentional.
>>
>>5709901
>but would acclimate our heroes to a comparable, if not exactly the same level to sell the stakes and tension, within reason of course
100% agree. What I’m saying is that Vegeta didn’t NEED to learn SS2, as his strength in mastering Super Saiyan the way gohan/goku had in the time chamber had surpssed Gohan’s own even with that higher form. With Goku gone he was the strongest, and without him to push Vegeta, to really light that fire of competition in his soul he wouldn’t push. Man even said he’d never fight again after Cell’s death, he was done. He even abandoned his armor, his warrior attire after Kakarot’s death, only donning it again once he had Goku back to surpass. Remember Yo son goku and his friends return? He’d gone back to his armor then as well, as he had purpose again.
>>5709921
>It's the quintessential primary thing that saves an otherwise laughable and insultingly pathetic showing of Vegeta and his mid-life crisis.
That was the entire point though. Vegeta, after years of peace and ‘going soft’, accepts a deal with the devil to attain the power he didn’t have, only for the faustian bargain to in the end NOT let him equal his rival, not even close. Which is why he was so mad about Super Saiyan 3 when he returned before fusing into Vegito. Vegeta sold his soul for power, willingly put a collar of servitude back around his neck and even that didn’t get him more than a quarter of his rival’s earned might. He HATED Freeza’s control over him, but willingly accepted another’s just so he could get his runback and ‘prove’ he was better.
>to think that he could only achieve the second form cause
No, no one thinks that he COULDN’T have. But that he DIDN’T. Had Goku lived, he would have most certainly pushed through that Barrier and even perhaps given us canon Super Vegeta 2 by the time Babidi shows up. But without Goku, what was the point? He was stronger than the androids, stronger than Piccolo, stronger than “strongest in the universe” Freeza, and then stronger than Gohan the actual strongest as well. Without a goal, without someone to overcome, Vegeta doesn’t grow dynamically.
>Only going full 100% when he was allowed to do what he liked most, which was pulling gags and character development.
Full agree. Buu saga itself really shows where Toriyama was mentally. One week he’d draw SS3 Goku vs Buu and Buu decapitating Babidi with a punch, the next Buu changing his face into Barry Kahn’s for a kiss gag.

QM UPDATES

Alright, have a bit of news and updates before posting the epilogue starring Meloka Wolbach. First, finished adding the missing techniques I knew I hadn't added before posting the Meloka pastebin, if there's anything obvious that I'm still missing let me know. Second, episode 200 is starting this coming weekend, but I won't be running next weekend as I'll be out-of-state on vacation with family. Will hopefully have the intermission for 200 out during that time, maybe, but if not, I'll have it the Thursday week after next. And now, time for kiddo pov epilogue!

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 199 Epilogue-

AGE 756, NEW SALDA

“GYAAAAAAH!!” your momma screams out in pain, pushing you to the point of tears as she tries to bring your new sibling into the world. Your father whispers something to her as she clutches onto his hand for dear life, the good old doctor man trying to help her from under the sheet over her.
'Focus on your breathing, yes good. You are doing well.” he says, but she can't be doing well at all. You walk over around the bed to the other side, your mother clutching onto the metal bed post. You then climb up onto the bed beside her, wrapping her in your arms and hugging her head.

“You can do it!” you try encouraging her, holding her tight. But as she screams out again, this time even louder it shocks you so bad you let go on reflex, falling backwards off the bed to the ground. “Waaaah!”
“Are you okay?” your father asks, but not immediately coming over to check on you. You stay where you'd fallen for a moment, stunned as you'd fallen onto your tail.
“I'm okay.” you call out, shaking off the momentary stupor from hitting your tail too hard and pushing yourself back up to your feet. “Daddy, can I go? I don't like seeing Momma hurt like this.”

“Of course.” he says, reaching out with his free hand towards the door, you hearing something clank in it. “Just walk up to the door, it'll open for you.”
“Thank you.” you say, turning to the door and running towards the door. But before you've left, he calls out after you. “Don't run off too far, don't leave the island, okay?”
“Oooookaaay!” you call out, running to the door. And, just as he said the door opens, sliding into the wall. You stand there and marvel at it a moment, but another painful scream from your mother sends you scurrying outside. As you run, the door sliding shut with a hiss behind you, you then realize that this is your first time you've ever been left alone in Grandpa and Grandma's house. And you have no idea where to go. “Uhhh, hello?”

