The rhythmic motion of the drillorail had finally stopped when you had reached the end of the line: P-31 . The dome city of Feinuez had demolished most of these ancient tunnels when the resources in the victiny had dried out....or when it deemed to be too much of a risk for normal operations to resume. Still, Checkpoint P-31 got a few Therrblood veins worthy of extracting along with less important minerals.

You stepped out of the drillorail, eyes adjusting to the sanguine skies above. Life was cozy in the Dome City, you just had to fuck up it up somehow, what did you do to get relocated here in P-31?

>Your engineer harpy girlfriend got her feathery ass here so naturally you had to watch over her.
>Your FL are getting close to an undesirable levels, your superiors didn't want you to go feral inside the dome city.
>You had a dream. No idea if it is was the Scarlet Lords messing your head or something but you *had* to go to P-31
>You wanted to see some action! Shooting ferals right between their eyes is a dream!
>You are an undercover Cthaii agent here to investigate a possible demonic cult either here or in the nearby ruins

Beyond the safety of the Dome cities and their protected territories, danger lurked at every corner. Ferals were those who had succumbed to the Thirst , they would drain anyone to the last drop. The lands under the Sunless Gaze were teeming with these abominations. For the most part, they could be easily handled given enough manpower and bullets. Demons , on the other hand, they were a whole new breed of mayhem for their very presence was responsible of the endless corruption and the mangled horrors found under the Sunless Gaze .

" Scanning... " Right out of the Drillorail, you were greeted by a Cybe , a mostly emotionless androids powerd by Therrblood " Feral Level...1.4%, Registering...Welcome to Checkpoint and Mining facility P-31, Burden Deo "

"Uh huh." You nodded before taking your new ID card. It had everything needed for your cover up job. Well, It was technically your second job after you were imbibed with Vaultblood to learn everything about it back in HQ.

What was your second job?

>Combat Enigneer
You know your way around heavy machinery and light guns for emergency in case of a feral infestation

>Blood Tester
Your high resilience to the thirst had made you a very valuable member of the Mining team. You could assess the quality of any blood chunk better than any machinery

>Ark-Cybe
You make sure that all the Cybe are properly maintained. Plus, you are tech-wizz. Just don't use your hacking skills for something illegal.

>Guard
Yep, just partol the Mining grounds. Nothing to it really

>Sniper
Same as a guard but without all of that legwork

>Elverseer
Nothing is better than watching elven heads pop when they slack too much in their job. It is not your fault that most of their race is forever indebted to the Scarlet Lords.

As a Cthaii agent, what was your specialty?

>Purifier
Your blood can clear out demonic presence, a blessing from the Scarlet Lord themselves

>Virivi
You can sense the level of demonic corruption within an unsuspecting individual...or certain parasites.

>Feralist
You have surpassed your FL but you can still control your urges making you the perfect infiltrator in Feral and , by extension, demonic infestations with ease. No one is going to suspect you.

>Vermilion Shadow
You can hear blood echoes of the past. Every drop of blood has its story.

You always loved to hear these obviously fake number. Your actual FL is over 453% last time you checked. Of course, people like you had a dead switch implanted right under the cerebrum. One wrong move and pop! Off with your head. HQ did track your every move after 'recruiting' you...more like kidnapping you and turning you into their good little demon infiltrator through ruthless training with a sprinkle of experiments on the side. You couldn't be too mad since every Cthaii agent was forced into becoming one. Someone had to do this dirty job from behind the shadows to keep the public in total ignorant bliss.

Depending on the race, Ferals can have more advantages over their regular counterparts. Good thing you were a ....

>Human
Most common race in the Dome city. Nothing too special about you
Feral mode: You can shrug off minor injuries for a brief period. Some wounds will open back up when you revert to your normal form

>Privileged Elf
You are lucky to walk freely without a collar around your neck. Racism and discrimination is your bread and butter
Feral: Create blood copies of yourself for a short period of time. Must sleep for a full day to recuperate afterwards

>Warf
You are short and Ugly but with a majestic beard(s).
Feral: Enhanced strength, can carry anything ×10 your size. No downsides.

>Harpy
Your wings were clipped from birth for safety regulations. Heightened senses
Feral: Increased agility and reflexes, blood wings that can slice through steel like butter. Extreme urge to drink blood (from regular or illegal sources) afterwards

>Arche
The humanoid Spider meance. Direct decendant of the Scarlet Lords
themselves. Too many arms. Everyone respects/fears you.
Feral: None?
>>
>>5768230
>Human
Good for keeping a low profile and weathering anything short of injuries that would send us to the hospital.

If I understand correctly, we've surpassed the threshold where we'd already be considered feral. So, technically we always have the benefits and detriments of being feral active, right? I think Harpy is the best choice then, we get permanent enhanced reflexes and agility, anime sharp blood wings, and harpy is the only race with an 'urge', unless you count the urge to sleep for elf as an 'urge' for our feralist job to counteract.

>>5768230

Not quite, we can activate our feral form at will but as you can see, it has some detriments. As a Feralist, we can still fool the roaming feral population and a good chunk of demons while looking normal so to speak

For a human, you looked pretty good with a very toned body(thanks to your inhumane training ), short black hair and blue eyes. You almost looked photogenic if it weren't for the long scars across your left cheeks and neck from your first encounter with a feral. You considered changing the name given to you by the parents you had never met but your Blood-Tied and Mentor by the name of Karla liked it one the first day she took you under her wings...yes, that was quite literal. The Harpy had personally sent her best 'hatchling' to sniff out this possible cult before it would grow way out of proportions. You were her shears, her snip-snips.

RING-RING

"I literally just got my ID, Sheesh." You didn't bother to look at yout phone screen since you knew who you were talking to on a very secured line.

" And A Good Abnight to you too. How's the view out there?" Karla teased you a little with her usual sultry tone " You missed your tasty Negatives on your desk, I even packed them for you in a cute bunny blood bag!"

"Take a wild guess. I wonder why I didn't take them?" You rolled your eyes " What do you want?"

"Ohh, nothing just reminding you that you have about three weeks to nib our little problem from the bud before a very unfortunate tunnel collapse will cut off P-31 from the rest of Feinuez. The lives of 104 personnel depends on your findings. No pressure~"

" Hey, I don't make them rules." Karla shrugged your reasonable request " Go on, make me proud. Oh, right! You will find a little surprise in your assigned room, happy birthday!"

CLICK

"...birth..day?" You were befuddled momentarily. With some many underhanded jobs to take, you forgot your own birthday. If someone in the world would keep track of such a silly date, it would be definitely Klara. Too bad she ended the call before you could reply.

" M-Mr. Burden?" All of this time, a collared elf in a really cheap red tattered suit and a cracked hard helmet was waiting for you to finish your phone call. Yeesh, the girl was a walking wreck: unkempt green hair, clipped ears, creamy skin sullied by the excessive Usnblood abuse leaving glowing red cracks in her skin and emerald eyes. Very malnourished too.

"Who are you?"

" I am Deleth your p-personal assistant... and portable reserve for class J postive blood." It was very clear that your employers didn't have a privileged elf for the newest Blood Tester on site so they just slapped some poor girl instead on the job calling it a day. For her, it was quite the promotion instead of her forced labour in the mines. Still, She was scared shitless from you AND the Elverseer watching you both from an elevated platform. By the looks of it, He was a fat fuck... a Warf? Yep. A Warf.

"Show me your hand."

"Y-yes, Mr. Burden." The green haired elf had extended her petite right hand for you to gently sink your fangs in just to draw a decent mouthful of blood. Your Blood Tester skills were getting challenged for the first time...

Rancid, Risible, Revolting, Bitter, Tasteless, Thick, Sickly.... Peculiar?

1.5/10

-A living insult to the Scarlet Lords.

Your disapproving glare wasn't really that much of a surprise. The Warf had scrapped the bottom of the barrel for a serving of ...well, pure shit. You drank better blood in the Slugaways for crying out loud.

The Warf turned his back on you when a Cybe had some paperwork for the Elverseer. Yeah, you and him were going to be fast friend, 100% Guaranteed.

" I am sorry, Mr. Burden. I know my blood isn't up to your standards..." Deleth didn't dare to meet your gaze. Her eyes were glued to her oversized high heels instead.

"Don't sweat it. In my line of work, we are all snob assholes." You tried to cheer her up but she focused on her banged up black briefcase pulling out some hand written notes from it "W-would you like to go for a tour, Mr. Burden?"

>Not really, feelin' pretty tired after a 15 hour drillorail ride. Show me my room.

>Well, Deleth, If you are going to be assistant, I want you to be at top shape. Let's go to the infirmary. Leave the talking to me... I will take care of your ...lack of privileges.

It's a choice between this or getting intros out of the way for me. I like this option because of the potential for improvement of our blood sac's quality, and to help get our assistant on our side. Pretty important to have a reliable errand runner. And it's just a nice thing to do. I don't think it'll be pushing our position too hard, we may be just human but someone in our position should at least be able to get some healthcare for our blood supply.

"Mr. Burden, I don't to trouble you with-"

"Deleth, my girl..." You leaned forward which made her shiver for some reason " This isn't really about you. You will hurt my image in your sad state."

"O-okay. Do you want to turn on this E.S.P, Mr. Burden?" Asked the mostly earless elf anxiously.

"Hmm? Nah, keep it off. I don't want your head to pop off when you run some errands for me. Let's go." Your ID had a small digital interface for a lot of functions, one of which was to active the elven space maintainer ensuring that Deleth wouldn't stray too far away from you. Not needed like at all.

=================

P-31 was sure a large facility with a lot of open spaces. This was a pain in the ass to walk like ten minutes from one building to another but said preplanning had a purpose: to make it harder for ferals ( or demons) to overrun the place. It was a much better alternative to having if a single centerlized building.

The infirmary was built right next to the entrance of the quarry where all of that sweet Celestial blood was getting mined since most of the injuries should arise from work related accidents. It was simple one storey building heavily protected by two snipers towers and three different patrols. Not surprising given the importance of the medical supplies within.

"The clipped stays outside. Might infect the good doctor with some of her shit." A beefy harpy had blocked your way, his trigger finger was itching for action.

"..." Deleth stared at the red gravel beneath her heels when a tear drop had slipped from her eyes landing inbetween the armoured boots of the guard. She knew her place in this world and yet the elf couldn't fully hide her overwhelming sense of oppression and helplessness. As for you, you were mostly indifferent of the elven plight....the Scarlet Lords wouldn't have punished them if they didn't deserve it. No one knew *why* the elves were subjected to this eternal punishment though.

You looked at the harpy straight in the eyes. Something had to be said or done.

The pendulum of sanguine fate is swinging....

>Wait outside, Deleth. I will be right back [Enter the infirmary]
>My assistant is giving me a tour. Do you mind fucking off ? [show him your ID]

May as well try. Hopefully our status will be enough, doubt it though. Guards gonna guard. If we can't get her in then I guess there isn't a problem with going inside alone, so long as the doctor doesn't need the less portable equipment inside to help her. Though the guard's statement implies the doctor won't even see her, which just won't do. In that case, I'd be willing to bribe the both of them to get this sorted out.
>>
>>5769385
>>5769419

The guard inspected the card as if you had a fake one on you before begrudgingly stepping out of the way " word of advice: don't fuck up like the last guy. Miss Dorr doesn't like to waste her time with clotstains."

" I will keep that in mind, thanks." You gave him the yellowest of smiles as you were embraced by the stench of blood thinners, sickly blood and everything inbetween upon entering the infirmary. Hoof, the ventilation system here sure sucked. You instinctively coughed from a certain pungent smell in these dirty hallways...what was it?

" Any Idea who is Miss Dorr?"

" She is a the Director of this facility...a very strict person even by Arche standards. Urm, sorry Mr.Burden."

"Nah, It is alright. I deal with tough bitches all the time." Your slip was even worse than hers.... better watch your mouth. Anyways, Two human nurses were waiting for you at the reception. The duo were busy flipping through channels only to get a very loud static instead. Very shitty reception by the looks of it.

" Hey, looking for the doc, my assistant needs some treatment."

"Huh?" The fatter nurse sized you up with a quick glance " He is in the morgue, third room on the right."

"Thanks." You left the two and went straight for the Morgue which was never good news. Before you opened the door, you could hear a very sad tune on the other side.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=E9RCNUFrsbE

CRUNCH

DRIP-DRIP

"...!" Deleth had quickly swallowed her gasp upon seeing the mess before her...a towering Arche was arms deep into the abdominal cavity of a very dead elf woman Each arms of his had either a bloodied organ or something sharp. Since you had seen death so many times so you focused on the source of the tune instead. Ah, just his oversized phone. Part of you was hoping for an antique music player or something, oh well.

"Hmmm, wasn't expecting any visitors today. I had my share of elves for a day..." His single free arm pointed at two sets of legs peaking out of the mortuary fridge.

