We don't know where they came from or how they came to be or even how they are capable of doing the things they do.

    The Sues.

They're impossible. They can do impossible things. They look fucking retarded and typically are retarded. But the fact that he dresses like some kinda BDSM fetish star doesn't make the big sharp thing he's swinging around any less deadly. Or whatever they use to kill you.

When they first popped up people thought it was just some kids being crazy. Then folk thought it was due to drugs. By the time anyone realised what was happening, it was too late. They'd become too numerous. Some targeted government, others specific regions and others religions or racial groups. The worst of them formed their own micronations through some kind of fucking mind control. Seriously mind control. Some of them if you get too close to them then you'll suddenly start likin 'em, spend too long round them and it'll go to outright adoration. Probly better to die than live as one of their slaves.

What little survived the initial war between us and them was quickly ravaged by the wars between them as they started competing for territory, resources, power or just for the sake of fighting.

The surviving free humans initially tried retreating to old military shelters but the Sues quickly started finding those sites leading to the survivors looking for more obscure places. Mines became the new home of humanity, we hid underground surrounded by long dead mining equipment trying to scrape together an existence and find a way to take back our world.

You get the odd wanderer who wanders around looking for settlements and things to scavenge, can be hard to tell them from some kinds of Sue though. Each of the hideouts is very paranoid about this sorta thing, if one gets inside then that's it everyone dies.

These wanderers have a rough time of it seeing as they're more likely to run into Sues.

If they're lucky it's one of the tardchildren. Bizarre creatures that are a mix of human and animal. Tardchildren differ from the other furry Sues in that they're more animal than man. Imagine a human mind in an animals body and you have the basic idea. Because of this they can't take care of themselves so you'll smell them long before you see them, covered in shit and soaked in piss. Usually wailing about something or caught on some piece of rubble.

Still dangerous too. Usually have a nasty set of claws or some kinda super power they barely have a handle on.

Next up on the danger scale is the crippled Sues.
Those things are like regular Sues but they have some horrific crippling ailment, tends to slow em down just enough. They're not quite as lethal but you still gotta expect them to do the impossible, often with crazy superpowers that make up for the crippling.

Lot of them tend to be loners meanin you'll find them hiding out in some ruin or camp they've set up. Some aren't overtly hostile while others will go for anything on sight. Best tactic? Avoid them.

My brother left the camp yesterday to try and find some fresh water... I saw him get blasted by some beam from the sky... A pink haired girl in a goth lolita dress raised her wand into the sky and.. Boom.. All that's left of him is a smouldering crater. Damnit Phil..

After that you have the renegade Sues. They're wanderers who roam about on their own or in small groups. They tend to be the ones most grounded in reality which can make em hard to spot, best trick is to look for things that don't fit. Say a weapon that doesn't fit into the area. So say an Armalite outside the USA or very obscure guns like a Vintorez or a gun that's popular in movies and such. Those tend to be a surefire way to spot a Sue.

Problem with this kind of Sue is they're the hardest to ID positively. Cos of them most travellers and settlements are obscenely paranoid. They're not certain to kill you but there's a good chance they will and you never want to get in a fight with em as they'll pull some insane stunt.

After that we're getting in real Sue territory. Not sure why they're called Sues. Someone started callin em that a while back and it stuck.

They come in all shapes and sizes. Defining traits of em? Odd racial mixes, odd hair colours (bright colours that ain't natural), unnatural eye colours, magic out the fucking wazoo, bizarre styles of dress (if they're not wearing scavved cold weather gear then chances are they're a Sue) and bizarre weapons like scythes and shit. They fuckin love using old hand to hand weapons. The more obscure or bizarre the better.

The common Sue are incredibly dangerous things. You don't want to tangle with them without a very well thought out and solid plan tailored specifically for them. Fortunately they know nothing of subtlety so you can often see them a mile off as a result of the amount of noise they're making or destruction they're wreaking.

Most of them tend to either walk around on their own or join one of the "Sue nations" and live there.

Above these "normal" Sues we have what folks call the Arch-Sues. The top of the Sue ladder so to speak.

These things are insanely powerful. We are talking fuck reality powerful. They're also the ones who have drawn massive amounts of human followers thanks to that mind control field. They even draw Sue followers.

They are the most bizarre things in the world. Almost always some kind of human/animal hybrid with bizarre colourings and magical shit or impossible tech.
You'll never meet one fortunately and if you do, you'll be too busy loving the thing to do anything else. One nearby? Just shoot yourself. Best way to go.

The Arch Sues though lead us into the next topic quite nicely.

These Arch-Sues have all formed nations. Fucking nations.
Ok the majority of the population is human but they all serve the Arch-Sue and its Sue minions. The places are fucking playgrounds for their kind.
That ain't the worst of it mind, oh yes it can get worse.

These Sue nations go to war with each other constantly. I do mean constantly. They're never at peace. Usually it's the Sues doing the fighting as humans never last long on their battlefields but you'll still see a bunch of sacrificial chumps being thrown in. You can see their fights for miles and I do mean miles. Make nukes look smalltime.
Let me tell you, you ain't seen nothin till you've seen a Sue battle. Two opposing armies of Sues duking it out over some stupid piece of crap, unleashing enough force to destroy the world several times over and it barely scratches them. When they do get injured it always leads to some bizarre drama scene where they all stop fighting. They never actually die mind. Seems to be they just keep going till one is injured then both sides fuck off home.
Can you imagine anything more monstrous than that? Fighting just for the sake of it?

Really their territory only changes when an Arch-Sue lures more Sues to his side leading to his massively outnumbering the others where they'll beat them senseless then they'll suddenly become bestest buds while the defeated Arch-Sue flees to start anew.

Fucking terrifying stuff. Don't ever go near a Sue Nation, you'll regret it is putting it lightly. Wanderers avoid the places like a pox and you'd be wise to do the same.

I went to one once. Real messed up place. Didn't stay long mind, not that stupid. Bunch of furry animal Sues were having an orgy in the street with a bunch of human men. Fucking disgusting. Nobody even seemed to care when one with a penis the size of a fucking bus tore some poor bastard in half.

Sue Nations are really the only places left with maintained buildings or new buildings. The only remaining permanent settlements as we used to understand them. Paved roads, sewage, power, the works.

Not like the Free Towns. Almost all of them are built into mines deep underground using artificial lighting, with questionable sewage systems, sporadic power on anything that isn't 100% essential to breathing and seeing oh and don't forget that clean water is often hard to get too unless the town is sat on a water supply.

Inside each mine is a fucking shanty town with hundreds if not thousands living in cramped conditions working to make sure they're still alive tomorrow or making things to trade to other settlements. Guns are popular as always along with survival gear. Hydroponic farming really took off once a few hippies taught everyone how to do it. Still not much protein in peoples diets. Meat is a real rarity on the dinner plate that most folk do without. You know how with vegans and vegetarians if they start eating meat after years of not eating it, their body's poison reflex will kick in causin them to puke it all up? Yeah you gotta lot of folk who would be in that situation if they ever did get any meat. Hell whole generation of kids now most of whom have never once eaten meat. Kinda depressin to look at a lot of the wirey little bastards. They're tough and stronger than they look but still there's nowt to em.

Nah chief. There ain't no human nations anymore. USA fell first and the last to fall was North Korea. Net was still workin back then so we all watched it as some guy from South Korea streamed the Sue invasion of North Korea.

Kim Jong Il was a crazy half dead old bastard in a wheelchair with an IV and oxygen hooked up to him and he was shooting the fuckers from the steps of his palace with an AK during the last stand. I mean fuck me that's a hell of a way to go. Still dead mind.

The Free Towns are all well away from Sue territory. Lot of them seem to prefer to live in the North American continent for some reason. Nobody really knows why but it's the biggest concentration of Sue nations in the world. Everywhere else is a bit calmer but there's always a few Sue nations fighting everywhere. Even Australia.

Most folk outside scavvers tend to avoid the old cities. Most of them have a lot of wanderin Sues livin there. They also tend to be crawling with tardchildren, packs of em sometimes. But you'll still find folk living in the underground rail systems in the big cities that had em. Hell the London Underground has almost a thousand people in it these days. Course they had to seal most of the stations keeping only a handful of ones that you've gotta be in the know to know about.

Settlement locations are the big secret. Only ones in each settlement who know where the others are is people who have been to them. Barely anyone keeps a map anymore or if they do it's well hidden, often in a place where it'll be destroyed if it's not taken out properly. Many wanderers will effectively encrypt their maps meaning if you don't know their system then you'll just go to the wrong place each time.

The locations of Free Towns is of the utmost secrecy. Everyone knows that each town we loose is a blow the human race will never recover from. Which is surprising really. Used to be humanity was always out to kill its own but now for the first time (outside of the Sue dominated ones) we're all buds. When I was a kid I would never have expected a yank and an Arab to be prepared to stay in the same room let alone like each other.

Language has changed too. Most Sues speak English and Japanese while others will speak almost every language there is including a few dead ones.

Now everyone speaks Spaz. It's what you get when you shoehorn every other language into English then rape the result.
Kinda sad really. When my generation finally kicks the bucket there won't be any native English speakers left outside the Sue nations.

Honestly I never expected /tg/ to like it. Whenever I write a setting it always comes from one little thing. In this case it was the tardchildren. I thought "Those mary sue animal things could never even clean themselves...they'd be like mangy rabid animals roaming around in packs" then I thought "what if they were real?" then that led inevitably to Suepocalypse

This planet is ended. It amuses me how in an effort to seperate themselves from these Sue creatures, you humans have made yourselves weak. You are not worth the honour of even being the meatshields that swarm before our armies!

Nothing can kill a Sue. That's why it's grimdark.

    >Finding the root of the Sue menace.
No one knows where the Sues came from. If people did, it wouldn't be as grimdark.

    >Survive
What for? The world is a grimdark hell hole, and it is grim and dark, because it's grimdark.

Well then what's the point? Unless this is simply a theoretical exercise and not a setting to be played in, there needs to be some sort of end-goal, however unlikely or far away it may be. Simple survival won't hold the interest of most players.

Tardchildren are easily killed in comparison to others. But bigger more powerful ones need very very good planning to catch them by surprise and kill them. Often with difficult to get hold of gear.

A very brief strike witches fan fiction about a character from the setting who is theoretically immortal.

It told how the human race had completely wiped itself out and all that was left was her. Immortal, never changing and still pining for a girl who grew old, married a man and died millennia ago without ever once returning the immortal girls feelings.
Every night she cried herself to sleep because of it. She didn't even care that humanity had wiped itself out, she just lived on her little farm and took care of her own needs. Probably hadn't even noticed the world had ended. She was just too depressed that girl all those millennia ago had never once returned her love.

I knew a guy, once. Called himself Jorgen. Nice guy, met him in one of the bunkers down South.

He used to be Special Forces, Zimbabwe, Moscow, shit like that. He said he was around when the Sues first started appearing, and I was inclined to believe him. He had a nice military coat with all kinds of badges and shit on it.