But as you call out into the empty hallways, no one answers your call. You look left, then right, both curved halls empty, no voices answer. So, you decide to just walk to your left and start opening doors until you find someone to talk to. And with your mind made up you start walking, your new boots your Daddy'd gotten you last week from the funny-sounding blue hair man here on Grandpa's world making a loud sound with every step.
>>
>>5711345
“No wonder bad guys never sneaked up on Grandpa.” you say to yourself, stamping a foot three quick times, hearing the noise echo down the hall. “You couldn't sneak up on anybody here.”
“I wouldn't be so sure about that.” a man's voice says, you letting out a squeal and spinning around, raising your arms up in surprise. And, standing there is an old man with only one leg. He's got a wooden crutch under his right arm, grinning at you kind of like Grandpa does sometimes. “If you make noise when you step, you make a pretty poor assassin.”

“HAAAAAAA!!” you shout, clenching your fists and focusing on that golden power deep inside, drawing it out again. Golden light explodes from you as you take on Daddy's Super Saiyan power, then hold your arms in the right spots as Daddy does when he gets ready to train against himself. “Wh-Who're you? D-Don't try anything!”
“Right, my voice is more familiar than my face.” he says, taking a hobbling step back. “How about you come with me to the Mess Hall, see if that jogs your memory?”
“Mess Hall...” you repeat, then it comes to you! You know who this old guy is! “Mr. Silver!”
“Heh heh, that's right.” he says, adjusting his grip to lean over, ruffling your hair with his free hand as you grin proudly at how smart you are. “Come on, I need you to taste test something for me.”

“OKAAAAAY!” you exclaim happily, skipping and humming along to your mother's song as you travel with him. But, as you go, you think on what he said. And, sure enough, as he hobbles along, you realize that he's not making any noise. “Hey. How come your feet don't make any noise?”
“So, you noticed? That's because I was trained for a long time.” he replies, which only makes you even more curious.
“Can you teach me to do that?” you ask him, watching his foot and crutch not making noise as he walks along. To which he just laughs, shaking his head.

“No. I'm sorry, but I'm not a teacher.” he tells you, which sounds really sad for some reason. “Not for that.”
“Oh... Okay.” you reply, letting your mood drop a bit. But as the door he stops at opens, suddenly your nose lights up with smells. All sorts of delicious smells hit you all at once, stopping you in place as you drink them in.
“It tastes better than it smells, come on in.” he tells you, to which you snap out of it and rush inside. As the door shuts behind you he starts shouting what sound like names and orders, several “Yes sir”s coming back from behind the counter where all the smells come from. But then Silver turns to you, leaning in and whispering to you. “Want to come back into the kitchen?”

You feel your eyes widen, you'd never been back in the kitchen itself before! This is going to be fun!

“OF COURSE!”

“Heh, alright. But stick close to me, things can get a little chaotic in the back.” he cautions you, to which you nod seriously. You never got to go back into the kitchen before, so you're going to be on your very best behavior!
“Yes sir!” you say, giving him the 'proper' salute of Saiyans that Daddy'd taught you. He smiles at this and nods, you sticking close to his one leg and following him as he walks to the kitchen door. He casually knocks the swinging door open with his crutch, holding it open for you. Eyes wide open, you step inside, the wonderful food smells stronger than ever. But right as you start walking in, you can immediately tell something's wrong.

“What in the hell do you think you're doing?!” a woman shouts angrily, you watching a knife fly across the room from a woman with white hair's hands towards a man with red hair, who raises a wood board and stops the blade from hitting him in the face. Immediately two more follow, the other two knives sticking into the board beside the first, you turning to Silver to see what he's going to do. And see that he's ANGRY. But he doesn't shout, instead lets the door swing and taps his crutch against the ground. This time making a 'thunk' sound, everyone freezing in place. Even the scary pale woman, arm drawn back to throw another knife stops in place, the people all turning slowly towards him.

“Is this how you all conduct yourself when the boss's granddaughter shows up?” he asks simply, not raising his voice as they all stare at him. “Alice. What are you doing?”
“That moron Soma overcooked the meat!” she yells, pointing at him with the knife now. “He burnt it black as charcoal! Without it, the dish is ruined! We can't serve it like that!”
“I was trying to tell you I didn't burn it, I-” he starts, the pale woman, Alice drawing the knife back to throw. But as she's about to throw the knife, suddenly you sense magic power from Silver! And a hand of liquid metal rises up out of the ground, grabbing her by the wrist to keep her from throwing the knife. And, seeing he's no longer in knife danger, the guy, Soma, lowers but doesn't drop the board as he continues. “I didn't burn it, at least not all the way through. Sure the outside's cooked overdone, but the inside's what counts.”

