That’s not how crits work. It hits a random functionality, which may be the electronic resistance or the AA or one of its passives. In any case, if an exact match to accuracy is a hit, then it’s dead now.

>>5855093
If I have the Called Shot skill and use the Called Shot focus action, which I have and do, I choose what system my crits target.

Nice one!

It'll take 2 Internal Damage to the weapons. It looks like it has two missile pods and the rotary cannon, so it's probably lost some functionality but I'm gonna guess it can likely still either intercept either shots or planes.

Interlude: Iron Tide War Council, Eastern Neromius

Khan Makmud stood before the doors to the war chamber once again. Clad in his full regalia he prepared to engage in some petty theatrics, petty but ultimately necessary, for this was how the game of Neromian politics was played. With a deep breath Makmud drew himself up to his full height and flung the doors open. A twinge of pain went up his shoulder as he pulled something in the process. Shit, he was getting old. He just hoped that his painful grimace made him look fierce instead of fake.

All eyes in the chamber immediately shifted to Makmud.

“MACCOINICH!” He roared. “How-DARE!-YOU!”

“SILENCE!”

Sitting on a raised seat on the far side of the chamber was ilKhan Doruk Demir, before which an uncharacteristically subdued MacCoinich was giving his report. Makmud immediately dropped to his knee, ceremonial sword held forward in supplication, winching again at the pain going through his aged joints.

“My IlKhan-I…”

“I understand that Khan MacCoinich here has insulted you through his recent actions, but that is no excuse to give insult to me by barging so rudely into these chambers while I hold an audience. You shall remain kneeling until MacCoinich finishes his report.”

And there it was: the little performance Makmud knew he was going through. In truth he didn’t care that MacCoinich’s Red Riders had entered his area of operations without invitation. His troops were still reorganizing after the initial landings to prepare for a counter attack. That a far flung airbase had been lost to an enemy counter-attack was regrettable but ultimately acceptable. The Iron Tide had been ebbing, but when it rose again it would sweep away what little successes the N.O.A.F had managed to win for themselves.

MacCoinich on the other hand, had made a fool of himself; his vaunted Red Riders had been humbled by the inferior Republic forces and their mangey dogs of war. At the end of the day Makmud had lost far less than MacCoinich, yet certain appearances had to be maintained. And so he barged into the chambers knowing he would provoke the ilKhan’s displeasure, playing the indignant, prideful Khan; lest MacCoinich mistake his tolerance for weakness and think to interfere in his campaign even further.

“You may rise,” commanded Demir. MacCoinich had finished giving his report and it was now Makmuds turn. Raising his head Makmud tried to stand but was horrified to find his aging joints to be unco-operative. After a few trembling attempts using his scabbard for support Demir snorted derisively and gestured for MacCoinich to help Makmud up.

So much for not looking weak…

>Main System entering Quest Mode

General Kovalev was busy packing his bags. It had been a day since Yagmur Airbase had been secured by the NOAF and the first wave of friendly transport planes had arrived from over the Midas Range. After they dropped off some much-needed supplies and reinforcements they would be taking back wounded on the return trip. Kovalev intended to be on one of the planes. He’d give Zavrazin a double promotion then leave him in charge, flying back to friendly lines under the pretence of reporting directly to high command. Once he was safely out of the combat zone he’d make every excuse to stay out.

There was a knock on the door, probably Zavrazin or Zoric come to give an update on something trivial.

“Come in,” said Kovalev curtly.

The door opened and his blood ran cold. Standing in the door way was a woman in an immaculate colonels uniform. Her black bob cut framed an affable smile that didn’t reach her eyes, and it was those eyes that gave Kovalev pause. Zavrazin had a hard gaze that exuded steely professionalism, but despite the unmistakable strength it projected there was no malice in it. In contrast this woman’s eyes were predatory; the eyes of someone whom you not only didn’t want to cross, but didn’t even want to be in the same room as.

“Hello Varlam, it’s good to see you again,” she spoke like an old friend but it did nothing to put Kovalev at ease; he knew why she was here.

“That’s General Kovalev to you Colonel Lenka.” A token attempt to reassert dominance, ultimately pointless, but Kovalev still had his pride. “What brings you to the front?”

“Keeping things professional now? Very well General,” she said almost mockingly. “I can respect that, we are at war after all. To answer your question: high command sent me to be your liaison with them. For here on out I will handle the situation back home on your behalf so you can give your undivided attention to commanding the troops-right-here.

