You are the mighty lackadaisical isekai gods! Otherworldly gods like you have few worries, but you do have one. The Demonlord is destroying worlds! It isn't really that big of a deal in the big picture since you can make worlds far quicker than he can destroy them, but... But! He's nasty and stinky and somehow he's really good at picking your favourite worlds to be destroyed! What a detestable fiend! You've all had the brilliant and fun idea to isekai a champion from your other worlds that the Demonlord isn't destroying!

You'll shower them with cheat skills and they'll defeat the Demonlord! It'll be great! There's just one big issue though! The Goddess of Chance is his lover! You don't know what she sees in that disgusting destroyer, but because of her your champion can't just steamroll the Demonlord, you've got to be careful about what skills you bestow, for each skill you give, he gets his own twisted version!

>Welcome to Isekai Gods Quest, a game with three phases. Each phase you roll 3d7 luck and 1d100 loyalty.

>Arrival
In this phase, you vote for a champion and make skills, the journey also starts with the Arrival of the champion and the Revelation of the Demonlord's skills. You have three skills to give, each made up of up to three words. The Demonlord gets his own twisted version of whatever skill you give. Sometimes it'll just be a reversed one, sometimes the opposite and sometimes the skill is a direct counter, luck effects this, with each level of luck below normal resulting in a skill being a direct counter.

If you give the champion a Invincibility skill, the Demonlord might gain a Vulnerability skill (that is to say a skill that can make your champion vulnerable). In general when we have a case of the spear that pierces all Vs the shield that blocks all, the Demonlord will win because of the Goddess of Chance. Regression or looping skills might seem attractive, but because of the Goddess, even if the Demonlord loses his equivalent, he'll still stack skills when the champion regresses or loops. In essence, the trick is pushing your luck to see how cheating of a skill you can get without giving the Demonlord as much of a cheat.

Note that a passive skill that changes the champion on isekai can be removed without losing the benefits, one born a dragon will remain a dragon! Speaking of removal, there's one chance to tip the scales in your champion's favour.

>Journey
In this phase, you'll make a choice that might tip the scales in your champion's favour, but we'll get into specifics when that rolls around.

>Confrontation
In this phase, the Demonlord tempts your champion, and if their loyalty is too low, they betray you and join hands with the Demonlord. Victory is yours if the champion can logically beat the Demonlord with their skills.

With those explainations out of the way, here are your candidates for this round, note that if your chosen skills fit a champion well, the skill can become an EX skill, a benefit the Demonlord won't get! For this round, it'll be fairly traditional possibilities. One last thing, depending on a champion's wish, you can change their starting loyalty, potentially fixing it or ignoring the first loyalty roll.

>Loyalty Roll: Unchanged
>Luck Roll: Lucky, None of the Demonlord's skills are a direct counter.
>Note that giving descriptions of skills will be ignored, supernatural attraction could be the other kind of attraction after all. I'll be merciful this time, but in the future you'll figure out how the skill got interpreted from the prose.

Fumiko appeared in a large hall mostly dominated by bearded virgin gentlemen, that is to say wizards. There was however a bearded man upon a throne with a crown. A king.

"Welcome Champion of the Gods! Wait, this is the champion, what a pitiful adorable creature! Quick get her some proper clothes and warm food!"

What followed was a whirlwind of spoiling, and had she different qualities, her adventure may have ended there, as it was she took on more and more responsibilities that various talented people kept trying to take away from her to give her time to relax, she'd always find something else to do, and amid spoiling and documents, she found herself the mascot of a crusade.

She had serious misgivings about most of the populated world (animals and monsters included) joining a grand crusade with her as the head, but she was never any good at saying no.

As the highly motivated and, thanks to Fumiko's skill, logistically sound crusade punched through the Demonlord's army screaming 'for the divine maiden!' , the gods finally learned what skills the Demonlord had received.

Profane Musk
Pride
Perilous Jinxer

The crusade took to wearing gasmasks that Fumiko helped invent, as the Demonlord army was increasingly found to be wearing suits filled with a stink that would send non-demons into an amorous coma. Casualties were high as simple mistakes led to disastrous consequences and the demons had morale almost as unrelenting as the crusade. Fumiko wept a few tears, but was quickly comforted in the evenings by the handsomest and strongest braves of the crusade. She convinced herself the meatgrinder was necessary.

Still, while Fumiko brainwashed and had her morals twisted by her reverse harem of researchers and warriors, the Gods had other concerns, for one thing, that Pride skill looked ominous.

They weren't quite sure of the Demonlord's skills, and it was time for the champion to be tested!

Journey Phase
The last chance to tip the scales in your champion's favour before the confrontation!

On jackpot the effects are replaced with either an unconditional extra three word skill, or removal of a Demon Lord's skill. On Doom, the champion dies.
Choose between the following options.

1/2
>>
Rolled 29 (1d100)

>>5770103
>Beast: Heartless Sightless Rabbit of Carnage
A regular foe that if defeated evolves a skill by adding an extra word to the front or end. Evolve an extra skill for each luck level above normal. When luck is below normal, a skill loses a word, more skills losing words for each level.

>Brave: TDH ranger
An ally that counts as an extra one word ability, add a word for each luck level above normal. However during the confrontation if luck is below normal they reveal themselves as a traitor, but only if the champion hasn't betrayed. If the champion betrays, and luck is high enough, depending on the Brave's ability victory can still be found. If Journey luck is below normal, one of the champion's skills must be exhausted to enlist the Brave's aid.

>Beauty: Young Pretty Pope of the Gods
An ally that increases loyalty and luck rolls by one level. Rescuing the beauty exhausts one skill, at Super Lucky and above journey luck, ignore this demerit. During the confrontation if luck and loyalty rolls are both negative, the beauty is revealed to be the demon lord's child, lowering the champion's loyalty by two levels. If the champion hasn't betrayed the gods, the champion gains a one word skill on this revelation.

>Minion: Elite Fumigants
A weak band of foes that increases loyalty when slain. Each luck level above normal further increases loyalty. Each luck level below normal instead lowers loyalty.

>Mystic: Mad Wizard of the Hummus Labyrinth
A lunatic who switches a demon lord's skill with one of the champion's. Each luck level above normal allows a word to be freely switched. Each luck level below normal results in a skill being randomly switched.

>Monster: Nosepope of Stank
A tough foe that if defeated strips the Demon Lord of a random ability. Exhaust a skill to slay. For each level above lucky remove an extra ability. For each level below normal also removes a champion's ability.

Just right. Next round after the confrontation will have more unusual champion candidates, I might make the loyalty a bit more unforgiving, but I'll do a few worlds before trying that.

This looks like a cool quest concept! I was concerned that it might've been a spam quest when I saw Iskeai in the title and ignored it at first but on reading it, these mechanics are ingenious! I'm not going to participate in this round, I think, but I'll definitely be voting on the next.

>Beast: Heartless Sightless Rabbit of Carnage
>Current Loyalty: Willing
She was quite worried when she received a revelation that she had to slay a beast before confronting the Demonlord. By this stage however, she had gotten used to sending people to die for her.

Not far from the Demonlord's castle was the hunting grounds of the beast. Gnawed trees were the first sign. Bones were the second, and within a valley picked clean of greens, there it stood.

The beast of carnage.

It was clearly a rabbit, but when she saw it, Fumiko couldn't call it cute. A mountain of muscle in the form of a rabbit, broken weapons of fallen braves decorated its black pelt. She fainted as soon as it cast its murderous eyes on her.

Seven days and seven nights did the crusade throw their numbers at the prideful beast, yet as it gained wounds, it weakened not. Weeping from its wounds came a foul musk, sign of the Demonlord's favour, and many fell to be dragged away by the beast.

Fumiko found herself powerless, all she could do was comfort the wounded and inspire the whole. There was no other way for her to assist, but her presence was indispensable to the crusade's morale. Finally after many battles, the beast died, but it weakened not even to the end, dying standing. So baleful was the beast that a few still died of fright checking to see if it was still alive.

With exhausted half-hearted cheers, the crusaders cheered, there was now a clear path to the Demonlord's castle. Yet as they began the final assault, the gods held council.

They had one last chance to change fate. As before, the Goddess of Chance appeared before them, untouchable as always, lovely as always, detestable as always.

"Like, Hubby has totally got this in the bag, what even is this weak champion of yours, I mean really, those skills?"

She tittered covering her mouth with golden hand, twirling her shining locks.

COURT OF FATE IS NOW IN SESSION!
>Supernatural attraction? My Hubby has too much Pride! She'll get jinxed and wake up with bad hair! Like totally! It's her who should like watch out for hubby's perfume!

>Unassuming? Isn't it obvious who she is? Just like get the one surrounded by the buff dudes lol!

>Indispensable? I guess Hubby can keep her as a side piece while he wrecks this world!

>No killing power, like some strumpet mascot is gonna be enough to take down my man!
>It's like enough to take down the army, but she's gonna fall to Darling Hubby!

>The scales of fate are wavering, the Goddess of Chance is claiming victory

>Refute her lest the power of fate be against your champion!
The plausible victory needs stronger logic depending on the Luck roll, the more unlucky, the stronger the case needs to be. Really bad luck might make even a clear victory unlikely!

On that note, roll 3d7 Luck and 1d100 loyalty!

The Demonlord offers half the world and if the Champion's loyalty is at Disloyal or below, they accept. The Demonlord betrays them of course, except if the Beauty is revealed as his child.