"Well, I-"

" Do you know what is really fascinating about elves?" The Arche didn't mind interrupting you while stitching back the deal elf " Two seemingly useless cervical glands. They release a hormone called Elthofyroxin which doesn't affect a single system in their bodies. Nothing. Don't you find it a bit strange too?"

" I am not here to discuss elven biology, doc. My assistant needs some help, She got some Usnblood in her system. Need some De-Tox." You went straight to the point as rude as it might sound "Oh and I am the new Blood Tester guy, Burden."

" I see." The Arche washed his eight arms first before approaching you two. You felt like a kid compared to the twelve eyed doc. He took a good look at your ID as he sniffed air for one reason or another.

"Well, Mr. Burden, any good miner worth two pints of quality blood here will tell you that I , Yaqesiro don't waste supplies on minor diseases that doesn't affect the overall productivity of this facility. I am here to save lives not to fix the Elverseer's broken toys. You won't starve to death, Mr. Burden. Find a better source of blood elsewhere."

"H-how did she... die?" Asked Deleth while her eyes were fixated on the dead girl on the morgue stable.

" Isn't it obvious? " His hairy hands caressed the right side of the dead body where dozens of blue pustules were visible " Jidix poisoning . The worm's sting is a death sentence for most races.. shouldn't have mined in rotten veins."

"Back to the point," Your patience was running thin " Is there anything we can do so she can get the De-Tox?"

" I suppose you can help me with retrieving the fourth body somewhere in Zone A-3 . Chief of security is too lazy to get his men to work for once and I need my 500 Nopz bonus with a full set of bodies in the morgue. Don't care how you are going to bring her, just do it before she will be full of worms.. a day or two from now at best."

"Doc, I am just a Blood Tester. I shouldn't go on field or underground surveys that much."

"Oh, I am sure that you are a very busy man but nothing is free in this world...unless you are willing to give me a blood sample? Just to confirm something... "

CheckpointQM, how is our FL determined? Could be verify our real FL through a blood test? I'm gonna assume so for now and vote to do the mission, though I wouldn't be adverse to just straight up leaving. Also, how much money do we have? I assume that we'd have a lot of bribe money on hand as a Cthaii agent, but I guess that'd be too much to hope for.

>I will figure out something to get the last girl back. Maybe... [Accept Mission: Worm Food. Tentatively, indifferently, noncommittal.]

Express our interest and intent, but make no promises. If he's gonna hamper us in such a simple way then I have limited interest in doing busywork for him. We're an infiltrator, not a fighter. We very well may have better or more important things to do once we're introduced to everyone and our job.

Still, if we are gonna be getting into danger and doing busywork for people in exchange for favours then it would be nice to be on the only doctor's good side. That human feral ability won't do us any good if we are refused adequate service once we actually make it to the doctor.

Cthaii agents have a blood bag in the arm for when someone wants to test your blood for FL. Get our assistant to draw it under our guidance.
>>
>>5769631
FL is quickly determined via Cybe scan, a more accurate result is determined by a full blood picture but it is much slower, takes about a day. As for money, let's leave it ambiguous for the time being. Let's just say that we that can cover any expenses until the end of the day. It would make sense later.

"Great. I will be waiting for one Reiel Xeth Anything else?"

"About those worms..." You had to ask.

" You look a like Domer , am I right?" The Arche's 'chuckle' almost sounded very uncanny like a frog giving a blowie inside his throat " They are part of the local fauna. Everything will try to eat you out in the wild. These worms are no exception."

" Got it, thanks for your time, Doc." It was high time to leave this place. Deleth would have to wait a bit for her De-Tox.

" So, What is this zone Zone A-3?"

"I-i think you better talk to Chief Engineer Spinefield I didn't really get the chance to work in the quarry." replied your assistant reluctantly.

" Then what in the Scarlet Lords' name are you doing here?"

"I...I..." Deleth couldn't answer your question. Her silence was broken when she felt compelled to answer "... Elverseer Hakodd had other uses for me... ."

"I...see." That was a touchy subject you shouldn't have brought up "Let's head back to my place. I need some sleep. Big day tomorrow and all of that Jazz."

" Yes, Mr. Burden. Please follow me."

==================

"Here we are." The elf had led you to the housing area segregated into four distinct parts: a shithole of a barracks for elves, a somewhat livable shacks for miners and those with similar jobs , an okayish trailers for people like you with important tasks and last but not least, large houses for the Chiefs and the Director. As always, there were also no second floors anywhere. The architects of this facility just loved to waste space, it seemed. Your ID had unlocked your trailer , BT-02, with a satisfying click.

"Hey, where are you going?" Before you could enter your deceptively small trailer ,Deleth was walking towards a transparent cage-like structure attached to the back of your trailer. A caged cubicle, that was the right term.

"This is my new home: The E.C, Mr. Burden. Please check your ID for other options." After a couple of clicks, you found out that you can actually add this cubicle inside your trailer in case you didn't want others to see what your elf was doing. A tall guy like you would be forced to sleep while standing up in this cubicle...just another way to torture elves.

Maybe set the cage to outside Opaque so it draws less notice that she isn't in there.

Elf Cage? Poor Deleth. Really is the dumps down here. Might be really handy for the investigation to have an elf assistant that could talk to some other elves being used as slave labor in the mines, and elf 'servants' without drawing too much attention. Though if she was being starved to malnourishment I suppose she wasn't giving the fat Warf what he wanted, then we showed up and he needed to give someone up to us.

An elf miner wouldn't be mining anywhere without being told to mine there, right? So perhaps someone wanted them to die down in the tainted vein.

"W-what?"

"You heard me. You will get no job done in there so might as well work inside.

"..." The elf was speechless for your generous act of kindness. She quickly packed the essentials before following you inside.

The trailer had one large living room/kitchen and two smaller bedrooms partition with their own toilet. Good, you didn't want it to be super awkward for your assistant to share that part of the trailer with you.

"We have to establish some rules first, my room is off limits, you hear?"

"Yes, Mr. Burden." Deleth paused for a second, admiring the best place she had ever called home in her life. Her dreamy eyes had met yours, it was nice to see them glittering with hope instead of the usual gloom and doom " Good abnight, Mr.Burden...and thank you."

>Hacking Tool kit

Guess if we were an Ark-cybe then we'd get a hacking kit by default? Or maybe be able to improvise without one? I hope this is useful to us even though we didn't pick the job that specializes in it.

I do think taking the money is viable though. As an infiltrator it'd make sense to be able to hand out lots of bribes or pay off minions to do shit for us. Still, the machines we hack should have that covered for us.

The bloatfly could be good for blackmail, but I feel like we could just hack some cameras.

Fyngr is useful, funny pun too.

We could just steal a gun from the armoury or arrange an accident for a guard if we need a gun.

Will the agent still exist even if we don't pick the contact info?

Talk good to infiltrate cult and persuade non-involved locals to our cause. Think good to find the cult.

I'm sure we can round ourselves out later, there's probably some more blood lying around. Not sure about the difference between vaultblood and therrblood but oh well.

" Thanks Karla..." The Hacking Tool was a nice gift and all but the Vaultblood was far more precious because it is an ethereal gift from the Scarlet Lords themselves meant to enhance one's capabilities. Some called it Dreamblood due to its phantasmal nature with only certain containers being able to contain it. This divine gift would kill anyone who was not worthy without a noble heart in their mind. That meant you were one of the few lucky ones to stay alive after chugging an entire cup thanks to your Mentor's unorthodox way of training....she didn't want to waste her time with some useless kid who would shit his pants at the first sign of danger. Ah, the memories....

Time to sleep.

Day 1 [20 Days left]
Night [Night-> Paranight-> Abnight]

"Good Night, Mr. Burden." Your assistant greeted you with quite the high spirits. If you had to guess, it was because of that comfy bed...the first one in her entire life apparently " What do you want for your Sipfast ?"

" You can cook? " You raised an eyebrow.

" With all due to respect, Mr. Burden, There is nothing to it when Blood is the main ingredient in every single dish."

"True, true." Over the last few centuries, certain additives and flavours would be added creating mostly worthless dishes since any non-blood components wouldn't be absorbed in the first place " How about a Marrower's omelette?"

" Let me check..." Deleth opened the fridge "Yeah, we got some eggs. Right away, Mr. Burden."

The eggs of this flightless bird were full of thick and delicious bloody yoke which made it somewhat of a middle class meal, not too expensive and very nutritious.

Fwwsshhhh

"You don't have to wear the suit, we have like half an hour before work." You remarked. It was a bit stuffy inside the trailer and the heat from the Therr-powered stove was making her sweaty.

" You technically don't have to work today, Mr. Burden. Besides, That's the only set of clothes I have."

Meeting with the Head of Security and getting him to do his job would be the best way to get that last body. Maybe we hint that in central some of these middle and higher up positions were considered almost up for grabs due to certain inconsistencies reported.

Or set up something for later as a blood Tester maybe we are entitled to an escort if we go into the field to verify if a vein is tainted or not, maybe lead the escort on a detour, and then pick up that body while we are down there.

" So, Do you believe in your *ahem* Scarlet Lord?" You were always curious about their very wild fantasy. A sixth unknown Scarlet Lord? Preposterous.

" Elves need something to believe in. Our kind must have hope wherever it may come from." Came her rather calm reply. According to her wacky belief, The Sixth Scarlet would descend from the Sunless skies bringing salvation and punishing every non elf for their transgressions. She and her kin were very lucky that the Scarlet Lords had forbidden any blasphemy-related punishment as a display for endless kindness and tolerance to the non believers.Otherwise, the elves would have probably been genocided loooonnng time ago.

"Sipfast is ready." Deleth served you a bloody omelette before going to a corner to eat her Kipple : An elven stable which was a gelatinous red slop made fron stagnant blood of dead animals (or elves).

"Deleth, what are you doing?"

" Having my daily meal, Mr. Burden." replied the puzzled elf.

" Get up and take a damn seat."

"I-I couldn't..Mr.Burden." Deleth looked away from you almost in shame. For the most part, non privileged elves were not equal to all other races. Even domesticated pets had more rights than them.

"Suit yourself." You stood up with the tasty omelette in your left hand before sitting right next to Deleth on the floor. Your bigger frame had blocked her from wiggling her way out of this corner " Here, have a bite."

Nom

Reluctantly, Your assistant had agreed discarding the disgusting slop away. Of course, having a collar around one's neck had made swallowing an arduous task. Both you and her had your fill. Better get ready for your tour...

In short, P-31 was divided into several departments:

Administrative

All the paperwork , other beuacratic nonsense and major decisions were handled in one building with top notch security as expected. Key figures were:

- Director Dorr : Head of this Facility, tighter than a Sanctified Scarlet Sister.
- Vice Director Halaieth : The 'Busy Bee' of P-31 and second in command.
- Meteorologist Ynco : The weather forecaster and the most antisocial person in the facility.

Security

Scattered everywhere around the facility, the job of Security was to keep everyone safe from Feral and possible elven revolt, key figures were:

- Chief of Security Whergamm : The hardest ass in the facility, no one would be willing to speak with him directly.
- Quartermaster Ashton : Responsible for the storage of all weapons and sensitive supplies in the facility, great chess player too.
- Rem-00 : Cybe Chief of Cyber Security, very happy for the wrong reasons.

Logistics and Archoid Resources

The lifeblood of the facility, everything came and went under their supervision, key figures were:

- Chief Supplier Rakko : Greasy little Warf, controls all commodities sold in the facility and the storage warehouses.

- Drillo Albea : Keeps the Drillotrail and its rail at pristine condition, carries a wrench on her all the time despite regulations.
- Doctor Yaqesiro : You have already met him before.

Minning

The main reason of why everyone was wrangled here. Key figures were:

- Chief Engineer Spinefield : One of the rarest Arche you would ever encounter.

- Quality Assurance /Blood Tester (You!)

- Elverseer Hakodd : Makes sure that elves get the job done....or die trying.

Our sector, and where most of the personnel aside from security are likely to be allocated. With Deleth, You stepped outside of your trailer heading for the Quarry aptly named ' The Maw ' for a damn good reason... It was a gargantuan hole in the ground with strange rock formations at the surface resembling jagged teeth ready to snap shut at any given moment.

"Woah..." You felt a bit woozy from staring at this seemingly bottomless pit dotted by tiny specks of light mostly swallowed by darkness. Most of the Mining operations were inside the Maw but there were some surface level extractions judging by the huge vehicles parked outside, they were called Mining Mammoths or Mamms, each of which were larger than a three-floored house.

As expected, the security was super tight around the maw. Multiple checkpoints and the like. No one was going smuggle anything in or out of there without security knowing about it. You were honestly amazed by the huge elevator shaft at the of the Maw capable of transporting elves, raw materials and heavy machinery back to the surface and vice versa.

" I guess the main building is over there." You pointed at a structure directly built on the side of the Maw next to the elevator shaft?

