You wake up and look around. Same old apartment, same old window, same old city. The date is March 5, 2015. You get up and check your e-mail.

There isn't much. Three offers telling you how to get a bigger penis, one automated newsletter from a site you haven't visited in six months, and another email full of jokes from a coworker who never seems to get the hint that you don't find them funny. Same old, same old, same old.

Except for this one last e-mail, from an address you don't recognize. You open it.

It reads simply, "you have been chosen."

    What's your next action?

Not a window, a peephole. You look out the peephole. Two guys, not wearing uniforms or anything really distinctive, are standing outside. They don't look particularly suspicious.

    >I tell them I left my cellphone at home, and I think I should follow them... then check my cellphone while their backs are turned.

You tell them you left yours at home, but that you'll follow them. Bob says, "yeah, it probably just says the same thing." While you walk to the place indicated, you follow a few steps behind and check your phone. It does, in fact, say the same thing.
You arrive at the restaurant and Bob tells the hostess that he left a red coat on a chair. She goes and fetches it. It's not cheap, but aside from that it's fairly unremarkable.

You suggest to Bob and Mark that you should split up, pointing out that the man was typing a message, meaning he was at a higher level than you. Bob agrees, while Mark isn't as receptive to the idea. "What if that's what they want us to do? Pick us off one by one, you know?"

That's why we don't leave the area, so we can keep an eye on each other. Besides, if they REALLY wanted to pick us off, they wouldn't do it in the restaurant. If they kill us now, it'll be to send a message, meaning it would be likely both so swift and brutal sticking together would become a liability.