So one day me an Jorgen goes out a ways to forage. Nice pile of junk a few clicks up the road, I'd been there before. We're doing our thing and Jorgen just stops cold. Doesn't move a fucking muscle. He waves over at me to get down, so I do, and then this little cat thing flies over us. It was riding a god-damn bicycle and it had a mini-gun strapped to its back.

So Jorgen baits it, see? Throws a rock at it and runs like fucking hell. Cat thing opens up with the minigun and chases Jorgen into the forest. I never saw him again.

Three months later we get reports from another bunker up the road about a Sue they've never seen before. Said it was a man dressed in military clothing with a minigun.

I try not to think about it.

The weakest ones die easy compared to the big ones. And they don't come back. To kill a big one for good. You gotta make it an anti-climax. Like a shot from a mile away or a landmine, but the mine will probably break or the shot will miss. I remember stalking one of the normal sues for a month with a of my old squad. We stalked it for days. And when we took the shot. It missed, just left a nice little scrape on the side of her head. Next thing I knew, my friend's eyes were torn out of his head. No idea how. Loco Tom always claimed these stories about killin sues, he was a very religious man, wore a cross on each wrist, ankle had several tattooed everyfucking where, wore a rather large wooden one around his neck, he claimed that when they died if they were around a cross that most of em lit up like christmas trees and went bang, I was a cop before they came. I shot a few of em, knocked em down but sure as hell not out. Escaped into the forest before they got me.

Up here in the "Water God's Glove" we've managed to survive by using riddles and code for locations and such.

From experience, it seems that in groups, they are easier to kill. There needs to be one dominant personality for the effect to work. The "effect" being the strength, speed, comprehension abilities. When they are together it makes them more sluggish. I'm probably wrong, but I think that the power comes from their fantasy. They think they are really strong, they are, etc etc. If there are too many together, they get confused and think they may not be the best. But as you thin down the group, the survivors realize they must be better than the other, and by then they know where you are.

I think we need to make an archive of the arch-sues. I've never seen one personally, but a video or two of this one.

No clue what his name is. Small white haired boy. Unassuming, looks like the run of the mill sue. But you see, he just reflects everything, rejects it. You could nuke this kid, and he would be no worse for wear. I think the last sighting was at the fall of Russia, he was among the hordes that took St. Petersburg.

    Day 9
    Recon unit 5

We've been tracking this fucker for days through the ruins of Berlin. With his abilities he's been literally warping the area around him to his liking... I hoped to never see the day when the last of the Berlin wall came down, One of the greatest symbols in this city just destroyed by some sort of psionic blast.

We've been watching him for a few days now from an apartment building a couple of blocks away. The entire time he's been raising some sort of fortress from the ground around him, probably some sort of station from which to control a new euro-sue nation. We would've thought he was creating this shit out of nothing if Arnold hadn't noticed that the buildings around the square were thinning.

At the current rate the buildings are being atomized we have three more days until we'll need to move again.

This could cause major problems for the citizens living in the rail systems, by God I hope he doesn't know that we're here. What if he tries to raise a new nation directly above our heads?

    Do we have any orders?

The guy pulled out some sort of phaser and cooked the goddamn thing! I thought he were a sue himself, till I saw him gob chewing tobacco and walk over to take a piss afterwards.

He gave me a message to give to all of you "The PPC is fighting back, the sues have been beaten before and will be beaten again. Use the stories of old, the canon shall protect you"

    Recon unit 5

We relayed the plan just as you gave them and reluctantly Recon 4 agreed... poor bastards.

They walked out to talk the sue just as you said. At first he appeared confused and called out to them. When they got within 10 meters of the sue we instantly noticed the sparkle effect take hold. Our sniper put a round into the back of the sues skull.

It was a powerful one, the ground beneath it literally tore open upon death, I'm sure you guys felt it.

While that was frightening in itself the thing that truly chilled our bones was how Recon 4 reacted. Upon its death they immediately removed their knives and began cutting themselves, they are dead now. We will be burning their bodies as ordered.

At least we know a bullet can drop a distracted, tired sue. Maybe what we learn from the body can help other groups like ours. Expect it to be delivered by midnight.

I've been in orbit for nearly six months now. Escaped a facility in Nevada when they overran it. You know I trained for ten years to fly the shuttles, and some ten year old asshole hijacks it and leaves us stranded up here. Bastard just appeared on the station.

We managed to lock him out from the primary systems, but he got into the shuttle before we could jettison him.

We've been pretty lucky. Started out with only two weeks of food and no ship. But there're other stations. We abandoned Q-Lab 23, salvaged everything we could. Made the jump to the ISS when our orbits overlapped. Man were those ruskies happy to see us.

Of course, they locked us out. Had their own sue problem, some guy pretending to be superman that kept hanging out. If they ignored him, he'd lose interest, go away. But once we convinced them we weren't sues, they let us aboard. Managed to fix their radiator, and add to their meager hydroponics bays.

Raided the Jap station next. The ISS has some dinky intra-orbit shuttle for retrieving satellites. Three of us crammed aboard and jetted over. Place was abandoned- one astronaut dead, the other missing. But there was plenty of food. Suspect the guy had figured it was the perfect hidy hole.

Regardless, I've got to log off. There's a light heading this way. Looks like a shuttle, but I can't be sure.

Some of those fucking tardchildren sparkle. I swear to god, they produce wierd-ass colors to throw off your aim. I was out and about looking for resources topside when I smelled something musty and putrid over a nearby hill. Sure enough, ten of the fucks, running on all fours and howling at me to "yiff". Their fur was matted and stained, but I could see a rainbow coloration on each horrid wretch. Filthy, musty wolf-things.

    Then the sparkling began.

They shook themselves like dogs drying off and a damn rainbow of glowing sparks flew off of them. All I had on me then was a 10mm snubnose and a Mossberg, so I just hauled off on the tardlings with one slug after another. Down five of them went, their heads splattered. The biggest one - I guess their leader - took a round to the shoulder; those sparkles fucked with my vision. He opened his mouth and bellowed something like "yiff my yaff". Then a goddamned ball of sparkles flew out of his ass! It didn't do shit to me, so I just took the thing's head off and the rest fled.

Thank god I come from a scientific community. Our aquaponics need biologists, so I picked up a fair bit about collecting samples. Turns out those sparkles are dander coated in bioluminsecent bacteria. The "sparkledogs" are still running around acting stupid, but every once in a while I'll hear a story about how they stick guys to the ground by vomiting sparkles onto them...

    Basepoint: Husky Hill reporting in.

We've had two major developments. First, a band of grim dwarves came through, saving a patrol from several elf-fag Sues. They grumbled something about their quest for a holesale slaughter of elves before moving on.

Second, we were found out. Our point was almost taken, when a hail of arrows and grittiness struck Sue forces from behind. When the dust cleared, there were about two hundred odd men, wearing dark armor. Their banner was attached to a lance that may or may not have been the petrified penis of some evil god, and their leader carried about five backpacks of books.
It took a moment to sink in, but we realized that the Black Company had arrived.

We have regrouped and consolidated our forces. The Company commander, a middle aged man called Cutter, said something about being a sucker for hopeless causes, before agreeing to help us.

    Requesting further orders.

You are not to make direct contact with any other humans as you may have been contaminated. If the sue requests to know where you are from commit suicide, his powers may overtake you during the questioning and you may be compelled to reveal our location to him.

Once the attacks stop try to leave this cutter, if he refuses to depart from you commit suicide so as not to risk revealing our position. If he does allow you to part from him immediately proceed to designated outpost B for examination.

-an anyone read me? I repeat, can anyone hear this broadcast?

Shit wasn't a shuttle. Well, it was. But then it wasn't. Looked like a shuttle, gave us codes like a shuttle, maneuvered to dock like a shuttle.

But I was on observation duty, kept an eye on it. Windows were dark, got a look inside. Pristine. One guy, no suit, smiled at me. And then distorted, like an old television broadcast. Some sort of goddamn transformer.

Never in my life was I so glad for the Canadians. About a month ago one of stations passed our orbit, and the damn fuckers managed to align with us, docked their entire station (well, if you can call two hab modules and a cargo bay a station). We took a bit of a hit, and the engineers were worried about our orbit degrading, but we managed to keep it stable.

But that shuttle. We took both Canada Arms to it. Only way to deal with Suetech- by proxy- but it was still close. Corruption in the mainframe. We were lucky, the fucking transformer was out of fuel. Used the arms to push off him, stabilizing our orbit and sending the bastard down to burn.

Not much to do now but wait for the defrag to finish. Virus scan turned up nothing, but I can't be sure.

What do you mean 'What's Suetech?'- where've you been hiding. The sues, they don't just have real if obscure gear- they've got the most fucking unreal shit you've ever seen. Those goddamn multiweapon things. Gunswords, chainsaw whips, you name it. Stuff'll kill you if you don't know how to handle it.

Yeah, that's right. You can handle it. Whatever corruption the Sues exhibit doesnt' seem to pass down to their tech, at least not the smaller stuff. Gotta be careful with Suetech Transformers, but the other shit? It'll kill you if you look at it funny. Sues don't need not a minute to use it perfectly- but you and I, we're different.

Took Raulings about three months to figure out how to make the plasma pistol we grabbed off of Captain Gunz!!1!, bitch-ass sue the Canadians had captured. Kept him around because the bastard seemed to have an unlimited supply of weirdass guns.

Still had to put him down. Poison. Bastard didn't even see it coming- or maybe he did. Got all these weirdass guns now. Filtered em, screened em, studied em. Raulings is the only one that can make the pistol work. Point, shoot, bluey bolt of flying death.

Of course, it's not much use up here, but Daniels tells me that they've been tracking a Suetech 'star trek ship'. One of them damn boxy shuttles, just drifting. Back door's open, no airlock. Couple floating bodies- look like thralls. Sues don't see the world like we do- they see adoring fans who fit perfectly into their worldview. I see a pair of starved children, fear etched in their eyes.

No sign of the Sue, but April want's to ask our monthly visitor. He's got a name now, Captain Tomorrow. Fairly grounded for a sue- at times I think he even knows what he is. We keep our distance, and everything's filtered. No live communication, but he's good for info.

I'll get back to you if that shuttle turns viable, and if we get any useful information from CT.

The results were horrific from just an observational point of view as the organism just tortured its victim physically and from what I could tell through the soundproof glass it was insulting it.

The creature is sealed for now as I fear were it to be unleashed its power would be destructive in nature. The files indicate the creature had a name but I cannot seem to find that in the files only the words, /b/ and 4chan.

Captain Tomorrow says that the bastard with the shuttle was one "Super Bestest Captain John Spangle, of Storefleet!"- and yes, that's the spelling he used. Some fifty year old captain Sue, but acted like a thirteen year old. Died last year after abandoning his shuttle to go on a spacewalk and forgetting where he parked it. Bastard evidently forgot there's no air- no sound- in space. Couldn't call it back. Suffocated.

We're going over the shuttle now. If we can figure it out, maybe we can hit up planetside. Maybe we'll see you there.

I can't say much more, but telescopes have picked up a mass. We think it's a comet, coming this way. The question is- is it worth attempting to divert or not?

Extinction event? Maybe. but it could also be a Sue. We just don't have enough data. Either way might make things worse.