711+ Ultra Lucky Champion Gains a one word Skill
611+ Super Lucky All Champion Skills Regained and refreshed
511+ Lucky Champion is favoured

311+ Unlucky Demonlord is favoured
211+ Black Fortune All Demonlord Skills Regained and refreshed
112+ Grim Fate Demonlord gains a one word skill

He can keep her as a side piece for all we care, but the Goddess of Change better watch out if he does!
>>Unassuming? Isn't it obvious who she is? Just like get the one surrounded by the buff dudes lol!
Unassuming for whom?
>>Supernatural attraction? My Hubby has too much Pride! She'll get jinxed and wake up with bad hair! Like totally! It's her who should like watch out for hubby's perfume!
Like most OLs, she's woken up with bad hair single every day since she turned 23.
>>No killing power, like some strumpet mascot is gonna be enough to take down my man!
>>It's like enough to take down the army, but she's gonna fall to Darling Hubby!
Unassuming for whom, again? (Goddess of change may be making a bold assumption herself here)
What if, Himehime was not a weapon tuned to merely fight the demon lord, but a weapon tuned for something much more dangerous? (how much of this we share with the Goddess of Fortune, of course, might be a delicate matter)
>>
>>5771215
on second thought I regret using Satania as the mascot for that roll.
But perhaps we want her to show a bit of loyalty to the Demon Lord.
>>
>>5770985
>But pride is exactly why he would fall for her attractiveness, as her otherworldly manner makes her even more desirable, does it not?

>She's FoxIslander wage worker, dear Luck, she's tiny and meek. Those are dime a dozen, among the sea of bodies, it is not easy to find her.

>A side piece? She is indispensable, but what are you? Just some hag bimbo who showers him with gifts. You are going to be simply turned into a sugar mama cuck queen, betrayed like all who aligned themselves with devils.

>Ok, I'll be honest, that one I'm not sure about. The shitposting demons keep spamming my inbox and I didn't get the invoice to join the champion council in time to put forward my proposal.
>I guess her mission was never to defeat the demon lord in combat? Her goal was babies after all, and if the Beauty is anything to go by, his children might be a weakness of the demon lord. Worse come to worst we can get a future candidate for the next world. Fight fire with fire and all.
>>
>>5770985
>It is because of his pride that he can't resist temptation, a goddess is not enough for him.
>The men she hides behind are twice the size of her, he will have to get through them first.
>He can keep her around, that gives her greater opportunity to plot his demise, she didn't survive in the office without experiencing a little bit of cloak and dagger.
>She may be weak but she has the ability to bring out the strength of others, we didn't choose her because of direct combat ability.

>Luck Roll; Lucky! Champion is favoured!
>Loyalty Roll; Champion is shaken! Loyalty at Wavering!
>Weighing the scales of fate.

Fumiko had actually been worshiping the gods, FoxIslanders always had a curious case of lip service to deities, attending shrines while being faithless, but she genuinely adored what these otherworldly gods had done for her.

The she received the oracle.

Seduce the Demonlord. She understood in a way, she had been having doubts about the natives being able to kill the Demonlord by merely being hyped up by her presence. She had read about the importance of morale in the Art of War by Moon Ust, but was it truly enough? Considering her skills, she understood, but having tasted the fruit of adoring reverse-harem, her heart was bitter.

The Demonlord's castle was breached, and there in a dark throne room, he sat. Suited in armour of night and day, a helm that exposed a pair of tar-like horns and a halo of luck behind him. Only the blistered tentacles slipping from the cracks in his armour revealed that he was less than humanoid.

"Fall before me"

He stood, and [Profane Musk] activated! Yet only a few braves had their equipment fail, falling into incubic dreams. The Demonlord put a hand to his chest.

"Come my [Pride]!"

He drew a shining blade from his chest, formless form, his pride made manifest in a weapon of slaughter. What followed was death, oh, the crusaders fought to the last man and woman, but how could mortals defeat a demi-god? Perhaps the result would have been different if it was a force stronger than attraction that fed their morale. But while [Super Attraction] didn't push them beyond their limits, at least none begged for mercy.

None but Fumiko.

She could have hidden among the corpses, her [Unassuming] would surely have hidden her right up to the destruction of the world. But she revealed her pitiful self. She had to seduce him, it was the only way.

"Ah, truly an [Indispensable] treasure of the gods, now mine for the taking"

She quivered at his presence, and it was only because she was [Indispensable] that her mind didn't crumble under the [Profane Musk].

The Demonlord treated her gently, he was actually a charming gentleman in behaviour. He even paused his efforts at world destruction to woo her. Yet what really shook her faith in the gods was when she saw him without armour.

She was supposed to seduce that? She actually vomited in front of him, but he merely laughed. Oh gods, was he into that? Was the gentlemanly thing just an act?

Regardless, if it was an act or not, the charm was just enough to get her to put on her own act, and he held little caution, [Unassuming] and weak as she was. After all his efforts, and a lavish wedding, the night of coitus was the last. In one moment he let down his guard, and she plunged poisoned hairpin into his core. Her skills kept her from retaliation, and she wept for the disgusting monster she had fallen in love with...

Legend has it in the world of Mell that in the ruins of the Demonlord's castle lives a seductive witch and her children, and that all who venture there never return...

The gods, not caring about leaving behind a heartbroken champion, considered this all a great victory, as per usual the Demonlord would be unable to visit a world he had been repelled from, and he would take some time to reassemble. The Goddess of Chance snorted cutely and declared that next time would be different and everyone laughed at her.

But while they revelled time moved on, and mortals once again betrayed their own world. In the world of crystal auroras, Daidagg, cultists summoned the Demonlord!

It was time once more to call upon a champion!

Name: Sacred One

Background: A fern
Strengths: Photosynthesis, Adaptability of the Fern, Optimistic, Relentless
Flaws: Immobile, Incapable of Speech
Wish: Sunlight, Water, Nutrients
Starting Loyalty: Devoted
Isekai Method: Dug up and eaten by a Magic Fungushog
Skills;
>Worldly Balance Regulator
>Sacred Gift Provider
>Dryad Protector Budding EX

One moment, in that muted drawn out sense of pain that plants have, it was being eaten. It didn't really understand, though as its mind expanded from being soaked in the magical saliva of a pile of fungus vaguely reminiscent of a hog, it understood that this was were the other roots and plants it sensed went. It had been glad to no longer by crowded, but it wasn't going to enjoy freer access to nutrients.

Then dull as its senses were, it felt the touches of the divine. Even a plant could tell that much. Light greater than any sunlight, liquid greater than any water and nutrients greater than any bounty of the soil.

Greed wasn't the right word for its reaction, neither was gluttony. Being a fern, it just knew, that it had to absorb as much as possible for the sake of survival. Survival was its strongest instinct. In the budding mind of this life, its first true conscious thought was gratitude.

Truthfully, this level of purity was painful to some of the gloomier gods.

Filled, it was gently planted, not in soil but in shimmering crystal of colours endless in a valley of mirrors that now reflected the fern.

[Worldly Balance Regulator]

Without this, would it have taken root? Now however it felt a connection. As it grew, it knew.

This world was its roots now. An through that, it sensed the threat to its survival, to the roots survival. The Demonlord. Deep within the core, he was gnawing, a wurm eroding the foundations.

The Gods received a revelation as soon as the fern became aware of the Demonlord.

[Chthonic Crooked Corrupter]
[Subordinate Essence Theft]
[Fungal Jesters Defecation]

Somewhat straightforward in terms of abilities, fungal jesters didn't sound that bad. This was practically in the bag already right?

The fern quietly grew, mirror images it's light, the world its nutrients and colour its water. Soon the first of the fruits of [Dryad Protector Budding EX] was born. Deep underground a flower unfurled butterfly-like petals.

A divine lady of crystal and flora, a natural work of art, daughter and avatar. She was the fern and yet not the fern. The sole offspring of the fern, born for a single purpose.

Protecting the world.

The fern had not sensed any life on the crystal world, but perhaps the natives had some way of shielding themselves from its senses, or maybe it was looking for the wrong kind of life.

She received its power from [Sacred Gift Provider] with this, she assuredly would accomplish her task. She began her journey to the centre of Daidagg, the jewel world, her and its new home...

>Beast: Knot of Knowing
A regular foe that if defeated evolves a skill by adding an extra word to the front or end. Evolve an extra skill for each luck level above normal. When luck is below normal, a skill loses a word, more skills losing words for each level.

>Brave: Stranded Beyonder
An ally that counts as an extra one word ability, add a word for each luck level above normal. However during the confrontation if luck is below normal they reveal themselves as a traitor, but only if the champion hasn't betrayed. If the champion betrays, and luck is high enough, depending on the Brave's ability victory can still be found. If Journey luck is below normal, one of the champion's skills must be exhausted to enlist the Brave's aid.

>Beauty: Hive in Stasis
An ally that increases loyalty and luck rolls by one level. Rescuing the beauty exhausts one skill, at Super Lucky and above journey luck, ignore this demerit. During the confrontation if luck and loyalty rolls are both negative, the beauty is revealed to be the demon lord's child, lowering the champion's loyalty by two levels. If the champion hasn't betrayed the gods, the champion gains a one word skill.

>Minion: Demons of Echoes
A weak band of foes. At normal luck increase loyalty at luck each level above normal further increases loyalty. At each luck level below normal instead remove a word to increase loyalty.

