429 KB Eclipse Phase's Transhumanity in the Mass Effec Universe Anonymous 02/24/10(Wed)07:29 No.8258145
IN THE PREVIOUS EPISODE OF /TG/

The Geth would maintain their presence behind the Perseus Veil, silently observing events unfolding in the Galaxy and around Transhumanity. Any thoughts regarding Transhumanity would revolve around the threat of the TITANS, which becomes a pressing concern for the Geth because they are synthetic intelligances and possibly more susceptible to them, and Transhumanity's response to the Fall.

While the Quarians, and by extension, Citadel Space halted AI research and development following the Geth's rise to sentience, Transhumanity further embraced Artificial Intelligences after the fall (though, not universally).

AI's and AGI's had, eventually, come to be considered as Transhumans in the System's Alliance. I am sure that the Geth would be very curious about this fact.

What is the meaning of this newfaggotry?
We where having quite a discussion in the other thread.

If a merged universe indicated the presence of ETI involvement in both the exurgent virus and the Reapers.

I think I'm gonna have to post some pastas.

The writefag was away for 3/4 of the second thread. There was quite an interesting discussion going on until the thread went to autosage.

There I thought to myself. "well, it's at least 24 hours since the second thread went 404. even if Contagionist is not around. I'm pretty sure people migth have new Ideas to add."

I'd like to talk more on the effects of the Transhuman Exclusion Zone. With the galaxy closed to Transhumanity there is bound to be a lot of smuggling taking place. The most likely suspects for this are of course the Anarchist factions and the Batarians. As both are likely to ignore any laws set by the Systems Alliance and Galactic Council.

In order to move about in Galactic space Transhumanity will require new morphs that mimic alien species on the Genetic level, this is seeing as the council has gene scanning technology. This is where the Batarians come in. Batarian slavers would sell their wares to anarchists who would either taken genetic material for cloning or simply brain wipe and overwrite the various council races. Then they insert cortical stacks and they have a perfect spy to send into council space.

In addition I can see a large black market trade with Batarians and various merc group selling mass driver weaponry in exchange for bio weapons and nanoswarms.

Truthfully I think Quarians will make the best disguises for Transhuman spies. They are drifters, present in all areas of society but mostly overlooked. It's not considered out of the ordinary for them to be buying salvage or weaponry on their pilgramage which gives the agent's a good excuse to acquire mass effect engines.

In addition the suits make it less likely that someone will detect any biological differences from the false Quarians since they are in a sealed environment.
    >> Anonymous 02/24/10(Wed)11:38 No.8260228
I was thinking about it and came to the conclusion that allowing transhumanity to use alien bodies is unfair. I would say that cordical stacks only work for humans or morphs designed for them. we would have to research a new stack that could interface with alien species.
    >> Anonymous 02/24/10(Wed)11:39 No.8260237
    >>8260191
Eventually of course one of the Quarianmorphs would meet up with an actual Quarian, which will be fine if the false identity is from a different ship as it is unlikely they would know one another. But there is still the problem of the shared culture that the agent would not know.

I think Quarian's could be bought off rather easily with a gift of Medichines and become willing partners in Transhuman smuggling. They are relatively autonomous and separate from the galactic community and always in need of more technology and material. The Medichines would be the best gift we could give. As well as possibly genetically engineering the next generation of Quarians to no longer have such severe allergic reactions.
    >> Anonymous 02/24/10(Wed)11:39 No.8260243
    >>8260191
I agree. Quarians and Transhumans will probably become butt-buddies considering all the good they can do for each other. TH can give the Quarians an immune system within a few generations, if not in their generation. Quarians can help the TH travel outside the zone.

Also, might it be possible to sleeve TH in the ships themselves? No reason it can't be done I think, and the council would never think to scan a ship for a sentient mind, if they even could. People could just play VI for a while.

