Just one. All round, about three feet in diameter. But they come in clear, concrete, and interweaving mesh varieties.

You can make all kinds of tubes!
You can make metal tubes, wooden tubes, green glass tubes, soap tubes, obsidian tubes...
But they all have to have a minimum diameter 1 m across which coincidentally is how big The Hunter is when she is in Morph Ball Mode.

Seal the whole place up, leave it for the bounty hunter to find. Also build your fort so that said sealed area is the only way (aside from a door requiring an upgrade past said door) into the second half of your base so she'll have to go through there.

It's funny, if you make a custom race called SPACE PIRATES and renamed lava as phazon, it'd blend seamlessly.

Well, replace the music with a suitable Metroid .mp3, and make BOUNTY HUNTER supermonsters.

No, the pirates still get a dangerous vibe for me, because they're quite willing to experiment with anything and everything they find. Sure, as most experimentation goes, a lot of it will end in failure, but that haphazard approach to science means they're often discover, and be quite willing to use, what would otherwise be exceptionally dangerous and powerful weapons and other technology.

Goblins get replaced by Federation Soldiers.

Every other mega creature gets replaced by named Hunters.

Samus is a beefed up dragon. It powers up whenever it reaches your stockpiles.

Adamantite = Phazon. Add new properties.

Some new shops and skills would deal with cloning vermin and infusing them with various weapons.

ok. Samus will be a new megabeast. Using a human as the base, she would be female only, high damage resistance, doesn't need to breathe, swim innate, building destroyer 2, trap avoid, can open doors.

I'm not sure about weapons though... the new version will have material breath attacks. That might work. Ice of course. Or just make a new material "beam" that boils at a very low temperature so it wont leave any residue.

The only reasons the ones in Prime even died was because they forsook most of their tech to live as one with the Tallon IV like natives. Also lore-entries found in their ruins in Prime very strongly hint that the Chozo exist across multiple dimensions.

Slaves to Ripley purple dragon II: Space Pirate Tubes

There would be three factions, Federation, Pirates and Hunters. Pirates would have to open tubes with their weapons so guns would be pretty common, and ammo would be unlimited for everything but missiles.

There would be swarms of differant new plants and animals, there would be a Chozo (or what ever they're called) faction that would always be destroyed before you start. Maybe even bring the races from Humters in too as other civs and playable races for adventure mode.

Phazon would be like magma but it could animate things and potentially make megabeasts in the middle of your fortress. Some of these monsters could be tamed and used for war.

Alternatively to doors having to be shot to open it could be like normal door opening, but they could only be destroyed by the kind of weapon that matches. Tubes could also be something made in a crafts shop or something and just placed like furniture. This also means they could be used as weapons in emergencies.