Wasn't always that way. I'd know. You wouldn't believe me if I told you the details. Sometimes I wonder if it was real myself. But it was good.

Then the leakage started. A sue-device here, a "repentant" Sue there. It was very quick, really.

I took what I could and ran. Wish I could've said the same about my partner. She didn't go down until after I emptied three clips into her skull.

Teaching me to shoot was the kindest thing she ever did for me.

I think I travelled with one for a while between abandons, he seemed rather low key for a Sue. I didn't even have a clue he might have been until he changed into some sort of bug creature and fought off a pack of oh god I don't even know what they were save some kind of animal creatures. I managed to get away in the scuffle though, even found one of his spare belts in my bag though it's a funny looking thing.

Toenail reporting back in. A patrol ran into a crippled Sue. Ugly fucker, it was about as unbalanced as a lobster for its upper and lower body. The damn thing tried hit part of the patrol with some beam that...well, three men got vaporized, and a fourth had to be put down when he started talking about how "misunderstood and huggable" the Sue was.
But we may have found a way to combat them.
From the AAR, the surviving members of the patrol started insulting the Sue, saying how ugly it was, how noone liked it, and how it should just go get a rope and hang itself.

    It listened to them.

It left in tears, forcing the euthanization of yet another member of the patrol squad, but on their way back in the surviving members swore they saw the damned thing swinging from a tree. Can this get applied to higher-level Sues?

I don't like the idea of using Gordon freeman as a character to defeat the sues especially since gordon is a gigantic sue himself.

I would prefer using small military operations to eliminate sues and even then it wouldn't be arch sues (they are far too powerful to defeat.)

We should focus more on the survival of the human race instead of turning this into another HFY setting led by gordon freeman. Perhaps the human race will win in the end or not but that isn't what we should focus on. We should focus on survival.

What that actually means, is it will most likely work. But at what cost? That's a Sue-level deployment we're talking.

Wasn't the 4chan originally split into multiple parts? Use a less-potent portion, not the one that will turn us into the monsters we seek to destroy.

While most sues are suicidal (especially the anthropomorphic human or animal combination variants) many are still immune to this kind of assualt.

This kind of assault would only work on those sues with suicidal tendencies and self-esteem issues. Consider any superhero-class entities immune.

People of Earth. I am making this broadcast on a live channel from the Space Station QX-33. You all need to hear this. Even as I transmit this, the Sues are on their way. Those that can reach orbit, those that have ships, they're coming. All the lights on the radar are Sues.

But they're not the reason why I've come out into the open.

You see, we found it. We found the cure.

Captain Tomorrow was a sue's version of Superman. Super powers like you wouldn't believe. Nice guy, limited on the corruption... for a Sue. Our group has been communicating on and off- always by proxy and through layers of protection- with him for the past year. He shows up, not to fight, not to convert not even to 'save us'- just to talk. The mind of a Sue is not a pretty place.

April, our Psych specialist had an idea. An idea we decided to risk it all on. We met him, here on QX-33, in person. Each of us volunteered for this mission, expecting not to come back. Whether death or thralldom awaited.

But we have it. We put it in his tea. He drank it down and... changed.

Says his name is Johnathan Marshal. Sixteen years old.

Now, you and I got this straight- he's a grown man. Looks forty. Says he's sixteen years old, want's to know where his mum and dad are. Keeps asking me if it was a dream. "it was all a dream, right? Just a dream? I didn't... I didn't do all that, right?"

I can't look him in the eye.

Ritalin. John says he's got ADHD, and some other thing. Tourettes or Assburgers or some shit like that. Says he used to take the drug every day, but one day he stopped. Decided he didn't need it. One day turned into a year turned into five years. Something snapped, and one day he stopped seeing the universe, and started seeing something else.

He's still got his 'powers'- we tested him. They're muted on the drug- bullets leave bruises, rather than just bouncing off, but they're there. Our supply of ritalin is limited, I don't know if the infection will assert itself when he reverts. I pray to all the gods that it doesn't.

We had to get the message out. You have to know. Ritalin. Prozack. Anti-psychotics. Sues aren't a thing, they're a side effect. Beneath them are real people. Mad people. Twisted and crying people.

Spread the word. Maybe you can save the world. But I can see them now, coming. Flying through space like they ain't got no care.

It's good to hear that there are still free humans out there. I have to tell this story. I sometimes go outside and scavenge for useful tech.

Anyway I was exploring through what was once probably a small town. Then I hear the sounds of explosions and see some lightshows- signs of a Sue battle. Putting the earmuffs on (Some sues can turn ya with the sound of their own voice. Harsh lesson we learned), I go to check it out at a distance. A bunch of the sues had this guy surrounded. I was going to say a final prayer for the guy but then I saw the sues' faces.

They looked annoyed and surprisingly bewildered. None of their attacks seem to do anything to the guy and he didn't seem to be paying attention to them at all.

Too interested in his whatever he was eating. Also he had a bong with him (though I don't know what he found to use in it,)

Notes from the northwestern memetics and propaganda research team (well, what remains of us):

1: Ahh, dammit. We lost Station 6. Poor bastards were testing whether utilizing propaganda techniques on basic science and ethics education could offset some of the more extreme Sue behaviors - it might've even worked, assuming the Sues were A. as literate as S6 expected (and needed) them to be, and B. didn't apparently see this as a threat.

I don't think anything'll be growing there for a while.

2: We're having a hard time finding volunteers for the next project. Station 6 (mercy on their souls) did have some promising results, initially - sycophant population counts actually dipped during the initial three-month run, according to intel.

The idea would be to infiltrate Sue-controlled zones with memetic carriers and use every damn PsychOps trick in the book to dampen their influence. Spiking the local water supply with a cocktail of tranquilizers and Ritalin was also proposed - rejected on basis that we don't yet know how much besides "enough to choke a troll" is enough, and the last thing we want is them to develop tolerance to the stuff.

Of course, that assumes we can find anybody crazy enough to risk infiltrating a Sue zone in the first place. Bit of a Catch-22 there - we usually /shoot/ anybody that fits that psych profile, soon as they're asleep and

3: Terry's making cracks about making our own Manchurian Candidate all day. Not so fucking funny when I'm the one that drew the short straw, so to speak.

    Fuck you, Terry.

    Just... fuck.

If there aren't any further entries, it'll be because this first iteration of Project Shaw fell flat on its face, and I took my recommended dose of Vitamin Cyanide.

Jansen had one pinned down. She had this little teardrop/sun tattoo on her cheek. He pushed her face into the mud, defiled her, did unspeakable things to her. Then we shot her.

Week later we thought it was all good. I went out to get a DZ for supplies. When I came back... fucking Christ... it was horrible.

They was all inside out. Everyone at the base. Hanging. On the wall was this little teardrop/sun symbol.

Bringing them down only builds them up. Makes them stronger. Gives them more of that juice that they run on.

Make the kill fucking fast. Don't fuck with them. Jesus Christ just don't fuck with them.

“There ain't no reason to be pointing that at me, soldier. I ain't one of 'em. I'm human; flesh, blood, an' soul. Don't let the katana fool you. That's my pride and joy, a trophy off one of tha Sues.
You look like you don't believe me. A'rright then, let me tell you a tale. If you feel like, you can stop pointing that pea-shooter at me when ya please.

Ever hear of the Katana Kid? 'Spose you wouldn't, it bein' years ago and miles away. Apparently, he was a minor Sue, barely broke the laws 'o physics. No fashion sense though; never took that piece of shit trench coat off, even in tha summer of '34.
Now that summer, he broke off from tha main Sue fortress in Europe. He wanted some recognition, but he was one 'o the low basterds on tha totem pole. So what's he do? He puts on ANOTHER trench coat and storms of inna' huff.

Updating from an abandoned hosptial outside of sue territory. This place is untouched, located in Land of Cheese sector 6. Anyone still breathing in Land of Cheese sector six; medical supplies, cots, generator fuel, it's here.

Fuck, who am I kidding? Nobody's out there or this shit'd be gone by now. I shouldn't be breathin' either; if I'm the only blip you get out of this sector, you'd better mark it a dead zone.

I should have been one of the first to fall; dammit I was on the front lines when the first war broke out and we still didn't know what this was, ended up splattered with all kinds of blood, my blood, human blood, fucking nasty cyan sue blood. I must be infected. Is this shit an infection? A conventional disease with human to human transmission? Does anyone fucking know what this cancer is?

I've survived alone, actively avoiding the other survivors I've seen lest I infect another, living off canned pork'n'beans, MREs, mixing any sufficiently clear water I find with iodine tablets, kool-aid to cover the taste when I can find it.

The sues ignore me; one of those damned sparkledogs walked into me and bumped off like a fucking roomba, fucking empty glittery eyes staring unfocused at the horizon. I'd imagine they seek uninfected humans; I must be infected to garner such indifference.

But then, how haven't I given into the faggotry if I'm carrying live infection? Not once have I considered going after refugees, I never even tried to go back home when I got up, I knew it must be too late. Never came up with some faggoty name for myself, either. I've never seen a mirror, beard's gettin' long but I've had no chance to check for any of the other visual signs. I can tell for sure I've cleaned too many times to be carrying the flowery fucking stink of sue-blood- it's not that. What am I? What have I become?

Now me, I'm from a small mine in what used ta be Germany. I'd lived above ground for 24 years 'o my life before we were forced under. In the Spring 'o '33, I'd gotten so damned sick of not seein' the sun that I got a group together. We was gonna live above ground!
Don't look so supprised. Plenty 'o people live above, you jus' gotta know when ta hide, and when ta lie. See, Sues are stupid. They got all that brawn, so they don't use their brains so much. I figured that whenever a Sue found us, we'd up and tell them that we were tendin' to the cabin for our Sue master, a big powerful Sue, one they wouldn't want ta mess with.
The best part? It worked. Tons 'o times, in fact. The first time I had ta stare one down, I damn near pissed myself, but she turned an' went on her way. We lived above the surface for a year, eatin' meat and seein' light!

But, uh, I wouldn't have that sword if we lived happily ever after. The Katana Kid came round in '34. I was comin' back from huntin with Riley, and we find the cabin cut right in half, down the middle. I don't find any bodies, and we hadn't been gone but 30 minutes. He figures they'd been captured, found out. We had a stash 'o weapons for emergencies, so us two gear up and follow the trail of shit that'd been cut in half.
We catch up quick enough. There they are, the other five of our group, and this short kid, maybe 14, wearing two trench coats and carryin' that katana you see there. Riley and me, we both line up nice shots on tha back 'o his noggin, both 'o us handy with those old AKs. We both start shootin' and wouldn't you know we both miss our bursts.
    >> Anonymous 01/31/11(Mon)02:02 No.13726443
    >>13726427

Then the kid turn around, and starts deflectin' bullets with his sword. Both 'o us keep unloadin' ammo at him, and even the ones he don't hit just pass right on by, puttin' holes in his coats.
Both 'o our guns run dry and while we're reloadin', taking four, five seconds tops, he runs right up and runs Riley through. He looked, looked like he wanted to scream, but he jus' hung there limply, not makin' a sound. I blinked and the next thing I know, he's got is Smith-n-Wesson out and taking shots at the kid's face, not doin' a thing. Riley's screamin' at me ta get the others an' run, and that's exactly what I go ta do.
I don't get more than half way before I hear Riley get silenced, and I turn around an' start shootin at the little shit. He's jus' wavin' the sword about, stoppin' all my shots. I fake like I'm reloadin' and throw a grenade his way.