"WHAT?!" Deleth couldn't hear you because of the tings and tongs echoing out of the maw. You just realizes that all miners and security personnel were wearing earmuffs, two of each were given to you by a nearby Security officer.

CLICK

The disgruntled man gave you a quick tutorial on how to use them. These were connected to each other within a small radius allowing possible conversations outside. Working elves would never said Earmuffs, years of constant mining would eventually render them deaf.

The building attached to the elevator had red sand all over the floor. None was willing to clean it out since all of these heavy duty boots would it back in no time so they just had to live with it.

"Excuse me? I want to see Chief Engineer Spinefield...I am the new Blood Tester guy." A miner had pointed you to his office right around the corner.

The Chief Engineer in question was seen fixing some type of a jackhammer of his desk. He didn't really look that different from any Arche ; eiggt pale arms, twelves bright yellow eyes, two large fangs sticking out of his relatively small mouth...the usual.

Except for her his glowing viens.

Radioactive Blood of relatively safe levels, otherwise, you wouldn'tbe having this conversation without a protective suit

" Mr. Spinefield, this is our new Blood Tester Burden Deo and I am his assistant, Deleth."

"Hmm? Oh yes." The Chief Engineer forced himself to leave the Jackhammer alone going for a very firm handshake " We are extremely lucky for you to arrive in such a short notice. I would have chain you to your desk the moment you stepped out of Drillorail but rules and rules..." he paused for a second gauging your reaction " Only joking but we seriously need you to return to work. So many samples are just sitting there in the warehouses after Elizker's tragedy...poor guy."

The Arche brought something from the cupboard behind him, a bottle of Bloodwine. He poured one cup for you and another for him as to be expected " A Toast to a fine addition to our team!"

Virgin Blood, Sweet, Fruity, No aftertaste, Fremented for over thirty years.

>>

" Athio has a special place in my heart." You replied honestly.

" As many of us do." The Chief Engineer had given you the equivalent of a smile " She visited me in a dream when life had closed every single door to me. I can still feel her watching over my shoulders like the mother I never had."

"Yeah..." you decided to quickly change the subject " What happened to the guy before me , Elizker?"

"The human had killed Officer Braham without warning in Zone E-2 with a Therrblood chunk two weeks ago. He kept bashing his head until he was shot by other officers. I blame it on his work stress or his debt to The Leychers Brothes. "

" Yeesh." You were glad that you didn't really deal with the largest bank in the Dome. Terrible interest rates with misguiding ads, predatory offers for young adults and failed business men...everything underhanded and dirty was up their sleeves. Why didn't they trade with blood like the more decent banks out there?

"Thanks for the help, err boss?"

" Spinefield will do just fine. Now, if you will excuse me..." The Arche went back to his Jackhammer. You and Deleth had left the office room with so many questions clouding your mind.

" What do you think?"

" He might have gone feral, I think. " Deleth gave you her two Nopz " Doctor Yaqesiro knows more than I do, Mr.Burden."

" Hmmm..." Could his death be related to your investigation? You needed more clues before your final conclusion.

=======================

FFFFFFZZZRRRTTTT

The elevator ride was brutally slow, There were only you, your assistant, couple of elves and two engineers with their oversized toolboxes. The look of disdain upon Deleth was pretty disgusting and somewhat justified from her fellow elves; While they were mining in the bowels of the land, she was living the dream almost as if she was a privileged elf.

" This is taking forever..." You kept waiting and waiting until the elevator had stopped at level C where a very out-of-place trailer was on top of a three floored building carved out of stone. Very impressive.

" This is where Elverseer Hakodd lives...Mr.Burden?"

"Yeah?"

"Please don't make me enter this place...again." You could see unfiltered desperation oozing through her eyes only from the sight of this stone building.

>Look, nothing bad is going to happen. We go in, say hi and get out. Five minutes tops.

I think the safest place for her is by our side honestly. I mentioned using her and as errand girl, but honestly I'm not actually sure how safe that is. Does she even have any way of identifying herself as our assistant if she is not beside us? Not to mention her fellow elves or passing elverseers may start some shit with her if we leave her alone, she isn't well liked.

"..." Deleth trusted your judgement slowly following you to the last place she wanted to be in " Remember, Mr.Burden: Elverseer Hakodd belongs to a powerful family in the city. Something with beards in it?"

"The Moonbeards , shit..." The porn industry was controlled by them. Well, That would complicate things...

Ding-Dong

" Who the klus is there ?" A gravelly voice asked from the side.

" Burden Deo, Blood Tester." You replied dryly before you heard several key turns and unlocked chains. Why would anyone require so many security measures?

" If it isn't the new Twarf ... and my sloppy seconds." Before you , a very beefy
balding Warf barely reaching your waistline with a scruffy red beard and a sweat-stained undershirt had 'welcomed' you to his house " Come in, Come in! Got a klusing hour on me. So sure, let's waste some of it on you two."

SMACK

"...!" After you had enter his very lavish home, you heard a sudden clap followed by a squeal only lasting for half a second. This was definitely an Ass Slap .

"Heheh, do you miss me?" Did that Warf just grabbed Deleth by the...?

Despite being entangled in her worst fears, you assistant looked at you intently with her eyes begging you not to escalate the situation for your sake more than hers.

>[Forcibly Take Deleth to your side, wrap your arm around her, ask him a question (one only!) ]
My Deleth.

Okay so theres a possible demonic cult here or in the nearby ruins. The last Blood Tester might have gone feral in Zone E-2 and killed Officer Braham with a therrblood chunk two weeks ago, but we could use info from the Doctor on that. He was also in debt for some reason to the Leycher Brothers, who are a shady exploitative loan group.

This guy is part of the Moonbeards family, but hes also been put out here in the boonies even if it is as Elverseer. So maybe he fucked up a little and got put here. He seems to be a fat bastard pervert, who has something to hide behind a lot of security measures, has something to fear, or does it to keep his elf slaves from opening the door to get out.

The Moonbeards porn industry family. lol. I suppose to stay in his family's good or tolerated graces he would be in a position to send them elves or videos for the family business. That keeps him protected or atleast maintains what status he has and make some extra money. Maybe he does some sick forbidden demon content that would get extra money or prestige? Deleth might have an idea once she trusts us more.

A cult implies organization, so some of them must be capable of intelligence and commerce. People who can control their feral urge like Burden. If the demonic cult wanted bodies and blood then having influence and control over the Elverseer would be pretty good. Lots of elves that almost no one cares about to sacrifice in some way, like sending them into a possibly tainted mining vein to die or editing some paperwork to move things around.

With only one question to get some answers about our predecessor and his goings on, or to gauge this guy's reactions to why he has the security systems or if he is suspicious is pretty hard. This fatass just knows about elves. So where is Elizker's assistant, she might have known what he was up to and he thoughts and its a fair question since plenty of stuff was left over. Where his personal effects went that could tell us more, plus if his death and the fatass are connected it might get a reaction. If he killed the assistant or sent her to die or disappear somewhere that is pretty suspicious. Also while we are here it might be nice to spot some targets for hacking.

"Where is Elizker's former assistant?"
>>
>>5773490

"Tsk." The moonbeard bared his teeth when you pulled Deleth away from him. He didn't like to have his authority challenged especially by a 'Twarf' like you.

There was this awkward moment of silence that was eventually broken by a question " What about his assistant ? Where is she?"

" Working her ass off in..." Hakodd pulled out his phone going through a very extensive list " D-1, stupid bitch went back to mining instead of her previous job. They are all tits and ass without a single brain cell, I tell you."

"Thanks for your time, Elverseer Hakodd. We will meet again real soon."

"Ayep, now klus off, will you?" In a hurry, He opened the door for you. This time, Deleth was the first to leave followed by you. That went reasonably well.

The two of you put on the earmuff right away. Man, the noise out there was unbearable.

"Hey, are you okay?"

"Yes...thank you, Mr.Burden."

===============================

You and your slightly shaken assistant went on a stroll to catch some air in the open. There were a decent number of security cameras in nearly every corner...except for the recreation zone with small shops and a food court. Apparently, the cameras hadn't been replaced in over a decade, really old models that were producing some crappy and choppy footage. The maintenance guy said that their wires also needed to be replaced. It should be two or three more days until all the newer camera would be installed.

You and Deleth had met a new officer who was just hired yesterday; One Morgan Ello, his lungs were really feeling the change in weather compared to the Dome. You suggested a small talk with the Chief of security for the possibility of having indoor patrols instead. Hopefully, this would help the new guy.

========================

Paranight

" Should I get to work, Deleth?" You asked your assistant after returning to your trailer to have a shower along with some refreshment. You felt awfully lazy for some reason.

"Mr.Spinefield would greatly appreciate it,yes."

This is still our day off. The reputation as a hard worker isn't worth it, spend every available moment of our free time on our investigation. I think we'll need it. Socializing and such is thankfully a part of this.

>Continue your tour [Logistics and Archoid Resources with Deleth]

Admin is busy and anti-social, and if the director is the cult leader then we may as well be better off letting this place be blown up. Getting a feel for logistics and security I think will clue us into more about what gets in or out of this place and any lapses that may have occurred, plus we'll maybe meet randoms like Morgan.

>Try to make small conversations with randos taking a break from their job
>Open your Hacking kit, start pinning possible targets.

I'd say security would be good for this, except it is to early to try and rush the central node for the cameras, and we aren't the super stealthy type based on our vaultblood choices. Plus, you'd obviously expect security to be...secure.

A reputation for kindness or being chatty wouldn't be bad either if we have to go around talking with people. If we need an excuse to avoid work and focus on hacking we can blame it on our lungs being used to Dome weather like Morgan.

Getting into the camera network while they are doing repairs and replacements is good if any irregularities from our hacking cause a glitch. On the other hand if we wanted to do any shady business like getting an elf body if we cant recover the one in the worm tunnels then having a place like the recreation zone would be useful for avoiding cameras. Its probably where shady stuff happens anyways since its been a long term thing.

We could scope it out, and get Deleth some not torn clothes while we are there.

"Let's get back to the shopping area, I want to meet up with this Rakko guy."

"' Rakko *girl* , Mr. Burden." Deleth politely corrected you.

"Huh." You were sure that Rakko was a masculine name. Anyways, time to meet the Warf which was easier said than done due to the fact that the Chief supplier was a very busy person. Whenever you asked for her in one place, she would have mysteriously hopped to another one a few minutes before your arrival. Finally, you got a chance to speak with her and her entourage of elves on their way to one of the warehouses. All seven of them were sharply dressed in lovely business suits with short skirts. The elven assistants whispered to each other when you stumbled upon them, some were even having a girly giggle at either your or Deleth's expense. These seven elves weren't earless and they didn't have a collar on them... privileged elves? At least Deleth had a bigger chest than them.

"A new face in this Klushole, welcome!" Rakko greeted you while caressing one of her gems embedded in her silky black beard. It was clear that she loved to flaunt her wealth with multiple precious gems in her fingers, braids and piercing "You look like someone half-important, who are you?"

"Mr. Burden Deo, Blood Tester and I am his assistant, Deleth." Your clipped elf did the introduction with lower spirits than usual.

"OOOO, Blood Tester, eh? Sucks about E...elz, what was his name again, darling?"

" Elizker Montealbedo, big mama." Replied the elven assistant right away.

"Ah, that's right. You know what else sucks? Not getting my money back . " With a snap of her finger , another elf had pulled out a what seemed to be a...written contract?

"Mr. Elizker owed big mama seventy two thousand Nopz. The debt has been transferred directly to you." Stated another elf.

"Pretty sure that is illegal." Your composure didn't change during this obvious shakedown.

"illegal? Mr.Burden, you wound me with your poor choice of words!" Rakko was offended momentarily " It is all written right there, page sixty four: the debt is reserved for this current Blood Tester, their associates and any future person assuming this profession inside P-31." No wonder his previous assistant had dipped from this hellish debt.

"But I can, darling. You have Seven days to procure the money. I hate to see honest men and women go to The pit of Mzrolon over this chump change..."

"What do you *really* want?" You stared right in her golden eyes.

Furthermore, even if I was to inherit Mr.Montealbedo's debt, that means I would be entitled to his estate, and so far I've yet to receive his possessions. [Indignant, legal fast-talk, entirely serious.]

Force her to show her hand. Will she coerce us by not offering supplies from the store, or does she have thugs under her sway? If she's used to bluffing people into submission then we can avoid being intimidated. If she is willing and able to go hard then we can delay and feign submission until we are prepared to arrange an accident for her.

Alternatively we could compromise our cover and put her on the phone with Karla, swear her to secrecy on pain of death, and hope she isn't a cultist or worse; a gossip.

"Mr. Elizker had liquated all of his assets a few days before his death. They were equally distributed to other parties whom he was indebted to. The only possession still in his name is storage room #024. O-ops? Sorry, big mama "

"You..." The Chief Supplier gave her blabbermouth of an assistant quite the dagger eyes " I suppose I am legally obliged to give you his key card. What is there is...sadly yours. Should have opened it when I had the chance..."

