So, you're on the boat, talking with Seviper; you've just found out about Sableye being the unlucky Rocket's other Pokemon. What do?

After it commented on wanting to know what killed it's master (previous thread), we say this to Seviper:

"It was that Monster from before that killed him. You saw what he tried to do with THIS human. I don't trust humans myself, but that....THING, back there - whatever it was - it will pay for what it's done: to your Master and all the other Masters and their Pokemon that died in that place. This I swear to you."
    >> Tits !K6Y3jvHRYk 01/09/10(Sat)19:26 No.7511154
    >>7511115
Seviper nods at that, accepting it. "You're very young, but I sense that you're very strong of will as well."
As he says this, you think you can hear faint laughter somewhere in your mind.
    >> Researcher Sam 01/09/10(Sat)19:26 No.7511156
    >>7511115
This. Also seconding the idea from the very end of last thread about catching ourselves in a pokeball and then burying/smashing it so that we can never be caught.

Although if we smash it that might just make us recaptureable.

So is Seviper also a psychic type, or does the laughter sound like it's coming from the monster, or possibly the whateveritwas in the other pokeball?

All right. You can see land ahead in the distance; it looks like you're heading for a cove of some kind. You can see small shapes circling around it, and beyond it, much taller and larger shapes (from the players' perception, it looks like the skyline of a city).

Also, I deem that you three gain two levels for surviving a dangerous threat. Charmander is now level 10, and Magnemite and Snover are level 9. Snover also learns Icy Wind.

One of people on deck walks down to see the woman in the boat, who hops out and gives a brief salute. The woman says something that's a bit too far out of range and fast for you to hear, although it does involve gesturing at you. The other woman that she's talking to looks around at the four of you, then pulls out a Poke Ball; out from it jumps a Poochyena, who walks over to you, seeming to bow slightly.
"Welcome to the Team Aqua base."

    Team Aqua?

    Well... Balls.

For the un-informed, they're a group from Pokemon 3rd generation. Depending upon what game you're playing they're either the good guys or the bad guys, but basically operate in a similar fashion to Team Rocket, but don't go about capturing every wanton Pokemon without a reason if it promotes their goals (flooding the world with Kyogre, a Water-type that can control the oceans).

Hey, I was right! Wait... is this pre- or post-realizing that their plans have consequences and toning it down a notch? Because while they might not have been as anti-pokemon evil as Team Rocket even at their worst, they were still kinda jerks.

Sorry for the meta, I'm just curious. Heck, even knowing that it's team Aqua doesn't assure us that this is Hoenn. Just as Team Rocket had bases in Johto and Kanto, so too could Aqua spread to other regions.

Regardless, I suppose we should thank him for his courtesy. Unless it's a she, in which case change that sentence as needed.

It means that people are interested and immersing themselves in the game. who we can just go and visit later if we deem Aqua as meeting our needs. Right now isn't the time for our group to get involved with any other group and their interests, we already have enough on our plates. This woman doesn't seem to be involved with the group directly, and as a mercenary she'll have less constricted opportunities, with her, we don't hedge our bets.

Frankly, we need to know why this chick was at the lab first, and if that brings up something that would lead us to want to talk with Archie, then we see him, but I'm more concerned why they hired mercenaries to tackle a Rocket lab.

talking with him causes us potential problems, especially since we can just get that information from the woman.

the inherent risk (and keep in mind Seviper doesn't like Aqua, he is a potential ally, and one that will help keep us from being pokeball'd) isn't worth the reward, especially since we can gain our reward (the information we want) through the woman. Go with the woman and get some icecream, have her tell us what's going on, and for god sakes, let Sableye in on what's happening, it's only right.

My vote, we leave Aqua alone for right now. We can come back to them later if we need to.

THAT is what sage is for dipshit, like I am doing now, it has nothing to do with whether or not I like the thread, /b/ (which I'm guessing where you first learned about sage) does it wrong. one post negates every sage before it.

so before you spout off your stupid drivel, make sure you sage so it doesn't bump a thread when it doesn't need to be. fucktard.

Not that I agree with that guy on the first part, but doesn't sage count against the post limit? 4chan faq has this to say:

    What is "sage"?

Entering "sage" (by itself) into the [E-mail] field while replying will cause the thread not to bump to the top of the page, while still counting against its reply count. Threads that reach their reply limit can no longer be bumped, causing them to sink to the back pages and be pruned more quickly.

All right. I think I'll end this thread here; we're close to the autosage limit as it is, and I'd like to get something to eat and take a shower. I'll make the sixth thread when I come back, hopefully a bit more awake.

finally finished, that took some working.
SARINA with her fashionable HAT and BLUEBERRY ICE CREAM.
i wasn't sure how exactly the symbol worked, this way seemed the most simple and striking.

Any chance you could give us a general ETA for getting back? One hour, two, ...?

this is only the second today.

Three yesterday. What i am more curious about is as to when the OP will run this quest? weekends? Everyday?

We'll have to make a point of asking him when the next thread show up. Would somebody mind archiving this thread and keeping it from 404ing so that they can link the new thread at the bottom? I'm going to do the same as Tits and get a shower and some food.

I hope not everyday. Every quest that tries to go for every day non-stop ends up disappearing, usually due to the OP getting burned out or loosing interest. I'd rather have this to look forwards to once or twice a week at a set day/time then have it go five days back-to-back and then stop abruptly in the middle of the adventure.

    My two cents.

Yeah, every day is probably bad.

Though I am considering running my own quest. "Vana'diel quest: Adventures in the world of Finaru Fantasy Ereven"

Also, as i asked before, what the hell do we do now?

Bump the thread every half-hour or so until Tits comes back, then link the new thread at the bottom.

Eh, we only have about 10-15 posts before autosage; I'd suggest against it, but we can ride the autosage for a few hours. Up to you I guess.

There are two reasons why Sableye is one of my favorites:

    1. It's Dark/Ghost, and thus has no type weakness.

    2. >It digs branching holes in caves using its sharp claws in search of food--raw gems. A Sableye lurks in darkness and is seen only rarely.