Luckily I was so scared, I forgot ta pull the pin. The moment I lob that sucker over at him, he smacks it back at me with the side of his blade. Now, I'm thinkin' I'm gonna blow up, and he musta thought the same, cause he didn't run over and gut me. I see that the pin's still in after shittin' myself and reload my piece before he can do anything. I start shootin' again, and he just stands there twirlin' his katana and blocking shots. When I'm half-way through my clip, I toss a second grenade his way, and he smacks it back my way. Hit me square in the chest. Thank the good lord I was wearin' kevlar or it mighta' broke a rib. He stands there lookin' like he's gonna win again, and I up and reload. Didn't pull that pin either, but at least I meant to not pull it that time around.

I keep shootin' and he keeps blockin, all the while yellin' and cussin' up a storm. I'm not even sure 'Fuckin' fucked fuckfaced fucker' is an insult, even after all these years. I mean, I think it is, but I don't think he knew what he was sayin.
Anyway, I'm shootin' off my last magazine, coming up on the end of it, when I quick toss my last grenade his way. He just ignores it an' gets too close fer comfort before I can start shootin' again, keepin' him from bisectin' me.
But like I said, Sues are stupid. He didn't knew that on my thumb was tha pin to a grenade. Well, there's this loud thud and the next thing I know he falls down face-first into tha dirt as my AK runs dry.
I run up, takin' my Colt out as I move, and place it on tha back of his head. I pulled that trigger five times before he stopped movin.'

Immediately I hear my friends moanin' and cryin'. I had some shrapnel in my shin, and I figured I got them in the blast too. They all rush on over to the corpse o' not Riley, but the Kid. They cursed me for killing their hero, and went on about how he was too young to die, and said some things that still haunt me to this day. They were under his spell, no fixin' that.
I want to think it broke after a while, the spell I mean. I bandaged up my leg, and gave Riley a burial at the ruins 'o our home. Took me two days. When I came back, they were still there, hadn't moved at all, voices hoarse from all the cryin', and they didn't show any signs 'o stoppin'.
I shoulda' done right by them and put 'em outta' their misery. I couldn't. I knew them, loved them. I loved Shell more than any other, and I... I couldn't give them the mercy they deserved. I took the damned sword and ran. I saw gonna throw it inta' the sea, throw myself in, too, but I wanted to hold onto it. Hold onto the life I still had.
It reminds me 'o them. It's my only link to those six and the memories we shared.

now he's holding DC and the surrounding areas under his control, poor bastards...

Anticlimactic that's the key to this whole thing, you have to make the Sue's death Anticlimactic.

The thing with these Sues they live and breath on pain, belittlement, fuck just any kind of attention good or bad. I think it feeds into their psychic gestalt or something.

To truly kill a sue you have to make it so that their death doesn't matter that their death just doesn't mean anything. Poison, drowning, misstep on a landmine.

You can't get personal with the Sues you have to make it so they don't even exist at all.

    Man-jesus. Don't do it, it won't end well. I just won't.

Personally, though, I thinks it's a test. A real Test, sent by the Lord. God, Buddah, Allah, Abraxes.... I don't think it matter what you call 'em. But the world beforehand, it was just about on the verge of tearing itself apart. Now... Well, I won't... I won't say that. I lost friends too, have lost too many friends, too horribly. But I'm thinkin', I'm thinkin' that if we survive, it's going to be because the human race, this race of ours, it can pull together, if it has to. It CAN fight, it CAN survive, and it CAN endure the most horrific of conditions, if necessary.

Because.... I admit, the alternative would destroy all faith in anything. Anything beyond the sadism inherent in the universe.

I'd say Amen, but this isn't much of a prayer. Luck, then, whoever's listening. Wish ye well, whatever it's worth.

I shouldn't even be alive right now--by all rights, that man should have killed me. But he didn't. I still don't know why. Maybe I was too obviously hurt, too obviously terrified. Maybe it was just some sliver of pity--I don't know. I never asked.

I was running. That I can remember, even if I can't remember who I was running from--or what. And I can remember the pain, like something caustic had gone through my insides, melted them, twisted them. But that is my first memory, that feeling of sheer horror. And then I was face to face with the man with the gun, his finger tightening almost, almost--

My head felt heavy, suddenly, like someone was pushing it down, and I lost unconsciousness there. I wonder, still--if I had remained standing, for one more second, would he have shot me?

The man didn't talk much to me, in the time I spent with him. But I didn't try to talk to him, either. I was too busy trying to understand this world I had woken up in, with these "Sues" that every sane man seemed to fear. They moved like lightning, struck like earthquakes. They carried weapons with impossible angles. They got inside your head, took out pieces of your mind until you wanted nothing more than to sit at their feet like some kind of pet. Don't look at them. Don't listen to them. Run away, and don't look back, and pray you die quick.

I never saw one. Not while I was still with the man. He dropped me off at one of the free towns and left, afterwards. I haven't seen him since, and I don't know what I'd say if I did see him again.

I live here, now, working in exchange for my stay. The people here don't trust me, not completely, and that's unlikely to change anytime soon--I keep to myself, all the better to avoid the questions I can't answer. It's alright, though. I'm not planning anything. The wound across my back has long healed, but the scar still pounds whenever I exert myself. And I'm still as thin as I was when I came here--if I tried to start anything, I'd be cut down in a hurry. That's what I think to myself, because it's true.

So I'm content, alone, in my small, dark, underground room.

    I was content.

Someone brought in a dead Sue, last night. It's rare, but I'm told it happens from time to time--someone manages to kill a Sue, miracle of miracles, and they bring the body in to see if she's got anything useful on her. Weapons, or technology that we can use. Anything to make life here a little easier. I was busy when they dragged her in, but nobody was watching me afterwards--I managed to sneak over to where they were keeping the body and take a look on my own. I don't know why I did that. Curiosity, probably. Most likely curiosity.

She was wearing a ridiculous outfit, something with not enough skirt and too many laces. She had two sets of ears, one on the sides of her face and the other on top, shaped--even furred--like a cat's. Her hair was painfully bright, colored in streaks like a rainbow, and even though the fight had left her only one hand remaining, I could see the claws, sharp and hooked, talon-like.

God help me. She was the first person I'd seen who'd looked human.

[Static]peat... thi...[static]is Hunter Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. I ran across a Sue about twenty miles North-West from Charlotte, was wandering by itself talking about some stupid shit, and Whiskey Tango Baker ran out to talk to it. I dunno, seemed like Baker wanted to comfort it or some shit. It was a little girl, Aberdeen. It was a fuckin' little girl. Flayed his skin from his body and torched the torso with some strange ass sword. Looked like it was either Jay-pan or China, though. Had weird angles that... hurt my head when I looked at it too long. Baker is a confirmed casualty, though. I had to hide under a dead cow for about a half-hour till some more flying kids came and more or less pepped it up and left like nothing happened.

The countryside is not safe. I repeat, the countryside is not safe. Do not send any groups besides sanctioned Hunters outside. The Sues can see at night almost perfectly making any time for salvage near impossible.

What if I told you I saw a guy go there to the Sue cities and make them die?
He was with us, we know he ain't Sue-way. Normal man. I and a few others volunteered to go see what the fucker was up to. He wanders into Los Angeles like some retard newbie. There's like a thousand Sues that jump him. They all start posing and shouting like they always do before you try to attack. I'm thinking this is gonna be carnage. And then that guy just finds a fucking park bench nearby, sits, takes out a joint and smokes it! Fuck! The Sues all go to him and start saying something and he responds back! They are fucking talking. Then they go away. THEY GO THE FUCK AWAY AND DON'T KILL HIM! We stayed in the lookout for a week. Almost every hour the Sues would come to him and talk for a while, then bugger off. He would just sit there and smoke pot! One of them even... one of the females even... gave him... a quickie!
This continued while we stayed. And on the last day, oh God, on the last day the Sues came. They were really pissed, but strangely sluggish. And then they just dropped dead. Hundreds of them, surrounding that fucking park bench - dropped dead. The guy calmly stands up and heads towards the base. Had a mild case of hypothermia, was stoned so much he could barely think. He was sleeping it off for a week and then ate like quarter of our supplies. But it was worth it.
Tell everyone. Tell every-fucking-one. We have a man that kills Sues. His name is Oscar.

I figured about the same, tried it once or twice when I wasn't too busy shitting myself and running like hell. Managed to get one tied up, bastard walked right into a sharpened tripwire and it didn't even cut his skin, just tangled his feet for long enough. Anyways, me and some others tied him up and dunked him face-down in a bathtub, waited to see if he'd stay down. Course we all kept our guns on him just in case, but we thought it was a sure thing from how often you hear that advice. He stays under for about a minute, thrashing and gasping like a bitch. He finally passes out and we figure he's through, but next thing you know he breaks through the ropes, eyes glowing brighter than any lightbulb you can still scavenge nowadays, and starts shouting about his dead parents or some shit. I jumped out the window and landed in a pile of junk, broke my damn leg doing it. A few seconds later the building catches flame, and I see him walking out the front door all slow and dramatic like he thinks he's badass. You can't always count on the anticlimactic shit, they can find a way to make it matter more, and then you and all your buddies are dead. Best way I've found yet is to make it really tragic. Gang up on 'em in droves with bigger weapons than they got, but tell 'em you got their buddies locked up and you'll let them live if they die. Make it seem like they're doing a noble sacrifice. They fall for it 6 times out of 10, and go down weeping.

The Oscar Method has indeed proven successful in a few field tests conducted around Free Town Capitol District. The best way to deal with them 'round here in the South seems to be to pop off a quick rifle round through their eyes once you get them started on a monologue. I once encountered a "Sue" during my time with the Deathwatch. It is an incident i am loathe to recall.

It was an unholy mutant, part man part feline, that wielded a sword almost twice as large as it's body. It took the lives of three Space Marines and over 200 rounds of Hellfire ammunition to bring it down, and even then it wasn't truly dead. An outrageously proportioned female ran to it to profess her "love" when it fell, and suddenly the pair became immune to all our attacks. Once it became apparent that some sorcery was at work, the remainder of my team pulled out.

The Imperial Navy unleashed the Life Eater virus moments later, ending the lives of over three billion Imperial Citizens to ensure the destruction of that beast. Once the Virus killed every living thing on the planet (thus creating a thick cloud of flammable gasses in the lower atmosphere), an Incendiary shell was launched that engulfed the world in a firestorm for the better part of a week.

Though the Navy detected no ships leaving the surface, and the Astropaths reported no anomalous Warp activity, a part of me knows that despite all the evidence, despite the impossibility of the notion, that the creature still lives. Even I, a Space Marine, dread the day when i encounter it once again.