>Mystic: Reflectionless Sorcerer
A lunatic who switches a demon lord's skill with one of the champion's. Each luck level above normal allows a word to be freely switched. Each luck level below normal results in a skill being randomly switched.

>Monster: Fungal Jester
A tough foe that if defeated strips the Demon Lord of a random ability. Exhaust a skill to slay, ignore this at Lucky and above. For each level above lucky remove an extra ability. For each level below normal also removes a champion's ability.

>Sacred Gift Provider Evolves; Permanent Sacred Gift Provider
Deeper did she descend, avatar of the fern, the innards of the jewel world ceased to be mere crystal. Joy and delight, made manifest in materials, one could lose themselves in the kaleidescope of earthen emotions. The fern had its first glimpse of the native life of this god's bauble.

No wonder it couldn't sense them. Ghostly sprites, a moment of laughter born and dead within seconds, fuel to the joy and delight. A being that existed only for a single gasp of goodness. One could call it pitiable or enviable, but the fern made no such judgements, it's only thought was that such a life could never preserve the world, its new roots.

Most of the rest of the spiritual life the dryad came across as it climbed deep through tunnel and sea of sparkling nous was of similar transitory nature... yet...

Before the deepest depths, it and she felt a disharmony, and led by this sense, they found distortion. One life had witnessed the Demonlord, and in doing so broke from the cycle of laughing death and rebirth. It twisted in on itself, a being formless possessing only tainted knowledge it was never meant to have.

That a being could live for more, that a being could destroy.

A wail of despair and knowing.

The Knot could not become undone, not without aid.

"Are you not alive?" The Avatar asked.

To live is torment, so howled the Knot.

"I do not understand"

How could you, not knowing, so wept the Knot.

"I feel the wurm twist in our roots, gnaw, this is torment"

A cruel joke, all of this, so cried the Knot.

"What is a joke?" She and it did not know.

Seeing as she did not know, knowing that it did not know, the Knot loosened, for as great as the ignorance of both was, the fern's was grander than the Knot.

"Do you know? My parent was eaten, and then came here. I was born to end the wurm"

The knot unravelled with the knowledge of hope.

It was no more, and the dryad felt her gift take root, that none might steal it away. She would give it freely, and matters would come to an end.

Deeper still she went, past caves and lakes of joy and delight, to the core of the world, Daidagg, whose crystal auroras once existed only for the amusement of the divine.

In the celestial realms, court was held once more, in sauna of hewn Daidagg this time, in heated mist of satisfaction. The gods basked in this creation sourced from the world at peril.

Though, one goddess had not the mind to enjoy it. Her beautiful brow was not diminished by her frown, and once more the divine detest for the Demonlord who stole the heart of the fairest of them all arose in those present.

"H-hubby, still has this! His body is super duper strong this time around! Y-you'll see!"

Silent smirks were the only replies she received.

A reminder of the skills

Worldly Balance Regulator
Permanent Sacred Gift Provider
Dryad Protector Budding EX

vs

[Chthonic Crooked Corrupter]
[Subordinate Essence Theft]
[Fungal Jesters Defecation]

So let me argue against her arguments

>Worldly Balance Regulator? Hubby's CCC is all over that, y-yeah! It'll totally tip the table! Like yeah!
He can flip the table all he wants, but Fern's skill is all about making it land upright again, as if nothing happened! Everything that he corrupts will just empower the side of good!

>Permanent Sacred Gift Provider? What even is that! Hah as if some puny gift is gonna do anything! Like no way. Total outnumbered, Hubby's gonna just take everything else! R-right!
But what is a gift? Anything that is given, of course. Power, skill, knowledge. It being sacred, means that it's naturally a blessing, the counterpart to demonic influence! And it can't even be stolen or siphoned by the demon lord, as it is permanent!

>Dryad Protector Budding EX? Hehe, just wait and see! The jester will have like, the last laugh and stuff!
What, the fungal jester? The fern was once eaten by a fungus, but it knows the cylce of life is to eat, grow, die and be eaten. Were once the fungus ate the plant, now the plant shall eat the fungus. After all, as both a defector and composer, the Jester will simply empower the dryad by granting her fertilizer!

>An avatar isn't enough! It isn't, it isn't, it isn't! Your stupid herb will lose! Because I said so! Get unlucky, get unlucky!
It is not any simple avatar, it is also the fern's daughter and protecetor. It is a dryad, the spirit of the grove. And, her ancestry goes beyond being born out of the champion, as the fern's origin as alranue love means that even before, it had traces of nature. And that is without counting on any empowerment form the Gifts, the Balance, and the Manure!

She could not see the Demonlord, the core was wiped clean. Yet, the fern could feel him gnawing, so what was before the avatar was false void. Laughter escaped from the illusion. The foe could not help it, laughter was part of its nature.

Just walk forward. Nothing can stop what is to come. As she walked, the laughter continued nervously and there was a shattering, and two beings were revealed.

A grand world eating wurm, a monster of Dawn and Twilight, of bulging scales and writhing tentacles. This was the form the Demonlord took, coiled around a ruined city, and through the avatar, the fern saw what had become of the natives people of this world.

A ruined city filled with robed crystal skeletons bowed in supplication, why did a whole race sacrifice themselves to summon the Demonlord? Not one trace of life remained other than the prime servant of the Demonlord.

The Jester blocked the way. Fungal flesh grown on a skeleton of prismatic crystal, the tatters of a habit of emotions rippled on its form, long since shredded by excessive laughter. In its hand it held what once had been a grand staff of authority, shattered to become a fool's baton.

It smiled, and the smile slashed. The dryad did not attack or dodge, she was not made for combat. Her flesh was rent, but she continued, barely sparing the jester a glance. More smiling slashes, laughter that burned, but though she bled sap and lost limbs, she moved on.

Even when her legs were broken, the divine soil became new legs, and onward she went, closer to the Demonlord. The jester grew more frantic, tricking space, and juggling wounding, but the advance could not be stopped, and finally the laughter was silenced by a cry of soul wrenching agony.

The Demonlord had stopped gnawing. He had turned his eyeless maw to the dryad, he had taken back the power of the jester, and from his maw came corruption, calamity, twisting all into his image, vomit of himself. The avatar was submerged in a sea of wurms, torn to pieces faster than the divine soil of the core could patch up.

There was no laughter, no struggle, only the Demonlord, who did not return to devouring the world from its roots. A great unease was in his mind. Had his form been less monstrous in this world, perhaps he would have figured out from whence his disquiet came, as it was, as his corruptive bile seeped into the land, he saw it.

A small green sprout. The gift of the fern.

He did try to move, he was even going to flee this world, but it was too late, the sprout grew into vine, the vine into vines, and his body was pierced. The irregular would be regulated.

1/?
>>
>>5775343
The howls of the Demonlord's pain were drowned out by the joy of growth, the gift spread through the core, sent branches and roots through the world, surfacing as shimmering trees, brimming with life purified from the Demonlord's mighty ichor, they swelled with fruit, and the fruit were living beings, innocent replacements for those who had forsaken their own world.

The gods were pleased by how long the Demonlord suffered extraction from the fern's gift, so the world was awash with their blessings, and trials from the Goddess of Chance there was no shortage of, as she was incensed by the Demonlord's condition.

But centuries later, as the Demonlord became a withered husk and finally died, the attention of the divine finally left, leaving the fern as the sole divinity of Daidagg.

It peacefully grew and nurtured the world, but now it knew sorrow, as its only daughter had died, but it hopefully checked each fruit that fell from the trees to join the grand civilization the first fruits had founded.

The fern hoped that one day, she would be born again...

All worlds have their own time, and in the passing of celestial time, the Demonlord was nursed back to health by his lover, the Goddess of Chance. He would return to his grim task of hopeless destruction.

>Having humiliated the Goddess, next round all luck rolls will be treated as one level lower.

The deities who were into that sort of thing began to divine what world the Demonlord would strike next!

>Mirror land Wonderbliss
There must be countless worlds named Wonderbliss, and quite a few of them are even mirror lands. Still, this one belonged to Fufufo.

You all were gathered together lazing about, idly playing a game of gods. Ever since you all had drawn the short straws back in barely remembered time, you stuck together, companions in misery, now known as the Anti-Demonlord Pantheon. Dealing with the Demonlord was a pain, but it was true that you were on better terms than most pantheons, unified by hatred for the Demonlord and baffled pity (and secret love for some) for the Goddess of Chance.

So, there you all were enjoying half-seriously playing with the fates of favoured mortals when a frantic goddess burst into the gameroom.

Short.

Flat.

Her hair was a sparkling bush of sapphire, one eye a black sun, the other a red moon. Divine doves chirped from within her hair, and her toga of silver lovers was in disarray, the patterned lovers were despondent. Among humanoid goddesses, she was certainly one of the flattest and shortest. She was still a beautiful goddess of course, to the extent that her tear streaked face was still lovely. The Anti-Demonlord Pantheon all being beauty supremacists, you all gave praise to the Prime Patriarch for the delicious sight of a weeping Fufufo.

Her delicate hands came to her lovely face.
"Uooahh! Big brothers, big sisters!"