+ Storage key card #024

" Don't try to strong-arm a Warf." said Rakko with a smile that had shown her gold plated fangs " Until we reach an agreement, you aren't welcome in any of my shops. You know where to find me. Enjoy starving to death, bye~"

That little...pretty sure you could manage the food situation but that move was just brutal. The silver lining here was the key card, you ought to check out the storage unit sometime in the future.

"This Rakko and her girls... so infuriating.." You sat down on a bench with Deleth who was blushing "What?"

" Her boys, Mr. Burden." Deleth corrected you for the second time.

"Come again?"

"Mrs. Rakko is surrounded by crossdressers. She painstakingly dresses and dolls them up for an hour before going to work. It is alright, Mr. Burden. It can be hard to distinguish between our men and women from the first glance." It made sense for them to be nearly flat chested. Sheesh, was there any chance to meet a half decent warf out there?

Your next stop was the Drillorail station, still busy as ever with goods transported back and forth, new hires or people finally returning back home... the usual. After asking a Cybe or two, you found out that Ablea was in her office. Time to say hi to her.

Fwöööõp

"It's alright Boozy, they are friends!" The redhead in a blue jumpsuit had calmed down her one eyed furry creature who had assumed an aggressive stance with its two trunks.

"I am-"

" No need for introductions. I know who are you. This is my station, remember?" Ablea gave her freakish pet some treats making its a bit sleepy " Got eyes everywhere, how can I help?"

"Well, I-"

"Stay here.I will be right back." Without warning, the human had barged out of her office with her signature wrench. Through the camera footage, You saw an security officer trying to have his way with a worker in a somewhat secluded area in the station. The man grew more aggressive sticking his gun at his victim's head while undressing her. At this moment, Ablea had arrived with her wrench at the ready.

"Is he going to shoot her? " Ablea didn't really allow him to fire a single bullet as she threw her wrench at him when her words didn't really convince him to stop. The armoured man had quickly recovered pulling out his baton for a bloody brawl with no clear winner. Other officers should be on their way but it might be too late for them to do anything.

What should you do?

>Sit down and watch, Ablea can handle one disoriented man
>Rummage through her office? No one is watching but Deleth...
>Rush down there to help her. The place isn't too far according to the footage.
>Pet the freaky two trunked thing

Why? So as not to break quest-reward/Night cycle/3 weeks system?

>>5773823
>Rush down there to help her. The place isn't too far according to the footage.

Make a friend, make an enemy. It may suck to be on a guard's bad side, but this guard in particular was never likely to be in our good graces or vice versa anyways. Also, this entire issue with Rakko can be easily circumvented by making friends and having them buy the things we want for us using our money.

Good to also know that while many people in this place continue to be absolute bastards, there are some decent folk around here.

>Ask her a question if/when she comes back ["Eyes everywhere, huh? So these cameras have sound?]

Basically the question is meant to bait out who her friends are that are acting as her eyes and ears, or if she really just relies on cameras, in which case that is good to know that they do in fact have sound, given she knew our name.

Alternatively, if the question above is too suspicious, we could ask if this sort of harassment happens often, and if we should expect any consequences to fall our way. Maybe it won't given the fact that the security officer is clearly not in the right, but you never know with this place.

Also, is her name Ablea or Albea? In the personnel/department list you list her as Albea, but here her name is Ablea.

>Rush down there to help her. The place isn't too far according to the footage.
By the Scarlet Lords, this place is a shit show. Every person is becoming a quest the moment we meet them.

>Ask her a question if/when she comes back [one question only!]
"I'm sure you've seen who I was talking with before. The food and shops around here don't seem to agree with me. I could use a favor, to get someone to help keep me supplied with food and any goods I need."

>>5773872
Well since we are here and we get one question we might as well go ahead and ask if we can get this favor done and solve a problem now. We are looking at the camera system to see this whole incident, but we don't hear any sound coming through, so I think it doesn't have sound.
>>
>>5773823
I'll switch to support this>>5774008

Better to get that out of the way rather than have to use up our time asking this later.

>>5774008
You're right, I wasn't thinking.
>>
>>5774022
Solid. Who do you think we should see after this, Security or Administrative? Check out the storage, see about keeping up appearances at work, or something else.

Security we could see about them getting that last body, or organizing our own little adventure down there which could see us getting our hands on a gun and some armor. Play chess with Quartermaster Ashton and see if we can get some gear lent to us or just to make a friend. Rem-00 the Cybe chief of cyber security who could become our opponent in hacking stuff.

Administrative has a weather forecaster, which I guess must be important. Maybe we can figure out which days would be hard on the lungs and so days we can ditch work, which as our strongest antisocial person in the facility he can appreciate. If we fail at getting the Security to do their job or help us out, or they require some weird favor as well then talking to Admin afterwards might be a chance to settle that.
>>
>>5774041
Between admin and security I'm honestly not sure. I said security before because I assumed that the directors would be too busy and the weather person is anti social...but honestly security isn't described as any friendlier. Both could be important, getting insight into the major problems with this facility or the policies set from up top could allow us to infer a lot. I'm fine with either.

As for the other stuff, we don't need to go to the work until tomorrow, so I'd say checking out the storage comes first. We still have a whole abnight phase left because we didn't meet Rakko in her office. Plus QM still has to handle the minor actions we selected for this phase.

Since talking to the major figures of each department can end up being as much a burden as a benefit, it's more important to network with these people for info or friendship than the expect that we'll be able to influence them or get them to do anything. At least this early on, later we probably could.

Ashton may end up being cool, and maybe, just maybe we can convince him that despite being a blood tester and not a guard we deserve a gun. We are in the mining department after all. Other than him I think I've changed my mind and now slightly favour talking to admin over security during our last phase of today. Assuming we don't use all of it visiting the storage of the late Elizker.
>>
>>5774059
At this point its worse then a coinflip for how the departments look. Each department has one asshole, one weirdo, one decent person. Logistics - Rakko is the asshole, Albea the decent person, Doctor Yaqesiro the weirdo. Cheif Engineer Spinefield seems decent and or the weirdo. Elverseer Hakodd the asshole. I am sure Sec and Admin will follow suit.

My thinking is we want to get that last elf body since theres only a couple days to get that mission done before the worms do, and get a look down there. Get the de-tox for Deleth, another step towards earning her complete trust so we can have someone help us get things done. Security is the most direct route to either get them to do their job, or get the gear to do it ourselves through Ashton, ideally with time afterwards to get it done ourselves. Having gear while we search for a demonic cult is pretty high on the list too.

Admin being the paperwork with the definition of paperwork being to do things inefficiently we have to owe another favor to get them to focus on getting Security to do their job to get the body to get the de-tox. I'd say just pay the damn spider doc for the de-tox if it didn't sound like we might need that money to buy supplies through a middle-woman very soon.
>>
>>5774092
I'm honestly convinced that regardless of our persuasive skill we are gonna have to go fetch the body ourselves. So I guess visiting security will be the way forward after QM handles our minor actions from earlier. For the gear, since I'm assuming our efforts to get the guards to do their damn jobs will be in vain.
>>
>>5774103
Yeah that's my guess too. Any other questions you think we should try to the Cybe robot and the Chief?
>>
>>5774125
Maybe ask why they aren't fetching the body? Also asking how deep the cameras go into the tunnels, maybe we can see the body or the disposition of the ferals/demons/dangerous wildlife in the area of the corpse.

Learning about the ruins could also be good, it was mentioned that the cult is believed to either be in this facility or in the nearby ruins. We may have to think of some innocuous way to ask that question though, since while I doubt it'll blow our cover it is still an odd thing for some rando to ask out of the blue, and we don't know who might be a cultist or how deeply they've infiltrated this place.

We could also ask about any recent elven revolt attempts and how well in hand the situation is. I'm sure they'll say some generic "everything is perfectly secure" boilerplate statement, but I still wanna ask because I feel like a disaffected, oppressed populace would be prime vectors for demonic corruption and a breeding ground for cultists or just people willing to do dirty work in exchange for materiel goods or anything that'll help them live a better life.

Other than that, I dunno. How about you?

You snaked through a small of maze of crates waiting to be shipped before reaching the right corridor where you heard the a gunshot echoing from the third room on your right.

Without considering your safety, you barged in ready to kick some ass only to find the officer on twitching on the floor with his skull cracked wide open spilling out his grey matter soaked in dark red blood. The wrench did beat the gun after al-

Cough-cough

" Serves him...right, hehe.." Albea grinned while clutching her wound right in her gut "Didn't I tell you to..."

Just like that, the overly confident Drillo had passed out. As much as you wanted to help out the traumatized worker, saving the dying woman next to her seemed like the more reasonable choice.

You carried the human between your arms with one destination in mind: the infirmary. The two lazy nurses had performed their duties admirably in this emergency situation. The Arche doctor was sipping his bloodleaf tea when you came along.

"We will take it from here." Yaqesiro began to work right away leaving your plain clothes stained with blood. The good doctor should handle the internal bleeding with ease. She looked live a fighter to you. Yeah, she was going to survive this.

Outside of the infirmary, several officers were waiting for you along with Deleth. They had to take your statement first quickly interrogating you to get a better picture of what had just happened. The footage in the Drillorail should cover most of the evidence.

You had to return back to the trailer for a change of clothes, you would clean them later. Well, at least you had secured a solid favour with her.

=====================
In the privacy of your room, you opened your Hacking Tool kit: A hard-duty laptop with a small antenna attached to it. This beauty could only pin three potential liabilities without raising too much suspicious. First round of hackable devices were:.

-Camera #4 ( Therrblood Warehouse)
-Sprinkling system #2 ( Food Court)
-Lighting Control system for Sniper Tower #16 ( Western outer parameters)

Gaining access over them would require another session so the Cyber security wouldn't pinpoint the source of this potential breach. You had to be very patient about it.

In other news, people were starting to talk about the new guy who had carried Albea to safety. You honestly didn't like this spotlight. You did learn something very important about the working environment of the Drillorail station. Albea considered everyone working there (save for security) to be part of the Family making it a very close knit workplace compared to other sections in the mining facilities. Perhaps that was why Albea was willing to personally intervene like so.

Abnight

You yawned loudly while waiting for your dinner: Sautéed Liver full of juicy blood cooked by the very talented Deleth who kept downplaying herself. Everyone was either crawling back to bed or finishing what was left of their shift. A question kept pestering you: Have you accomplished anything of note tonight? The night wasn't over just yet. Who knew, you might catch a cultist red handed today or some demon in disguise. Wishful thinking was the best thinking.

What should you do?

Oh, okay. So, like we can choose questions and broad approaches but have to select from the dialogue selection choices during the specific moments of each phase? Or something? Kinda threw me off, since 'no write-ins except when allowed' doesn't seem to mesh with 'free-form'. Though I'm enjoying the quest either way.

>>5774491
Well, it is a good thing we came running. Looks like that whole buying food thing won't be an issue. We also learn that there is apparently a system of evidence and justice for violence and attempted rape and this isn't a 'whatever the man with the gun says, goes' type of system, or at least not completely. Though that may just be in the face of overwhelming evidence and because Albea is a key employee, and the system may be ad hoc rather than formal, we'll see I guess.

If we subvert camera 4 then we could get in and steal from the warehouse, though I'm not sure what good that will do because we don't even know what Therrblood is. Is it food, a ingredient for vaultblood, a construction materiel or precious metal? We could also use the warehouse to hide in if we are ever compromised and the facility turns against us, similarly we can use it as a shady meeting spot for conducting business under the table without the authorities knowing.

The sprinkling system could be used for influencing the movement of people, or as a distraction.

Since there is no sun and it is always night disabling the lighting for the tower could either cause a distraction and reallocation of security personnel or hypothetically we could sneak outside via the west or move unseen via the western side to another part of the facility. Say, like to steal something or kill someone without being attached to the scene of the crime via records of our movements.

I definitely get the feeling more would be available if we took the tech vaultblood or were an Ark-Cybe. As is, I kinda feel like the undetectable gun, contact, or finger multitool would be more useful now that I see our options, at least if we wanna remain subtle about the hacking. Still, we have some useful options.

While the Drillorail crew seem wholesome, the whole 'family' aspect makes me wonder if they are all cultists, with Albea being a key member. It also explains security not being part of the family, if they knew it would be a big problem. In this hypothetical scenario security is ironically the good guys despite being so antagonistic towards us. Probably just a tight knit community though, nothing to fret over.

>>5774504
>Continue your tour [Security, with Deleth]
>Open Storage unit #24
>Go to the infirmary, Check on Albea

As planned, try to get security to do their job or give us a gun so we can do their job for them. Open the locker and shore up our new friendship. Who knows, if my theory isn't a theory then maybe some concerned cultist friend of hers will visit her too and we can eavesdrop some info. We can hack in the 'morning' tomorrow.
>>
>>5774504
I'm enjoying the quest, good stuff my guy.