What wrong there is that you still made it personal, hell it seems the only way anticlimactic is if there is no one there when they die. But then how do we know if we kill them? Kind of a catch 22 there a god damn catch 22.

The Noble sacrifice works some of the time. The thing is however is that they come back. I led a group of scavengers once. We would scout around the outskirts of the Sue nations see if we could scavenge any tech or even just food. I'm still amazed how much a week old apple goes for. Somehow we stumbled upon a mid level sue.

Captured it tied it up and convinced it we had captured the Arc Sue leader. Said that if he died we would let the leader free. The dumb Sue believes and and I shit you not grabs a ten foot sword out of nowhere and spills his guts.

We thought we got off lucky and hightailed it out of there before we see anymore Sues. A couple months go by and my team decide to go scavenge the same Sue state, considering it had a couple or orchards and I am a sucker for fresh fruit. When we get there the same motherfucking sue we convinced to commit suicide is there. Except this time he charges us screaming about how Justice and honor have brought him back from the dead.

I lost good men that day.

If you're gonna kill a sue its got to be one thing: inglorious. Doesn't matter if its a head-shot when they step out of one of their fortresses or a board with a nail when they come in your house it has to be an anticlimax.

I heard of a guy, Rodney, out in Donut Town. Apparently he's got bear traps fucking everywhere, the Sues never see it coming, they walk into town, thinking they own the place and then BAM their leg is in a vice grip and they're crying because it hurts. Then Rodney just moseys up, doesn't say a thing doesn't act all dramatic about it, and he crushes their heads with a sledgehammer. Apparently he's killed 13 full fledged sues, not counting the dozens of tardchildren he's bagged.

    WE CAN HURT THEM

Well, hell. That worked better than expected. After the first ten or so failures in Project Shaw, the telecommunications specialists got an idea.

Sues are, to every last man, woman and "thing," bloody stupid. We've scammed them before - you'd be surprised how many of them are willing to give up vital resources to a simple 419 variant. And then laugh when one of their "peers" are victim to the same.

So, with the eleventh agent, and much to her relief, we opted not to go with the long-term social engineering approach. Instead, just find out the personal contact information for the city's sues.

Took less than a week before every last computer in the area'd been infected with the StationSix worm. Feynman lectures. MIT OpenCourseWare videos. Even some of the better and more informative stuff from the Youtube archives, prior to Google HQ's infection (minus, of course, the comments).

They've already started to mobilize teams of lesser Hacker Sues to counteract, but that's alright. We were ready for them from the start.

We started force-airing Mythbuster reruns ten minutes ago.

A Sueless city. An honest-to-god Free City. Can you imagine it? Portland'll probably be nuked before the month's end by the surrounding Sue population - hell, with Station 6 as any indicator, scratch the probably - but... someday...

Us Hunters 'round Aberdeen have a lot of the same problems. The best places to stay in the daytime would be schools or libraries. Seems to be a bane for most Sues. One tried to follow us into an abandoned elementary school before and once it got through the front door it transformed into some fat thirty year old woman. It was a shame we couldn't be quick with putting her down, but with so many other Sues in the area we couldn't afford to put a bullet through her head. Had to use a damn hatchet. Its a lot different once you see their actual human side.

Well, your Rodney sounds good, but warn him anyway. Sparkles. That shit is crazy. Did the same myself, with a few bear traps. Heavy, but if each man in a patrol carries one, it can offer you a great safety net if your watch misses something.

One night, though, it didn't work. Was only a pair of tard-children, though; took Steve, Gen, and Alt, but we killed it dead.

Turned out? Trap was so rusted it didn't spring. Rusted! I warn you, them sparkles do crazy things. I carried that trap myself, if it was rusted, I'm a sue. It was brand new when I but it down that evening. But... Almost solid rust when I found it.

Steve was alright, Gen was a sweet thing. Alt? He was... about as close to a brother I ever had. Don't let it happen to you. Or Rodney.

Sounds like you got an anti-sue. He's a type of sue who if left alone will be worse then the ones he killed. He will drain you, physically you will start to feel weaker. He will act like a "Bad Boy with nothing to lose." to gain your trust, he will wear all black or dark colors, smoke weed, fuck all your women and get the lower rung males jealous. He feeds off adoration from females and male hatred. Then when he is cornered by the beta males he will strike, he will grow leathery wings, put on shades that he didn't have before, a katana will materialize in his hand that is blazing, and he will kill every male he sees, the female populace of the camp will literally lick his feet and his harem will be started, those poor women. The only sustenance they will have will be his semen and the smoke of weed. When they die he moves on in his disguise. I was the mayor of a mine-city. seven hundred+ males dead at because of his flaming katana. 700+ females in his personal harem. If you refuse him entrance to the camp he will bust through and transform. The best defense is saying that there are no women in your camp.

I'm a trader, I have to travel alone most of the time. I meet a lot of those "lone wanderer" type sues, the ones that aren't interested in followers, just "being the best" at using whatever strange weapon they carry.

I've found a way to beat them. Not all of them, but quite a few. They all have these retarded martial codes and honor laws that they bind themselves to and they automatically assume that you will honor this code. If you fight them and tell them you surrender, they cannot continue to fight you, it goes against their reality. The moment they turn their back *pow*, I shoot them in the back of the head with my mossberg. I've killed 6 sues this way.

Just remember it only works on the "Lone Wanderer" type. Don't try it on anyone else, you'll just end up dead, or worse a thrall.

Reporting from a wal*mart in sector 27 of New Gotham. Some survivors tried to hole up here like they mistook it for the zombie apocalypse. God damn, I wish it'd been the zombie apocalypse instead.
They must have been taken as thralls and left their shit behind. Lots of canned food, lots of ammo, at least a few forgot their weapons. I stopped carrying a gun a while ago, picked up a machete and a crowbar along the way, so you won't find that touched. There's .22 longrifle hollow point, .410 birdshot, .45 ACP hollowpoint, 12 gauge buckshot, 12 gauge slugs. 2 12 gauge shotguns, one .45 carbine, 2 .22 rifles. Looks to me like they were doing some small game hunting.

As much as it's not the zombie apocalypse, try not to fire a gun unless it's a choice between a turd hot dog and a shit sandwich- there's a sue establishment a few clicks north of here and it could well be within earshot.

That's sector 27, New Gotham, Wal*mart. I advise sticking to a small quiet group skilled in hand-to-hand and melee combat. Stealth is priority. Canned goods, guns and ammo. Sector 27, New Gotham, wal*mart.

Had to change routes to avoid a sue hotbed in sector 9 of the Nation's Meth Capital, expect next report to come somewhere between here and the Steel State. Keep Scavvin' and keep breathing.

We caught one just west of the City of Winds, just south of those big lakes in the US. They may be powerful.... fuck, they are nigh invincible. But they are stupid. They are overconfident and foolish, like children stomping ants. They don't think. They don't look. We can hurt them if we are fast, if we are cold. We can kill them if we treat it like taking out the trash. We can't let them win...

If anyone is still alive south of the big lakes, look for us. East of the dividing river, on the outskirts of the countries 3rd biggest graveyard. We have food and just enough gas to run the lights at night. Just be careful of the mines.... They are loaded with rock salt and copper wire. There are only 17 of us now. We able hands, and cold hearts.

The absolute worst thing about the Sue menace is that no single tactic is or ever will be universally sufficient. The Oscar Method, as it was known, was effective to various degrees in Sue hives established in areas formerly known for their cultural conservatism.

Then some dumbass nomad idiots, likely halfway to Sueism themselves from sheer exposure, tried it in California. In fucking Humboldt County. Marijuana capital.

Turns out, some Sues are perfectly okay with drugs. Seem to even run on them. Uppers, downers, hallucinogens, whatever - the higher they got, the more warped the fabric of reality around them.

Needless to say, the expedition to Humboldt County was a failure.

You know, this is more or less exactly like what some versions of Gensokyo (affectionately called "Grimsokyo") are like.
You've got a human village at the center of an alien land populated by cruel, capricious supernatural beasts, "youkai." The humans scrape by with wit, grit, whatever technological devices they managed to scrounge up, and their own faith.
Youkai range from the feral, savage youkai that prowl the wilderness of Gensokyo/Grimsokyo, to the more powerful, named youkai who wield terrifying, reality-warping powers. Youkai of the latter group often congregate into factions and carve out territories, like the Scarlet Devil Mansion, the House of Eternity, and the Palace of the Earth Spirits. And every last one of these named youkai is a cute girl who looks to be somewhere from 10 to 28 in age.
The humans of the village can take down the feral youkai, but they have no hope of surviving against a more powerful youkai. Fortunately, those youkai often engage in their own petty squabbles with one another, which frequently end in drinking tea.

I met a drug sue once. He chased me, because he wanted to start gathering followers, and I dived into the base. He followed me in, and with his presence was some kind of reality controlling anti-weapon field, all our guns melted.

He almost had us, and then my broseph, Jude, says " Dude, you have a serious problem. Your hurting everyone you get near, even when you don't mean it. This is an intervention"

It was pretty dramatic the way he broke down, but the thing is, he did turn back to normal, and then we killed him, and he hasn't bothered us since.

If they are powered by something controversial, you can stop them with something that makes them doubt their own nature.

That worked just south of... lets say the city General Motors built. Two sue's, both wearing some kind of high teck battle armor. Those two tore through our perimeter like a bat out of hell. Recon teams on the surface saw them and prepped the device, just in time too. We have over 3500 people there, hiding less than 260 feet underground. One shot from whatever kind of beam weapon the one with purple hair had could have gone right through that earth and concrete like it was paper.

We were lucky. The weapon worked, left them helpless in armor that was now nothing short of a shiny tomb. Evans slit ones throat, and little Carla put 3 in the back of the other Sue's head. They didn't come back either... they died badly, without dramatic interludes or any kind of death speech. We killed them cold, and they stayed dead.

We got those suits now, quarantined and locked away. Someone had a rumor the old researchers up on the Mitten were interested, but everything north of the city named after a saint is a graveyard now. Some Sue turned it into a smoldering wasteland with some kind of magical, blue, sparkly explosion.

I hear the sues haven't touched the Motor City and the people there have no fucking idea what happened, thought about going for a bit but I figured my chances were better out here the the sues.

I don't know what it is or how it transmits, but I think some of us are resistant. I knew another nomad by way of radio, sweet girl, who wanted to chance D-town, but I stopped hearing from her the day after she finally made it. Heard your last broadcast from the big onion. Thank god I got to a computer. This guy, he... fuck, I gotta explain all this from the start.

I found out pretty early you can't hide in basements or attics or bedrooms, hell, in any kinda house. 'Specially the basements though, they're like fucking magnets. So many of those fuckers out at the high school too, my niece... god fucking dammit.
Shit. Got lucky. Found me an accountant's office. If I'm quiet, them Sues don't seem to notice the place. It's like they don't see 'em. At all, like they can't understand they even fucking exist. Creepy shit.

