EVERYONE PUT ON YOUR VIKING HELMETS AND YOUR BEST SUITS BECAUSE IT'S TIME FOR THE MOST DANGEROUS GAME: MEGACORPORATION QUEST.

You're Sleipnir Interstellar, a subsidiary of a megacorporation known as Solutions Tactical Finance Unlimited. Assisting you are another subsidiary, Aperture Science. Using their intuitive shower curtain technology, you have revolutionized inter-planetary transport amongst so many other things.

Rival megacorporations include Alien's Weyland-Yutani, Avatar's RDA, WoD's Pentex, SMAC's Morgan Industries, Bladerunner's Tyrell Corporation, Fifth Element's Zorg Corporation and a mysterious newcomer.

Last session, we stopped in the Year 2160 and shit's about to go down. You're guessing that Pentex is fucking with Pandora and that they're trying to exterminate all life on it, for one reason or another. Oh, and STFU is now taking any cash that you have left-over each year.

Also, last time we managed to speed up a little bit, so I want to try and keep that up, eh? Also, since I had some free time during the week, I wrote out some stuff about Ares. Some of it's technobabble, some of it's interesting. You'll have to see for yourselves, if you want to have a look.

So, gentlemen, do you want to play a game?

Right. For anyone interested in in depth information on Ares, have a link:

First few pages are pure numbers, then the next few pages after that are combination of fluff and numbers, then it's pure fluff about the flora, the fauna and the native intelligent life.

With that out of the way, let's get this going.

Splendid. My advice is to ally with the native species of PAndora, gain their trust and remove Pentex's presence from the planet. After that either force exclusive mining rights on the xenos, or exterminate them- depending on what will be cheaper.

    Year 2160:

Ares is going along just fine, really. The New People have conquered the Blessed, with your assistance.
    Pandora's still rotting.
    You own 11% of RDA.
Weyland-Yutani owns majority shares of RDA.
There are no more RDA shares left for purchase.
There are no more Pandorium engines left for purchase.
The Tyrell Corporation has completed its functional immortality research and you recieve it as well, without being detected. Transhumanism is now a reality. Right now, it's still private.
Pentex requests UN permission to euthanize Pandora.

With what's happening on the surface of Pandora, have any of our orbital assets been able to figure out what's happening?
Related to this: Has Deirdre Skye's team been able to make any breakthroughs on bio-neural networks, specifically the one found on Pandora? We may need to interface directly with the Pandoran planet-mind soon. If progress has been slow, we may need to forcibly acquire RDA's Avatar Program research data. Having the genetic blueprints for the Na'vi bio-neural interface system might help her research.

If you read the last thread, the Na'vi have degenerated into almost mindless, savage beasts.

Negotiations are impossible. Besides, you are in a deal with Pentex that neither of you are allowed on the planet's surface. And from your observation, that deal isn't broken.

Did we get any of the Avatar program data from our acquisition of RDA assets?
Also, let's put in a counter offer to the UN: we send down a research team to find out what happened on the Pandoran surface before Pentex wipes it clean. It would be more 'humanitarian' to try to save some survivors, no? And we can use this to try to find out how Pentex orchestrated all of this and maybe interface with Eawyha directly.

Does the blockade around Pandora prevent us from landing personnel on the surface, or is there any way to land a team stealthily in order to rescue some Na'vi, either to get the story or at least be able to study them and better understand the cause of their degeneration? I think we must cut out losses, guys. This not really our problem.
Pentex fucked up the planet and there's nothing we can do. I think they will land on the planet and "find" a cure to the cancer, save the world and become heroes.

I guess the only thing to do is to land and try to save Jake Sully and his tribe (plot narrative and plot armor demand that they have been untouched).
The other thing we could do is to give research on Umbra to RDA and tell them what Pentex is doing. RDA should still have countless trillions of $ we lack to deal with them.

We are making the same mistake again as we did during the Neptune crisis. We are focusing too much on one thing and discarding others.

Begin producing Attack Drones in Hermes. Small, fast, armed with a single mass driver and maybe some one-shot missile launchers. With those, we could massively increase our coverage, and if we're going up against eight Pentex ships, it'd be nice to have them.

They should be able to attach to our warships for carrying, since they'd be too small to mount interstellar drives.

Guys, I don't know if you have noticed but there has been an alarming tendency that our rival corporation are forming alliance blocks to gain more power.
Take Pentex for example, they have Tyrell, and MNU (or was it Zork) helping them. I guess Tyrell does all the amoral bio research, they cannot disclose it and don't gain too much profits so they work together with Pentex. MNU provides Pentex with military weapons/starships. And Pentex does all the evil intelligent leader stuff.
The trend is, that all of the most evil corps are banding together.

Now, I am not trying to say that we or other are "goody" corps. We are still a corporation but more in traditionally "moral ambiguous" way.
These other fuckers are clearly mania chaotic evil fucks.