Then thousands of humans could upload themselves to the various Citadel fleets and take over everything at once. Vent the airlocks, turn off the power. Once everything is dead, Humans take over the Citadel and give the Quarians half.
    >> Anonymous 02/24/10(Wed)11:41 No.8260265
    >>8260228
Which would be why the Batarian slavers are so important. They bring test subjects so that we can experiment with different interfaces until we find one that can be used. It will probably be some time until they find a way to reliably clone the aliens as well and until then they will require more subjects.

But a Quarian is in a sealed environment. You could use a synth that is just physically similar and remain in the suit.

These threads reminded me why EP is awesome and why I should run a game of EP.

    >> Anonymous 02/24/10(Wed)11:44 No.8260301
The Hanar and the Octopi would most likely have a lot to talk about. Both of them are aquatic races. Both were uplifted by another species and are not natural sentient. Both are big squishy things with tentacles. I could see a lot of Octopi migrating to the Hanar homeworld since it actually has life sustaining oceans. They would be like the Drell.

    >> The Bearded Bear 02/24/10(Wed)11:47 No.8260337
    >>8260301
Despite the physical similarity there is a vast cultural distance between the two.
Hanar from what I have seen are chilled out, almost apathetic creatures while an average uplifted octopus is a very expressive and active individual.
    >> Anonymous 02/24/10(Wed)11:50 No.8260353
Now of course the Turians and Salarians would be infuriated if they find out Transhumans are breaking the peace agreement. But the Systems Alliance will just blame the Anarchist factions and say (truthfully) that they have no authority over them. They will also point out that the council should be reigning in the Batarian and various merc groups. So the political situation will be deadlocked with neither side having any real influence over the slavers.

The Hypercorps will have no real interest in stopping the smuggling but will likely try to take control of it from the Anarchists if they can. There will be a lot of conflict along the fringe of the exclusion zone as Hypercorps and Anarchists squabble over smuggled goods.

The Blues Suns, Eclipse, and Blood Pack will probably have just as much infighting amongst themselves. Armed with the new Transhuman weapons this will results in a lot of collateral damage. Nanoswarms let loose on Omega. Bioweapons in the wards on the Citadel. The Citadel fleet will be forced to step in and begin patrolling the zone to try and block the trade of illegal weaponry.
    >> Anonymous 02/24/10(Wed)11:51 No.8260364
    >>8260337
I said they would have a lot to talk about, not that they would necessarily get along. I think the biggest point of contention will be that the Octopi know exactly who uplifted them and how it happened. While the Hanar hold it as their religion.

I wonder what would a cross breed produce?

The octopi where uplifted by humans mind you. So the possibility for a initial harsh situation between the Hanar and the Octopi is possible. (seeing how we uplifted them and are treated as equals... I think. and seeing how the Hanar workship the protheans.)

They are not chemically compatible most likely. And anyway Octopi breed by filling a tentacle with sperm and detaching it so the female can take it with her. So that would just be awkward, smitten octopi just showing up and handing their severed tentacles to a Hanar.

Putting Transhumanity into the game plot can severely fuck up some game mechanics.

But it would be fun that if you die, you get re-sleeved or loaded at a different back up at another body inside the Normandy. (if you die first, your buddies pick up your iforgothisname with your data and you don't loose XP (though you loose weapons)

Alright here I go. Might take a while to get it all down because I'm writing as I post. I don't know all that much about EP so feel free to correct me or offer pointers that aren't "do her in the pooper."

Linya nar Qwib Qwib gulped as she eyed the metal giant beside her. She'd heard rumors of a new species that the council was trying to keep secret, but she didn't expect them to be machines.

When the strange ship had come into contact with the flotilla, her people had scanned it thoroughly and were surprised to find no lifeforms on board. At first they thought it was a derelict, ripe for salvaging, but when it opened communications everyone panicked. "Geth" had been the word around the fleet.

When a video link was established, They saw that it obviously wasn't the Geth. They were a new race, and it was swiftly uncovered just who and what they were. Transhumans. Organics that placed their consciousnesses into machine bodies. Incredibly advanced and incredibly dangerous. A good reason for the council to squelch the knowledge of their existence.