Anyway, I heard singing 'bout three hours ago. Fucking singing, right? None of that siren shit either that some of them female Sues do either, this was some dude who sounded like he'd had a few too many. And it fucking was. Some drunk guy with a bottle of whiskey was wandering down the goddamn street singing some song about some chick called "Matilda", whoever the fuck that was. Then some Sue drops out of the sky and starts flying in front of him. Pink hair, some crazy staff, sparkles, you all know the usual bullshit. And you know what this guy says?

    "So like, who're you?"

'Course, this Sue strikes a pose and gives a dramatic speech and all. He just stands there and asks her how she's flying. She says it's magic and repeats her fucking intro speech. He just stands there drinking and when she's done he just says:

"We got one just like yer back in Australia. Same clothes and errything."
She just looks at the guy. "Really?"
"Yep. Should go check it out."
Then the bitch tears off at like supersonic speed or something screaming "ORIGINAL CHARACTER!"

Our Oscar Units are few in number and only operate under a rule of a single field agent to infiltrate and then a correspondent within a safe distance to his location as a form of backup and a precaution to prevent any sort of corruption.

Mostly around Aberdeen we stick with Hunter scavenging groups which are more or less the paramilitary version of Rangers as every individual with a legitimate military training is kept at home for defense detail.

Think of Hunters to be more like the Stalkers of yore from the old computer games.

Shit dude, I just found a new species of Sue!
I meen they're obvious but they're not! I don't know how to explain...

They call themselves PC's and whatever makes them gives them rules and limitations I don't know. The ones I met were on a quest to look for something called the tome of battle so that they could fight a local arch sue, they called it a BBEG though. In the process they manage to defeat a it's captain or somthing, a dragon to be specific.

Now I don't know the exact details but the moment they finished their quest they changed, they were now proper Sue's! Almost unstoppable! And poison? Yeah that did shit all! They just kept on yelling "IRON HEART SURGE!" Or some shit.

Man, these PC's are like larva forms of Sues or something. So if you guys find any take them down! They're easy enough to kill if you take them by surprise and they can apparently starve! Also as a tip go for the one with the pointy hat first if possible, those guys are like made of paper! Just don't let him use his powers.

"Why the fuck would I fall in love with that thing? She ain't even got any tits, mate! Bar lady back at the pub in Aus, now that's a fucken woman! Helps to be drunk though, gotta say. Notes from the second northwestern memetics and propaganda research team (2):

Scifi writers prior to the Sue era had half-jokingly suggested that it would be the war between spammers and anti-spam technology that'd produce the first recognizably human-level artificial intelligence. The Darwinian battle between human recognition and human /spoofing/ software would eventually produce a spam program sufficiently human enough to be something akin to a "philosophical zombie." Good enough, in other words, to trick you into thinking it was human.

We're not there yet. We might never get there. Research and development has stalled to a near-halt minus military research establishments (like this one).

That doesn't mean we don't have a few tricks, though. A heuristic "troll" program has the distinct disadvantage of a certain inflexibility of topics outside of what it's been programmed with. For every Sue, we have to tailor-make one from scratch to best fit their psychological profiles. For some Sues, we don't bother - the Arch-Sues, in particular, have minds that are dangerous to even fathom.

When we do, though, the results are generally positive. We can grind local Sue influence to a halt for up to two days on average with an AI chat program - their susceptibility to sunk-cost fallacies can override even their notoriously short attention span, allowing us to sneak in and out raid groups before they realize they've been suckered.

Sometimes, they'll even starve to death, so enraged that they forget necessities like food, water, waste disposal... assuming they still need those things, of course.

Sunnyvale, California, was eerily peaceful for over three /months/ as its nest of Hacker Sues were simultaneously engaged.

When I go into the ruins of the city I am left unbothered and unnoticed by the sues, I carry a bookbag filled with history books with me. I can scavenge to my hearts content and they never even look at me. It seems their powers of seduction don't work on me at all either. Intelligence frightens and weakens them. Bring books everywhere. Physics books seem to make it impossible for them to fly.

The sue population just cut down by half this week after an EMP blast. Looks like most of the sues here is linked to the computer networks somehow. Can you confirm who launch the strike? I've got a ton of food supplies I wanna give him, over.

NOT universally effective. I repeat, NOT effective. Survivors have claimed to see literature /warp/ to fit the preconceived notions of whatever Sue inhabits the area. Known hotspots include most of the schools under the University of California aegis, Brigham Young U, Regent University, and many others.

Minor establishments are probably safe. Public libraries are known havens. High schools are iffy - they tend to get burned down, at least in my area.

So...this is Alpha 114B...the entire team is down. I'm holed up in a college facility...somewhere in London. I don't really care for my position at this point, I'm already being attacked from all sides
They...my team is down. Blasted things...didn't even give me time to put them out of their misery.
But I have to tell this story...his story. Can't let the man's death be in vain.

We were traveling along the countryside...when we came upon it. The darn thing was huge. Huge goddamn house. Sue residence, we had no doubts. The team was me, resident marksmen, explosive expert...and then him. Mark. He was a former seal.
Guy knew every thing about the critters. If I didn't know any better, I'd say he was one of them.

So we scout it out for a while and we find there are several slaves. Mark instantly dismisses the thing and tells our sapper Mike to arrange a fireworks display to take the entire complex...but then my compassion gets in the way. Notice a group of kids in the thrall humans I do.

I wish I wasn't such a softy. I convince Mark to bust the kids out. And we go with it...oh dear god it all went wrong
The kids double crossed us. Called for the sue. I swear the thing almost looked like an arch... it probable IS one by now.

And this is what I wanted to say...Mark shields the damn kids. The guy who would rather just blow up the entire freaking planet shields the kids when push comes to shove
And what's worse...kids actually wake up. I dunno, maybe it's 'cause they were young and easily influenced.
Me and marksmen, Johny, manage to cover their escape

We've been ruining from the sue and its army ever since. Lost Mike along the way. Death by sparkle blast. He went out yellin somethin' about "waifus"
Johny died helpin' me find this safe house. Dunno how he died, but his last communication...I just hope he's actually dead

But I'm done for too. I have tons of traps in this room. I'll probably kill the thing...even if I do...I'm done man, I'm pulling the trigger

But someone can find those kids...about 5 clicks southeast of London...do it for Mark...please man, one last request from this so-

Shit! They're here...I'm out. Godspeed to all of you...Godspeed

We may not be able to fight a creature that fires blasts of yellow light that disintegrate buildings, but hundreds of recon teams, nomads and wandering traders have proven that we can outsmart them, at least enough to get away.

Notes from the second northwestern memetics and propaganda research team (3):

Our parody team's been working overtime. The little monsters are almost satirical in their behavior anyhow - it's not as if we have a shortage of material to work with. The real trick is in developing a narrative that A. successfully captures their attention, B. points out the worst of Sue behavior in such a way /sufficiently unsubtle/ enough for them to understand, and C. /not/ come off as a personal attack upon them.

C's the difficult part. Everybody's lost a loved one to a Sue. It's hard to keep that hatred out of their work.

What works, we think, is if the parody seems to satirize a rival instead. Best, ironically, is if it satirizes a "friend," or allied Sue - I leave it to you to judge their character from this. Unfortunately, there's a crater some fifty miles south of Seattle that demonstrates quite clearly what happens if we play up their mutual antagonism too far - a crater and a few graves.

Oregon City, though, we got it right. Sues actually /thinking about consequences/. Well, it immediately puts them at a disadvantage against other Sues, but frankly, nobody cares if the Sues do successfully kill each other - it's certainly a welcomed change of pace from them simply killing /everything and everybody else/.

But deprogramming may be one of the better weapons we've managed to concoct, as meager as its results seem in the grand scale of things. Project Dissonance continues - we're hitting Spokane in a couple of months.

TN University nomad here, do NOT use tax records. I repeat do NOT use tax records, they ignore them. History and Physics books are THE MOST effective. Science is the third most. Physics can even cause the weaker ones to shrivel up and die on the spot if you touch them. This will be a war of knowledge, if you read those books start saying formulas as well, ask them math questions, it KILLS THEM! If you carve questions into stone it seems to purify areas of their presence. I took to carving difficult formulas in the walls and they won't come within three hundred feet of the university. "The PPC will save us" you say. Pah! Useless, the lot of them! Started out fine, sure. Back when the sues weren't on earth, they could take them out fine. Not hard to kill a sue in a reality that's already warping and flowing trying to get away. But then some got careless. Recruiting "minor" sues, those that "didn't seem to really be sues". Eventualy, only three types of "people" were left in their base: Sues, Thralls, and the paranoid fuckers that weren't one of the other two. Rumor is that the Sues there opened the gates and let the rest into reality. Wouldn't surprise me, they had been invaded at least twice before then.

Anyway, the three types are easy to spot. The Sues are just to damn good at their job for it to be possible, They don't directly go after people, but they'll gladly drag you along on their "attacks" and "raids". The Thralls are similarly easy to spot, they tend to claim the sues have some leadership position, and will sooner kill themselves than let the Sue die. The Paranoids ones though, those you have to really look out for. Most of them are real vets, left over from the early days. Some ungodly combination of skill, pragmatism, and sheer fucking luck has managed to make them capable of easily killing a sue. Problem is, to them anyone that isn't covered in shit while lying face-down in a pool of their own blood is probably a sue. Occasionaly one will briefly help with killing an obvious sue, but expect them to treat you as expendables while the try to kill the thing with "Canon".

Ah yes, "Canon". Great thing in universes that have it, like everyplace but fucking here. They can't seem to get that through their heads, always seem to think it'll work. No such fucking luck.

I am from the Idaho Dominion.

We believe we are one of the largest surviving human run powers on the planet. But not for much longer.

Hope is the cruelest weapon of the Sues. Several times, I've met fellow soldiers on the battlefield away from camp that managed to kill a Sue. Some managed to kill several.

When they turned, it was a complete disaster. It turns out that fighting the sues will inevitably infect you, turn you into one of their thralls, or worse, into something like one of them. I believe this is where most of the anti-sues originated. They were soldiers who were too good at their jobs. They killed too many sues and then became what they fought.

The Idaho Dominion is rife with ten thousand loners, anti-sues all. They dress like cowboys and kill, rape, and torture whole communities whenever they come across them.

Protecting ourselves has made things worse than if the sues killed us. We've had to take to dressing in gray, get bad haircuts, dye our hair brown, and rotate off the battlefield. All we do when we're off duty is farm potatoes. Humbling work. The best defense.

I've killed a few. I worry every time I go out that next time, I won't come back as myself.

They can be killed... You just have to be careful. You have to be heartless. A completely passionless act, devoid of the emotions that they depend on so much.

It has to be mechanical. Someone used the word cold... They might be right. It has to be fast. It has to be brutal and ugly, without honor or remorse. We have all seen sue's take hits that would destroy an armored vehicle, and get back up because we gave them time. They would soliloquy about death and honor, about not being the best, about dying before they have achieved their dreams of dominance and fame. You CANNOT give them that time. You have to kill them fast and dirty. We know mines work, and traps are proved to affect the lesser ones. Dirty tangles of razorwire and homemade explosives wrapped in nails... they slow them down. That should be the only time you ever attack a sue. When they are hurt, you come up fast and finish the deed. Don't hesitate, don't think about it. Just do it.

