Ok this one is on a bigger scale this time.
ITT: we play our own strategy game, you suggest the actions and i will make it happen, as a guide this time i have a key at the top to show the progress of the people, notice the spare room, this is because you can suggest roles or train people into different roles as the village grows, at the moment we have a very basic start.

    - Our people have migrated from a small village to the south east as it came under attack from malign forces. This small group wanted to start out on their own and have established in this fertile area.
    - to our north is a great and dark forrest
    - to our south is a deep fast flowing river

Hunter needs more herbalism experience. We could make him into an alchemist or apothecary. Let's have him set up traps and hunt for game in the forest, but also to look for herbs and flowers of interest.

Can we build a road to connect us to a trade lane/caravan route? We have a merchant, but no one to trade with. Maybe bridge the river?

Yeah, but I don't think in medieval days gods actively rampaged across the world raising undead.

With the right materials and a bit of effort, we can easily work out some basic scientific principles. Guns are probably out of reach, but the first [inefficient] models arrived fairly early, really, in the second millenium. At the very least we can build an efficient and fortified town.

If we've got the technology to refine and forge metal, we've got the technology to fix bits of wood together to make water-powered industry. Even the village of pot-smoking hippies had a windmill to grind their corn before the dark emissary torched it.

I don't think we'll be getting as far as firearms, but Roman-level engineering would be pretty awesome. Huge wooden wheels and gears and clunky stuff like that.

Okay guys, we've got a building society here. If the hunter can start looking towards weaponizing some poisons, we might be able to safely start an embassy - for sufficient growth for rapid industrialization, we need to establish trade and more importantly, immigration, which means we also need to bridge/dock that river as soon as possible - a river is bound to have other natives clinging to the banks somewhere along it. Natives we can exploit and turn into cheap labor as we advance into a golden age. Also I bet they'll know how to grow corn, and we can get some high-level farmers.

But some of the demands have been silly, this isn't WH40k, after all.

And yeah, even minor rivers might see use as trade routes. It's relatively easy to make a small craft to ford goods to and from places, as long as the river can extend to a place to exchange goods and has proper depth.
They're also much speedier and can be much less dangerous or arduous to travel by.

    These guys.

Attach windmills to everything, have power, use power to quarry stone, cut wood and build quickly. We can go industrial quickly and have a proper town damn quick.

Also, as soon as we have our construction infrastructure in place let's put it through its paces on some defensive structures, possibly with automatic ballistae crank-fed off the central power system.

Warpigs are a pretty dumb idea. Selective breeding takes many many many generations. We are much better off searching the forest with our hunters, for wild animals to capture.

Plant flowers around it, set it near the school. When the school expands, the statue could be at the center of a courtyard, joined by a small pond, and some benches, maybe a few trees. I wouldn't mind seeing this place get a public forum/plaza too. Start out small, with a big patch of hard-packed dirt, and as development progresses, improve on this. We could hold market days and fairs and shit here(or engage in public executions, torture, and slave trading if that's the way the dice roll).
