    Chp 2 Pt1: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/12385200/

The sisters shift uncomfortably, their faces hardening, though the idea of what they were about to do seemed to haunt them. Evangela straightened up, taking a deep breath before approaching the window, raising her voice.

"You come here and strike down and humiliate us. You have come to break our spirits, but we shall remain here and fight until we draw our last breath!"

The corrupt sister grinned widely. "I hoped you would say that..." She snapped her fingers, the possessed sisters going into a frenzy, firing their bolters at the windows, though they seemed to be a rather poor aim, their bodies twitching and jerking.

'Sisters! I call out to you! Even now, in the form hidden and bound by the destroyers powers, I can see you.
I can see you and your battles and know that, even as your bodies are wracked by the vile wishes of the deamon, you fight still. I can see your desperation, I can sense your despair.
For you, you may believe this is the greatest battle you’ve ever fought- a direct contest of wills between that which you have sworn to destroy.
For me, that is a Tuesday afternoon!
COME ON YOU PANSIES! YOU’VE SPENT YOUR ENTIRE LIVES TRAINING FOR THIS MOMENT- TO TAKE THE FIGHT TO THE DEAMON ON HIS OWN GROUND!
DON’T LET THE OPPORTUNITY PASS BY!
FIGHT! STRIKE NOT WITH BOLTER, BLADE, OR BURNING PITCH, BUT WITH THE SACRITY OF YOUR VERY SOULS!
FIGHT! YOUR WEAPONS IN THIS BATTLE ARE THE PRAYERS YOU’VE BEEN LEARNING SINCE BEFORE YOU CAN REMEMBER. YOUR ARMOR IS YOUR CONTEMPT INGRAINED SINCE BEFORE BIRTH!
Look at the deamon twisting within you, perverting The God Emperor’s most sacred warriors! Will you stand for such an outrage!
Fight now! Fight for your Sisters in Arms! Fight for the grace of preserving this, your most sacred of sacreties! Fight to save your souls from eternal damnation!
FIGHT BECAUSE YOU WERE BORN TO FIGHT!

    >cont
You think this is bad! I've been to hell and back Ladies, and what you are experiencing is nothing more then a light migraine in comparison!
Look at yourselves, betwitched by the forces of the ruinous powers!
What is a deamon? Nothing more then a miserable pile of emotions!

*Evangela, get up and flutter your wings a bit, try to look holy and symbolic why don't you? And would it kill you to use some sort of blessed radiation to help motivate them?*
Look, sisters! Look unto Evangela our living Saint!
She was like you! Bound and raped and disfigured a thousand times over by the forces of Heresy, her body scarred beyond comprehension, her mind broken!
But do you think that let her stop her?
Hell no! She broke through that!
How? By purity, piety, and above all else unflinching hatred of the warp the wytch and the mutant!
These are the values we have built the imperium on, and it will be a cold day on Maggretha before I let them fall.
Let the emotions flow through you- the anguish, the hatred, the sheer unthinking ignorance!
    Take power from them!
AND THEN KICK THOSE DEAMONS IN THE BALLS!"

"And as for you Mirial Sabathial born in M41: 52, served under cannoness Talsan the Unforgiving of the Swift Striking Justicars of the Emperor, a small fringe sub sect based in the Kronus Expanse, listed as Killed in Action in M41:110, reappearing three decades later during a rearguard action on Sanctum Sancturis leading a band of the followers of Slaanesh (Breath)
Who the hell do you think you are?
You come to us in this parade of misfortune and and deception, and deign to act as though somehow you are a threat?
Mirial, let me tell you one thing- you are, at best, an oddity in the minds of the Ruinous ones. And if you believe anything different then you are stupider then you look!
You call this a moral dillemna?
Please- I once had to slaughter my way out of a schoa progenium where all of the Kindertoten had been transfixed by a weaver of Khorne!
I've destroyed entire populated planets just to watch them burn!
I do not see today a champion of chaos- instead I see a petulant child, one jealous of her siblings for the attention they receive from their farther!
you've shown that the forces of chaos are too afraid to fight except when they have the overwhelming advantage and can only enjoy themselves if they have absolute control over their opponents and no fear of retribution.
When I look at you, Mirial Sabatheial, I see a sad, lost little girl quaking in armor three times to big for her!
I do not feel hatred, or anger, or fear.
    I feel only pity.
Mirial Sabathiel- you are small time!"