For some reason, the Admiralty had invited them aboard, and there was a palpable feeling of excitement in the air. Linya boosted her audio receivers, but she could only make out bits and pieces, something about tech transfers and medichines. While the negotiations had gone on, one of the larger TransHumans noticed her, despite her attempts at stealth and the fact that its back was turned. There must be some rear optics, thought Linya. The giant turned and approached her, leaving the negotiations. Apparently it wasn't taking part in them anyways.

"Hello there. My name is Magnus. You seem to be pretty interested in us. What's your name?"

At first, Linya couldn't say anything. The TransHuman was easily three heads taller than she was and bulkier, probably some kind of security for the diplomats. She took a deep breath: "My name is Linya!" Her voice had cracked from nervousness and she muttered under her breath. The TransHuman on the other hand, was laughing.

"Nice to meet you Linya. So, what would you like to know about us?"

Was it really talking to her? First Contact with a new species and she was going to talk to them? Linya was floored and she struggled to pull words together. "Well, I suppose that, well, I would like to know... 'what' you are?"

"I'm a TransHuman. We separated our minds from our organic bodies and can inhabit any body we create for ourselves."

"Not that, I mean, what I meant was, are you... a man? A woman? Your voice is deep, but that's not a universal thing."

Magnus' laugh sounded metallic as it was produced by the machine body he inhabited. "I'm male. I take it you're female? Your body type seems to be the norm for females."

Linya turned a dark shade of purple, and was thankful her mask didn't let it show.

"Y-Yes, I am a girl. But I won't be considered a woman until I finish my Pilgrimage, which is a journey we Quarians make to prove that we can be useful to the Flotilla." Linya tried to cover her nervousness by being factual. It didn't help much.

"I understand that you can't leave these ships because you have a weak immune system. Well, nothing's permanent yet, but if this deal here goes off then that might not be a problem for you any more."

    Linya went rigid. "What? How?!"

Magnus' amusement was in his voice. "We've got some pretty good technology when it comes to machinery, as you can imagine. Medichines are microscopic robots that act as an immune system. They'd be able to keep you safe against pathogens and allergens."

"We'd be able to take a new world..." Linya drifted off as she thought of the possibilities.

"So," Magnus said, "While the diplomats are busy talking, why don't you show me around? I'm sure no one will mind a giant robot wandering the halls."

Linya thought for a moment, wondering if the TransHuman was up to something. She decided that if she kept an eye on him, he wouldn't try anything dangerous. "Alright, follow me then."

I see Magnus as a bigger, clunkier type. Like that picture with the large robot and the smaller, human-looking girl side by side. But not so large that he'd be impossible to put on a ship.

    >>8263561
The two of them wandered through the ship. Magnus inquired about several things, like the history of the Quarians and the nature of the Geth intelligence, which Linya answered to the best of her ability. She asked Magnus about what it was like to have a robotic body. Finally, they came to a hallways lined with doors. Linya opened one up and invited Magnus into her room.

"Well," She began, "This is where I've lived most of my life. This room can be sterilized so that I can take off my suit for maintenance and when I just want to lounge around. There's a vidscreen, a computer, furniture, and so on."

"Not bad. I like the computer but I don't think this chair would hold me." Magnus rocked the chair for emphasis.

"So, I guess what I would like to know most about is how your body processes sensations. You used to have an organic body with nerves, do you still feel things now?"

"Well, it's a little different, and I can choose what I feel and when. Pain isn't there anymore. Instead it's just an information feed about damage, lets me focus on what I'm doing. Touch is pretty much the same, I can detect heat levels, heck I can even alter my own body temperature so that I can operate in extreme climates."

Linya noticed that Magnus had left out one very important physical sensation, and she was incredibly nervous, but also incredibly curious. "What... what about, you know..."

    "What about what?"