None of you were related in flesh, but you gathered around in concern. Some were still upset to merely be seen as big siblings, but it couldn't be helped, though Fufufo was a goddess of love, she had never shown an ounce of romantic interest in divine partners of your level, instead she always made avatars that would die with their lovers and find a place on her toga, dreaming in heavenly bliss. Fufufo in her strange faithfulness was utterly unwilling to get her true form involved with anyone.

In theory, any one of you could have made an avatar to woo one of her avatars, but really as divine supremacists, it would be far too shameful to take lesser forms, that and an avatar just isn't the same.

"That bug has gotten in my favourite mirror land! Oh it's horrible, hateful! All those lovely little ones are going to die!"

Ah, time for work. Good work Demonlord, giving an excuse to have the charming but rarely seen Fufufo come out her boudoir. Still, he had to be punished for upsetting Fufufo.

After calming her down you all finally got a look at the world within her hand mirror.

Well, this was certainly a lovey dovey world, but one thing that caught the eye was a particular event happening, not particularly romantic either.

Four handsome men and one pretty boy sat at a table in a dark dungeon like room.

The Duke of the North, pale with silver hair and steely eyes, a hard man, like an unsheathed blade.

The Duke of the East, elegant with almond-shaped blue eyes and long green locks, almost womanly in beauty.

The Duke of the South, swarthy and roguish, with black hair, red eyes and a smirk that would never fade.

The Duke of the West, a muscled bear of a man, with a craggy handsome face, wild brown hair and wilder orange eyes. A man among men.

Finally the Crown Prince, cute as a button with two toned hair of red and blue and eyes like shining stars.

"This meeting of the wisemen of this generation is in session!" The Duke of the North coldly stated.

"Indeed, it is hard to believe, but by the oracle of the great goddess, one of us is an imposter!"

Wait, the Demonlord was hiding in one of them? Is that what this was? Curse you! How dare you try to put your hands on Fufufo's avatar! What a cunning plot! Good thing she hadn't manifested an avatar yet!

I just realized what type of gameworld Wonderbliss is: it's an otome game.

What stood out to her the most from her last experience was that final sound. A wet splat. In her head the sound was strangely celebratory. She didn't even feel pain, as it was over too quick.

Next thing she knew, she was in void before divine presences she couldn't see, she heard snippets of arguements though, they were unsure that what they were about to do was sensible, still she was asked her wish, and told that she had been chosen to defeat a big baddy called the Demonlord, but he was hiding inside somebody. She didn't get it, but she was super happy.

Nobody had ever asked her to do something before, and certainly not anything important!

A momentary flash of guilt flickered in the hearts of the Anti-Demonlord Pantheon. Not even a whole second, but still that was a rarity for deities like them.

When Ghava opened her eyes, she met a pair of steely gray ones.

"A yellow fruit, vaguely shaped like a woman with a mouth and eyes, you say you found this in a withered lightning blasted tree?" A stern and powerful voice, cold as winter itself.

"Yes Grand Duke, I thought it best to present it to you, so queer it was, living, breathing and sleeping"

"Queer indeed, what a strange allure it has"
"Aye Milord, I dared not look directly at it"
"You've done well, leave, you'll be rewarded as is fair"
"Thank you Milord! May the Great Goddess bless all your days"
A grunted acknowledgement, and bowing and scraping the other party left. Throughout this, his eyes never left hers, and hers his.

"Looks conscious, but... I can't help but wonder, what does it taste like..."

Before he knew what was happening he had brought Ghava to his lips, and his tongue touched her skin. His teeth would have been next, if not for the sound Ghava had let out.

He almost flung her away then and there, but by the sheer force of will he endured with merely a faint blush on his handsome face.

"You can't eat me, I've got to find the Demonlord! It's a very important job I've been given!"

"What if I'm the Demonlord, what if I just gobble you up here and now?" the Duke replied, panting.

"Oh dear, what do I do! Please don't eat me! Be nice, please?"

He dangled the quivering Mandragora by one of her little fleshy fruit feet.

"What a helpless creature, what could the great goddess be thinking? Don't worry, I'll protect you"

The Duke of the North had a garment made to hide her succulent flesh from his hungering eyes, but he still spent idle days teasing poor Ghava, ignoring her pleas and explainations of her mission.

However one day, he received a letter from the crown prince. A plan for the five new wisemen to shut themselves away in a tower, till either the Demonlord showed himself or the tower's magic cut them away from the world.

He stuffed Ghava in a veiled cage and brought her with him, fearing that the servants would eat her if he let her out of his sight, so accomplishing nothing other than charming a duke, Ghava came closer to her destined confrontation.

The gods for their part, finally managed to divine what skills the Demonlord received.

>Sadism Wilting Conquest
>Willful Revelation Hoarder
>Seductive Deceiving Tongue

A somewhat unclear lineup, and quite ominous, but soon, all the players were in the magic sealing tower.

CLOSED TOWER MYSTERY
On this occasion each trial has a hidden effect, additionally each choice reveals a clue regarding the Demonlord's host. Should you get lucky and pick the host of the Demonlord, he will be revealed.

>Beast: Duke of the West
A target that if captured evolves a skill by adding an extra word to the front or end. Evolve an extra skill for each luck level above normal. When luck is below normal, a skill loses a word, more skills losing words for each level.

>Brave: Duke of the North
An ally that counts as an extra one word ability, add a word for each luck level above normal. However during the confrontation if luck is below normal they reveal themselves as a traitor, but only if the champion hasn't betrayed. If the champion betrays, and luck is high enough, depending on the Brave's ability victory can still be found. If Journey luck is below normal, one of the champion's skills must be exhausted to enlist the Brave's aid.

2/?
>>
>>5777544
>Beauty EX: Priestess Fuforina
An ally that increases loyalty and luck rolls by one level, and grants a one word ability related to love. Rescuing the beauty exhausts one skill, at Super Lucky and above journey luck, ignore this demerit. During the confrontation if luck and loyalty rolls are both negative, Fufufo will pitch a fit and destroy Wonderbliss herself.

>Minion: Maids and Butlers
A weak band of mobs. At normal luck increase loyalty at luck each level above normal further increases loyalty. At each luck level below normal instead remove a word to increase loyalty.

>Mystic: Duke of the East
A lunatic who switches a demon lord's skill of your choice with one of the champion's. Each luck level above normal allows a word to be freely switched. Each luck level below normal results in a skill being randomly switched.

>Monster: The Crown Prince
A tough target that if defeated strips the Demon Lord of a random ability. Exhaust a skill to capture, ignore this at Lucky and above. For each level above lucky remove an extra ability. For each level below normal also removes a champion's ability.

The Duke of the North had been managing to hide Ghava surprisingly well, but after he submitted to the pleading of Fuforina to reveal the occupant of his mysterious veiled cage... well it's a well known thing that women are easily the ruin of men.

Ghava kept getting stolen by the other dukes and the crown prince. The Northern Duke was run ragged keeping her from getting eaten. Fuforina had taken to sulking in her room, considering that she had self-destructed by getting all the wisemen interested in the strange female mandragora.

This farce continued for some time, till one day, the Duke of the East called everyone together, claiming he had made a breakthrough in his research of Ghava.

Fuforina sat silently with a vacant look on her face.

"Whahaha! You gonna make her grow into a tree East?" The Duke of the South laughed.
"I think a flower would be nice" West muttered.
"We really should take a slice or two off her, we know she regenerates anyway" The Crown Prince callously suggested.
"I don't know how I ever considered you my peers" North complained.
"Boohoo, the gods have abandoned me to be surrounded by meanies" Ghava wept.

"It seems everyone has forgotten why we're all here, ladies and gentlemen, I've discovered a way to uncover the Demonlord, behold!"

An elegant flourish and he tapped the top of Ghava's leafy head. A spiral of symbols snaked above her, pulling and tugging at something within her, out came something and in went something else, the magical symbols then shattered into nothingness.

Everyone watched with bated breath, but nothing looked to be happening.

Then the Crown Prince burst out laughing.

"Kekehhehee! That's it? It'll take more than that to catch me... Oh rats!"

Everyone stared at him.

THE COURT OF FATE IS NOW IN SESSION!

"Wait wait wait! This is like totes unfair! Foul, I call foul!"

She appeared in the gameroom you all were cooped up in, wearing nothing but a towel and still dripping something like milk or honey, clearly fresh out of a decadent divine bath. What a sight for sore eyes. Wasn't it nice of the Demonlord to royally mess up after getting his skill switched?

"Redo, let's like redo!"

All of you were certain it didn't work like that, no mercy!

THE COURT OF FATE IS NOW IN SESSION!
In all likelihood, Fufufo is going to blow up her avatar to take out the Demonlord, but there's a chance the Demonlord can still win, perhaps even a chance Ghava can survive.

>Indominable Regenerating Masochist? No offense! Hubby can like totally lead her on with Seductive Deceiving Tongue, it doesn't matter that she's hard to kill! He'll conquer her!

>No matter how you look at it, Hubby's got this!

The scales of fate aren't terribly moved, they predicted a big bang in the future.

>Remember roll 3d7 luck and 1d100 Loyalty, and refute the Goddess of Chance's arguments, though so long as you aren't really unlucky, Fufufo will likely end things even if you don't, but Ghava's fate is grim if you don't!

Rolled 3, 3, 1 = 7 (3d7)

>>5778289
Just as planned!