Shit… they knew him too well, they knew he would try to run at the first opportunity. It was obvious the moment he had been promoted to general. They intended to pin him here and with the need to repel the invasion they’d have all the leverage they needed over him.

>Play along, but also remind Lenka that there are bigger issues at hand: ”I’m honoured high command saw fit to send you. I’m sure you’ve read the reports; we’re barely surviving out here. We need reinforcements, everything the Republic can muster or we will not survive the Neromian counter attack. If High Command doesn’t understand the gravity of the situation, I hope you can make this clear to them.”

Kovalev felt a rising anger at the absurdity of the situation, but he couldn’t quite muster the courage to call out Lenka directly.

“Well since high command has seen fit to send someone of your calibre to handle things, do tell me: What the fuck are they planning to do about this invasion!? The damn bear humpers have all but taken over the western side of the country. If we don’t meet the neromian counter attack with everything the NOAF can muster, everyone on this side of the Midas range is dead!”

Unmoved by his sudden fury, Lenka gave Kovalev a dismissive sigh.

“You’re a general now Varlam, so you better learn to see the bigger picture; this base, your forces and even the entire western side of the country-as you put it- are expendable.”

“The hell are you saying!?”

“High command questions whether it’s worth keeping your little pocket of resistance going. Some say that instead of rushing to your aid the NOAF’s resources are better spent fortifying the north, conserving our strength in preparation for a decisive push.”

“You’re going to leave us all to die!?”

Lenka glanced at Kovalevs half packed bag with a cruel smirk.

“Isn’t that what you were about to do?”’

Kovalev could do nothing but stare back incredulously. Lenka smiled, she had him right where she wanted him.

“To answer your question: No, we will not be leaving you to die, for now. The decision isn’t final, further success on this front might convince the brass back home to prop you up a little longer. Of course there are our mutual friends back in the capital. If you were to do them some favours, I’m sure they could pull some strings for you.”

“What kind of favours?”

Lenka gave that predatory smile of hers. “I’ll inform you when certain… opportunities present themselves. For now get some rest, you’ll need it, General.”

>End of Campaign Turn 2

Thanks for playing everyone. While the campaign turn is officially wrapped up I do plan to post one or two extra side stories in this thread. During the final airbase mission I suddenly felt inspired to flesh the story out a bit more.

In the meantime, feel free to leave feedback. Besides making the actual game I plan to do some quality-of-life updates for campaign turn 3, namely cutting down the number of PDFs all the game materials are currently scattered across as well as improving the rulebook.

Thank you for running this Cognis. I had a blast! This was exactly the sort of game I was looking for. I cant wait for the next campaign to begin!

That said, I noticed there is something missing in our arsenal. We need a missile tank platform! I think that would make for a new fun play style for our tankerman.

Side Story: The One That Got Away
Written by an anonymous guest writer and edited by Cognis.

Laila was having a bad day. Up until last week the war had been text book; drop out of an aircraft, support the cavalry with artillery, put a hunter killer into any miners that demonstrated they could actually fight. Then the battle of Yagvosk happened. The Neviki bastards had hit the town hard with a unit of wack job mercs in tow. Next thing she knew her unit had been pushed back to Yagmur airbase where those same mercs managed to halt a red rider charge before blasting her out of her cobra as she tried to flee. The last thing she saw as she looked back after ejecting was her platoon mate’s machine getting taken out by an enemy flyer as it ran from a pair of IFVs.

Days of evading neviki patrols and brush survival on the plateau had only made her mood worse. She thought she’d finally had some luck when a passing supply convoy of neromians had picked her up. Turns out that after the airbase fell all forces were busy pulling back from the Yagmur region. There were no spare mecha for her so the commander had done the easy thing and passed her off to be someone else’s problem. This saw her heading back to Zivograd in a creaky old buggy crammed beside wounded bouncing on shit suspension to await re-attachment. She’d stood patiently at a neromian occupied dockyard waiting for the honourless logistics officer to get sick of giving her the silent treatment, just to hear that she still couldn’t get a new mech: procurement was busy offloading frontliner units and cavalry, and Khan Makmud’s vanguard were being given tertiary priority; the need for specialists in light armour being less than the need for frontline meatheads eager for the grinder now that the invasion’s toehold had turned into a foothold.