Evangela steps to the broken window as you speak, bullets hitting the frame and her armor, letting her rosy, divine glow shine down on the possessed sisters.

Miriael looks infuriated as you finish your speech, her entire form quaking with rage and raw power. Arcs of warp lightning and fire jump from her clenched fists and grinding teeth, her pure white eyes ablaze with an unfathomable hate.

The volley of shots becomes even less accurate, several of the charging sisters falling forward, seizing, but they were still coming.

The Black Harlot barked several commands, a several squads of girls with chainswords walking forth, their arms bulging with muscle. They twitched and drooled as they walked, wearing little to know armor. At the center of each was a whispy figure. A daemon only visible from the corners of your eye, and from the daemon extended psychic tethers controlling the lot. These sisters were completely mindless, chaos having obliterated all that they were. No amount of talk would dissuade them.
    >> His Divine Power 11/16/10(Tue)15:08 No.12820359
    >>12820352

On their heels were two or three squads of corrupted seraphim, their jump packs resembling what the chaos raptors use. They were also outfitted with sonic weaponry, the guns had been cut down in size, and likely power to be able to be attached to one arm. In the opposite arm they held some form of close combat weapon, either power or chain.

Following the possessed seraphim was another chaotic sister. This one stood tall, her body wracked with warp mutations, a huge grin plastered on her face. From the patterns on what was left of her armor, you could tell she was a Canoness.

She reached to draw her sword, advancing a single step toward Mirial, her head snapping back as the daemon wrestled her into control. "Kill them all."

The canoness growled, turning and charging toward the building, drawing her blade.

The Corrupt Seraphim moved forward, rocketing up and through the windows around you. You stumbled back to avoid their strike

The sisters seemed to snap into action, firing at the onrush of chaos, casualties on both sides growing at an alarming rate.. The farseer and her warlocks was in a state of deep concentration, the entire group glowing faintly. Of the other eldar, only the Harlequins remained, the others going down to fight on the front lines.

We may be able to save the cannonness, I have no idea about the seraphim. They are not celestians, so I don't think they have the insane force of will that is probably required to break the bond.
And as the blade destroys that which it touches, it should prevent the daemon from claiming the sisters soul, and it may destroy the daemon as well.

Deciding to use the energy-blade only to destroy the seraphims' weapons, Inquisitor Kravos sets her psyblade to stun to save as many sisters as possible.
While advancing towards the nearest chaos infested warrior she tries to get an overview of the situations, are the Farseer and the warlocks in danger? How long until the other chaos troops reach her position? As she gets close enough to charge she begins shouting the ancient war-chant of sector tiijii:
"Waifus for the waifu pile. Bitches for the golden throne!". Have at them.

Still, you do what you can in my job- and like hell am I seeing anymore of the god emperor's servants condemned to burn alive from the inside out for the rest of eternity.
"Try to keep the sisters with a chance alive! Fight to disarm or wound!" I shout, before adding sotto vocco "IF you know how to do such a thing,"

As you speak, one of the seraphim swoops down, swinging wildly at your head. You raise your blade to defend yourself but Galatea intercepts, the posessed sister's skull cracking open like a ripe melon in her power fist. Brain matter and bits of oozing from between the fingers of the powerfist.

The elder sister's eyes were haunted. "Now's not the time for words inquisitor! Defend yourself and free my sisters from this hell!"

She cast the body aside, revving her chainaxe and throwing herself at another.

Filigree had backed away from the fight, standing in the furthest corner of the room, watching it with the excitement of a child.

The sisters were doing their best to fight off the seraphim, the Silver Winged Angels being the only ones to fight them on equal ground... well... air in this case.

You turned your head as a horrible metalic tearing sound filled the air. A seraphim had cut Tybalt clean in half, as well as Sister Anna's bolter. She was now moving in for the final blow.

Another cry attracted your attention. The Carol and Coral were being overwhelmed, the one healthy sister doing her best to defend her injured sibling with the twin fractal blades.