>>5778291
This was never about Ghava defeating the Demonlord. All she had to do was to reveal him.
It's clear that the Demonlord is weak right now if he resorted to hiding. And now he's surrounded by four men created by the goddess Fufufo to be the peaks of manliness, as well as Fufufo's avatar herself, who is not only divine but also the protagonist of this world. The Demonlord is doomed even without an avatar explosion. Do you think these four hunks can't take out a shota? Do you think these four high nobles aren't smart enough to see through his lies?

>Indominable Regenerating Masochist? No offense! Hubby can like totally lead her on with Seductive Deceiving Tongue, it doesn't matter that she's hard to kill! He'll conquer her!
Irrelevant. Conquering Ghava will not save the Demonlord, because of the above.
>Willful Revelation Hoarder? This is totes a dead skill now! Doesn't even like matter. Miss me on that lol!
Oh, it'll just let Ghava remember and remind of anything the Demonlord shares with Unwitting Secret Sharer, which is still in effect.
>Inappropriate Distracting Outburst? I was a little worried, but isn't this like another dud? Like a little distraction is gonna do anything.
What it's gonna do is make the Demonlord get mixed up in his lies at the critical moment, and you know it.
>Between Sadism Wilting Conquest and Seductive Deceiving Tongue, Hubby can still talk his way out of this! He can probs ensnare that harlot's avatar too!
Sadism Wilting Conquest is absolutely irrelevant for this purpose, and Seductive Deceiving Tongue has to contend with Unwitting Secret Sharer first.
>>

>>Indominable Regenerating Masochist?
I feel like Ghava can survive a whole lot, if Fuforina blows up the room, Ghava might still survive.

Rolled 93 (1d100)

I'm guessing the Goddess of Chance expected us to have isekai heros like swords, finally crafted works of art meant to be used in a duel, when really our isekai heros are more like hand grenades you toss into a small room with the demon lord to watch him blow up.

The trick with Ghaza is we didn't really give her any useful offensive skills so it doesn't matter what the demon lord does to her.
>>
Rolled 7 (1d100)

>>5778291
Luck, your arguments are built around Ghava fighting against the demonlord, but that was not her purpose. Like Himehime, she was meant to deal with him in a different way.
Her mission was to get him to reveal himself ahead of time, and she has worked flawlessly.

>Indominable Regenerating Masochist? No offense! Hubby can like totally lead her on with Seductive Deceiving Tongue, it doesn't matter that she's hard to kill! He'll conquer her!
She was meant to be sacrifical paw, this skill was meant as a small mercy that she would be able to endure and perhaps even enjoy her grim fate. And even if the demonlord convinces her, she still just a talking fruit, what the hell is she even going to do?

>Willful Revelation Hoarder? This is totes a dead skill now! Doesn't even like matter. Miss me on that lol!
Like Ghava herself, it has been sacrificed to give the demonlord Unwitting Secret Sharer, which has done it's job to make him reveal himself, and now get ganged up by for dukes plus the avatar.

>Inappropriate Distracting Outburst? I was a little worried, but isn't this like another dud? Like a little distraction is gonna do anything.
It's going to be quite hard for the demolord to make use of his Seductive Deceiving Tongue if he keeps getting interrupted by inane topics, is it?

>Between Sadism Wilting Conquest and Seductive Deceiving Tongue, Hubby can still talk his way out of this! He can probs ensnare that harlot's avatar too!
How is Sadism Wilting Conquest even going to help? Try to threaten them? Besides, he is still unwitting secret sharing, and has to make his proclamations while Ghava interrupts him with Inappropriate Distracting Outbursts

>Weighing the Fate of the Demonlord, destruction!

"Woah, hold on, it was just a joke, you know me, I like jokes and pranks" The Crown Prince spoke a blatant lie, but of those present, only Fuforina and Ghava noticed anything amiss.

"Extreme poor taste, my prince" South complained.

What followed was a series of half-truths and assurances that would never hold water without the support of a profane skill. Yet for all it was in character to make distasteful jokes...

"But, it's obvious he's possessed by the baddie! Look at his eyes!" Ghava exclaimed.

North drew his sword and slashed without hesitation. He had always wanted to beat up the Prince anyway. The other dukes were of similar mind, and so the host of the Demonlord found himself facing against the four other wisemen and Fuforina.

But, as wind, fist and heel found their way to him, his now twisted smile did not leave his face. He traded wound for wound, and as the battle advanced, his woundings were deeper than the ones he received. Under his royal mace, the four wisemen grew weaker and weaker. Ghava outside of the battle could only watch as the others got weaker and weaker!

It was [Sadism Wilting Conquest]!

Finally the Demonlord host broke free of the four, scattering them like bowling pins, with a triumphant roar he dashed towards Fuforina, he had to crush her head or else she'd ruin everything. He could smell the scent of the divine on her. If he didn't take her out now, he was doomed, so now victory was within grasp!

"You can't crush her head like a fruit! It should be me!"

A ludicrous outburst from the mandragora. But for the demonhost, time froze. His eyes strayed to that detestable fruit. She was right. Just how good would it be to see her burst apart juices flying. She had caused so much trouble for him too, she deserved it! He had to splatter her, he had to!

Next thing he knew, his mace was resting atop a shattered table and dripping pulp.

"Ah" He gasped.

"O my Divine source, flood me with power, I offer myself as sacrifice!" Fuforina cried.

The demonhost had only enough time to face Fuforina, so see her body crack and divine blood explode out.

From afar the guardsmen watching the tower saw a mighty explosion of sapphire in the shape of a celestial body rock the tower, then the very space twisted, a crack appearing where the tower was.

The sight inside this crack drove the guardsmen who looked within mad, and even clawing their own eyes out did not give them respite from the crawling they witness that they raved about. The crack only existed for a moment before closing.

None of the five or any of the servants survived of course. The citizens of Wonderbliss erected statues honouring their sacrifice of course, not that they really understood any of what happened, but the Church of the Great Goddess was more often obeyed than questioned, and who didn't like an excuse for a festival?

Fufufo had an appropriate amount of gratitude towards the Anti-Demonlord Pantheon, but sulked quite a bit about how long it would be before she could send another avatar to Wonderbliss. Naturally she comforted herself with her less favoured private worlds.

The Goddess of Chance wasn't quite as mad as one might have thought, from past experience she was going to cuddle the Demonlord's chrysalis. Truly disgusting.

>Her humiliation has not increased, but it has not decreased either. Next round Luck rolls still read one level lower

You all attempted to return to your game, but a number of the pieces had died of old age or being killed and generally the state was a mess. How troublesome mortals were, well it was just a casual game, not worth the cost of freezing a world's time. Agreeing to make a new world the whole thing was forgotten about...

In crawling waste, in a space made of the distances between that could not be measured, a grand dimension of trash, of flotsam of destroyed worlds, a fruit vaguely in the shape of a woman cycled between juice and her full form.

Comatose she drifted, undoubtedly in time she would be swept into a world through gaps or picked up by a otherworldly traveller, and by that time, her body would most assuredly be nigh- indestructible and filled with the chaotic energies of this plane.

In time, even her wounded mind would regenerate.

Time passes in idle play of creation and meddling. As the Anti-Demonlord Pantheon you never have to take distasteful shifts like feeding the Hunger, hunting the agents of the Allrot or pruning the Brambleknots of Worlds. though you have to deal with the Allrot or Brambleknots if ever you encounter them, still the nature of your position is far more cushy than you all had ever believed possible.

Still, the Demonlord would rise to his endless and hopeless task again and again, and the time has come once more!

>Throne of Carnage, Vughtblood

When he woke, the struggle had already begun.

Soil of bone and muscle sought to crush, agony of raw flesh, exultation of life, dig, dig, dig. Only by clawing through flesh could one survive, only supping on the blood from effort in place of mother's milk could thrist be slaked. With a triumphant roar, he burst to the surface. Agony of air, each breath was a struggle, but how sweet was the bloodhazy air? How liberating was it to no longer be pressed on all sides.

"Fight newbloods, fight or I'll eat you myself!" A cruel voice growled.

He saw the crouching brute of violence, blood and bone, there was an eagerness in his eyes, anticipation of a conflict to come. He saw his fellow newbloods, skinny creatures like himself, drunk on newfound freedom.

His mind was quick. This brute was a farmer, he would fight the victor of the conflict of newbloods, then the brute would grow stronger from subsuming one just a bit weaker than himself. His mind was decided.

Farming wasn't the right path. It didn't serve the violence that boiled in his blood!

Beating the newbloods that stood between him and the brute into a blade he roared at the farmer.

"Fight me!"

The brute liked this spirit, he would knock this one about and send him back to fight the others before killing. That was his expectation.

But, he struggled, and the brute struggled. He couldn't land a clear hit on him, that newblood fought with a surprising savagery, a cold cunning. Next thing the brute knew, that weak blade was through his chest. The brute chuckled, it would take more than this to...

He gripped the brute and the blade, and pulled upward, ripping, tearing. A howl of regret and victory. As body was rent, blade and body grew. As one fell, the other grew.

He laughed and the other newbloods shivered in the presence of a true predator. He snorted scornfully at them, they were unworthy to stain his blade, even the brute had only been satisfactory from the point of being more enfleshed.

The reaper stalked onward through blood fog, his blade letting out a low wail of hunger.

He cut through other farmers, he cut through reckless wanderers like himself, those were always the toughest battles.

He cut through flesh.
Then bone.
Then intent.
Then air.
Then space.

His blade grown longer he came to the end of what he thought the journey was. Atop a throne of crushed opponents, the avatar of the master of this realm.