Barrel flush to the back of their skull. Pull the trigger until there isn't a goddamn thing above the clavicle. Then walk away. Don't think about it, not for ONE FUCKING SECOND. It's the thought that brings them back. Don't brag, don't boast. It's just taking out the trash.

Notes from the northwestern expeditionary support team:

The memetics guys stumbled onto a real puzzler. Sure, it was theoretically possible, but...

Fifteen miles west of Spokane. Scouts stumbled upon a mining complex - probably a bunch of survivors, right? We thought to steer clear of them - paranoia being a universal operating procedure these days, it wasn't exactly cost-effective to reach out a friendly hand to them.

So they reached one out to us instead. That was the first and only warning Squadron Five had.

A pack of Survivalist Sues. Yes, /Survivalist Sues/. We think there might be one or two more solos out there - wanderer variants, except instead of katanas or claymores or shit like that, they're like horrid parodies of ourselves. Claiming successful raids against other Sues. Sharing techniques as to how to successfully deter them - most of these were later verified to be ineffective. It's as if the Sues have their own memetics team working against us.

Fuck. I'm not sleeping much tonight. Good thing I'm on patrol. Won't even need coffee to keep me up - the paranoia'll give me jitters just fine.

Tardchildren die from simple math questions, basic 1+6 type stuff, lesser sues require multiplication to hold back, average sues suffer when you add multiplication, division and subtraction together. Make them word problems and no sue will go near you for 50 feet. Even questions relating to science will scare them away, no sue has ever been able to make it within my science wall, I've built up walls around the university made of brick that have questions inscribed on them try decimals as well, I won't say the formulas so no spys can get past them but if you remember the basic stuff you will be just peachy. Intelligent sues are VERY RARE and often VERY POWERFUL. for that resort to your nearest mechanics hand book and use any formulas concerning fixing of cracked engine blocks, do not add diagrams or they will crack the question. Sues know NOTHING about cars.

The real last straw came when the Baddies, as we'd taken to calling them, took some serious offense to me (which was fair enough, all things considered, but their reaction was thoroughly contrary to their mission statement, and pissed us all off) and actually labelled *me* as a Sue, as if they were four year olds parroting "I know you are, but what am I?" - and what should happen but a goddamn time-travelling train crewed by the damned comes out of nowhere, as if summoned, and drops a giant fucking boulder on me.
Well fortunately one of the half-Sues - I called them the Crew, and they didn't seem to mind - happened to possess a time-travelling train of his own, and he jumped back, picked me up, and well.

See, after that, like fate itself fucking hated me, it turned out there was this guy who had been camping on the damned-train all along, and he fucking hated me for no seriously legitimate reason, and he came out of goddamn nowhere and killed one of the people the Crew liked.
Now she was a Sue herself, but fuck it, she was still a friend of a Crewmember, so we sallied the fuck out to save her - well, most of the Crew did; me and the biker chick headed up north and dealt with a separate portion of the Baddies' mission target, the leader of which was the person who'd sent me in the first place... fortunately I managed to turn her plan back on her, as I'd been sent there to splinter the force entirely, and instead unified those worth having into the Crew.

As for the others, well, it turned out that this fucker was a goddamn Arch-Sue, and you just wouldn't believe the shit this guy did. It was like reality itself bent to his whims, and the rest of the Crew swore every now and then they could hear a woman's voice, narrating his actions so that everyone around him could understand how amazing he was - his field was so amazingly strong that one of the Crew fell instantly, giving us yet another reason to pursue him. Eventually, it became apparent just the extent of his reality-warping powers - he'd managed to retroactively kill that member of the Crew's father, as well as plant memories of a lover's relationship in the mind of the Sue piloting the trainful of damned, and then managed to place himself back in time with this Crewmember, with the idea that by marrying her (or, as her lover referred to it, rapemarrying), he could become a king among Arch-Sues, perhaps even elevated to the status of a God.

We're safe down here because the sues avoid old world tech, probably because it makes them think of how normal the world used to be.

Naturally, if this all happened, we were fucked. And nothing we did could phase this guy. If his realitywarping powers weren't screwing us retroactively, he was shrugging off everything we threw at him. That was, until the lover of the brainwashed Crewmember did the unthinkable:

    The crazy bitch ascended.

By her own two hands, and with the aid of a time-travelling half-Sue who became a Crewmember, she went ahead and fucking ascended to the level of an Arch-Sue - to the level of SEVERAL Arch-Sues in fact, being a legion-like form. There was only one problem:
    >> Anonymous 01/31/11(Mon)04:09 No.13727630
    >>13727626
The Baddies were slowly ascending too, and their proximity to the Crewmember before she ascended caused some kind of cross in the streams, resulting in her hearing their voices incessantly whenever she accessed her Arch-Sue form, causing repeated bouts with minor insanity - because they did nothing but pick apart her actions from within her own psyche. Possibly this was an offshoot of our enemy Arch-Sue's field; I have no way of knowing.
She - our Arch-Sue, the Knight - called them gods, because with their subconscious reality-warping, that's what they were.

See, i was there. The day that it happened. I was taking a Calculus class at the community college, and on my way to class one day the entire Anime Club turned into sues. Right before my eyes.

I only survived because i pushed my girlfriend down a flight of stairs. Her cries for help attracted them while i got away. Judging by the screams i think she was raped to death.

Currently hiding out in my Grandpa's house. He died about a year before the Sue outbreak, but for some reason they won't come around here. My theory is that the presence of Republican iconography actively repels the sues.

On that note, if anyone gets the chance, experiment with the effects of Rush Limbaugh and/or Glenn Beck books on the Sues, I think the conservatism and general hate of anyone who isn't a rich older white-man is what's repelling them.

I have a survivors to protect here, and without me they would all starve, otherwise i would test it myself, but i can't think of a reason they have left us alone as long as they have..

Experiments by our field agents has revealed Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh to be effect against sues, but only in the most destructive and pyrrhic sense.

You see, the blatant drama-whoring and lies in their work directly confronts a Sue's narcissistic world view, forcing a dramatic psycho-analytical breakdown within the Sue's own mind. Imagine all the form-altering and reality bending power of a Sue, turned inwards in a moment of pure, self centered hatred in which a Sue is momentarily forced to confront the possibility that they might be less than flawlessly unique.

We lost most of downtown Atlanta that way. Some kind of fairy-swordsmen Sue melted down and took 18 square blocks with her, along with several hundred thralls and over 40 recon members.

Idaho Dominion Captain here. It was our fault. All our goddamned fault.

Idaho was lucky. We had few sues here, for some reason. They seem to like places with a lot of people, and Idaho is sparsely populated.

That, and a lot of us are simple people - farmers, ranchers, miners. Some of us became sues, but we were able to put 'em down. Most of the sues came from elsewhere. We fought a Mormon vampire-sue invasion from Utah, the sparkling bastards. But California was the worst. The Californian sues just flooded us, endlessly.

That's when we started to turn. We didn't know back then, but fighting a sue corrupts you just as sure as losing to them does. It's just slower.

Now we've got survivalist sues and Anti-Sues all over the place. They still kill the normal sues, thank god, but they kill us too. And they used to be our friends. Worse, they used to be our best soldiers.

We're still good at killing them. Too good; we only lose three men out of a fire team for every one we kill. But we lose the other two when one of the survivors turns into an anti-sue.

There's no salvation in hope. Even if you win, you'll just become what you fight. We're all damned, and this place is one big sparkly hell.

This is the Worm here. I've got some tips about those survivor sues, how to identify them, mainly.

They often have gas masks despite the fact that there is no real reason for us or them to carry such equipment. I believe they do this because of pre-sue ideas of what a post-apocalyptic survivor would wear.

Although they might carry mundane equipment, it's often the wrong type, look for AR-15's in europe and kalashnikovs in the americas. Also look for especially flashy/stereotypical weapons such as desert eagles, .44 magnums, and uzis.

Unlike most survivors, they will not be wary of you and will immediately offer to help you in any way they can.

If for whatever reason you are with a group that you are not familiar with and you suspect them of being survivor sues, watch to see if they ever clean their weapons. If they don't, you've got yourself some sues.

The good news is that these sues are very weak. Apparently their only real strengths are apparently never having to reload their weapons, not needing food or water, immunity to extreme cold and heat, and rumours say, an ungodly resistance to radiation.

    Worm out.

Idaho Dominion Captain here. We're going to share our techniques with you, god help you all. It'll just be trading one plague for another, but at least the anti-sues murder sues too.

First, every sue is unique. You can classify them into power levels, types, psychological profiles, and methodology.

The best way to handle them is with low, simple technology. Pistols, rifles, revolvers. The more you scale up your efforts, the more dangerous they are. They scale with you. We currently believe several arch-sues were normal lower level sues before the early nuclear bombardment of infested areas. The survivors are more powerful than ever before.

Because there are so many sues, I can't possibly go into them all. But cover all your bases. Keep a simple, brutally primitive shotgun or rifle. Keep a few books - physics, religion, and ethics are a good start. Make sure to read them yourself; it helps keep the infection from taking hold.

Dress simple and ugly. Don't get fashionable. It only makes the infection spread faster. Look as much like a normal human as possible. Brown hair helps, for some reason. There aren't many brown-haired sues.

Some react to drugs, some react to purity, some react to religion, some react to hate. Most react to having horse-shit flung in their face. Seems to disrupt their confidence, for some reason.

But most of all, blend into the terrain, and snipe them from a distance. If they don't know you're there, they can't believe they're immune to your bullets.

Be cold. Be efficient. And most of all, never let them see you or talk to you.

Good luck, and I hope you can deal with the aftermath of too much success.

I discovered an interesting evasion tactic against the Sues a few days ago. I've been testing it, and i think this could be useful.

If you play slow paced dramatic music, the Sues will often perform all their actions in slow-motion. Some of them even stop entirely and gaze into the distance. The second effect seems more prevalent during sunrise or sunset.

Tardchildren and Survivalist sues seem mostly immune, but the more powerful ones are almost universally effected.

Keep in mind that this is NOT a perfect tactic, since even in slow-motion the stronger ones can still out-run a human. Plus the music will probably alert other nearby Sues to your presence, but if its a split-second between life and death that is worth the risk.

Be wary of that shit. People who talk the sues into suicide or into turning away are likely in the middle of an infection, and may be turning into a sue themselves.

It's possible to turn the infection, if it hasn't spread too far.

Smear yourself with shit. It sounds crazy, but it works. Nobody can run on pride when they smell like a sewer. Then read a book. The dryest, most boring book you can. Scavenge some colorless or dark clothing. Do something boring. Eat something boring. Don't sing, don't talk, and avoid contact with other sues.

The further I spread the mathmatics or science the better it seems to get, on average I see twenty tard children a week instead of the patrols of them that used to be here. My nose is useless anyways so I'll start covering myself in feces as soon as this is verified.

Fire, motherfucking fire. The furry ones die horribly if you manage to get them with a molotov or napalm. The fire doesn't even go out until they are ash even when it should burn out, they scream in more pain if you yell "Yiff in hell furfags while doing it". It isn't especially effective on any other kind, they just walk out of the flames in slow motion.

