This is indeed Traveller. I'm trying to gradually build a collection of planets that I'm going to call Sector TG.

I used two of them from previous threads in my Traveller game last night, but I want to roll up a new one to be an NPC's homeworld.

Looks like this is going to be a pretty small planet. I don't have many of those yet, looks good so far.

The last creature /tg/ helped me roll up was the stuff of nightmares, kind of an organic Bouncing Betty mine that infested the low-population frontier mining colony we had created.

I've got to say, these random tables are a big aid to creativity.

Anarchy. I approve. I'm not going to bother with the factions table as there's probably about half a dozen people living on the planet - it'll wind up like "well who's the Popular Front of Judea?" "Oh that guy over there."

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Law Level 0 is appropriate as well, seeing as even Law Level 1 assumes the existence of some kind of police force.

The culture table is my favorite table. Roll dice+2d6 however many times you all feel is appropriate.

For some reason I keep winding up with sexist cultures that settle their disputes by dueling. I had some epic duels in a prior game of Traveller I ran - one of my players had a broadsword, Strength 10, and Melee (blade) 3, and he got them out of quite a few jams.

Also, I would still appreciate any good theories about who these folks are and why they live on an uninhabited planet.

The planet Shandu in the Eonande sector is often called instead Ilyes' Domain after the famous dominatrix who calls it her home. Although she is a wealthy member of the Imperial family, she prefers outright lawlessness in order to more fully live the sybaritic lifestyle, and as such there is absolutely no law on this planet save the laws of strength and coercion.

The Ymesee, a rugged people with no central government, are proud natives who mostly keep to themselves, as defined in the Galactic Encyclopedia.

I'm stealing your roll for the Size table.

Good god these things are 400 fucking kilograms.

Haha wow, that looks like it's going to be Exhibit A in your trial someday.

My girlfriend takes strong pain medication for her migraines and bumps into counters and stuff without noticing, so she usually has random bruises everywhere. I've had people see them and look at me funny. It's ironic because I get up to all kinds of kinky impact play with her but I'm too much of a gentleman to leave visible marks.

Please use these six dice rolls for something.

    rolled 5, 3 = 8

    >>14724201
Man, let's use that 4 for something else.

3 Sensitive Cilia or Hairs (whiskers)
6 Inflates (recurring theme due to thin air?)
1 Digs burrows (makes sense w/cilia)
    3 Crawls on Webbing (underground)
3 Males Gestate Young (again? interesting)
    1 Acid Spit (ouch!)

Looks like it's got 3 Armor, 6 Instinct, and 4 Pack score.

Oh, and it says scavengers automatically get teeth as weapons. Carrion eaters get +2 Instinct and a boost to their Recon skills.

It's easier to have lighter-than-air flight if the atmosphere is dense, not thin.

Also I prefer only to roll on the quirks table once or twice because it gets overwhelmingly weird fast.

So that's it? We're done rolling, or is the population large enough for us to explore a few factions?.....