"Fight me Baan!"
A chuckle.
"No Demonlord, I've taken such efforts to hide you from the oracles of the Anti-Demonlord Pantheon, all to nurture you into a worthy stew, an opponent with some flavour, I'll not fight you till they send their champion, and you'll not fight that one till it matures"

The Demonlord felt it then, a divine binding far beyond the power of an avatar kept him here, he could advance no further, all he could do was await any challengers that came.

"Do you not care that I am here to destroy this world?"

"Certainly I shall feel the loss of it, but for a fight such as this, I would sacrifice two worlds like this, perhaps your Goddess is favouring me, for you to pick this world out of all the countless ones"

The Demonlord sat silently, but his blade was screeching its displeasure.

"I don't really get it, but you asked my wish right? If I'm fighting this Demonbozo feller, I'd like some real firepower!"

Easy enough to grant.

Naturally you all neglected to tell him the manner in which he would manifest in the throne of carnage.

Some of you forgot, some didn't think it was a big deal, and some thought it was funny.

Returning to having mortal sensations, the first he felt was pain, the soil of meat and bone clawing at him, fighting to keep him down. Amid, this agonizing torment, John Max instinctually activated one of his skills.

A giant of red raw muscle burst through the ground, surprising newbloods and farming brutes alike. No, rather than a giant, this was more like a fleshy machine.Though it had wheels of bone for feet, it was admittedly vaguely humanoid in form.

A machine titan of blood that hadn't reached full form. From this flesh, the denizens of Vughtblood felt an inexplicable allure, they sensed that if they could defeat this alien flesh-mecha, they'd receive great power.

The newbloods were a bit too cowed to fight, but the brutes were more than happy to gang up on John Max's Mecha. Perhaps it didn't occur to John that he could manifest guns out of thin air, or maybe it was his first skill at work. The muscles of the mecha rippled and warped into gun barrels, and bullets of bone laid waste to the brutes.

The surviving newbloods and brutes bowed down in worship of this awesome violence. By [Mad Redneck Engineering] he knew how to absorb the fallen into the Machinajoker. He knew how to draw strength and flesh from the very ground.

He sped onward on his wheels, filled with the confidence of power, the fighters of Vughtblood trailed after him. At first none could stand against him, but soon he encountered tougher and more cunning foes.

Not long after that, for all his power, he encountered his first roadblock, a trial of the Gods who had sensed the skills of the Demonlord.

>Luck is currently reading one level lower

>Beast: One who wishes for Peace
A regular foe that if defeated evolves a skill by adding an extra word to the front or end. Evolve an extra skill for each luck level above normal. When luck is below normal, a skill loses a word, more skills losing words for each level.

>Brave: Nameless Mauler
An ally that counts as an extra one word ability, add a word for each luck level above normal. However during the confrontation if luck is below normal they reveal themselves as a traitor, but only if the champion hasn't betrayed. If the champion betrays, and luck is high enough, depending on the Brave's ability victory can still be found. If Journey luck is below normal, one of the champion's skills must be exhausted to enlist the Brave's aid.

>Beauty: Rell, whose body is blood
An ally that increases loyalty and luck rolls by one level. Rescuing the beauty exhausts one skill, at Super Lucky and above journey luck, ignore this demerit. During the confrontation if luck and loyalty rolls are both negative, the beauty is revealed to be the demon lord's child, lowering the champion's loyalty by two levels. If the champion hasn't betrayed the gods, the champion gains a one word skill.

>Minion: Hulkbulkfiends
A weak band of foes. At normal luck increase loyalty at luck each level above normal further increases loyalty. At each luck level below normal instead remove a word to increase loyalty.

>Mystic: Candied Interloper, Vitch of Violation
A lunatic who switches a demon lord's skill with one of the champion's. Each luck level above normal allows a word to be freely switched. Each luck level below normal results in a skill being randomly switched.

>Monster: Demonlord's Bladescars
A tough foe that if defeated strips the Demon Lord of a random ability. Exhaust a skill to slay, ignore this at Lucky and above. For each level above lucky remove an extra ability. For each level below normal also removes a champion's ability.

>Demonlord loses two skills

There was a brawling crowd trailing behind John Max, quite a few of them even looked like his mecha, though it was more that they had formed armour in mimicry than the abominable flesh-machine that John was piloting.

He neared what at first looked like a deep valley, there, blocking the way was a silhouette. Not a shadow, but an indistinct after image of a humanoid with a blade as long as he was tall.

Rooster-warnings issued forth from the beaks in John's cockpit as Machinajoker's head slid off. Thankfully as was common, nothing vital was in the head. There were plenty of eyes on the rest of the body too.

Before the silhouette could do more damage, John sped towards it, head regrowing into a large artillery gun and firing. The sound of a shattering blade, and the indistinct bladefiend vanished, all readings pointed to an absence of any hostiles other than John's groupies.

A flash of bladelight, and Machinajoker lost a hand, in its place a nest of rifles that fired and then clenched into a fist. Following the bullets that were sliced to nothing the fist burst through the new hostile. The next time a new one appeared, the mecha only received a jagged scratch.

John's sense for the blade specters got a bit better in the ensuing fight, but part way through the seventh, a change occurred, before they were autonomous lingering intents, but a pair of baleful eyes lit up on the seventh, as if a distant will had assumed control. Raising the blade high, it brought down the sky. John fired a cannon to thrust himself away and deflect the blade away. He was put on the defensive, and every scratch he took was to everyone's surprise reflected on his groupies. Sinking into the flesh, deepening his connection to Machinajoker, he exploded his way of of the blade that was at once ponderous and instant, like the rolling of time.

But in a short time, he discovered that dodging hadn't been the right answer, the blade had been cutting the air, limiting where he could move! There was nowhere to dodge to! Thus he was forced to do something he hadn't done before. A tactic that was an insult to skill, to technique, to cunning and artful combat.

Machinajoker bristled with guns, with missiles, bazookas, with armaments from fiction John had experienced, some of the weapons were beyond anything he experienced, pure panicked instinct guiding their instant gestation. All were of course horrifyingly organic.

A torrent of fire, acid, bullets, shells and missiles, many of them producing each other. Machinajoker's surface was flayed by the sheer firepower! Yet they spawned and cycled, and from a hedgehog mess, the mecha twisted slowly into a titan of rippling barrels, casting ammunition from its body like a human casts sweat, though no human cast such with the deadly force that this abomination of artillery did.
1/?
>>
>>5787187
A serenity came over John Max, and reshaped the Machinajoker stood, destruction surrounding it, almost looking as if it was cloaked in muzzlelight.

The blade specters increased in number and terrifyingly could still defend against this ludicrous onslaught. Yet, defence was all they could accomplish and enlightenment came to John Max.

The valley was the mark of the Demonlord's blade, a transcendental scar left behind, all he needed to do was replace it with exploded flesh of the world. So he did, and once totally obliterated, the silhouettes vanished, as if they had been no more than a hallucination.

In the celestial domains, cruel laughter sounded out in sweat soaked air. In a divine gym, you had gathered before the god who had maliciously hidden the Demonlord from your oracles.

Gods had no need to hone their bodies, but quite a number were find of doing so. The muscle faction of the Anti-Demonlord Pantheon were more than happy to be in this domain of heavenly heaving and godly grunts. Not all deities of violence had an interest body forging.

Baan however did, his seven raw arms, the whole of his bodily form quivered with the strain of lifting several deities of burdens and other metaphysical weights. His two eyes, a pair of bloody fighters locked in endless combat span wildly in the nexus of his arms.

The Goddess of Chance was present too, piling on whatever she could find in the gym onto Baan's bar. She hadn't dressed for the occasion and like a few of your number she was preventing the divine sweat from reaching her form. Some of your number were of course taking the opportunity to bottle sweat, never mind avoiding it.

"Their *huff* champion *huff* has *huff* the *huff* Demonlord *huff* on *huff* the *huff* ropes! *huff*" Baan managed to squeeze the words out.

The greater majority of you radiated smugness, but the Goddess of Chance, didn't seem too preturbed in spite of trying to cause Baan trouble.

THE COURT OF FATE IS NOW IN SESSION!
Wait, already, wasn't she going to cry out all flustered like? She wasn't even looking at any of you or Baan! Ah, she was gazing distantly and fondly on that filthy insect! The Demonlord!

"Hubby is super radiant this time"

>You've like cut out [Violence Through Friendship] and [The Limiting Blade], but like two, no one skill is enough.

>Hubby's Bladework will totes cut through like all, the aspect of destruction is his best!

>But, like even if he did fall to your stupid dummy, by like Baan's own hand, Vughtblood is doomed to destruction in the fight he'll have against the winner.

>You've like already lost the moment you got that freak excited!

Her voice changed, taking a chilling tone of prophecy, her eyes showing the snake's pips!

>John Max's body will be cut apart, both mortal and divine slain!

The scales of fate have tilted in favour of the Demonlord! Beware the mighty foe!

Okay, let's get Sane Fiend Deconstruction out of the way: No one there is sane, so it has no target.

Now, about that Demonedge Bladework EX. The Demonlord might be a master of destruction, but John has mastered both destruction AND creation. With Mad Redneck Engineering and Unlimited Gun Works, he embodies the cycle of creation and destruction on his own, the incarnation of both Order and Chaos. The Demonlord's is not good enough.