This left Laila essentially useless, in the rear with the gear, missing out on any chance of glory, of uniting with her company and exacting recompense. With nothing to do but mope and await a billet assignment. She’d done the most natural thing when you’d want to mope, and found a bar to drink some of the frustration away.

She was too busy doing just that, seated on a stool in a dockside bar, sipping cheap brew when a man’s voice broke her out of her reverie.

“Feeling down, beauty? Maybe a free drink will cheer you up?”

She responded without looking up from her drink, too tired to bother masking her dark mood.

“Move along bondsman, I’m not interested in a roll.”

“Well it’s a good thing I’m not lookin’ to roll you… well not today at least. You’re Laila Soldati am I right?”

>Cont
>>
>>5869840
She glances up to the speaker standing at her shoulder at the use of her name to see a short lean northerner in a plain black uniform, no obvious clan markings… odd. Gleaming white teeth shone at her in a shit-eating grin, she was far from pleased to see a cold, hungry gleam in his grey eyes. Oh boy. A lunkhead looking for a brawl surely.

“How’d you guess?”

“Laila, southern name, southern girl with hair black as night, bet you were born with a full head of that pretty hair weren’t ya? Besides, not many other pilots out here sitting on their ass after being shot out of their machines, eh?”

By the Spirits she did not want to brawl with some jumped up bondsman today. With a sigh she turns fully and looks the man straight-on, not rising from her seat.

“Yeah, I got shot out of my machine, yeah it’s a crying stain on my honour. No, I don’t want to slug you on the skull about it, now was that talk about a drink bullshit to get my attention and start shit, or are you actually going to sit your ass down and buy it?”

She was surprised to see the man’s grin widen, to see the gleam in his eyes grow warmer, but no less hungry. He looks to the bartender, flicks some coins onto the counter, then motions to the door.

“Sure, but only a small one, to go, I got a proposal for you”

That got her curiosity, she nods as her mug is replaced by a can of cheap beer as she follows him out onto the wharf, she looks across the waters, taking in the sight of the Neromian warmachine working away in the harbour, ferrying up to unload the might of the Iron Tide.

“What kind?”

“Well, miss Laila Soldati, specialist of Khan Makmuds Vanguard aircorps, I got a boss, you see, and this old man of mine, he likes folks like you.”

“Folks like me?”

“Indeed! skilled, level headed specialists who know when honour is not worth dying needlessly for, who can square against highly skilled mercs tough enough to mulch a Red Rider charge, who can survive on foot for days in hostile bush pursued by cranky enemies long enough to get back to friendly lines. Usually we like to hire ex-cavalrymen, boss has his eccentric foibles y’know? But we like to make exceptions when it seems wise, the old cat likes to think he can put types like you into machines where your talents won’t be wasted.”

>cont
>>
>>5869841
He stops and takes in the sights of the harbour himself, though he seems to be looking for something she can’t tell what.

This stranger with his shit eating grin just seemed to know everything about her, she tries to buy time to form a response as she stops at his side by taking a sip of her brew, but the cheap neviki swill just made her mouth sour.

“Pah, miner trash…and you, you’re talking kaushit, you’re telling me you can pluck a bonded warrior out of their service and plop them into new warmachines just like that?”

The man stops grinning just long enough to solemnly nod once.

“We can.”

“What kinda fuckin’ scam do you think you’re pushing? Who even is this magical mech shitting old man you’re working for anyway?”

She sighs incredulously, tired of having her precious boozing time wasted, glancing at the man to see his face nearly splitting, clearly loving his pitch. She follows his gaze to where it’s fixed to see a fat bellied vessel laying at anchor, hull sitting deep in the water from the weight of the sheer might on its deck and in its hold; expensive advanced mechs squatted on its topside between lines of armoured vehicles in varied paintjobs, she could easily spot big guyes, lords, ramparts, and maybe even a vicious looking apex or two'glaring red hot hate out across the neviki coast.

Her eyes widened when she saw the insignia proudly displayed on the shoulders and turrets of every vehicle on the ship: a battered knife thrust through a feline skull. The common neromian mech would be deemed too insignificant or dishonourable to carry a symbol over their cavalry counterparts. This combined with the symbol itself made the owner unmistakable. The realization made Laila gasp.

