It went well earlier, so who wants to try it again? Create a Species Thread II.

    The rules:

    >I offer a series of possible choices or request input. Respond with one of the possible choices or your own input respectively, with "dice+1d100" in your email field. The person who rolls the highest number out of the first three responses gets selected and then I state the next phase.

So what's the setting going to be?

However, that species itself is much like a Trilobite, living in the upper atmosphere. This does not mean it flies. Yet.

In fact, we are somewhat like the Jellyfish from the original thread, who used bursts of radiation to communicate in their warring with the infrared-speaking Squid. Awesome Bioluminescence is the way to talk in this universe, it seems.

    CULTURE:

    >Hedonism (sex, wine, food, excess, etc)
    >Hunting (the killing of nonsentients)

    'sup, folks.

OP of the original here. The stuff that's gone on here is awesome, but I just have my own input.

There is absolutely zero reason to adher to how I did things in the previous thread. I didn't have a structured table of what to go through. I came up with what was needed on the spot and you should do the same. Otherwise, this is awesome. You just need to be more versatile. Don't try to jump through my footsteps, try to come up with your own shit.

Also, as a small note, when I say ecology and gas-based, I mean, they live in a gaseous atmosphere. That does not mean to say "they fly" or that they float around on a gasworld. So there's no need to add "land-based" to the equation.

So, technically, Crawling + Gaseous (High Altitude) = Mountain-dwelling trilobites

Although, crawling through air with rapid movement sounds much cooler, although that'd require some natural buoyancy.

In any case, I am perfectly fine with everything in this thread. This shit's crazy.