Yeah these could be useful I think. If we ever needed a big distraction to pull people away from their posts, activating a sprinkling system like there was a fire could give us a distraction. If we want to sneak out to check out the ruins we could set some times for the lights of tower 16 to go out. Maybe we get lucky on Camera 4, or use that spot for a clandestine meeting. Once its hacked we can always use it, it won't be overwritten by hacking 3 other pinned items right Checkpoint Guy?

It would be pretty funny if the only proactively good person we met was a cultist. IF the security guard was given a mission to corner someone and check for a cultist tattoo or mutations. Maybe the mystery box storage unit will give us something useful.

We can hack as many devices as we want. Of course, more hacked devices means more suspicion that doesn't necessarily incriminate us until thebguys at cyber security would pinpoint us, we can always unhack devices that aren't necessary to our plans anymore.
>>
>>5774549
Damn, now you got me wondering if we passed up a chance for prime evidence by not looking through Albea's office. Who knows, maybe the one eyed, two trunked Boozy is some kind of parasite or demonic familiar or something? We didn't pick Virivi or Lore after all, we don't know what that thing even is. lol, just imagine. I doubt it, but it'd be pretty funny, and I'll kick myself if it turns out to be true later on. Hell, if admin/security is onto the cultist then WE could be implicated as a potential cultist given our actions. Though that may be what we want honestly, if we are still going the 'infiltrate the cult' route.

There is some alternate timeline where we picked Virivi, Harpy, guard/sniper, either retalia or clotball and the combat vaultbloods and just BLAMMED every cultist we detected with our Cthaii abilities.

We ought to think about hacking some cybes and just letting it lay dormant until we need it. Some muscle would be good. Or at least secure access to the cybes storage/maintenance area to do that in the future. Actually hacking them right away may give us away.

You felt like you were standing in front of a damn Fortress when you went with Deleth to speak with the chief of security. Sniper towers, barbed wires, security officers in riot gear and two armoured vehicles with mounted machine guns and a grenade launcher. This place was definitely the last place to fall in case the facility was overrun by ferals and/or demons.

" Commander Whergamm won't be seeing anyone, now fuck off." Well, That was quite the greeting from the first officer at the building's main entrance.

"I just-"

"Look, Dumbass..." His bigger partner stepped in "... We just lost three officers in less than three weeks. Commander Whergamm just hates to see his boys six feet under. So please, turn the fuck around before it gets ugly." The other security officer cocked his shotgun threateningly.

Did he just say three not two?

" Have a good Abnight, Gents." Yeah, there was no way you could enter with the recent death of that officer. The atmosphere was too volatile for a casual introduction.

"If it isn't Burden Deo, the man who heroically carried the Drilloasshole back to our local necrophile." Said a man behind you who got a salute from the two asshole officers. You turned around , there was an extended hand waiting for a good shake.

" Quartermaster Ashton, at your service." You shook hands with a black human past his fifties and yet he was still in his prime "Come with me, son. Your assistant too."

Just like that, you entered the most secured building in the facility "You wanted to see me too, right?"

"Yeah." You nodded " Where are we going?"

" The Feral Ranch , where else?" The three of you took an elevator to a small underground open space, it looked like a shooting range with a LOT of dried blood on the floor.

"There is a constant beef between us and other departments, the civvies are too stupid to realize that are doing what we are trained for to save their asses from the real danger outside." Ashton sounded more frustrated than angry " It should have been Whergamm instead of Dorr but I digress."

" Remmy told me how... eager you are to meet every single head of department. I will chalk it up as you trying to get to know your new home for the next five years or so."

" Mr. Ashton, this is my idea according to our regular protocols." Deleth stepped in to defend you.

"...that no one follows." He quickly retorted " Just keep your fangs clean... Or we will clean it for you. " Was this a friendly advice or a indirect threat?

Your assistant felt like that she had screwed big time by dipping you in trouble with the Quartermaster. If only she knew your actual agenda...

CLICK

A collared Feral emerged from the far end of the shooting range, a naked harpy flapping her non-existent wings. The feral's collar was instantly attached to metal rod in the ceiling allowing some form of control over the wild woman. There were also two sensors at the start of the shooting range. Her head would probably pop off the moment she went past them.

" How about a little game? Kill a feral and I will give you something valuable in return." The Human had swiped his ID against the wall revealing an arsenal of...peashooters and a dull machete "Pick one, son."

>No thanks, Mr. Ashton.
>I will take Nuz-01 [ Six shots handgun]

>Why don't you give me a demonstration, Quartermaster?

>I will take Nuz-01 [ Six shots handgun]
"Close your eyes and cover your ears Deleth."

Harpy reminds him of Karla, but on the other hand it might be a mercy. What would Karla want if she was going to turn into a feral? I guess the question is do we want to be seen as having the skill and composure to kill, and playing along with their 'game' which seems to not be appreciated by the locals. Could really use a gun, and possibly security's help if and when we do find the cult.

Hopefully Feral Ranch is just a nickname and they aren't seriously keeping a massive amount of ferals locked up underneath their security base. Sure would be a shame if some cultist hacked their way in, unlocked the collars, and released a horde, ha ha.

You took the handgun and focused on the rabid creature ahead. The world seemed to melt around, there was nothing but the void, you and your target. You were well aware that she could dodge your bullets with ease so you had to anticipate her next move.

SCREEECH

The creature lunged forward cutting through air to reach for your jugular with her malformed fang. You carefully squeezed the trigger and fired two shots. It was a calculated miss meant to gauge her reaction time. The third also missed but the fourth grazed her neck. Without any sense of preservation, The Harpy went on all fours, her plucked out wing were regrown with sharp blades of her own blood. The thirst was driving her mad.

The fifth shot went for her thighs failing to halt her rancorous advance. You could see the white in her eyes when you shot your sixth and final shot that went straight through her left eye nestling somewhere inside her rotten brain. The Harpy dropped dead only a few feet away from the sensor.

"I-is she head?"

" Yeah, you can open your eyes." You assured your delicate assistant.

" Not bad. Here, this is for you..."

+ Shift pass

"What is this?" You were slightly confused from this pink plastic chip.

"What does it look like? Scan it with your ID card and take your half the day off." Oh, this might come in handy later.

" Up for another round? Do you think you can handle two ferals with six shots? I will give you something in return."

" Fair enough." The Quartermaster had swiped his ID against a different wall revealing a drawer full of submachine guns " Mind the spread."

You next target were two ferals elves with hunched backs and sharp claws. They were, however, much smarter than the harpy by using their copies as bloodshields soaking up all the bullets you sprayed them with until you ran out in the worst possible time. They were mere inches away from you before the sensor caught up with them first popping their heads in a confetti of blood and gore.

"Can't say I am surprised but hey, at least you learned something new, right? Good abnight, son. " The security officer who kept watching you silently all this time had escorted you and Deleth outside. It was a point moot point to speak with the Chief of Cyber Security with how hostile Ashton and Co. were. Still, you had earned yourself a Shift Pass out of this altercation.

=============================

The Storage units were inside a cubic labyrinth cursed with inefficient stacking and a waste of potential spaces. Whoever placed these prefab units did a very poor job.

"This is the one. What do you think we will find?"

"I don't know, Mr.Burden. I hope it is worth something to cover your debt." Deleth replied.

" Oh, It is just some random junk." Stacks of old newspaper, empty blood bags, bubble wraps, a golf duffle bag and a couple of trophies he got in high school of great sentimental value but they weren't worth shit in actual value. It seemed like that he packed what was left of his personal belongings in one spot. He might have sold his apartment since he was already in crushing debt.

It was a leech market out there in the infirmary with literally all of the workers and other personnel from the station at the entrance. Both the nurses and the security officers were handling the crowd outside rather poorly until the good doctor himself had arrived on the scene.

"For the love of the Scarlet Lords, your precious Drillo is trying to rest! Let her get some sleep, damn it!" The Arche returned back inside leaving the 'Family' a bit undecided on what to do next.

" Come on folks, you heard what the doc said. Now scram." Said the same asshole who tried to stop your assistant from entering earlier. The crowd would soo disperse but not before notching you among them. You earned a couple of thanks and cheers from the hard workers of the Drillorail station.

" Hey..." Someone tapped gentle on your right shoulder, it was the same girl who was nearly molested a few hours ago.

"Hey, how are you holding up?"

"I am doing alright. It is just....none of what happen made sense. Officer Bradley, he swings for the other team, everyone know it when Gasus caught him 'drilling' Pearls. "I will, thanks." You nodded before leaving. There were a lot of devices that were either powered by Therrblood directly or indirectly via electro-hemolysis from unrefined Therrblood chunks so she might come in handy in the future.

It was a very long and eventful night, you wanted nothing more than flopping on the bed for some sleep but first, you had to call Klara for a status report in the privacy of your soundproof room.

" How is my favourite hatching doing? " You told her the long and the short of what happened today.

"My,my, Burden making new friends. Did you keep it in your pants when you saw that sickly and naked harpy, hmmm?"

" Gross, Grow up please. By the way, your info is wrong: There are definitely more than a hundred people in P-31 " The numbers didn't add up.

" So what if I missed an extra zero on the right? Anyways, the name Whergamm sounds awfully familiar, I will do some digging and come back with an answer in a few days."

"I was hoping you are going to bail me out on that stupid debt." You knew that HQ had a lot of resources at their disposal.

Again, you weren't permitted to enter the safest place in the facility on the account of you being a 'civvy'. The officer was right though, as a blood tester, you were a civilian without any right to wield a gun. It was a far fetched dream for you to get a gun legally . The only possible reason they might let you in was to file a complaint so you went with just that. Yeah, it was a fat chance to meet the Chief of security or 'Remmy' at this point.

You were escorted to an overcrowded and stuffy office where a fatass Warf was waiting for you. She was so fat that she had to shave her beard because of how itchy it became. Her multiple chins had a severe case of ingrown hair and acne.

" Please fill out this form." The disinterested and sweaty warf handled you a piece of paper and a pen while playing some mobile game on her phone under the ceiling fan. Your complaint was pretty reasonable...the officers needed to do their job or let you do it for them.

"Are you klussing kidding me?!" The Wharf wheezed from her short burst of laughter or some kind of a lung problem "That's your complaint?"

"Yep." Your expression didn't change. You were dead serious about this.

" Ohohohoo!" The shortstacked officer snorted " Look, Twarf, this zone is outside of the facility which means it is off limits for civvies like you. The way I see it, you got only two ways to get your body. A Haemo-Geological Survery which takes about a month to get approved... or you can pay me 1000 Nopz to arrange everything for you, I will even add a Slip Pass 'cause it is your first time." said officer Bubadodd with one yellow grin.

"Let's say I bribed you and one of your friends, Can I come with them too? Go Solo?"

"I don't give a klus, you will lose your Slip Pass, though."

>[ This shit isn't worth it anymore, walk away]
> Here is your money, I want that body delivered to the infirmary by tonight, you hear?
> Here is your money, I want to tag along with the officer. Make it happen.

-700 Nopz
800 Nopz
"Let's make it 700 Nopz so I deal with more of your friends later, yeah?"

"Hmm..." The Warf scratched her chins considering your counter offer "Why the Klus not? Stay right here." Bubadodd squeezed her fat ass out of here waddling away for five minutes, then ten, then fifteen...

Finally, She returned with a petite officer, a red head by the name of Cathy. She looked much more optimistic than the her jaded/Uncaring coworkers which probably meant that she was redder than fresh bloodgrass.

"Listen, Rookie, you are to escort our Blood Tester to zone A-4 and body bag some klussing dead elf out there."

"Yes! I finally get to do some *real* security work!" The young woman nearly jumped from joy "Come on, Sir. Let's get that body!"

Together, you went to Northern parameters of the facility where the A-4 Zone was supposed to be. You did have to pass a fortified checkpoint where the guys there continued to harass the new girl but every suggestive word of them seemed to fly over her head. That positivity of her was quite something.

"Huh? According to manual, I am authorized to ride a Duner for this mission. Why can't I get one?" Asked Cathy. The bunch of leeches before her had to make up some excuse on the spot.

"Uuuh, you see, all security vehicles are going through a round of maintenance.. You have walk about..." The Harpy checked his collar tracker to see where was this corpse "... half an hour on foot. No biggie for you, right, princess?"

-Slip Pass

" Of course, I love a good challenge! " nodded the gullible girl before leaving the facility with you. Of course, you had to give up the Slip Pass you had just acquired.

You were welcomed by a barren wasteland soaked in red. At first, You and officer Cathy followed the intended mining path for some Celestial blood veins scattered on the surface. You saw elves working hand in hand with heavy machineries, they weren't as many as the ones in the Maw.

That girl kept chewing on your ears once you and her went off road. She was a living machine gun of words and useless trivia that you did not care about. No wonder you had a discount.

"...we are getting close!" Chirped up the happy officer despite all the gear she was carrying " Sir, would you mind giving me a review when we are done so I can improve myself?"