Linya stared a hole in the floor. "Well, you've told me how most of your body works, but you didn't tell me if you still feel pleasure." Her voice had dropped at the end, as she tried to cut herself off, but the result was instead sultry and seductive, an effect she had not expected.

"Pleasure? That's one that is under my control. But to be honest, doing that yourself isn't all that great in a robotic body. The thrill comes from having someone else, not being able to tell what they'll do next, wondering where their going to touch you..."

Magnus stopped and noticed that Linya had gotten very quiet and was sitting very still. He couldn't see her face, but behind her mask Linya's face was a deep purple shade of embarrassment. But that wasn't the only reaction she was having.

It felt like forever until Linya spoke again. "So, then, how do you actually, do it? Is it just an information transfer? Maybe a network connection?" Linya's voice grew higher as she listed all the ways that Magnus could have sex (she shuddered as she thought that word) without actually having sex.

"It's usually up to the people involved, but I have a, um, physical component." Magnus was incredibly grateful that his body didn't blush or exhibit embarrassment. Otherwise he'd be beet-red.

Linya's breath caught. She couldn't believe where her line of questioning had gotten her, and she was torn between shame, curiosity, and arousal.

"A physical component? You mean... but, I don't see..."

Magnus knew where this was going. Being honest with yourself was something you learned after living for centuries, and he decided that if this girl wanted to fuck, he'd go for it. He issued a mental command, and a hatch on his lower chassis popped up, revealing a dark recess.

    Linya leaned forward.

With one shaking hand, she reached into Magnus' body and felt a soft, squishy 'thing' inside. She was practically hyperventilating as she drew her hand out, holding a long, pink... well, it looked like a sex toy. It was transparent, and inside there seemed to be some kind of gel. The... component... also seemed to be made up of several different parts. From the way they connected, it looked like they...

    Linya gulped.

    moved.

"H-H-How d-d-does it work?" She tripped over every word, holding some stranger's genitals in her hand was not normal behavior for her. She tried to rationalize that it wasn't real, but this was a thinking, intelligent creature.

Magnus issued another mental command, and an electrical shock triggered the gel, making it shift into a semi-solid state. His component jerked free of Linya's hand and grew to a respectable size. Linya, for her part, fell flat on her ass from surprise.

However, now that it was 'erect' (she shuddered again) she could see more clearly the differentiated parts. There were circular parts, square parts, nubs, and the end was dominated by a large bulb. Linya shakily stood up and walked over to the wall, where she hit the decontamination button.

    Yeah like that, but smaller.

    >>8264024
There was a hiss, and an opaque white gas flushed the room. It was quickly ventilated, and Linya reached up and removed her face mask.

Magnus' first thought was how human she looked. Two eyes, a nose and a mouth. The color of her skin was a dark purple, though it changed around her cheeks. He assumed she was blushing, which was very true.

Linya began disassembling the rest of her suit, taking out tubes and hoses and placing them gently into a pile. Nude, she approached Magnus slowly, again appearing seductive by mistake. She took hold of Magnus' component again, stroking it gently.

Magnus' body didn't have any automatic responses to things like pleasure, so he had to consciously show that Linya was doing a good job. He clenched and unclenched his fingers and let out a mechanical sigh as the stimulation was translated into pleasure by his mind.

Linya had no experience past the magazines that she borrowed from some of her friends, so she was unsure what to do from this point on. Magnus' hand gently pushed her down, and she complied, getting on her knees, eye level with the component.

Magnus watched as Linya opened her mouth as wide a she could and took in his component. While he'd been with other morphs, the feeling of an organic was hard to beat. He could tell she had no experience, but she certainly made up for that in effort.

The component was soft enough that it could bend, and Linya had no problem working her mouth around it. She pushed until it was to her throat, then pulled back off, squeezing Magnus' softer part between her tongue and the roof of her mouth. She traced the small ridges between the various sections with her tongue, circling the nubs and flicking at ridges. Magnus' groans encouraged her, and soon she was shamelessly sucking him off.