"Wait there’s no way yo-"

The man turns his grin and mirthful eyes towards her, and for the first time she notices the gnarled claw scars running up his neck from somewhere below his collar. He confidently interrupts her, keen to make his pitch as cinematic as possible.

"That’s right, I’m offering you place in Grim’s Irregulars, lead by none other than Egrim Horst himself.”

((I'll be doing one more side story after this one.))

Side Story: Soldiers Will Talk

“Hey buddy, you still alive?”

“That isn’t funny anymore Melnyk.”

“Yeah, I uh guess not…”

Engineering-Pilot Artemy Melnyk sheepishly took a seat across from his old friend and stared down at the steaming cuts of bear meat on his plate. Behind them one could hear excited snippets of conversation in a thick Merikan accent; as a certain Hoyt Ownby and his support crew worked a row of grills. The eccentric mercenary had appropriated the carcasses of all the Red Riders killed in the previous meeting and had invited everyone who participated in the command centre assault to partake. Melnyk glanced nervously at the rest of the soldiers sitting at the picnic table who eyed him coldly. These were the mechanised infantry men of Derzkhy platoon, only reason Melnyk had an excuse to sit here was because he had known one of them before they joined up.

Corporal Nikolay Sobol was different now, he seemed more distant than Melnyk remembered. A few years ago, both of them had enlisted with the NOAF dreaming of becoming hotshot mech pilots together. Sobol failed to make the cut and ended up in the infantry. Melnyk passed basic mech operations but his instructors felt he didn’t have the temperament for a combat role and so put him in the engineering corps. Melnyk had often greeted Sobol in the past by asking him if he was still alive, a personal joke between them, given that casualty rates among mechanised infantry were predicted to be higher than most other branches… if a real war ever broke out. Neither of them ever thought it would when they had both signed up.

“You know this dipshit Sobol?”

“He was there when we took the command centre, was busy fixing machines under fire while we were shooting up the place. Go easy on him.”

“Hmph, guess the mech jocks are good for something.”

“I did my part,” said Melnyk with a mix of sheepishness and indignation.

“You want a pat on the back? Come back after you spent some time clearing rooms in a building with bear humpers round every corner then I’ll be impressed.”

“Andreev, I said be nice,” growled Sobol before turning back to Melnyk. “It’s good to see you again Melnyk but you really need to get a clue.”

The group sat in silence for a while slowly eating their grilled bear meat. Mega fauna meat had become abundant when the war broke out. At first it was quite the treat, but after weeks of gammon steak and varanid jerky the novelty had worn off. This bear meat though was something else; seemed that Hoyt was as crazy in the kitchen as he was on the battlefield. Flames from the grill flared up behind them punctuated by a loud “Ooooo Weeeee!”

“So, uh what do you guys think of these mercs?” Asked Melnyk cautiously. “I’d only ever heard stories. That they’re these crazy lawless types, the whole cold blooded killer thing. The crazy bit seems about right, but as people they don’t seem so bad.”

“Don’t get too chummy Artemy, sure some mercs will be sweet on you as long as the contracts in effect, but once the job’s done they could very easily be the ones you fight the next day.”

“Heard you got yourself a favour from the red one in the cobra,” said Andreev with a sly grin. “All about premium service that one, I bet you could-”

“It’s not that kind of favour!” Melnyk exclaimed in embarrassment. “Besides, that woman scares me, I’d sooner fight a mega ursid in my repair mech than try my luck with her.”

Andreev rolled his eyes. “Man you’re gutless Mr. Repair man. Yeah I heard she’s a bit spicy, but that makes things more f-”

Somehow the engineer managed to stop Andreev in his tracks with the thousand-yard stare he fixed him with. “As an engineer you see some shit; poor wiring, slap dash weld jobs, Rube Goldberg internals, wrecks waiting to happen, but what I saw under the hood of that woman’s machine was … profane… if you saw what I saw, you would never lust after such a creature.”

Andreev was speechless for a moment before erupting in incredulous laughter. “Saints bones Mr. Repairman you are such a fucking nerd. Hey Sobol, how’d you ever become friends with this guy?”

Sobol ignored him. “Crazy or not at least they’re doing the worst of the fighting for us. They really are a mixed bag though. Our platoon was lucky, we had the Tiger pushing our front. He seems like a stand-up guy. I heard Stalnoy almost got fragged twice by friendly fire from the guys on the southern front.”