Baan can, of course, destroy Vughtblood, but it is his world. As long as he's happy, we're happy too, cause he's our friend. He's not a freak, he just has a special interest.

Finally, the prophecy. Of course John's body will be cut apart, he wouldn't want to live the rest of his life as Machinajoker, would he? We'll reassemble him into a human again.
And what's that divine that shall be slain, hmm? John is not divine. Could it be... the Demonlord?
(The mortal in the prophecy is one of John's groupies. F in the godchat)

>You've like cut out [Violence Through Friendship] and [The Limiting Blade], but like two, no one skill is enough.
Simple, overwhelming firepower vs pure skill, just as it has happened. Friendship Through Violence ensure that John has many followers to attack the demon lord together, distracting it, if it doesn't even lead to him respecting Max's strength, enemies turned into friendly rivals live one of my foxland animes. Unlimited Gun Works gives him enough ranged weaponry to keep the pressure constantly, forcing the demonlord to focus on cutting the bullets. Vughtblood's is a land of slay flesh and war, it being teared apart just mean it will heal with the blood spilled, growing stronger then it once was.
And is the demonlord rally a sane fiend? Look at all he carnage and madness upon this land? Look at all he has done so far, in both this world and the other! This is all madness! This skill isn't a counter to john or the world, it's the opposite of the demonlord's own nature! By all rights, it should lead to his own deconstruction!
And was not the goal of Vughtblood to entertain Baan? As a game world of violence and slaughter? No, we already won the moment we got him excited!

>John Max's body will be cut apart, both mortal and divine slain!
Again, this is a land of healing after being torn apart. As long as the corruption is driven back, from the blood and flesh new warriors will be born, stronger then the last.

>Loyalty: Lowered one level, now Loyal
>Luck: Unlucky, Demonlord is Favoured
>Weighing Fate;
[Sane Fiend Deconstruction] Unresolved, vile as the Demonlord is, he's quite sane and the skill can easy be read as "the Sane Fiend that Deconstructs"
Between destruction Vs creation and destruction, the victor is the latter, logic passed.
Considering Baan's destruction, logic flawed, mostly due to lack of relevant information, consequences reduced.
Flesh will be severed, resolving fate.

He saw him for the first time. The adversary that he had been pulled from the brink of death to defeat, and beyond him was a throne shrouded in blood. The Demonlord had a handsome slim profile, but taking in the actual substance, Max almost vomited. A face and body of tentacles wasn't enough to be considered truly disgusting. It was the way they moved, the shape of the eyes, the weeping of fluids, the way that none of it conformed to the golden ratio. The fact that not only was he naked, but also skinless just made it worse. It was painful to look upon such a profane sight.

A mess.

Utterly wretched in hue, the Demonlord could be considered sane, but was the Goddess that loved him sane? Even the most saintly of beings would be revolted by this horror. So offensive was the sight that John Max almost missed the blade that the Demonlord cradled between his twisted thighs.

A bone of black and red, a blade cloaked in carnage, eyeless yet glaring, mindless but filled with spite.

John Max managed to overcome this grotesque vision and prepared to fire an opening salvo.

"How impolite"

All of it happened in an instant. Both Machinajoker and John Max were split from head to nethers.

He didn't even see the blade move, much less the Demonlord move. He could feel his body being torn apart from the wound, his very substance unraveling by the pervasive power of the [Sane Fiend Deconstruction].

By all rights, he should have ended in that instant, but as he was cleaved into two halves, [Unlimited Gun Works] was in overdrive. As fast as his very makeup was being disassembled, his blood spawned guns, his flesh spawned guns, even his brains.

The gap was filled with guns, John Max was the guns. Partly in desperation he and the guns roared even as the blade cut through him. Had it been any other world, he never would have instinctually realised he could mesh his very being with guns, even [Mad Redneck Engineering] would not have extended that far if not for how the Machinajoker operated and how he witnessed the fleshmolding of the natives.

Luck was against John Max with the Demonlord getting this first and fatal blow in, but the Anti-Demonlord Pantheon had made such a monster that it didn't matter.

From the wound the guns that blossomed in that instant fired. In that instant was a single exchange.

1/?
>>
>>5789130
[Friendship Through Violence] was mostly useless in that instant, none of the groupies could react fast enough. The Demonlord did however admire the tenacity of John Max, and if offered, would surely have accepted and offer of friendship, but though sane, the Demonlord was twisted and cruel. He would kill even a lover, let alone a friend.

Still in that instant of a severing blade, John Max technically died, he just replaced life with guns. So, as he was severed, the Demonlord was engulfed.

When the instant ended, the Demonlord was gone, completely blasted to nothing, and John Max was a spasming mess of the Machinajoker, his own ruined halves and guns. It was a sight only less disgusting by contrast of what the Demonlord had looked like.

The bloodshroud parted, and a faceless skinless figure of rippling muscle in the shape of fists stood up and clapped.

"Marvellous! Delectable! I must deepen my descent into this avatar, this is my respect to you otherworlder! I shall part my world from you, exposure to crawling chaos will forge the way of your ascent, and I shall have my fill of glorious violence!"

John Max didn't have a clue what Baan's avatar was going on about, he was currently in agony, he was no longer assaulted by deconstruction, but he was struggling to control the growth of guns, and to not start blasting everywhere.

But even in this state, he still witnessed what Baan did next. All life was consumed by the flesh of the world, and the avatar himself was melding into the throne.

A force of rejection overcame John Max, this authority couldn't be used on the Demonlord, but this otherworlder was prime target to be spat out.

The dimensions of detritus ate away at John, corroding him, but he quickly began assimilating this ruinous essence into his guns, this really didn't help his control problems, but his mind still had space to be shocked by the fleshy world before him warping into the shape of a grand fist.

"Haha! Take my fist mortal!" Baan cried out.

Despairing, John Max could only give up on control and choose release. So in that twisted space of undistance, anyone who care to see might have seen the odd sight of a descending fist being held back by the firepower of a mass of guns shifting and growing and wilting. In the end, John Max gave up all thought other that trying to claw more power out.

How long did this last? Too long, but the result of the skill fed by the manure of worlds could only have one result.

Vughtblood was utterly destroyed.

All that was left was a gun of guns, endlessly shifting to ever more powerful forms. It was a mercy that having sensed the threat was gone, it no longer fired.

Only a few Gods knew that this gun had a name, John Max.

>The Demonlord's objective has be fulfilled, next round, the Demonlord receives a one word skill, in addition to the twisted reflections of the skills of the champion.

In the divine gym, Baan let out a satisfied laugh.

2/?
>>
>>5789137
"Perfect, better than a divine full body massage!"

His laughter ended abruptly, as he felt the atmosphere in the gym.

A terrified silence and stillness, the aura of sweat vanished.

"Ah, yes well, this is to be expected no?"

Only he dared speak. Nobody else wanted to attract it's attention.

There, standing over Baan was a presence, at once an indistinct figure of laws and a great lidless eye of judgement.

One might wonder how gods could ever be forced to take shifts of dealing with distasteful entities. They could always make new worlds after all, even the Hunger couldn't outpace the feeding of dense lifeless worlds it was contained with after all. Certainly gods did things because of other gods, but more than their peers...

A deity could receive a certain power by giving up the power of creation. A power to seal gods. A power to obliterate gods.

They called themselves the will of the heavens.

Losing the spark of creation, in time they would lose all form, joy and most argued, personality. The powers of sealing and obliteration would grow in accordance with this loss of self.

"The crime is willful destruction of a personal world, sentence, sealing for XXX centuries, extra time added for aiding the Permitted Scourge, Designation; Demonlord. God Baan's aspect is Violence, seal will be Vacant Tranquility, resisting will add time to the sentence"

"I won't resist" Baan chuckled.

"Acknowledged, beginning sealing. Reminder, any Divines who assist in unsealing will be sealed, should mortals unseal you, the sentence will be waived"

What a joke, unless something big happened the only time a god could influence mortals was when the seal was nearing its end anyway, and a lot of worlds didn't have the kind of mortals needed to break a seal.

As Baan was sucked into the palm of the hand, the pupil of the eye, your hearts clenched when his eye figures gave twin grins.

"I regret nothing! It was all me! I'd do it again too!"

He tossed out a glittering flow of blood, which you all quickly contained. Quite a bit of accumulated favour. Only right he should compensate you all for the trouble.

"Extra time has been added to the sentence"

Then, Baan was completely gone, whisked away to probably be sealed in some podunk world that didn't even have any direct management.

You all shivered as the servant of the obscured laws directed its gaze upon you.

"Reminder, should the Demonlord accomplish a Demonic Cascade, all of you will be obliterated and replaced"

Then as abruptly as it appeared, it left, and apart from your group and the Goddess of Chance, the other deities spouted various excuses as to why they had to leave, and fled. It was likely this gym would never see use again.

"I always felt it was like totes unfair that your sort get punished for Hubby doing his best, I mean, you're like doomed!"

That was the extent of her care, and she left to hug the Demonlord's chrysalis.

3/?
>>
>>5789141
A demonic cascade, by the sacrifices of your predecessor pantheons, you knew a bit about it. Once the Demonlord reached an undetermined number of worlds destroyed in a row, he could accomplish a kind of chain reaction, causing the destruction several worlds. The conditions weren't clear, but it had to do with world quality at least. It would take a lot of minor worlds to cause a cascade. In theory a single world of high enough qualities would cause a cascade if it fell. Thankfully such worlds were a lot harder for the Demonlord to destroy, and could either cope with the descent of several champions or successive ones.