She pushed forward again, fitting half of the thing in her mouth, when the component came alive. Slowly at first, the various nubs along the length began vibrating, and other parts began to slowly spin around the shaft. Linya's thoughts went south, and she couldn't help but imagine what this thing would feel like inside her.

Linya pulled herself off Magnus' component with a loud pop, and stood back up. Magnus took the time to examine her again. Her whole body was flushed to a dark blue and purple, her nipples were erect, and her legs were dripping with liquid. She seemed unsure of how to proceed, so he decided to make the next move.

He took her by the shoulders and turned her around, gently pushing her over the table. He positioned himself and slightly prodded Linya's entrance. After determining that she was ready for him, he pushed forward as far has he could go, and his entire component slid inside her.

Linya gripped the sides of the table as Magnus entered her. The pressure was unbelievable, and she squeezed back in retaliation to the unfamiliar feeling. That sent a wave of pleasure through her that she had never experienced on her own. She let out a low moan and left her mouth open as Magnus slowly withdrew, leaving only the bulb inside her.

Linya waited for the next push, but nothing came. She looked over her shoulder and saw Magnus standing there, waiting. He beckoned her towards him, and she got the hint. She leaned back, drawing more of her partner into her. Once she was flush against his body, she felt the component activate inside her.

Next to an airlock? There's gotta be some sort of decontamination room for people to decontaminate in after planetary visits. You don't want them tracking strange alien diseases or poisonous pollens back into the ship, after all.

The first ones Magnus turned on were the vibrating nubs that ran down the sides of the shaft. He simply held himself inside Linya and let the component do the work, and soon Linya bucked her hips and screamed as she had her first orgasm. Magnus turned off the nubs to let her catch her breath.

Linya couldn't do anything but gasp for breath. She had muffled her scream, but her whole body was shaking from the intensity of the orgasm. Slowly, she recovered and pressed herself against Magnus again. This time, the entire component turned on. Vibrating nubs, spinning plates, circling plates, the end bulb grew and shrank almost rhythmically. Every inch of her was being stimulated, but Magnus only stood still. It was up to her to do the thrusting, a task she took to with exuberance. Linya ground against Magnus' body, pulled herself forward and slammed herself back down, crying from the overwhelming sensation that was taking her. With her next orgasm, she pushed herself so tightly against Magnus' body that her skin was discolored. She held it there and rode out the pleasure.

Magnus was no longer controlling himself. The information from his body overloading his limits, electrical signals begin converted to pleasurable sensations that left him unable to do anything else but let himself be washed away in the feeling.

Finally, Magnus' mind reached a preset limit. An automated signal went out and the component deep inside Linya contracted powerfully, ejecting a large load of the thick pink gel into Linya. The gel filled her up and leaked out, trailing down her legs and pooling on the floor.

With great effort, Linya pulled herself off of Magnus, her breath hitching as she passed over the large bulb. With a barely perceptible whir, the component disappeared into Magnus, and the hatch closed shut.

Linya fell down into the chair and started giggling uncontrollably. "That... that was the best thing I've ever done. Keelah! that was amazing!"

Magnus nodded."It was incredible." Magnus' body had immediately restored his mind to a pre-sex state, but this was definitely a memory worth reviewing.

Linya held up some of the gel. "Is this safe? I mean, it's an alien substance, it could-"

"Don't worry, it's hypoallergenic by every standard we know. Council standards too. You'll be fine."

Linya licked some of the gel off her fingers. "You know, this stuff isn't half bad." She ran her hands across her body and sucked the gel off of them.

A mental trigger alerted Magnus that his presence was requested. "Well Linya, I enjoyed this very much, but now I've got to get back to work. Maybe I'll see you again."

"Maybe Magnus, maybe." Magnus left the room and headed back to the diplomat's chamber, running cleaning cycles to remove pheromones and other secretions from his body. But even though there would be no more physical evidence, he filed away the memory into his core data, ensuring that it would remain with him forever.

First we must get rid of all that unnecessary fauna, flora and the artificial lake.