“To be fair it was either that or get mauled by a mega ursid. Yeah the IFVs got dinged up but Stalnoy didn’t lose any men from that.”

“When you put it that way, I suppose I can let that slide.” Mega ursids were no joke, especially those used by the Red Riders.

“Word on the grapevine is that General Kovalev is pouring more and more money into them,” said Andreev leaning forward. “I don’t like it; we can’t be relying on people whose only loyalty is to money.”

“If we could rely on ourselves, we would have never hired them in the first place,” sighed Melnyk. “Our military wasn’t ready for this war. For better or worse we need these guys.”

“Zavrazin warned them about this,” growled Sobol. “Been trying to modernise the NOAF for years, but what did the higher ups do? Cut his funding and busted him down to Major. Now even they have to see he was right.”

Melnyk glanced at his friend uneasily, the conversation was starting to turn dangerous.

“Hindsight’s 20/20. Besides as it stands the NOAF outnumbers the Neromians, once our reinforcements start coming in it’s only a matter of time before we kick them back across the sea. We won today, things will only get better for us moving forward.”

Sobol shot an annoyed look at his friend. How could this guy still be so naïve even after everything that happened? In the end Sobol couldn’t be assed to dispel his friend’s fantasy and took a long swig from the beer can next to his plate.

“I hope so Melnyk. Saint help me I really hope so.”

Cammy pilots her nearly empty Crocodile Mk2 to a hangar on the freshly captured airbase where she had arranged to meet her ground crew. As she powers down and climbs from her mech, a young woman bounds up to hug her. Her outfit is as stylish and form fitting as a pair of ground crew coveralls can be. Her pink hair is tied up into two high ponytails that cascade down the back of her neck. “Cam-cam! I heard you were fantastic out there! And I see you barely brought anything back! How many kills did you get?

From the embrace of her friend, Cammy would respond sheepishly, almost as if she was guilty of some crime. “F...Five, I think. I can only take partial credits for them, though.”

Another young woman would walk up, carrying a large box of tools and diagnostic equipment on her shoulder. She was taller, broader, and, though it was hard to tell through her baggy coveralls, clearly more muscular than the other two. Her brown hair was tied back into a simple ponytail to keep it out of her way while she worked. She would set down the heavy box on the ground with a grunt and scold her companion.

“Ophelia, you know Cammy doesn't like talking about that stuff, so give it a rest. The battle is last thing she wants to think about right now.” She would look Cammy up and down. “You all right? The Croc looks untouched.”

Cammy would respond shyly “...Yes, Judith, I'm all right. I was able to keep out of sight for most of the fight.”

Judith would nod. “Good. Those new missile launchers did their job.”

Ophelia would release Cammy from her hug. “Hey! Don't make it sound like I don't care. Cammy, I can't tell you how much we appreciate these jobs you got for us, after all that has happened....” Ophelia would trail off, not wishing or needing to elaborate further. “But those numbers – I can use them to sell our services. We're mercenaries now, after all, got to keep getting those contracts!”

The sad look in Cammy eyes causes Ophelia to change the subject. “A-anyways, I heard Hoyt – you know, the one with the funny accent – he's actually cooking up some meat from the Mega-fauna! The bear I think. You wanna go try it?”

A faint smile would appear on Cammy's lips, a rare sight. “So he actually did it... Sure. But, uh, if he tries to kiss me... Please stop him...”

Ophelia would laugh. “Now, there's the Cammy I miss! Don't worry, I don't think Judith would let anyone with ill intent get within ten feet of you. Now, lets go get some barbecue!”

Judith would stop rummaging among the tools in her box. “Yeah, there ain't a dent in this thing. Maintenance can wait 'til later. Let's get some grub.”

And the three girls would walk from the hangar, leaving the machines to their own silence.

The N.O.D.R Army 17th Logistics Battalion. Normally you wouldn't expect a man like Aleksandr Krolik Mosin to be here. After all he was as professional a pilot the army could train. Almost an elite level from the perspective of some.

What could be really expected of him achieving anything here? Well it was his choice in a sense. After his original Special Warfare Training Corps was disbanded he was relegated to an instructor position in various places around the country. He could've simply been honorably discharged and get work somewhere else considering he had reached a fine rank of Senior instructor or even promoted into the Commanding ranks.