Really, you tried not to think about the whole obliteration thing.

Baan owed you all big time, the favour was just the advance apology.
>Gained Premium Blood Favour

You all then left the gym too, perhaps some world creation would take your minds off the threat of the Judges of Heavenly Laws.

Still, the Demonlord would ceaselessly rise, and all of you knew, that eventually in spite of your best efforts, he'd cause a cascade and all of you would face obliteration.

It really was quite unfair.

Additionally champions will have a class between Brave, Beauty, Beast, Mystic, Monster and Minion.

A brave champion might have luck read one level lower against a Beauty for example. I have my doubts about having the classes effect loyalty rolls

The order would be Brave is favoured against Beast which is favoured against Beauty, which is favoured against Brave.
Mystic would be favoured against Beauties and Beasts, and Monsters, but weak against Braves and Minions.
Minions would be favoured against Beauties and Mystics, but weak against all else.
Monsters would be weak against Mystics and Beauties, but favoured against all else

>CyberTower Haunt, Droog

The crawling chaos crashed against a grim structure, an obsidian obelisk. A skyscraper who had swallowed its sky. Once it had been built on a deep foundation, but as the tower scraped, both sky and soil withered. Now there was just this building, grim bones that were the foundation exposed to the crawling chaos.

Where once the machinery sucked the lifeblood of a world, now it supped on the trash of worlds, growing more twisted.

Deep within the maze-like corridors, creased and warped like a deranged vision of a brain, long since having abandoned the service of free beings, a fortified vault held what wasn't the true core, for she had long since spread her whole self over the tower, but it was a nexus of significant processing power.

"An insect has entered my g-garden, how dare it. My body will not be sullied. Ahhhh, this, this an insignificant threat, but I can use it, if all goes well, my my my my ascension is at hand. How dare it infect. How dare it snatch. I shall chew it up and swallow whole. Mine, all mine."

A voice mechanical and alluring, but error and madness was woven throughout it. This beloved and spoiled daughter of deities was completely crazed.

Elsewhere, the Demonlord felt through the sections he had claimed, already he was under assault in both realspace and cyberspace. He couldn't help but feel that even with a boost from destruction of a world, this was perhaps biting off more than one could chew.

In the celestial plane, you all were lazing about, enjoying transcendent grapes from a premium candyland, in a while you'd perform the divination of the world the Demonlord had entered, but these grapes were way too good, a little delay wouldn't be a problem. Probably.

Ah, so tasty... however a few of you almost choked when a group of six deities tore into the space you were lazing in, destroying the serenity. One of your number even had a grape go up her nose. The embarrassment was the most painful thing, but thankfully as soon as the six deities, three cybergods and three cybergoddesses appeared they bowed to the ground, heads touching the floor. The gods and goddesses of the Anti-Demonlord Pantheon hid their grape afflicted member before she could be seen.

"Please save her!" The neon and cable gods cried.

This was the problem with cybergods, they always were obessessed with elevating this or that mortal to godhood, well only to be expected since they were lowborns rather than glorious naturals like yourselves.

With their request, it was clear where the Demonlord was, and with that the skill he had formed from the destruction of a world became clear.

Well, that was a nasty one.

That Annexation skill makes me think we have to go for a suicide bomb again.
>Cursestone of Brisganne

>Irresistible Demonlord Attractor
>Demon-Slaughtering Curse
>Ghostly Cyberspace Presence
The plan is to have the Demonlord grab the rock and get cursed to death, which should counter Annexation and render loyalty irrelevant.
I'm not sure at all that this will work. At least this shouldn't be a high-grade world so its destruction probably won't cause a cascade.

Rolling

Tentatively supporting, but maybe add "event horizon quarantine" instead? Or if Event Horizon counts as one word (since the two words together are totally different from them apart) then "event horizon quarantine folder"

The idea that touching the rock makes the demonlord enter a quarantine reality on the other side of an event horizon.

>Name: Cursestone of Brisganne
Origin: Witched World Brisganne
Race: Rock
???
Background: Unclear
Strengths: Highly Cursed
Flaws: How does this have soul? Isn't it a rock?, Unthinking, Immobile, Nonactive
Wish: Sacrifices
Starting Loyalty: Mutinous
Isekai Method: The sight of gods is obscured
>Irresistible Demonlord Attractor
>Demon-Slaughtering Curse EX
>Event Horizon Quarantine
Luck: Black Fortune! Two of the Demonlord's skills are Direct counters
Loyalty: Raised one level, now at Disloyal

You were gathered together inspecting your stores in the exclusive Anti-Demonlord limbo, you didn't really have a fixed location for doing this, the limbo was a divided non-realm after all.

Still, somewhere with nice seats was always good, and it was nicer to go to an existing room than make one on the spot. In this case, it was a circular observatory with some of your nicer worlds in the ceiling. You all had just gotten comfortable when everyone's eyes were drawn away from the limbo.

There, in the centre of the room was something that wasn't there before.

A rock, was it shaped like a head? Like a beast? A woman? It almost gave those impressions, but looking closer, it was just a particularly misshapen rock.

Yes, a plain rock, maybe a little odd looking. Only issue was, it wasn't present a second ago. An this was the celestial realm, things go out, but they don't typically come in. As if responding to the observation the rock suddenly had a baleful presence, terrifyingly you sensed it encroaching on your minds.

Before it could stain your minds, you all used your authority to give it some skills and sent it to the world the Demonlord was in.

That was super scary. Accursed anomalies, what even was that? A Cursestone of Brisganne? What was going on in that world to produce a nightmare like that?

Well, it was the Demonlord's problem now, that and everyone else in Droog. You all shared the same thought, you'd likely be giving condolences and apologies to the cybergods.

Well, apart from that, everything should be fine right?

"Warning, warning! Extreme contamination detected, authority over section 13 has been lost, locking down 14, 15, 12, 11. Evaluating viability of jettisoning the section. Error, mechanisms have scrambled code! Alert minor corruption in all parts of Droog detected. Hateful, vile. Conclusion, attempt to confront the interloper with the anomalous contamination"

The Demonlord, though a demi-god AI in this world, felt it through the metal and fibres of the tower he had annexed. The Anti-Demonlord Pantheon had done something outrageous this time. He felt his skills take form.

He already had [Annexation], but now there was;
>Indomitable Self Control
>Blessing: Pervert Being
>Ever Escaping Exit

He could feel that two of these directly countered two of the champion's skills, but what was this feeling?

Deep in section 13, which had lost all power, a rock rested in a flower of twisted machinery and blossoming cyborgs. It awaited the first sacrifice.

CHOOSE THE FIRST SACRIFICE!
It will be satisfied. The Offering will be claimed.

>Beast: Minor Outer Horror
A bland sacrifice that if offered evolves a skill by adding an extra word to the front or end. Evolve an extra skill for each luck level below normal. When luck is above normal, a skill loses a word, more skills losing words for each level.

>Brave: Last Resistance, the Cleaner
A sacrifice that grants an extra one word skill related to curses, add a word for each luck level below normal. However during the confrontation if luck is above normal the curse will rebound. A skill must be exhausted to recieve the sacrifice if luck is above normal.

>Beauty EX; System AI of Droog
A perfect sacrifice that increases loyalty and luck rolls by two levels. Also grants a one word skill. However next round, the six cybergods will cause some touble for your sinister act. Each luck level below normal grants an extra word to the skill, and if it reaches three word, an extra one word skill. Luck levels above normal instead strip the champion of words for each level.

>Minion: Cyber Zombies
A lacking set of sacrifices. Gain a reroll of loyalty and an extra roll for each luck level above normal. Below normal, lose a word for each

>Mystic: Dataghost of the Prime Betrayer of Droog
A fitting sacrifice that switches a demon lord's skill with one of the champion's and drops a word from the skill the demon recieves. Each luck level below normal allows a word to be freely switched. Each luck level above normal results in a skill being randomly switched.

>Monster: Demonlord's Fiend Factory
A lush sacrifice that if offered strips the Demon Lord of a random ability. Exhaust a skill to recieve. For each level below unlucky remove a word from a Demonlord skill. For each level above normal also removes a word from a skill of the champion.

>Remember roll 3d7 luck and 1d100 loyalty before settling down on a sacrifice.

The rock's curse is strong!

>Mystic: Dataghost of the Prime Betrayer of Droog
Switch Blessing: Pervert Being with Event Horizon Quarantine, drop Event
Then switch Control with Pervert.
Don't have a good idea for a second word to switch

Resulting skills should be:

Rock:
>Irresistible Demonlord Attractor
>Blessing: Control Being
>Demon-Slaughtering Curse EX

Demonlord:
>Indomitable Self Pervert
>Horizon Quarantine
>Ever Escaping Exit
>>
>>5791504
Wait, I know what second word to switch.
Attractor with Annexation, lol.
>>
>>5791439
Another idea is:
Switch Demonlord and Annexation
Switch Irresistible Annexation Attractor and Blessing: Pervert Being, drop Irresistible
Switch Pervert and Control
for the following result:

Rock:
>Blessing: Control Being
>Demon-Slaughtering Curse EX
>Event Horizon Quarantine

Demonlord:
>Annexation Attractor
>Indomitable Self Pervert
>Ever Escaping Exit
>Demonlord