    What a waste of resources!

Increasing productivity here and there we believe this can be a much better center for all races associated to transhumanity.

Of course, first we must get to the bottom of this. its unnaceptable for a race to have that much piece of hardware and not understanding how it works!

I suppose the real question in this setting is whether Sovereign would still contact the Geth looking for aid or whether he/it/they would try giving the transhumans a go. Really, the transhumans are practically Reapers already - I mean they're derived from organic life and "Deadly Sentient Starship" is a perfectly viable career choice for a respectable ego.
    >> Anonymous 02/25/10(Thu)00:02 No.8269985
Another thing to think about is whether indoctrination works on the various stripes of transhuman. Would it show up as an infowar attack and be firewalled off, would it just merrily smash on through transhuman defenses. Or would it do the good and proper Lovecraftian thing and go completely unnoticed until it's too late.

Also, would indoctrination affect a morph or the ego itself?

Indoctrination would still function and it would effect both the ego and the morph. Since the Ego backed up in the Cortical stack is updated constantly any indoctrination would be irreversible. The only thing to do would be to kill the indoctrinated and start them over from a clean back up. I think it would probably be possible to create a specialized morph that has whatever frequency Sovereign uses blocked out completely. But then you would most likely be deaf.

A worthy trade to avoid indoctrination all said.

Transhumans would be deemed too unstable to work as pawns, though they would likely be taken as indoctrinated slaves. Geth are numerous and loyal, have no real individuality and worship the Reapers. At least a large faction of them do.

Transhumans are a bunch of scheming no good backstabbers. Sovereign would never trust them to work willingly with the Reapers.

My memory of the ME codex is pretty foggy, but I recall something about indoctrination being limited to organic beings only? It seems like you could switch to a synth, or just rock out with a cyberbrain to avoid the worst of it. 'Course, Sovereign could try hacking your brain the old fashioned way - but at least that would be comfortable and familiar, good old fashioned information warfare rather than spooky mind control magic.

Well then I guess the basic Biomorphs would be indoctrinated, which means that the Hyperelite, most of the Hypercorps, the Glitterati and the Jovian Junta would be completely screwed, while the AI's from Infolife would be fine. The Uplifts are in trouble too.

Pods, Infomorphs and Synths are safe. Which strangley means most of the lower classes are going to be fine with their basic Cases and Worker pods while the people with expensive Sylphs and Olympians will end up Indoctrinated.

Indoctrination isn't subtle, other people tend notice the effects it has on the victim. Given transhumanity's experiences with the TITANS and the Exsurgence virus, I'd expect them to react rather violently once they realized what was going on.

Why wouldn't the TITANs and Reapers be the same thing? After all, the Pandora gates could be time-travel devices.

I'm thinking Sovreign with a group of Geth will show up and attack Brinker Habitats on the very far edge of the Transhuman Exclusion Zone. Kind of like the Collectors in ME2 but less subtle. Sovreign jams communications and then dropships full of kinetic shielded Geth attack with stun weapons. The cost in Geth lives is going to be huge but captured Transhumans will be worth way more than any number of Geth platforms.

Any synths and pods they find will have to be killed. But remember that Kinetic shielding will completely kick any kinetic weapon's ass. So unless the Brinkers know to use beam weapons they are going to get steamrolled.

I can see Geth weaponry as being kind of like the railguns in EP but with super high penetration due to being mass effect propelled.

I think for the sake of combining the settings I am going to say that the Extrusion Virus is just Reaper sperm. The ETI are the original generation of Reapers, while the ones like Sovereign and Harbinger are later generations. They gather up organics, or even sentient synthetics, and add the Extrusion Virus which reduces them to the component parts necessary to make Reapers.

Remember how on the Collector ship they were adding some kind of crap to the tubes then the people in them start turning into goo? Yeah. Extrusion virus.

I'm actually starting up a campaign of Eclipse Phase for the first time. I've got four players. A melee focused Mercurial Slitheroid, a hacking focused Mercurial Infomorph, A Neo Avian Reclaimist Argonaut, and a social focused Pleasure Pod.