Idaho Dominion Captain here. This will be my last transmission.

I've started to turn into an anti-sue. I knew it was happening when I killed that plant-controlling eco-sue from Washington yesterday. She wrapped a vine right around my neck, and I saw her wipe out a dozen other men with that simple move.

But I didn't die. Dear god, I should have. I took the defenses against sue infection too far. I killed her with my bare hands.

I've already got an eye-patch and a stetson on. I'm tougher than I've ever been. My face already looks like a grizzled tree trunk, and I've got three revolvers and I don't know where they came from. But it's getting harder to talk or think about anything. I haven't said a word aloud for almost a week. When I wake up tomorrow, I think all that's going to matter is killing sues and staying alive.

Don't take my advice. Ending up as some mindless walking gun is just as bad as being a sue. There's no way to win. Just shoot yourself now.

There is no way to survive.

It feels so good to survive. It feels so good to kill.

    Survive... kill... survive... kill...

Worm here. The underground slip and sli- ah fuck it. They're down here already anyway.

A bunch of steampunk sues showed up down here in the subway. They ran over about 50 people sleeping on the tracks with their train. Everyone's panicking and fleeing, we'll be lucky if half our number survive the night.

I'm bugging out with some friends to a hidey-hole. So this will be my last broadcast for a while. If you want to find us, we'll be in the building that was founded by Teddy Roosevelt, I doubt the sues will go snooping around there.

Notes from the third northwestern memetics and propaganda research team:

Spokane... nobody's heard from the Spokane team.

Actually, nobody's heard from Spokane, period. We sent a repaired Predator out to get an eye on the results.

We're still not sure what to make of it.

There was, according to our intel, no Arch-Sue in the area. The dominant faction was a small handful of mid-strength Fantasy Sues - maybe one or two of them were edging towards a greater insanity, as is symptomatic of their kind, but...

Spokane no longer exists. We don't know what happened. We don't know if Project Dissonance succeeded or failed.

Our best theorists (that are left - Professors Winder and Chen were on the missing team) now suspect that being made a Sue is a one-way transition - they've become "crystallized" into the roles they're so wont to play, and reversing it... cancels them out. Sufficient dissonance to their role causes them to lose existence entirely.

Maybe taking the surrounding bits of reality out with them.

Frankly, that's an optimistic scenario. It'd imply that it's possible to deal with them at all - even with severe collateral "damage." And possible, then, to intervene with lesser Sues before it's too late - for both them and us.

Me? I think it's just Station 6 again, on a bigger scale.

    I'd like to be wrong.

Nothing in sight, It was a trap. If not for the fact that I always carry a sharp rock with a multiplication question on it. She was a wretched beast, huge breasts and three dicks hanging out of a rainbow colored skirt, she had cat ears and wore a tanktop that was about to burst. When I pulled the stone out she shrieked and her dicks fell off. I'm scared she might have infected me, she was within 10 feet of me after all. I'm not risking the water. If anyone hears this you might want to stay away from me. I have no clue how the infection works but I might be contaminated. I have a shotgun prepped just in case I turn. I've seen a few of them blown up, immolated, or killed in some way by jury-rigged sparkly contraptions they were carrying. So far as our intel network is aware of, there has yet to be any significant rearrangement of global landmasses.

Which is not to say that Dublin wasn't glassed a year ago - twice, in the same day - but that the Sues warring in the region weren't of sufficient power to disturb things at such scale.

If an Arch-Sue was involved? They might've simply /forgotten/ that they sank the place, and expected their favorite chippy to be there the day after.

Except for Arch-types that simply "disappear" a rival or hindrance.

Cleaner, perhaps, than butchering them with a hail of medieval swords out of nowhere. Rarely permanent, given the nature of Sues.

If you have not yet fully crossed, then for your own sake I hope you're on good terms with her. Or maybe even that is a cruelty.

It appears that some sort of localized reality-alteration has occurred. I theorize that if a pair of especially powerful arch-sues were involved, it would be possible to create a reality divergence where Ireland is simultaneously under the ocean and above it. The determining factors for when exactly each version applies are undetermined, but it seems that individuals are "locked" into one or the other.

Of course this is all theory...but the alternative is that half our fucking network is under the influence of a mindfucker, and if that's true the point will be moot soon enough.

Crewleader here, that is entirely possible. Also gives a reason for me and mine to all remember that - assuming that Sues run on your ego (as your research seems to show), it behooves her to keep people's memories of the situation intact, even if otherwise vaped from the timeline.

I'd be willing to believe the selective memory alteration thing, but then wouldn't it have been easier to 'shoop' those memories straight into my head instead of having me and the Crewmember I'm still with be halfway across the world doing other stuff?

    Spokane was fuckin' /creepy/.

Yeah, I got some footage. One of the lab geeks snapped at me for rearing more questions and not a single answer with the damn thing, but fuck her. She wasn't there. The only reason why the three of us aren't dead's because we were scoutin' the escape routes out when the Event hit.

Here's what I... /think/ I saw. And note the goddamn tentative. Our infiltration cocked up about halfway through - sheer bad luck. The brat ruling Spokane stumbled upon the net cafe we were using with a couple of his harem girls - we thought he'd be at the one across town instead. Killed the entire team there, of course.

Here, the last five seconds of Professor Margaret Chen's video feed. She was the first to fall, I think - can't confirm. She had her equipment off for some reason, and put the camera on a counter.

Y'see the kid's face? Kinda looks like her, huh? And his last words: "Mom?"

NCA-25, what variety of Sue is it? That will determine the disposal procedure.

In any case, do NOT dump it in the tunnels. Visual confirmation of the corpse is necessary, or it will inevitably survive to bite you in the ass later.

TN Nomad here, I don't think I'm infected, reading through old math books, although boring. Is not causing any form of physical ailment. I've inscribed the halls of this building with questions of varying degrees of difficulty and set up pressure plates that swing math books at whoever stepped on them. It's been 24 hours since my encounter and I've yet to go back outside. I'll start inscribing things on the roof next. I'll do whatever I must to make my city safe again. There's a few bikes laying around, I'll probably inscribe those as well so I can move about when scavving faster. I''ll see the effects of inscribing as I go to try and get them further from my shelter. This handy man ain't going down without a fight.

    Disposal is fairly simple then.

Step 1: Cut it off from any usable technology and/or chemicals. I assume that your lockdown chamber is up to code, so this should already be accomplished.

Step 2: Apply Napalm or equivalent liberally. The Mad-Scientist variants are physically frail if you catch them before they begin inventing crap. You know you're done when the remains are indistinguishable from common fireplace soot.

All i can say is that i'm in the continental USA, and my number was originally used by the USPS. Figure that out and finding me should be easy enough. I've left clues hidden around the area.

We're using the mineshafts underneath the area for supplies-running, with the only known surface entrance being heavily-barricaded. Our only real issue at the moment is the Class-GMS Sue we have under lockdown, as our supplies are sufficient for another fifteen years. We're also looking at building a mountain outpost for early warning against Class-Me Sues, with the S subclass in particular being a priority concern.

Alright. We're going to try it. We're besieged anyhow - give this another year, and we might as well down some, haha, Vitamin C. The Other Vitamin C.

We're going to artificially create a Sue.

We've got the training prepped. Years of research into the Sue menace, what remains of the notes from the Northwestern branch (poor bastards), and the results of our own telepresence-enabled "experiments" on a few captive lesser Sues. I gotta tell you, for anybody else that wants to take these files and continue our efforts - remote-controlled surgery on a Sue still isn't without risk as an infection vector. Cut their vocal chords first.

You can thank me if we survive this.

We're brainwashing one of our own. A support team member that's quantifiably on the verge of breakthrough into anti-sue. We're loading him with a subconscious abstract of the physical laws as we've understood it prior to the Sue era, and enforcing negative conditioning against all currently known archetypes and trends of Sueism.

And then we're flipping the fucking switch.

If it works - and we'll be damn lucky if it does - we'll have developed a "Reality 'Sue.'" A walking, talking, depowering zone. A Sue-like memetic broadcaster that /should/ shut down anything of lesser fortitude of belief.

Or, if our shit luck continues, we'll just create an interesting new Sue variant. Thus why we're sticking him into an MRI machine - the moment reality /stops/ working as intended, the room's rigged to dump cyanide.

It might not kill him, but it'll take care of us well enough. And to make sure, we haven't told him about the failsafe either.

    Well, wish us luck~

Just last week there was a Sue Fight a few miles south of us. Must have been nearly fairly high level too, because when we sent a team to check out the aftermath, a river was gone. Evaporated. Poof. Bone dry.

Either they actually managed to flash-steam it all the way to the source, or they somehow entirely rerouted one of the largest rivers in North America. Hopefully it just rerouted to another valley a few clicks south, or else the ecosystem around here is going to collapse. A problem for another day though, since our food stocks are good for another year.

How long has it been? No one's quite sure. Somewhere along the way we've lost track of time. Just didn't seem to matter anymore, but it's generally agreed to have been a few decades at least.

We lost contact with the last centralized "Command" village a while back. Sues started to home in on them, or their little lab setups went wrong.

One even devolved into some Easter Island clusterfrak with mass cannibalism and tribal chiefs. Then the Sues got in, probably because they were too busy killing each other to repair the walls. Who knows, may someone decided to end it. Either way, haven't heard from Iceland in a while.

Then the others started to pop out, one by one. Survivor groups claiming they were the replacement commands, a dozen little HQs squabbling over who got to give the orders. My theory? Up on the surface, there was less of a supply shortage. Made them greedy. Didn't take long for fights to start breaking out independently, all over the world. My God, can you imagine it? We're on the verge of extinction and Survivor Bob decides he wants to play general.

We stopped listening when there were more Sue-broadcasts than men on the channel. That'd been starting for years, but no one seemed to notice it. More fool them.

Life might not be pleasant down here in Cainia, 'specially seeing as it used to be a maxsec prison for America's dirty laundry, but one thing's for sure. It beats playing Sue-toy on the surface.

(Um...I'm pretty sure you didn't write that.)

We never gave the Sues enough credit. From day one, we've treated them like a disease, animals. Politicans made speeches about "infected zones", "contamination", "vectors". Reds loved the last one. People looked at those tardchildren and listened to the nonsense the Sues spew and took it at face value.

Fact of the matter is, we should all be gone. Even the few of us here at Camp Hope, last humans on the Antarctic continent. Hell, we've sent out enough transmissions over the years for some Hacker-Sue to reverse the polarity or some nonsense.

We should all be gone, by simple logic. They're capable of taking us out, and there's not a damn thing we can do about it? Warding them with books? What are they, vampires? This isn't Stroker and you're not the plucky heroes.

No, we should all be dead and gone. If they wanted to, they could just make it happen, snap of their fingers. The ones that have fingers.

Only one explanation that makes sense. Can't say I like it much, but the facts fit.

They know we exist. And they don't really care.

I'm vacatin' the safe house. We haven' been able to sleep for days, what with bein' trapped in some kind of reality defyin' abomination scenario. We'll try and find a way to head south through sea route towards Britain.