I think we should try to work together with other more "normal" corps, maybe form an alliance. Morgan industries are already a "friend" of ours. RDA hasn't done anything bad towards us (as far as I can recall) and they aren't too evil, just greedy.

You successfully hack. The Lone Gunmen give you the results.

The biological weapon is essentially green goo. It eats, breeds, eats, breeds, eat and breeds at an exponential rate unlike anything natural. It could theoretically consume all biological material on Earth within three days and then consume itself within another two, leaving nothing behind and nothing alive, reducing the planet to a rock.

Judging how Pandora is smaller than Earth, reduce the estimated time taken to reduce it to a barren wasteland to three days instead of five.

    Also:
    - Constructing two spy satellites.
    - Constructing five war drones.

All of your Hermes yards are busy.

    Year 2161:
STFU says that if you are in dire need of cash, they will consider giving you a loan if you request one of them. These loans will have no interest for two years, then it'll be 5% per year. They are not changing the deal.
One of the Lone Gunmen, "Haglund" has been founded hideously maimed and murdered in his own home. He has been placed in such a position that his hands are stretching apart his rectum in a gross, truly horrifying and sickening manner, gore spilling out of the orifice. On his back, a message is carved: "WE KNOW MEMES TOO".
The populations of Hermes and Ares have come to a deal. The population of Hermes has moved residency to Ares in order to save on resources, although they will still go to Hermes via portals for work.
A rising star in the corporate world, "Chrysalis Corporation", has joined the space race and has sent out its first probe.
You get a few of the New Peoples' finest intellectuals to assist you in your work. You're also starting a program to educate the youngest with the most potential in your sciences.
Warship 1, Spy Satellites 1 & 2 and War Drones 1-5 have been constructed.

Too dangerous? To who? The Na'Vi have no way of getting off planet, any attempt at 'euthanasia' is clearly a transparent ruse to get the planet cleared for mining. Talk to hippy organizations, sound as bleeding heart about it as possible.
Say that we gave our Viking Oath that the Na'Vi would have our protection and while we couldn't keep that project, we will do all we can to restore the planet, even if we have to pay out of our pocket. Say it's a non-profit thing (Which is a lie, the benefits include delicious research, earning the gratitude of Eywa, and hammering the first nail in Pentex's coffin)

    Oh I remembered something!!

Guys, I propose one of the long term goals!

We should seek to gain independence from Earth general. As the things stand now, we spend money (not resources) to gain new stuff, we need Earth market to supply us with money. But if something happens to Earth (like major disaster) then we are fucked too or if we fall out of favor we will lose money supply and our assets.

Right now, with more investment we could turn Ares into Earth level society and could use it instead. Since we are basically the owners of it, we wouldn't even need to expend money. Only resources from the planet.

But Ares shouldn't be the only failsafe. We must make more colonies. The factor that is holding us back is the population. Earth has 10bil+, our colonies just few hundred. Of course we can't just make more people outright so we should do as >>10697171 said.
And invest heavily in robotics. The we could swarm non-habitable/hostile planets with robots who could turn the planet into a major powerhouse (think terminators running the planet, hopefully without rebelling).

But at this moment, we must keep sending more people and supplies to our established colonies.

You have constructed three new warships.
You have constructed six new war drones.
Heavy Freighter 11 has arrived with new construction yard parts on Hermes and has built another construction yard.
RDA has fallen through and is in the process of being liquidated.
Through your share, you have gained possession of five construction yards, Avatar Project research and half of their research team.
Lady Deidre Skye walks in when you're not busy to politely inform you that your Neural Networking research has been completed early and you can now add something else to the research list. Would you like to see a possible list?

My Humble Suggestion to you, Our Fair Advisors and Board Members-

Without having some form of money saved away, we are going to have difficulties when we suffer a set back- without liquid assets saved we may suffer irreparable harm.Indeed, our Agreement with STFU requires we spend the money, but now how.

    So, here's my suggestion.

Create various 'dummy' research/study group companies- hire minimal staff, in rented offices.Have them produce tri-annual reports on subjects of low key interest like clothing trends, food trends, ect.

Funnel money into these companies, but keep them off the public market, no open stocks for purchase.

If we need resources, you liquify all the assets, and you have a few billion dollars for emergencies.

Also, since it is our major profit stream, I suspect shenanigans will arise soon. I hope we are spending as much as possible to protect our assets.

Oh, since one of our super agents is dead.

    Dear Plasma,

What about our portal shielding technology? It's currently exorbitantly costly, almost uneconomical really. It's also only supposed to work some of the time.

With our contest researching anti-ordnance technology such as MNU's 'disco' shield I think it's important we give our ships a deterrent of some sort, if not an actual distinctive advantage.

Could we add 'enhanced portal shielding' to the list.

Oh, and we might want to construct goo fallout shelters on both Ares and Hermes. Just in case Pentex is up to no good (which they obviously are).