I was thinking of having them track down the Mass Relay on Charon without telling them that was what they were doing. First of course they are going to infiltrate a Hypercorp base on Mars and find the Prothean ruin.

The force of the recoil on ME weapons is equal to force of the projectile, and the weapons carried by squishy organic troops can overwhelm the ME Kinetic Barriers. I'd expect a heavily armored synthmorph with some anti-tank weaponry to do rather well against infantry from the ME universe. Then there's the added bonus that shields don't do jack against melee attacks, and you'll have a lot of geth getting squished by larger, more solidly built opponents.

So let me get this straight. Eclipse Phase transhumans can make themselves completely sterile? Well Tali would have a field day with EP Shepard.

When you've got viruses that turn people into genocidal reality warping horrors from beyond sanity, personal hygiene becomes VERY important.

    >>8270692
Better yet, EP humans can provide Medichines for the Quarians so they won't have to be sterilized.

And if you read the description of the Reputation economies the things they value and would trade for the Medichines are Art, Music, Creativity, and

    Pleasure

Yeah that's right. If the Quarians don't have any art that the Anarchists want they can either pay out the nose to a hypercorp which will probably not want to trade due to galactic trade agreements limiting their exports. Or they can whore themselves out to an Anarchist with a nanofabber.

Renegade Shepard would gets tons of Quarian ass.

    Writefags

Hey. Do this now. I need Quarians whoring themselves out for medichines.

To be fair, it'd be less "whoring themselves out" and more "Oh, hey, you're pretty cool. Fun party last night, huh?"

We should probably try to have more Writefags show up on these threads.
Until Contagonist shows up the idea must be kept by new Original Content.

    Finally fixe'd now

"What do you want Earth Clan"

"Eh...I just noticed that your voice seems kinda familiar to me."

"What do you mean?, you are among the first Earth Clan that ever steps into the citadel, I've never heard of you until today"

"Well... you see you have a deeper voice compared to the other ones.. and, you see, back in our world"

"I see where this is going, mocking other people for birth defects is some sort of custom in you culture as well?. I already had to endure my entire life with mockery from my fellow species. I do not need another one to come and-"

"No, no its not that. I actually just wanted to record you saying something to the mic"

"You want to RECORD my voice? Why? Are you some kind of News Reporter?"

"No, I'm not a reporter. Its a ...culture thing! come on, just say something. I'll even pay you for it."

"Alright Earth Clan, you got me on my weakness, pay me and I'll even recite an entire cache of Asari poetry for you. What do you want me to say?"

"Just a phrase, read this and say it on the Recorder "

"Alright Earth Clan... Ehem... LUKE, I AM YOUR FATHER!"

    I'm kinda wondering tough.

    The Zero Mass Enginewatchamacallit.
They could greatly improve the dimensions of what you can build according to the game.... I think.

Do that means Giant Mech become feasible?

Do Giant mechs where feasible in EP to begin with?
    >> Anonymous 02/25/10(Thu)15:47 No.8276682
    >>8276466

    Feasible? Yes. Practical? No.

Giant mechs look cool, but they are too big and slow of a target for the amount of firepower they can carry. ME tech would probably just lead to everyone floating around in big armored eggs covered in guns.

I suppose so, whatever material strong enough to support such structure would be put to better use on low profile heavier armored tanks and shit.

    Giant robots seems like a dead end, like the 20th/19th century guys who thought battles where going to be fought with City cized tanks and Giant cannons capable of destroying entire cities in one shot ;_;

Since Contagonist isn't showing up, I'm going to leave and save the galaxy for the 5th time.

I really recommend not running this thing into the ground, and if possible. WAITING FOR CONTAGONIST TO SHOW UP or if you are an interesting writefag, do something related from your point of view.

I am still looking foward from a Turian perspective of the First Contact War, known as the Transhumans as the Shan'xi Relay incident (lawl)
