THIS IS NO ZAKU GENTLEMEN, NO ZAKU.

You are ace pilot Sir David Lister* Lt. JG for the Principality of Zeon.
Together you and your band of merry men, and women, and women who dress like men, are fighting across america against the federation.

The story so far: After spending a month fighting off Federation Guerillas in Arizona you have at last returned to your base of operations with the 321 Company in California. During the campaign you picked up two new pilots and a Mobile Armour for your squad.

After returning, your Captain informs you that the de facto head of the entire Earth Campaign: Lord Captain Garma Zabi, wishes to see you personally...

"Uh sir? Should I put my mustache back on?" Ruubens asks.

"Whilst that would be hilarious, no, I don't think that be a good idea."

Presently, a black car is sent around to pick you up and you all shuffle inside.

Although in a real firefight I'll be sure to defer to your experience! Your Barracks will be transferred her to the mansion, and you'll be using the underground hangars beneath to house your Mobile Weapons."

YOU ARE NO LONGER PART OF 321 COMPANY
YOU ARE NOW: LORD GARMA'S HONOUR GUARD.

I'm pretty sure it's a lot like pic related.

After accepting his offer, Garma offers you late supper, it seems rude to turn him down. You spend about an hour drinking highly expensive red wine, hoping it wont go to your or anybody elses head, and eating some very nice cold meat and other odds and ends.

You have a polite if a little awkward conversation with Garma. He seems nice enough, but you're pretty sure if you put your foot wrong here he can have you all killed.
You find the time to bring up your treatise on Post Invasion peacekeeping and policing within occupied zones. He seems interested by the idea, and your idea for an essay on combined arms theories involving Tanks, MA's and Mobile Suits.

Around 11 you are transferred back into your old Barracks for one last night's sleep there.
Not that you really ever did all that much, you spent most of your time with the 321 company out in Arizona.

    Okay, back from Dinner.

For the record ALL of your Zaku's can be upgraded to F2's.
The Gouf B is a close combat monster, featuring a "head rod" which is essentially a giant taser whip, and an intergrated 75mm finger vulcan system for a right hand.

Also, there are several new weapon systems now available. Aside from the F2's 90mm Rifle with underslung Grenade Launcher, MS scale Panzerfausts are now available, as well as the Zaku Flamethrower.

You go to see the people from Zimmad to see what they want you test out THIS time.
Though to be fair, without agreeing to be a test pilot, you wouldn't have gotten the Gouf OR the Hilda.

You ask this question to the head scientist.

"Okay, one of the primary issues we wanted to address was the issue of battlefield mobility. So we crafted a thermonuclear fanjet hoversystem into the legs and skirt armour. You can use it to move and great speeds over light terrain, also, it's armour and size practically dwarfs the Zaku and Gouf!"

    "It's not THAT big."

"It's still bigger. It's been officially classed as a heavy mobile suit."

"Oh, and were also using it to test out this big bruiser..."

You notice a truly GIGANTIC bazooka adjacent to the Mobile Suit.

It makes the ammo mags/clips (delete as appropriate) easier to store, and as a result you can fit more of them onto the backpack. Effectively you have the same amount of ammo, you're just switching mags over more.

According to his file, his father is one of the Generals on Garma's staff. Probably one of the four or five men who are ACTUALLY running the Earth Campaign.

His test scores seem above average, but he is untried.

After setting up your squad you finish moving all of your stuff into the mansion. You are each alloted a fairly palatial room in the mansion as your quarters. You are also all given pagers, which go off around 3pm. Captain Garma is calling you into his quarters for a mission.

He certainly doesn't waste any time.

Luckily yes. That's what she's spent most of the morning doing. She hadn't had to unpack yet so she had some extra time.

You all manage to arrive realtively smart looking in the briefing room.

"Well ladies and gentlemen, I sincerely hope you are all settled in now, since I've reached an agreement with my erstwhile handlers. They've agreed to let us inspect the troops up north.
Tommorow morning I've been *sigh* allowed to visit the troops in Canada. I've had General Amazaki forward the relevant details to your room Lieutenant. I hope to see you all bright and early gentlemen. Please do all remember to wrap up."

You are then dismissed. When you return to your office, you find a dossier on the forces stationed in Quebec on your desk.

The Giant Bazooka isn't in production, it's still in the prototype stage.

Anyway the next morning, you are pleased to see that the new Dom has arrived and that all of the upgrade work on your squad has finished. The Squad is then loaded up, Garma is taking his custom Zaku (his perogative you guess.) in his own private Gaw. The Gaw is also carrying the Hildolfr as well. The rest of you are escorting the Plane whilst riding on Dodai's.

Since he's part of the support squadron along with Jolyne and Hovis, he's probably as safe as can be expected.

You arrive at 11am in Quebec Airport, and are welcomed by some bigwigs. From there your unit disembarks and travels on MS, escorting Garma as he talks with the guy in the Jeep.

Eventually the Jeep takes you to his first stop: the 14th Air Squadron.

I agree Garma in his Zaku if its there while we get him to safety. If no zaku then let him ride with Rubens, Zol and Ruubens and the new guy flee with Garma to safety while Jol shoots at federation fighters, Hovis shoots down Medea. Us, we go ahead and make sure Jol and Hovis aren't attacked.

Land Route, /do not/ load up into a Gaw unless all enemy fighters are destroyed. It's too great a risk.
Also, Blitz the Medeas. Buy time for an orderly fallback.

Stick Garma in his Zaku. The Dopp would be a sitting duck with all the Fed fighters up there. Have Zol and our Zakus cover him while us, the Hidolfr, and Jolyne shell those Medeas out of the sky.

Ask Garma if a training session or two so you all can better react to each other in case of a fight we can't run away from.

The pages on MAHQ.net themselves work, it's just the menu bar. You can find the pages simply by putting in the MS name and number into google.

You politely stuff Garma in with Ruubens and tell her to dash to the Gaw. You put her in a squad with Shiro and Zol, you make Zol the squad leader.

Meanwhile you tell Jolyne and Hovis to switch to AA ammo and start attacking those Medeas. Your Bazooka, with it's low ammo, isn't really all that good for dealing with airforces.

It might do better with tanks - for instance the once the Medeas are paradropping onto Quebec.

    YOUR ORDERS?

Which might be a good thing - boost morale, etc. Plus, all he needs is to be present, and in a Zaku - he doesn't need to do any actual fighting.

Use bazooka on Medeas; they make big enough targets that we have a decent chance of hitting, right?

Blitzkreig the tanks. Use our ridiculous speed and firepower to completely disrupt their formations. Start spamming that heat saber if we run out of ammo.

We want Garma to survive, right? Thing is, there's no way we can save him from everything he's going to face. We'll eventually miss something.
He needs to man up and become a confident asskicking machine to survive, and us hiding him from every potential danger isn't going to do that.
    >> Voleron 01/02/10(Sat)17:37 No.7395839
    >>7395815

Yes, but he doesn't have his Zaku with him. So unless you want him to be sent out to fight tanks and fighters with his service pistol...

    >He needs to man up and become a confident asskicking machine to survive, and us hiding him from every potential danger isn't going to do that.

True, but we need to get him trained to a degree of competence first. If he jumped in his Dopp without first getting some practice in a relatively safe environment then he would end up dead sooner than in canon.

I agree with you but now just isn't the time to start manning him up.
