You rub your head, coming out of your reverie with the past. Dr. Okuniewicz is looking at you; you're not sure how long that reminiscence took.
"Well?" he asks. "What are you staring off into space for?"

"How nice of you. What did Arkham want with you at Blind Falls?"
Dr. O trips over his own tongue a few times. "He was talking about 13, how I bore responsibility for the Key/Gate project. He said if I had just 'figured out some way to kill it' instead of putting her in a coma and tanking the project this wouldn't have happened. But there's no reason she should ever have come out of that coma!"
"Who was i?" you press. "I mean, before?"
"You were picked up for some kind of thievery, larceny, gta, I don't remember. We did a hidden scan like we do all convicted criminals, and discovered your latent psychic talents. We had you transferred to the facility. At first you were simply trained about your gifts, before Key/Gate existed, but it seems your memories were damaged severely in the course of the project."

If we had been succesful, if we had merged a psychic human consciousness with the untold power of a cosmic entity, given a rational mind to that kind of raw ability, we could have ended every problem this planet had ever faced! With that sort of tool we could have ushered in a heaven on this planet!" He speaks fervently; clearly he was a deep believer in this project, at least at one time. While you conquered your entity completely, either through your own strength of will or the entity's weakness, you destroyed its mind, and its ability, leaving you as the damaged woman you are. 13, on the other hand, was not nearly strongly willed enough to handle contact with the entity, and her powerful psychic gift allowed it easy access. She stopped existing as Eloise Westchester less than 1/100th of a second after contact was established, and the entity gained a physical part of itself, something that nothing like that has ever possessed before, as far as we can tell."

"Sometimes, my blood produces strange writing," you ask cautiously. "What the hell is that about?"
Okuniewicz shrugs. "I couldn't tell you. Most likely some fragmentary evidence, a remnant of the entity's unfathomable mind that managed a way to express itself. Most interesting, I hadn't though-"
"Wait. Fucking wait just a second. Did you say Eloise was already possessed by the time you got ahold of her?"
    "Yes, that's right," he stammers.
"I found one of your hedrons," you say, staring at him intensely. "I found one in the basement of her house."
Okuniewicz digests this for a moment. "No...that couldn't possibly be...we control all three known hedron stones. So either someone was in possession of another stone, and knew what it could be used for,"
"Or one of you fucks did it," you finish his sentence for him, looking around at the dark, gathering clouds overhead.

If we make a team to set things right, lets hit Subject 33 and the Old Man in the NY asylum. They seem to be the most peaceful of all the others.

I have to recharge my creative juices, you guys wrung most of my prepared exposition out of my tonight.
I still have a few secrets in reserve though.

I originally conceived of the hallucination entity as a constantly-shifting figure, but now I'm not sure I could ever have him be anything but Spider-Lebron.

Spider Lebron is an UE. I would add Garfield as an addendum to 82's file though.

Oh man, Garfield. I went into tonight thinking "big reveal: Garfield is imaginary. Gonna blow these niggas' MINDS!" but as I kept going i became less and less sure of myself, so I left it completely open.

The best way not to give away whether or not he's only in your head is to not actually be sure myself.

    New Unknown Entities

Spider Lebron- Hallucination/ Spirit guide of Subject 82. Has the Personality of Lebron James, and the Eight Legs of a Spider.
Garfield- Cosmic Entity bonded to Subject 82's blood and gives her her sanguinary powers. Gains nourishment from flesh, living or dead, and is hungry about once per 24 hours. Is lazy and cowardly, but is often the voice of reason for Subject 82.

I don't know, man, you guys have got 82 alternating between being badass when necessary and downright tender at times (okay, some of those times I helped).

For that matter, you guys are an awesome bunch of people to quest with. You're really making me enjoy this, and I hope I'm giving back as much as I'm getting.

Well, she IS a slightly crazy person with little memory of her life before all this shit.
I see 82 as mostly good natured, but with a short temper, and a complete willingness to get dirty if the situation calls for it, especially, it seems, when other Subjects are fucking up things for the normals.

RIse of Evil is a song about Hitler taking power and rising the Reich so to speak.

Im implying that StonerDM because of his awesomeness and stoner powers was able to manipulate my media player to start that song as soon as I saw the first mention of the Thule character

Added Babbage, 16's posse, updated 16, 33, 50, MTD, fixed some typos.
Some time tomorrow I'll begin a list of key locations.
I also have the three Subjects we made up yesterday if anyone cares.

also, Epic quality quest. Been enjoying this, though until now I was never on before it hit archive.

Jacob Walters Really deserves to make it out of this along with his kid. In fact, it might be a good idea to set up the new scientist with Jacob for security. Dr. Okuniewicz meant well, but the (bloody) road to hell is paved with good intentions...

Proposed Subjects- Note; these subjects do not necessarily exist, they are suggestions to the Stonerbro.

47- Ahmed Hassan- Electrical powers; Fistful'A Loightnan
76- John Wilhelm, 'Snake man', can generate and spray short bursts of acid from his hands or mouth. Has those funky snake eyes, fangs and a tiny bit of scales.
113- A sentient E. Coli bacterium. Has a doctorate in European literature.

Also, glad people like what I'm doing.

Now, this may just be me, but aren't we being a little crazy? I mean, we're aflame with righteous anger at the people that blood'ed us and we're very good at being scary, but wouldn't it be more strategically sound to be nice and play ball with the nice ranking officer of the big, well connected/armed group that we want to get in good with?

He doesn't recieve forgiveness though. Just the benefit of the doubt. Besides, it looks like we already got revenge with McCallister.

Why do I namefag? Because its easier when taking stock of decisions or voting. And I'm used to it.

    Powers to think of:
Telepathy (Talking to your mind OMG)
    Empath (Emotion control/sensing)
    Freezing/Ice
Water Control (Think waterbending, since we have the equivalent of "super hot blood control")
Speedster (Able to go really really fast)
    Gravity Control (Speaks for itself)
Mass Control (One can increase/decrease their mass (and therefore density) at will)
