Welcome back.

Rules are simple: Votes are tallied every hour, with whatever course of action being the most popular being the course of action taken. Write ins are encouraged and non-mutually exclusive votes will be combined if possible.

When a roll is called for, roll however many D100 are specified. 5- is a 'crit fail' and generally means something bad is about to happen. 95+ is a 'crit success' and generally means something good just happened. a 'crit success' trumps a crit fail. User input on both will be taken into consideration.

For a short summary for the new and to recap:

You are Alex. A newly minted trainer and camping enthusiast just starting out on your journey at the age of seventeen after your father lost his job in order to help pay the bills. On the road, you met Fie, the Fire Gym Leader, Gareth a novice Aura Guardian on pilgrimage and Holly, a runaway heiress using a pseudonym. You've also made enemies of Team Green a group of violent, radical activists looking to abolish pokemon training.

Last time, you trained, Rusty began to shed, Queenie won a battle and you got your arm burned while working at the gym.

"Hey, want to meditate?" You ask, calling over to Gareth.

"Sure, we could use a break anyway." Gareth agrees, recalling his Feebas, before releasing his Riolu as you release Nika and Blitz to join you.

You briefly instruct Blitz to sit and meditate with you before you both settle down and focus.

The aura comes easily and you can sense Queenie perk up nearly immediately as Blitz settles in.

"Don't try and heal yourself, if that's what you're thinking." Gareth advises. "You could just as easily make things worse."

"Alright, I'll just go get some burn salve later." You reply.

"That a much more sensible idea." Gareth agrees, before you're silent as you both focus on the aura and guide your respective pokemon with sensing it.

Queenie meanwhile, takes to flying around while you meditate, apparently energised by yours and Gareth's aura and ready to go again.

After about an hour, Gareth's watch chimes and you both stand and stretch.

"...Do you feel any different?" Gareth asks with a frown.

"A little less sore, but that's about it." You admit.

"Hm." Gareth says, stroking his chin, before shaking his head. "No, you weren't actively trying anything." He says. "Your body knows what it should be, so just meditating might be speeding up your recovery."

"Well that's handy." You admit.

"It is, but you're probably going to feel really tired in about an hour." Gareth warns.

It's only mid-afternoon.

"Well, I guess I'd better make the most of things now." You reply simply.

You step out and head to the break room and locate a first aid kit. A short dig through later and you've located some burn salve and with Gareth's help, changed your dressing to a more thorough one with the addition of more salve. Sure enough, the burn already looks less severe than it did before lunch.

"What now?" Gareth asks as you pack up.

"I'm going to keep training with Queenie." You reply.

"Yeah, I'm going to get to know Wattrel some." Gareth replies, before you head to opposite sides of the arena so as not to get in each others' way.

You decide to focus on Queenie's Special Attack and set up a few targets for her before having her use Fairy Wind on them.

She hits them pretty consistently hard, but towards the end of the hour, you start seeing a marked increase in just how hard from the force gauges built into them, as you start to feel that meditation session catch up with you as Gareth predicted.

It's all you can really do to congratulate Queenie and give her a treat before you all but collapse, only avoiding a face plant thanks to Gareth hurrying over and helping you stumble up to Fie's apartment for a break.

"See why I advised against meddling with healing just yet?" Gareth asks as he helps you into a seat before going to make a drink as Queenie settles on your head.

You wake up what feels like seconds later to see Cinder peering down at you curiously at a close enough range to be startling and if it weren't for Blitz keeping you pinned, you might very well have fallen out of the chair.

You're still tired, but you recall Blitz and lurch to your feet, before going to help Fie with dinner.

It's nothing complicated - meat and three veg - but that just means there's less to screw up.

It doesn't take long for everything to cook and shortly, you're eating and feeling marginally less tired.

When you're done, you wash up, before sitting down to another cup of tea courtesy of Gareth.

Also my parents kept travel journals where they detailed what they learned and how they cared for pokemon.
I just used the local library and sources on the net to fact check and note them down.
My mom is mostly skilled with ghost and bug types, dad with grass and fire types and both are good with poison types.
My moms Seviper is particularly nasty, saw it chase more than one troublemaker out of town and my dads Arcanine knows like 40 different moves and is probably better trained than canines used by special forces.

You start petting Fluffy while you watch TV.

Things are fine to start with, or so you think, until about five minutes later, he's bitten you.

It's more of a warning nip, quick and fairly gentle, with no lasting harm, but it gets the point across as you look at him, startled as he huffs and readjusts his position.

"He's still sore." Gareth notes helpfully. "It's probably a testament to how well you two get along he put up with you petting him for as long as he did." He adds, before the power cuts.

"Fuck's sake..." Fie grumbles as Cinder's wrists flare, casting a flickering glow through the room.

"Seriously?" You mutter, checking the number.

You don't recognise it, so you answer and hand up.

"Let's go to the security room first. Get an idea of if this is all there is to it or just the start."

"Fair." Fie concedes. "This way."

You head out of the basement, recalling a tired Queenie and Latias owing to the fact she apparently struggled with the door in the first place and follow Fie through the corridors to the security office, Sage and Cinder bringing up the rear.

The security system has just finished booting when you enter and Fie wastes no time in cycling the cameras.

As it so happens, there were a bunch of masked figures in black bloc trying to break in but the lights coming back on apparently sent them scurrying like roaches.

There are, however, plenty more ghosts that got in while the gym's wards were powered down.

"Right. You want to take the ghosts in the gym course or wandering through the staff areas?" Fie asks, clearly annoyed.

Fie's gym layout is a series of fire hazards. Literally - There's the campsite you usually hang around, a kitchen and an open fireplace in a living room, before her main arena.

Before you go in though, you take a moment to swap Rusty, Nika and Queenie out for Rascal, Syurm and Ayumi so you're not quite so limited in who to send in.

This taken care of, you head into the campsite and are almost immediately reduced to a coughing fit as poison smoke billows out courtesy of the koffing that is somehow in there.

You open the door, there's a blur of movement through the mocked-up kitchen and the cabbage smell of gas fills your nose as the blur resolves into a Purrloin, holding your belt, complete with most of your team.

It's a good thing you've still got Sage at least-

-Then the little bastard bolts right past you and back through towards the foyer.

You're way too tired for this shit.

You fumble for your pokedex as you scramble back after the Purrloin and thumb Fie's number.

++"Yeah?"++ Fie asks.

"Purrloin." You pant out. "Stole my belt and my team."

++Doors are locked, you've just got to corner it."++ Fie assures.

"Right."

"Sage, Light Screen! Block the door!" You order as Purrloin gets close to the door to the foyer - why didn't you close them after you?

In response, a barrier springs into existence pulling Purrloin up short and giving you the opportunity you need to retrieve your belt, inadvertantly yanking Purrloin around and hurling it back towards Sage in the process.

To clarify: 'catching' in this context has more to do with the fact you've got to round up and carry the wild pokemon up somehow.

Fie'll reimburse you later on this.

Unless you really want a Shuppet, Koffing and Purrloin.

Prankster Dark type.
If it's a girl we can see about having her learn Attract so we can chase down some stray Litten.

You're way too tired for this.

You throw a poke ball at Purrloin before it can escape and are rewarded when the ball clicks and vanishes.

There's only one room left to check in the course.

Going through the mocked up kitchen you come out into Fie's Gym arena...

Where you find a Gengar waiting for you.

Whether it's wild like the other pokemon and just took advantage of the break in the gym's defenses or someone's pokemon here for a more sinister purpose, you can't tell, but you're pretty sure this is the last one.

It better fucking be. It looks like a pretty formidable pokemon.