You chuck a spent magazine at Filigree, hitting her squarely between the eyes. She is about to yell at you when you bark and order out, pointing to the twins.

You move in toward Anna, getting the jump on the sister that was attacking her. Your presance was enough of a distraction for Anna to land a hard punch to her face, breaking her nose and knocking her out of the air.

You bring your sword down three times. Once to destroy her sonic weapon, once to remove her sword, and once through her thigh, incapacitating her.

Anna, however, didn't stop, leaping on the disarmed woman and slamming her hard into the mosaic stone floor. She grabbed her by the shoulders and repeated the effect several times before attempting to strangle her.

Filigree was not quite so fortunate. She managed to entangle two of the sisters who, being posessed by slaaneshi daemons, did not seem to mind... or be hindered very much for that matter. The third seraphim found the end of her lightning claw, the daemonette dropping the corrupted sister to the ground to bleed out.

The force of the blast knocks you off your feet and deafens and stuns you for a moment. You drop your force blade, but you still have the Solex blade. Your inferno Pistol is holstered on your hip.

Filigree is jerked forward by the Seraphim. She smirks, using agility and luck to swing around the seraphim, her lightning claw piercing through both of their torsos and into the ground. She pulls the claw and lash back, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand.

I'd like to advise against this. As much as I hope we might save the sisters, once we consider they're possessed by Slaaneshi daemons, we should be able to deduct that such a manoeuvre might stun our allies while doing nothing against their enemies - leaving our troops unable to defend themselves and thus enabling the enemy's forces to attack much more easily.

Urk, if the feedback screech doesn't affect the daemons, we could lose some sisters if we do that.
I strongly suggest we work out what we are missing before we do anything rash, at least that way we have some hard evidence as to why it is a bad idea, rather than the, we may be able to save them option, which the sisters may not even listen too. Some of them are in a battle rage, do you think they are going to listen to our claims that are based of a feeling that something is wrong?

Also, there is more than just this one city. There are bound to be thousands of sisters all getting horrorslaaneshraept.

Perhaps there is something special about us killing the possessed sisters, in that it could be viewed as an imperial servant striking down another imperial servant.

Or perhaps, this is about the emotions that would be caused in this battle, the distress and suffering of the possessed coupled with the hate and anger of the sisters.

Filigree whined. "But! Nooo... What did I do?"

Anna had backed into a corner, Verity halfway behind her. She was taking aimed shots at the seraphim that got to close, Verity lending her gun on occasion, though her accuracy was poor.

Elizabeth and Sonja were fighting side by side. Elizabeth had taken to using an inferno pistol but Sonja was not so lucky. She had used up all of her bolt pistol ammunition and was forced to use her sniper rifle in close combat, the metal barrel dented and twisted from the abuse.

Tessa seemed to be doing fine, firing the combi-flamer attached to her chainsword. She set the window shades on fire, but the building was almost entirely stone. The fire wouldn't do much damage.

Galatea was a maelstrom of death, screaming in rage as she slaughtered the chaos that crossed her path.

Florencia was doing similarly but was having a harder time, she seemed injured, though her thunderhammer still managed to strike true.

The battle itself had shifted away from the twins, giving them a brief respite.

I've just had a worrying thought, I mentioned earlier how we may inadvertantly cause this area to be shunted into the warp, what if that is what this about?
Think about it. There is a major event in 40K fluff where extreme ammounts of emotion shunted a whole area of the galazxy into the warp, the fall of the eldar and the eye of terror. There are a lot of emotions in this room, emotions influence the warp, it may be possible that this is what will cause the planet to fall to the warp. For all we know, this may be occurring across the planetm think about all that emotion and what it must be doing to the warp.

The sonic weaponry shrieked and echoed through the small room. Even with the psychic amplification you were not going to be heard.

You move toward Florencia, grabbing your force blade as you move past it. The remaining seraphim too preoccupied to bother you as you made your way over.

The Canoness's fury was palpable, her thunder hammer shattering bone and armor with each mighty swing. She nearly struck you down as you approached, the Canoness twitching at the last moment, missing you by inches.

She didn't stop to apologize, turning once again to swing her gore-spattered weapon her battered opponents.

There was blood seeping out of the joints in the leg of her armor and out of her ear on the same side.