"Sure, whatever." You , on the otherhand, were too sweaty to care about anything. Shit, why did the elf had to die in this mud swamp? If anything got the jump on you, there was a fat chance that you could run away.

" I see her! " you pointed at a muddy clearing without dead trees or any roaming ferals. The elf was on top of a tiny mound away from the actual mud.

"Waitwaitwait, I read about this. The Morrus Vermincitius is an ambush predator relying on very obvious baits for a fresher prey."

BANG-BANG-BANG

The Rookie flushed out a large flat worm almost thrice her height with a whistle before riddling it with lead from her...revolver?

"Sorry for shooting you dead..." She sounded genuinely remorseful as she holstered her revolver. She sure got some quick hands.

"What's with the look?"

"Your gun, it is uuuh..."

"Non-standard issue? Oh but I do have a permission to possess one, see?" She pulled out her phone showing you a signed paper from the higher ups " I prefer my babies, they are so smooth and reliable." She must have a close relative up there since it was basically impossible to twist stable rules like so.

"Ookay? Can you bag up the elf so we can get out of there? "

"Sure!" Cathy got to work while you checked the nearby surroundings. The hint of a smoke trail in the east indicated a Feral Village in what should be designated as A-5. What else? Nothing, really... a higher viewpoint should allow you see what was around here.

"And done!" The elf was bagged up and ready, Back to base.

================================

It took about an hour to reach the infirmary thanks to the extra weight officer Cathy kept dragging. The body bag was quite durable so its contents remained the same.

" The review , please?" The Red head gave you an empty paper and a pen to write down your 'experience' with her "Don't forget the rating too!"

"Eeeeee! Thank you!" Cathy gave you an impulsive hug after your honest review. Her knowledge had probably saved you or any potential officer that you would indirectly dragged to their death.

You called Deleth to come here for her promised De-Tox. True to his word, The Arche doctor was reluctant to administer a murky blue syringe in her arm 'wasting precious resources' on your assistant.

"Give her a few minutes." Yaqesiro gave you a pat on the shoulders "...and thanks." You expressed your gratitude with a brief smile, your mind was fully focused on Deleth and the slowly disappearing cracks in her skin. Her sickly form was no more, She was as healthy as she could get right now.

"Thank you, Mr. Burden." Her voice was softer than before. It had to be that short Elverseer fuck who kept her on an Usnblood diet so she wouldn't fight back...you took a deep breath to dispel your inner rage.

" Don't sweat it. Let's get outta here. Place is giving me the creeps." The words of Ashton echoed in your mind...was Yaqesiro really a corpse fucker or this was some kind of slander?

=============================

For the second time, you went through the storage unit that you had inherited along with its owner's debt. Deleth did most of the work for you actually until she found something in a pouch bag hidden under stacks of old newspaper.

"What is this? " A droplet of Vaultblood? How did he manage to get his hands on it? There was something else too ...a lockbox with one clear message scratched all over it:

DO NOT OPEN!!!!! THE SUN IS HERE!!!!

+ Ominous Lockbox key

"Look what I have found..." The key was wedged in one of the corners, you only found it by accident when you looked up.

"What should we do, Mr. Burden? I think we should give the vial to Miss Rakko. Vaultblood is expensive." It was fifty stacks a pop so that should cover nearly two thirds of your debt if you want to go with this route.

" And the lockbox?" You asked for her opinion.

" It is...warm. I don't like it. A bomb? We should give it to security just in case."

You spent the rest of the night Hacking into camera #4 in your room while Deleth was watching the T.V. All the footage would have to be personally reviewed on the off chance something suspicious was going on in the warehouse.

" I'll get it." Your assistant was too busy enjoying a romantic movie to open the door right away.

+Kiss Card

"Huh?" There was no one at the door. Only a black card with a violet glittery kiss on the back. Naturally you turned to your assistant who had just finished the movie "What is this?"

"Oh." Her mood was instantly soured the moment you saw the card " I guess you are one of the lucky ones, Mr. Burden. Congratulations for the 50% off "

"Care to elaborate?"

" There are other elven girls like....me. Too pretty for manual labour so the Elverseer sends them to a friend of his: Hustler Hussy so they can...work in a special area in the Maw." With so many men in a facility that was somewhat secluded, it made sense for the Moonbeard to start this little project.

"Every six weeks, twenty of those cards are randomly distributed. Plenty of people go there on the regular when their shifts are over."

"Is it legal?" You had to ask.

"No, but no one cares, even director Dorr turns a blind eye because this 'stress relief' helps with the overall productivity of the facility. The card does expire tonight just so you know, Mr.Burden." Deleth had a point, pent up men could be dangerous men.

" You know what?" Instead of using the card yourself or selling it to elf enjoyers, you simply ripped it apart. The Kiss Card was nothing but a hook to reel in your precious Nopz. Deleth didn't need to say anything; her face told you everything on her mind. It was a very nice gesture that wouldn't be forgotten by your green haired assistant any time soon.

=====================

You decided to continue your tour by paying a visit to the Vice Director himself. Now, where was he at this time of the night?

The largest building in the facility was unsurprisingly the administrative one, the paperwork within these walls was insane by the looks of it. Everyone was working their ass off in one way or another.

"Oh, I forgot... Mr.Halaieth likes to change his desk office once every couple of weeks so we might have to ask around first."

"Just great." You were starting to notice a trend in P-31, there were a lot of weirdos clumped together here. It was never going to be easy for you, huh?

You and your assistant had trudged through several office cubicles to get to the right place to ask someone for directions. It wasn't like everyone wasn't helpful...they were just too busy to leave their work even for a few seconds.

The new office of the Vice Director was.... on the rooftop which had two rooms actually: a smaller one ( probably for the secretary) attached to the main room. Unfortunately for you, There was a long waiting queue of other employees. This was going to take a while.

The waiting became unbearable after an hour. You took solace in how fast the line was moving. They could have at least put some seats here instead of making everyone suffer from standing up for too long. Finally, it was your turn.

"Purpose of your visit?" The secretary had a touch screen ticket dispenser on her right. There were so many available options that you had to squint your eyes to find the right one.

"Socalizing."

Beep!

" You have two minutes." With a buzz, the secretary had unlocked the door where a very narrow pathway was waiting for you. Piles of oragnized paper were placed all over the office.

"What do you want ?" The baggy-eyed busy bee of the facility was in fact a privileged elf in a grey business suit with black rimmed glasses and a workaholic attitude to back it up. He didn't really look at you, instead, Halaieth was busy multi-tasking while occasionally taking a sip of hot Koyfin to maintain his full alertness. In fact, behind him was a large Koyfin dispenser and too many empty plastic cups to count. Personally, you never liked this fish extract capable of keeping someone awake for nearly a full day.

"Yes?" The bald elf tapped on a small counter on his desk, oh right, the timer.

>I am the new Blood Tester Burden Deo, this is my assistant, Deleth.

After introductions should we try to file a complaint about our illegal debt? Otherwise ask for some kind of access to files for a clue? Try to bribe him or someone else for 20 days worth worth of shift passes with the vaultblood?

I am not sure how we can find this cult in 20 days, which are further shortened by two shifts of work, without people we can trust and delegate work to. Deleth, this busy bee admin elf, the Quartermaster, Officer Cathy, The Doctor, Albea Tte Drill Mechanic chick we saved, etc.

Except the security officer who Albea brained was gay, but trying to make that woman strip at gunpoint as though it were sexual. Clearly looking for something on her which would throw some suspicion on Albea's family. Security was on high alert with three officers dead instead of two, and wouldn't even let us see their top guy. They know something is up. The Quartermaster seemed to think the top security guy should have become the top admin instead of Dorr.

I wonder if we could recruit this guy. Tell him the supply of Koyfin is going to be severed in x days unless he can help us find a traitor to the scarlet lords. Not quite saying the rocks will fall and cut everyone off, but it is true that NotCoffee wouldnt be coming in.

Though I feel like we need some more details. The psychology of a demon cultists for betraying the scarlet lords, if they have common markers for their followers on their body. What even happens once we find evidence of the cult? We call Karla and she sends in the hit team to wipe them out in the name of the Scarlet Lord while we get two tickets out of dodge for Burden and Deleth.

Siiiiiipppppp

" Mr. Burden, you are wasting our collective time. Your ticket clearly has 'Socalizing' on it. Please go back to the end of the line and pick the right one." The elf groaned loudly before taking another sip of his precious Koyfin.

"But-"

"My secretary will send you a prerecorded response for this recurring complaint on the way out. Anything else?" The elf brought some documents fron under the desk to sign without even looking at you this whole time.

"You must have a copy of that-"

"I don't like to repeat myself, Mr. Burden. Your ticket is reserved for socalizing only. Would you like me to define this word for you?"

"Mr. Halaieth, please give us a chance. This debt has to be illegal! It will ruin Mr.Burden livelihood! Just one minute of your tim-" .

SNAP

"You are out of tiime. Please see yourselves out." The busy bee had broken his pen into two as he kept breathing heavily. You had a feeling that he was trying so hard to repress his unfiltered rage. You almost wanted to bribe him or someone for tons of shift passes, good thing you didn't mention it in his current state of mind.

There was no way you would go back to this long ass queue. Instead, you listened to the prerecorded message the secretary had given you through your ID.

' Hello valued employee of P-31, This message will inform you of the difficulties you might anticipate during any legal proceedings with Chief Supplier Rakko. All lawsuit against her would take months in court whether the base of your case had solid foundation or otherwise. Chief Supplier Rakko would counter any case against her with a defamation suit so it is not legally wise to challenge her directly. Her grey-zone operations must be tolerated. Thank you for listening to this message.'

" Fantastic." You wanted nothing but to strangle the life out of this greedy Warf.

" Heh, first time? " An old janitor heard everything while mopping the floor.

" probably won't be the last." You muttered in defeat.

" You can make quick Nopz in the A-RINA . Just bet for the right elf." The old man gave you a wrinkled wink before resuming his janitorial duties.

" Don't tell me..."

" Yes, Mr. Burden. We have an elven fighting ring ran by Busty Buster ." Deleth confirmed it with a heavy sigh

You felt this urge to call Karla like a kid who had fucked up real bad running to his mom. Going to the bathroom seemed to be a fine idea. The stall was painfully small, you could barely move in there. Whatever.

"Come on pick up..."

"Oh, did you find the cult already, my hatchling?"

" No. I...I am lost. Nearly everyone is working against me in one way or another. I don't know where to start." You felt ashamed by admitting it to the old harpy.

" Hmmm, I ought to spank you real hard for calling me. You ruined my beauty sleep. "

"Karla, please, this is serious."

"Silly Burden, you can kill your problems away . As for clues, there are too many people in the facility so why don't you explore outside first?"

"That makes sense." Getting caught might be catastrophic though " You sure you don't want to help me? I am like two days away from starving here."

" Alright, Alright, calm down. Let me think of something." Karla paused for a split second " How much is your debt again?"

" seventy two stacks." As if you could forget this ridiculous sum.

The ultimate anti-sleuth weapon, protocols to get 2 minutes to talk to the people with authority and try and get a read on them.

Okay, a plan to kill Rakko. She brings around her posse of elf femboys when shes out, and probably at home too. The Mall still has no good cameras so thats a great place to kill someone, but lots of old electric wires they are trying to replace. We have already pinged the sprinkler system of the Mall, we just need to hack it.

Hack the Mall Sprinkler System > Learn where and when Rakko makes her rounds in the Mall, shouldn't be too hard as shes infamous > Open up some live wires in several spots, camera and wire systems there are still shit so we should be covered > Wait for the Rakko Party to enter a spot suitable to being electrocuted to activate the sprinkler system and they die in a tragic maintenance accident.

Will that work Checkpoint Guy and how many major and minor actions or can we just devote the next day or two to it.

With less than an hour before your shift, you wandered around with Deleth chatting about the movie she had just seen. She was embarrassed when she mentioned that all the movies that were available to her were 'educational' so she could learn a trick or two.

"Really? Going to the cinema is your biggest dream?"

"Yeah, what is wrong with that, Mr.Burden ?"

"Nothing, nothing." Your assistant sure thought small.

" Are you Burden Deo?" You were approached by three people, an elf in scanty clothes with a every recent black eyes and a broken nose, a security officer without his gun or his vest..hmm, off duty or did he skipped his shift? Last but not least, A very pissed off warf in a leather jacket looking out of place.

" That's me, whose asking?"

" You are the new blood tester , right? Suck this klussing foa-fief and tell me if she's got a runt inside her belly or not."

"Excuse me?" The Warf was speaking too fast.

"You heard me, Twarf. Our finest doc had run out of pregnancy testers. Hussy needs to know tonight what will happen to his 'Sparkle Water'. Do your thing then come to our office in the maw. No questions asked." You were aware that elven pregnancies were weird on their own but you lacked any further knowledge beyond this point.