However, he didn't feel he was up to it just yet. Still good to be done and the chicanery in the upper ranks that resulted in how behind the N.O.A.F was didn't call him to attention yet. He'd leave it to the other ex-members of SWTC who were more inclined to try something.

Somehow, the Logistics work took him back to the heat of battle just like all those years ago. He didn't miss it but if his skills could be used to help the younger gen with less experience emerge on top he'd gladly mount the old crocodile and come back in the fight.

His only problem? All the mercenaries going around thinking they own the place and are full of themselves. Sure some were decent and actually respectable and he was thankful for them. But most of them were an unruly terrible mess of dogs of war with a leash made of thin string most of which lacked discipline.

For now. He only had words for the men who came back from airfield mission. Mosin couldn't participate for various reasons but he knew the soldiers would get the job done one way or the other. And he wasn't found wanting. The least he could do despite the arduous days coming was give the troops a pat on the back and a hopeful boost in morale.

Walking to where the boys and girls were having a less then "fancy" picnic he arrived. The command of "at ease" was given by Cpl. Zvonimir. Even though such courtesy wasn't really needed for him he acknowledged and told them to carry on.

"You all need to eat and rest while you can kids, after all we may be still on homefield but it doesn't mean were out of woods yet. I'll give my speech and then let you all dig in peace. You've earned it."
And yet they were still silent awaiting the talk. Sheepish Melnyk, rowdy Andreev, Sobol, some stalwart of Stalnoy platoon even some from the new Umbrella teams, Brakon and Dazzle were awaiting his words before they kept digging in. Now that's some discipline.

*Sighing lightly* "Well I won't bore you too long then."

Starting from a grin then a smile he spoke loudly for all those present to hear he began.

“Comrades of the Nevik Operators Democratic Republic,
Today, I stand before you not as your stern instructor, but as a comrade filled with pride and admiration for each and every one of you. Operation "Iron Sky" was no ordinary endeavor; it was a testament to the unwavering resolve and courage that defines the Nevik Operators.”

“In the face of adversity, you stood united, a formidable force against the encroaching darkness of Neromius. The Yagmur Airbase, a symbol of our nation's strength, was under threat, and you answered the call with indomitable spirit.
Operation "Iron Sky" was a triumph. The Yagmur Airbase, once shrouded in the shadow of our enemies, now stands tall and proud, reclaimed by the valor and sacrifices of the men and women I have the honor to lead.
I want to take a moment to commend each one of you for your dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment to the cause of the N.O.D.R. The harsh training, the sleepless nights, the drills in the unforgiving cold—all of it has led to this victorious moment. Your sacrifices have not been in vain.”

“Today, we not only celebrate the success of Operation "Iron Sky," but we also celebrate each one of you. Our triumph is a collective effort, a testament to the bond that unites us as soldiers of the Nevik Operators.
As your Sergeant-Major, it is my duty to instill discipline and uphold the standards that define our proud republic. Today, however, I want to express my deepest gratitude. Your performance has exceeded my expectations, and I am honored to lead such an exceptional group of individuals.
Let this victory serve as a reminder: No challenge is insurmountable when we stand united. The N.O.D.R. is not just a republic; it is a family of warriors, each one playing a vital role in the defense of our homeland.”

“In recognition of your achievements, I announce a period of well-deserved rest and recreation for all units involved in Operation "Iron Sky." Take this time to rejuvenate, spend moments with loved ones, and revel in the triumph we have achieved together. But never forget those we lost along the way and tell their story.”
He was back to a more serious tone.
“So…thank you. Thank you for not running. Thank you for trying. Thank you for fighting. Don’t EVER let anyone say that what you did today did nothing in a grander scheme of things. And hey you even managed to babysit the mercs better then I babysit you. Guess you really did learn a thing or two from me.”

A small moment for laughing and snickering was there for everyone before he continued.
“So. To the men and women of the Nevik Operators, I salute you. May the spirit of Operation "Iron Sky" resonate in the annals of our history, reminding future generations of the valor that defines the N.O.D.R. Let’s keep showing the bear fuckers that by taking us on they bit way more than they could possibly chew at the time.”
*For the Nevik Operators!*
He saluted and all present returned the salute.

“Now eat up. It wouldn’t do good if the fight only left bones on your bodies. Need to make sure we’re all well satiated if we want to kick those animal fuckers back across the sea. Carry on.”
He then went to take a nice piece of meat for himself before letting the soldiers continue eating.