“Hold on. You got the steaks Black and Blue?” Silver asks, a note of surprise in his voice. The girl's jaw drops, looking from Silver back to the redhead as he holds out a plate with a slab of burnt meat on it. The smell makes your mouth water, you wiping it on the back of your sleeve as Silver draws a fork off a nearby table and activates a small energy blade from his finger, cutting off a piece of the burnt meat. And the instant its cut open, the most delicious smell ever washes over you.

Its smell reminds you of when Momma Explosion-cooks dragon meat back home, but this meat doesn't smell like it came from a dragon. Dragon smells sharper, while this smells... Sweeter, like it was meat made with honey somehow. Silver takes the bite from his fork, eyes widening as he chews. Then, once the old man has finished he cuts another piece, nearly half the slab and turns to you, holding the fork with the meat out towards you.

“Here, want to try a bite?” he asks, and you can't resist. Without answering you jump forward, grabbing the fork to hold his hand still and take a big bite. As your teeth cut into the meat flavor washes over the inside of your mouth, eyes closing as you savor the taste. For a while, you lose track of what you're doing, only snapping out of it when the meat's gone, you just holding the empty fork Silver'd offered you. Looking up, he's looking at you as if waiting for you to say something. You look back, feeling nervous as you can feel the adults' expectations around you.

“Well? How was it?” the redheaded man asks, and you can't help but smile as you remember the taste of the meat.
“Do you have any more?” you ask excitedly, still holding the fork and feeling yourself drooling again but don't bother wiping your mouth on your sleeve this time, tail wagging side to side. “That was amazing! That tastes even better than the dragon steaks back home!”
“Sounds like your idea passes the test, Soma.” Silver says to the man, leaning down and ruffling your hair. “Now, everyone, back to your stations. We only have a few more minutes at most before they get here.”

“They?” you ask him, confused. “Whose they?”
“King Cold and his sons, Freeza and Cooler. As well as your own grandparents.” he says, but he doesn't look happy. “And the Destroyer too.”
“Destroyer?” you ask as everyone else gasps or shouts out in shock, seems everyone knows who this 'Destroyer' is but you. “Who is that?”
“Beerus the Destroyer is the strongest being in the entire universe.” Silver says, but you have your doubts. There's no way he can beat Grandpa, your Grandpa is even stronger than Daddy. He's the strongest in the whole wide universe. “And after he finishes fighting your Grandpa, King Vegeta, Chaya, and everyone else, they're coming here. So you lot better double time it, we don't have all day! Clock's ticking!”

“YES SIR!” the shout, wondering what someone stronger than Auntie Chaya, than King Vegeta, than even Grandpa would even look like? But no matter what sort of scary monster of big strong person you picture, you can't see any of them beating your Grandpa. No matter what kinda monster they are, he'd never ever lose!

>Meanwhile Karn's chest is palmed so hard his death-rattle sounds like a squeaky toy

I don't know why, but I love writing cavity-inducing sweetness of the innocent. First it was Chaya, now the granddaughter that carries that torch. Maybe being an uncle made me soft, who knows?
>>5711367
The innocence of childhood, thinking that your dad/grandfather is invincible. However, Karn has a habit of not losing when it really matters, so even his friends and adult children have the same sort of impression of him. Kind of like internet powerscalers thinking their childhood hero is just the best ignoring all evidence to the contrary.

to be fair when they do the god ritual thing i'm not sure how beerus will actually deal with that considering proper berserker 3 is extremely anti divine and at least on par with SSG minimum.
>>
>>5711395
Anti divine just means Beerus would have to really try to get Hakai to stick, along with his ranged attacks. Fists are still fists after all.
>>
>>5711405
All I'm hearing is that he's just as susceptible to a Grinder as anybody else.
>>
>>5711407
trying the grinder on beerus just means he will kills via headbutting.

Yes, if you’re strong enough. If your energy isn’t, it won’t do more than irritate him.

Be aware of your housecat's personal space, anons.

Rubbing Beerus’ fir the wrong way is a terrible idea. Unless you’re adorable then MAYBE you can get away with it.
>>
Also, just as a general notice, I’ll be saving the meal with Beerus before the real fight for the intermission, episode 200 we’re getting right to the action
>>
After reading through Meloka's sheet again, I have just one question.
Would Karn be able to learn Heaven's Blade? I think it would pair nicely with Djem-So and the Berserker line's constant energy generation.
>>
>>5711569
Could he? Of course. But its highly impractical and very likely to cause collateral damage, which is why Meloka rarely uses it herself. You only see it twice, once on lab-made Space Godzilla and the other on that random Covenant-summoned demon.