Well, Omegon, among other things we seem to have run straight into the wall of crushing inevitability.
It seems extremely unlikely that we can stop this fight. We would do much better if we could find a means of subverting its purpose, i.e. find out why it is happening and working out how we can stop the intended effects. Filigree may be a good source of information on this, as may the farseer.

As for the clusterfrack? Well...I have been advocating an unpopular path for a while. The direction that the current anons tried to take the quest would have been interesting if they had succeeded, however, you can't win everything and this time they lost.

... That went better then expected
"You're Adepta Sorotias, Sisters in Battle, the Emperors wives, the finest and most elegant in battle the Imperium of man has to offer short of His Blessed Astarts-
SO STOP BEHAVING LIKE A BUNCH OF UNDERHIVE JUVES HOPPED UP ON SLAUGTH AND START ACTING LIKE SISTERS!"
    Goddamnit I need a cigar
"Come on, help me bind these Seraphim before the next wave hits- and by bind I do NOT mean Brutally murder, condemning innocent souls to the eternal hellfires of the warp!"
"You and you! You have so much energy to dash out your sisters brains, why don't you help lift that rock and try to SAVE some of them!"
I rush over to the nearest alive fallen sister, and toss my inferno pistol over to the nearest sister
"Here, I'm going to save your comrade in arms life. If I start jibbering about the warp and how it's a good pain, give me the count of ten and then give me the emperors mercy,"

(im going to assume you said Daughters of the Emperor and not the Emperor's Brides/Wives because the latter is one HELL of an insult)

You successfully bind the last 4 sisters, each one of them struggling fruitlessly to move. Now that you were closer and not fighting, it was easy to see the damage Chaos had wrought on their broken forms.

Many of the sisters were turned away from them, unable to look at the harlots. Others were wandering about or doing something to distract themselves. Something still felt off though... It was oddly quiet, despite the warp storm.

"Tessa, Filigree! Help me get them to a secure location before the next wave hits us... am I the only one or is it eerily quiet for a chaos invasion?"
(Maybe the Eldar have been successful in destroying the critical number of warp generators?)

no warp generators on this planet. this is all raw chaos.

Ah, sorry. I though all those other planets with warp generators were powering the assault on Ophelia VII and that the other Eldar forces are trying to destroy those, thus cutting the local chaos forces off from their reinforcements.

Yeah, I knew it was one of those two, either the daughters or the brides.
Well, I suppose that's okay thanks for catching that OP- now
    ....
Wait, only 4 of the fallen sisters survived?

The planets with warp generators spawn daemons as a side effect. the generator's purpose is to pull the planet into the warp and create a mini eye of terror. destroying said planet will destroy the portal but you have a hundred or more chaos sisters charging up the stairs below you ready to kill you so just because you dont see them right now doesn't mean chaos isn't there.

Also, Chaos didn't do it to this planet because they want to take it by force as an example

    Clear things up?

    We're autosaging anyway...

Let's figure out an action for the new thread first
Try our best purificiate one of the fallen sisters?

    >>12842406
"Well, what are you lot lolling about for? I'm sure these gigantic stained glass windows need boarding up- so that way we won't have a repeat of this situation or the one with the cultists on the flying discs?"
Are the rest of the chaos forces still making their assault? Try to discern what, if anything, is happening
Once we've concluded that the rest of the building hasn't fallen to cultists are gotten sucked into the warp, move onto the fallen Sisters
    (srsly, there are only four?)
Lay on hands psykic double reach around mobius purifiction is a go

"Well- what are you waiting for? Emperorsmass?
There are several hundred forces of chaos below us- the sisters that look like walking planks of meats you can kill, their personalities have been completely stripped bare by deamons.
The others, however, should be left alive, at the moment- at least until I've finished exploring the exact nature of their binding."
Where's Filigree and Rowdan when you need them?
    >> Anonymous 11/18/10(Thu)09:48 No.12842610
"Cannonesses- now that you're not in the middle of berserker rage and only moderately likely to kill me rather then certainly- did you happen to notice anything as you gaily slaughtered your way through your former sister in arms? Perhaps the fact that, for deamon controlled warriors, they seemed to go down rather easily and without much fight?"