" You stupid foa-fief..." The Warf angrily pulled her from hair to the ground so he could plummel her relentlessly with his two brass knuckles.

CRUNCH-CRACK

" YOU KLUSSING WHORE!!" Hussy's man had let it all out. In only a couple of punches, you heard her skull crack with blood all over her face. None of the nearby officers reacted to this beat down, you could sense that the third guy with them want to dropkick the warf and yet he could only watch in total silence.

"Hey, enough already!" You stepped in when she was knocked out cold.

"Stay out of this , Twarf! I am just tenderizing her for Hussy. " snarled the short guy clearly compensating for something before dragging her unconscious body with the help of the unarmed officer " Boss is only free by Abnight...make sure to stop by to get your shit."

With that said, The trio had left the scene leaving you wondering... did you sign her death warrant just now?

The rest of the paranight was uneventful, everyone was minding their business so you didn't get a chance to chat with anyone. Your assistant was shaken by this display of excessive violence. Her silence had troubled you greatly. Unfortunately, It was how the world worked: elves had inherently no rights unless they were privileged.

=========================

Abnight

You finally began your somewhat boring work. All you had to do was to sit in your tiny office in the same building where you met Chief Engineer Spinefield while sampling chunks of Therrblood mined from different veins.Depending on how pure/impure they were, they could be oragnized into different categories. The most pure of Therrblood would be used for power-hungry heavy machineries while the worst Therrblood could either be refined to commercial drink or use in electro-hemolysis powered devices. All the paperwork was delegated to Deleth, thankfully. You just had to tell her what was what.

Since there were so many chunks waiting for you combined with the fact that you used a shift pass tonight, one of Director Dorr's secretaries had sent you a notification through your ID with bad news.

"Overtime? Really? Ugh..." You rolled your eyes, fine, you had to work through all of these chunks....

A couple of hours had passed like red molasses, you could barely keep your eyes open until you saw a certain chunk housing a peculiar impurity. It looked like a black eye swimming in transparent solid blood. Not all impurities were undesired, some were perhaps even more valuable than these chunks. You were supposed to put interesting impurities in this box for a decent reward later. Sadly, you lacked the knowledge to determine how valuable this impurity was.

>Follow the rules and chuck this blood chunk in the box
>Take some risk by taking the blood chunk with you so you could chisel this impurity later

Hm I'm starting to regret voting to tell the truth to that guy. But I don't know if he'd be able to figure out she was pregnant otherwise or even how their pregnancies worked. Hopefully Deleth will understand we didn't know things were going to happen like they did.

My guy really didn't think 'sword of Damocles' over her head meant we didn't know she was about to get her skull busted when she was in with black eyes and a broken nose. If we sided with the elf we could maybe have gotten some info, people telling shit to their hoes in bed is pretty classic info source.

+black eyed Therrblood chunk

You kept your assistant busy as you tucked the chunk in a toolbox that was left in your office. You just had to play it cool, no one would notice.

After an eternity and a half , your shift was finally over. You and Deleth crawled back to the trailer for a well deserved good night sleep.

I suppose clearing missions is the ideal, and figuring out how to settle the debt and make the warf an ally is the side mission.

But the only ways I can think to do that are break cover, make it clear she will suffer the wrath of the Cthaii if our cover is blown and lose all her wealth before her life, but if she Cooperates she will get paid when we are done. Or offer to smuggle out the rarer pieces of thermablood but I imagine we would need a Lore skill point to identify, or do whatever service she offers to help settle it another way.

I suppose the breaking cover if her side job isn't too annoying. Frankly I'd rather just kill her, but I suppose it would be a waste to not clear a mission.

I'm gonna say +1 Persuasion since we set out to do talking and sleuth anyways.

Night 3 [18 Nights left]
Night [Night-> Paranight-> Abnight]

You woke up feeling awfully hungry, the fridge had ran out of blood in the worst time possible. The only edible food in the trailer was Deleth's disgusting Kipple...her pulsating veins did look mighty appetizing for one reason or another.

Pre-action

Sipfast
>Ask Deleth to share her Kipple with you
>Sink your fangs in her flesh for a sippy
>Leave the trailer without any sipfast

Eat and chat over some slop. Might be good to clear the air after that stupid vote I made.

I am hoping we could get a larger sample of Deleth's blood so we can see her stats and how shes recovering from the usnblood. We run on Deleth power now.

> Night and Paranight
>Go to Hustler Hussy [Abnight only!]

>Visit Elizker's former assistant in D-1, what did she know about Elizker, where did he get the ominous lockbox and see if she knows about his other possessions, why did she return to the mines
>Go to the infirmary, Check on Albea

Try to complete it and pump our stats again before we have to try to deal with Rakko. I also want to get outside to investigate the feral village, which means paying to go out there solo or hacking the guard tower lights this turn then hopping the fence another day.

If I had to guess Rakko is not a cultist just a greedy fucking warf I would rather kill. Money is no good to ferals and demons Its only good for civilization. So I think we can break cover and threaten this bitch that we can have her money taken and her life extinguished if she doesn't cooperate, but if she does cooperate we will see she gets the debt paid with extra, it would require quite a bit of silver tongue and luck. Then we could use her to get other stuff we want or to look into other people's finances and activities. Use her as our piggy bank to pay for trips outside instead of risking getting caught by jumping over the fence and hacking. And Shift Passes.

>>5785441
Take the other Vaultblood for more Persuasion, do the Syii mission for another point, then talk to Rakko with +4 Persuasion and get her on our side one way or another so we can pay our way to investigating the important stuff?

Also idea, maybe that therrblood electrician repair chick would know if the black eye impurity is good for devices.

"Of course not, Mr. Burden." replied your portable blood reserve extending her right arm to you. Personally, you would have gone for the neck if she didn't have her bomb collar on. It felt more natural to you this way.

Your first shift of the night was as one would expect, repetitive and boring. Due to the nature of your work, your blood sampling couldn't be larger than a grain so it didn't really keep your belly full. It did , however, wash that awful aftertaste from your sipfast.

As the shift was nearing its end, two security officers and one scary hellhound had paid you a visit " What do you want?"

" Just a routine search, you got nothing to fear if you are clean." Answered the rather unfriendly secuirty officer. The six eyed beast kept sniffing the office with its tail wiggling like crazy.

>[Say nothing]

Is the therblood chunk we set aside an issue? Idk seems like a chance for sleuthing to see how they react. Though if it is an issue, maybe use a very subtle feralist power to scare off the dog to see if that works? Well I think we can probably use persuasion to pass off anything they find as the work of the literal crazy guy who worked here last.

"This last guy the one who went crazy and beat someone to death with a therblood chunk. Left a damn mess but thats not the only thing I've noticed. I've noticed things are a little strange around here. Lot more people then I expected. The Elverseer with a dozen locks on his door. That latest incident with the Drillo. One of your officers was stripping this woman at gunpoint for sex, or so it seemed, as someone said he was gay. Caught him drilling someone named Pearls. So what was he really looking for? Demons?" *Laughs*
>>
>>5785862
>What are you guys looking for ?
Distract and deflect.

>>5785889
While using our feralist power could help, I can't help but get the feeling it'll explode on our faces.
>So what was he really looking for? Demons?" *Laughs*
pft, if this doesn't get a reaction out of them nothing will.
>>
>>5785889
>>5786680

" We are looking for Sier-phi, Kndblood, Tyrfoll, the usual illegal drugs." The nicer of the two officers answered your question. His buddy was preoccupied with his hellhound diligently sniffing your office out.

"You look like a nice guy so I will keep it simple: Commander Whergamm doesn't *really* like you so why don't keep your head down instead of 'noticing' stuff that wouldn't really amount to anything?"

"Why? I haven't done anything bad, right?"

"You saved that Drillo bitch who killed one of our boys. I should break your legs for it.." The Hellhound handler had strongly expressed his opinion about Albea " The office is clean... for now."

With that said, The trio had left allowing you to resume the last bit of work in relative peace.

=============

With less than an hour before your next shift, you had decided to go to the inner bowels of the Maw so you could speak with the elf that worked with you predecessor. The Elverseer said that she was somewhere in D-1. Better start asking.

" His assistant? Her name was... Jikeiyh I think? This one." A warf engineer on a lunch break had pointed to a lone elf swinging her modified axe with visible anger, she would almost let out a war cry with each vengeful strike against solid rock while working next to a very flimsy railing.

You could get a better look at her upclose, she had either shaved her head or she went to a one armed barber. She was slightly bulkier than Deleth probably from all of that work. Her toned arms were riddled with scars, some of which were very recent that had barely finished healing. A very crude ear prosthesis replaced her clipped one. Self made perhaps?

"Are you Jikeiyh?" You hoped that she would be able to hear you without the earmuffs " I just want ask a fe-"

"Not a rock to crack, Not a kipple to eat, Not a Vowder to snort, Not a tight one to peg. You are useless to me. Fuck. Off. " She had crazy in her eyes, the grip on her pickaxe had tightened as if she was ready to take a swing at you.

"You want Kipple?" The miner responded by spitting on your shoes. Deleth had instantly cleaned it for you with a piece of paper.

"You only need to answer a couple of questions for me and we will fuck off. How about that?"

"..." The resentful elf eyed you for a few seconds before replying " You look tight enough." She pulled out a metal rod from her tool belt " Do you think it will fit?"

SLAP

"H-how dare you?! You have stepped over the line!" Deleth was absolutely seething for the suggestion. Surprisingly enough, the elf didn't retaliate, instead, she said the following with a sly smile:

" I like to dominate men as they had dominated me and my sister. I am not apologetic about it." Jikeiyh was brutally honest causing your assistant to fume with anger even more " Want another kind of 'dirty work' ? Bring me Vowder. The *good* stuff. "

Hmmm well we are going to the literal Brothel later for Syii or not to Syii. I imagine someone in there has vowder or wants to be dommed, hell maybe they would want this crazy bitch as their go-to Dom Elf and she can leave the mines. She could get as much vowder and submissive men as she wants, everybody is happy. Thats clearly the mission, the best ending for this crazy bitch.

The Scarlet Lords liked our noble heart to do the detox mission for Deleth and rewarded us with some vaultblood. Now they would be happy if we take it up the ass, grab her some coke, or find her a sub, but passing our bluff check we invested in isn't good enough for them? Getting someone to do something for us without going on their fetch quest is more miraculous than spontaneous vault blood created by the Gods.

" The D Twins, you will find them somewhere in the Drillorail station. The week's pass phrase is ' Mine is in the Maw'. What are you waiting for? Fuck off already!" You won over your intrusive thoughts begging you to push her over the railing. You thought all oppressed elves were meek and docile...apparently not.

====================

" That elf should have known her place. You had every right to escalate it beyond just an exchange of insults, Mr. Burden." Once out of the Maw, Deleth was very vocal about what had just happened.

" Relax, Deleth. When you want something from some mutt, you call it Master for the time being, you get me?"

" I...alright, Mr. Burden. We will see what will happen with our 'Master'." Your green haired elf clearly didn't like the way you were thinking but she chose to go along with it " Where are we going? We have like fifteen minutes before the next shift."

" I want to check on...oh hey Albea." Wow, you didn't even need to go to the infirmary since she was just standing there out in the open.

" I have been looking for you." said the Wrench totting Drillo " What were you doing in the lower levels of the Maw?"

"Ehhh, long story. Wow, the doc wasn't kidding. You look healthy as a horse!"

" Not my first gunshot." Albea smirked " Jean is too small to carry me so I wouldn't have made it without you."

" Doing what's right, that's all." You shrugged " Just a heads up, Security isn't happy with you bashing one of their 'boys', Wher-"

"Whergamm can shove it up his ass." Her fangs were visible in a flash of anger " Enough about him, I... want to give you something for saving my life but I don't know what do you want...erm..."

============

Paranight

The workload of your third shift was somewhat manageable. This batch of chunks was absolutely trash riddled with impurities, not even worth to be processed. It was very possible that these chunks were mined from a nearly depleted vein. Whatever, your job was nearly done.

" Hey, Burden." A miner by the name of Timint entered your office, the harpy had been delivering Therrblood chunks on the regular so you already knew him on a surface level " Wanna play a round of Maw'em with us?"

"What’s that?"

" A betting card game, Mr. Burden. Created by the elves of the P-31. It is pretty popular around here. Three flash rounds, seven players, winner takes all." Deleth quickly explained the rules to you which sounded like an abridged version of poker set by a bunch of drunkards. It did sound like fun though.

"... So I can't get to be the Mawer?" You wanted to see what other players would put on the table. The Mawer's job was to determine if all bets were somewhat equal in value.

"Nope, the Mawer is always Quioo." The Harpy shook his head "Are you in or not?"

You and Deleth went to another room where a red table had five players casually chatting, you were familiar with some of them...especially that one.

" Mr. Spinefield? What are you doing here?"

" Having fun, what else?" Shrugged the radioactive Arche " What are you going to put on the table?"

"Money. That's all I got." It was a very risk gamble especially from someone who har never played this card game before.

"Roping the new guy into a table full of pros, really Timint ?" said the fattest guy on the table while slurping a sugar-high bloodbag.

"It will be a learning experience." The Arche smirked " Let get it Mawing!"

"Actually I know someone who might be your type named Jikeiyh..."

" Hah! Good one." Big Charlie laughed " Everyone here knows that Jikeiyh is one crazy bitch, she and Elizker were the perfect match, believe it or not."

"Huh." She did work here after all. You felt bad for thinking that Big Charlie was a certified sub just because he was fat.

+Black eyed impurity

When the shift was over, you returned to your trailer where you chiseled out the impurity hoping that it would be of value later. If not, then you had wasted away twenty minutes of your life. Next up, you headed to the station looking for the twins. The worker were extremely helpful pointing you to the right directions...underground? You had to go those dimly lit service tunnels right under the Drillorail until you had reached a dead end.

" Where is your modified axe?" A booming voice had scared the life out of Delelth, she instinctively coiled herself around your arm before backing away.

" Huh? Oh right. Mine is in the Maw." You almost forgot the Pass Phrase.

" Come in, fleshbag." The wall on your left began to slide away revealing something out of a horror movie.

A clusterfuck of wires, flesh, Therrblood chunks and... no way... a Typhblood Core . The logic/gravity defying Celestial blood. It was so volatile/dangerous to use that nearly all of its veins were collectively mined out and destroyed by the Dome cities with the approval of the Scarlet Lords a few hundred years ago. You couldn’t stop staring at the black-hole like core gluing this mostly Cybe amalgamation together.

"Hello, valued customer. How can D- BBRRRZZT MMRRGHH! SHUT THE FUCK UPP!" This room sized abomination had punched his cracked screen head with his working arm. Perhaps it was called the D Twin because of the second screen head? This one also cracked but it was flickering with static noises and garbled images "Make it quick already!"

"Mr. Burden would like to buy Vowder." Deleth took the initiative while you were still picking your jaw from the floor.

" 1500 Nopz or 99.7% Pure Therrblood Chunk or 5 Cybe scraps." The Cybestien had inserted one of his tendrils in its core pulling out a bag of red powder.

"You want discount? I can give you a discount, just put your hand riiight here..." One of his tendrils had wrapped around your arm pulling it to the logic defying core.

"O-on second thought, I will pay in full price, here." Losing your arm would be the least of your concerns upon touching the core. You might end up like him....or worse. If you had to guess, Dorr knew about this freak but she literally could not do anything. All destroyed veins were in an inactive state unlike the D Twins over there. Only the Scarlet Lords could undo an active Typhblood core....getting one to actually do it would be a near impossibility, they were gods afterall not errand gifls. As for why Dorr was allowing him to freely operate, you had no idea.

Well, you got the what you wanted. You would browse his fine collection later. Time to get out of here.

====================

Abnight

" You sure this is the right place?" You and Deleth were somewhere inbetween C-3 and C-4 (C-3.5?) Inside a very narrow pathway leading to nowhere.

"It *should* be here, Elverseer Hakodd had taken me there once." The elf didn't want to remember what happened that night falling silent shortly afterwards.

"What are we looking for?"

"A hatch, there." Your assistant had removed the purely hidden lid revealing a short ladder leading to a flight of stairs. Following this path, you were face to face to a certain establishment carved in stone, it was called 'The Hustle' with very provocative neon signs.

"Mr.Burden, can I leave? I am not feeling comfortable going there again."

> Sure, see you later.
> Nothing bad is going to happen to you. Just stick with me and you will be fine.

> Sure, see you later.
Last time we brought her somewhere she didn't want to go she just got harassed and we didn't gain much from it.

>> Sure, see you later.
True might as well let Deleth go home. I wonder if we should look into getting Deleth's bomb collar off as well. A promotion to privileged elf, or hacking it off.

You felt like it would be for the best to go inside this elven cesspool alone. Deleth wasn't needed here anyways.

The Hustle was exactly as you had expected from the inside lots of desperate men (and a few women) looking for any source of affection from scantily clad elves who were professionals at sucking every single Nopz of their clients ( among other things) . Thankfully, you weren't here for the pleasures of flesh. You were here to get your bloodstained reward.

A couple of bouncers had searched you before you could enter the big man's office overseeing the dance. They were totally cool with the bag of Vowder on you.

"There is my man!" Hustler Hussy was a Harpy with gold plated feathers, golden teeth...and pretty much everything on him. His place was probably more luxurious than Dorr's office. He clearly cared about his image more than anything "Come on, sit down!"

"Uh, hi." You sat down a large donut shaped chair made from the leather of some albino reptile, the glittering crystals on his flashy suit had temporarily blinded you.

"You know what I like about you? Honesty, that hoe was packing a couple of no-nos and you put the firecracker in her ass like WHAM! " The Harpy blew air inside his fist while slamming his desk, he was younger than you but the skin around his neck and ear feathers was sagging. He certainly didn't need his golden beaked cane, what a show off.

" What happened to Sparkle Water?" You were curious if she was still alive.

" I went CHOP CHOP CHOP CHOP on her ass. Turned her into a little nuggy and woosh! Dumped her outside the walls. Not my problem no more. hehehehe! Want some? You will piss out gold, guaranteed." He offered you some pristine wine in the moment you lost your appetite upon hearing of what had happened to the poor girl.

"No thanks." Something didn't feel right... there was no way Hussy could amass so much wealth, even his boss Hakodd looked much poorer than him . Nevertheless, you focused back to main reason you came here in the first place " One of your men said that you have something for me."

"That I do, feast your fucking eyes. BLING . "

" Hey there Burden-Boo, Do you want to be my daddy for tonight? I am Morning Dew, the first and the best." A smoking hot elf had entered the office wearing nothing but pasties and a thong that didn't really hide much.

" BLAM " One of the bouncers had pulled out an traceable plastic handgun with a box of ammo.

" BLOO " Hussy had pulled out a fat stack of Nopz from the desk "Pick one, baby."

>The girl
>The gun
>The money
>I don't want anything from you...like at all. Good abnight, Mr. Hussy
>Nah, It is cool. I am just happy to help.

Hmmm on the one hand the gun or the money have great value. Might be really handy to have the gun when we go outside again to check out the feral village which should have some good leads, and the mountain. Cash is always good.

On the other hand if Morning Dew is his most reliable elf she might be a good source of information on where, or who, Hussy is really getting his money from. I suppose we can always come back later and plow this elf into giving us the details, or atleast doing something to gain her trust.

'Yes Morning Dew I like to do a bit of role play to get warmed up. I am the Cthaii agent, and you are my sexy suspect. Where is Hussy really getting his money? Who does he meet with? Who does he talk about when he thinks no one is listening?'

I'd probably say gun, but I'm open to the arguments of money or girl. Maybe she will wants a ticket out of town or something, so we use our favor with the Drillo to smuggle her out on a sort of underground railroad type of deal, then she tells us what we want to know.

"An armed society is a polite society or some shit. Take it and feel the power!"

The handgun was exceptionally light almost like a toy gun. You didn't like its transparent design but as long as you could use it to defend yourself, you didn't really care about its appearance.

"Are those silver bullets?"

"You bet your Burden ass! You shoot to kill a bitch." exclaimed the bling-bling harpy " Is you satisfied?"

" I 'is'." You replied half-sarcastically.

"Good, now, let's get to business. Got a no-good bitch who got away a couple of weeks ago: Twilight Spring. I want you to track the hoe down before she gets on the next Drillorail."

"Huh? Isn't she an elf? Just track her bomb collar." You were confused.

"Bitch got the smarts, she got her grubby hands on some special kind of them Celestial blood mixing it with someone she probably killed so she would look exactly like them. I got her collar right here." It was fully intact meaning that someone had either unlocked it for her or she had the skill to free herself.

"So, what's the plan?" You still didn't see your role in all of this.

" Get the spider doc to help you. Gather blood samples, see if one of them match the hoe. " Hustler Hussy had already a small vial of his girl's blood.

"Are you seriously expecting me to somehow blood test the entire facility?" If you had to guess, the facility lacked any screening devices or tests to sus out the woman/man in disguise. The first and the most difficult hurdle in your way was to convince the doc to help you out. Hmmm...

"Not my problem. Find me that bitch, don't care how and I will pay you real good."

"I'll do it, but before next Drillorail huh? Gotta be honest with you Hussy without a few more Shift Passes in my pocket it sounds slim. Call it a business expense. If she got Celestial Blood like that she might have got more, might have to kill her if it comes to a fight. What else can you tell me about Twilight Spring?"

Damn, now that sounds like a nice ally to have if we can find her. Fake her death and recruit her route. Talk to that drillo family lady who can 'repair anything' that runs on therroblood as she seems a likely person who could remove a collar, or know someone who can. Bring it up as naturally as we can 'My Deleth probably can't be promoted to privileged elf, but I'd like to know if theres someone who could unlock the damn collar so she can sleep better.'

Security did mention there being a third officer death. Find her last or favorite customer. A good hiding place without many people around like the weather report building with the shut-in lady. Or I guess do another Doctor favor for his help in one or two ways. Someone who deals in Celestial Blood or has the means to get some.

Wow, we are already at page 9? I guess we will continue in the new thread sometime tomorrow. If it is possible, can you archive this one with Burden Deo as one of the tags?

Other than that, discussion time! If you got any questions or the like, ask away!
>>
>>5793808
I'm not familiar with archiving, how is it done? How do you think Burden Deo is doing so far? Deleth's two hidden stats, will that actually require two more vaultblood to unlock or just one? Who would have been the agent already in P-31 if we had chosen that option? When you say a human's feral form can shrug off minor injuries are we talking some bullet holes in the limbs or bruises and cuts? Should I tone back some of my write in suggestions?

Hes got his deadline, but I think if he can eliminate Rakko as a possible demon cult suspect he can get a lot more done by tempting her with some Cthaii agent dosh, and threatening her with the authority behind him for extra measure. Winning that poker game really helped since with a 1 Slip Pass and 1 Shift Pass he could spend two time slots outside to check out the mountain view and then the feral village for some clues there to narrow the suspects.

I'll archive it if no one else has in a day or two.
>I'm not familiar with archiving, how is it done?
Just go to https://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive.html and click the Request Interface button by the Add Thread section. Put in the thread number/tags/description and press the "Go!" button when done. It's honestly not as hard as it sounds.
Just a heads up you don't need to download anything to archive. The reason why it's offered is so you can save the thread on your own computer as a backup.

>>5793861
Ah that was simple, I got it.
>>
-Well, Burden is getting to know the facility bit by bit, we are still in the first couple of days so no major breakthrough should be expected

-Burden already knows what the ahem stat is, he just can't spell it out since we are in a blue board. As for the other stat he has to invest in his blood tester stat ( civvy) to figure it out.

-probably a new character with a lot of access to the rest of the facility. While there are some established plot lines in mind, I usually wing it

-non lethal bullet holes ( no head/heart/lung shots) , cuts and bruises. Burden won't die from blood loss in his feral state, think of it as uber adrenaline rush with minor increase in strength and endurance.

-oh please don't, I appreciate this sort of interactivity. The chaotic element of unpredictability is the essence of quests imo.

I would say that we really out ought to keep our identity as a secret, not to use it as a trump card. We are not FBI, more like deep state agents. As a player, You can do whatever you want to achieve your goals

Thank you!

lol. I've seen some of what flies on this blue board. Tastefully done its a fine means for the romance in quest storytelling, I wouldn't worry or be against it. Deleth must be quite enthusiastic at Ahem 7, more than double her kindness or efficiency. Though perhaps not as high as Mission Backdoor Elf, but maybe Deleth just handles it better.

So much vaultblood to get so little time. Lore for the therrblood irregular chunk, for The Sun, for demon cult knowledge, and more. Civvy for Deleth's hidden stat and the day job. Persuasion and Sleuth. The Combat and Feral stats. Though if theres an obvious character or area for lore research I suppose it might be the weather chick we havent met yet? Some kind of Archives? Or Karla.

Would it be possible to hack that cybe mutant thing, the D Twins? I bet they could cause quite a bit of havoc with that Typhblood Core.

Oh right, is there actually a movie theater in P-31 or did Deleth mean seeing a movie in the Dome? How hard would it be to get Deleth a promotion to Privileged Elf, or to buy her slave contract?
>>
>>5793936
I want to avoid the 'just Google it lmao' approach. We have to earn whatever Knowledge we can find. Alternatively, leveling up stats is your key to success.

Yeah, let's not touch a living blackhole for the lolz. It could be considered as a samson option though.

Dome city=/= p-31. Deleth wasn't born and raised here, she must have lived in thw dome city in the past. We are in a relatively small mining facility. No theatres though. As for her current state, better ask Director Dorr/Vice Director/Hakodd about it.
