As much as you have pride in yourself for being a true Norscan, the woods look pretty much the same for you as you go deeper into the thick of the trees. You do notice that the trees are in all sorts of decay and death, and that where it was just dried husks, now dark mold and mushrooms begin to sprout from the trunks.

Your slave looks nervously about, probably picking up signs of your own lack of knowledge of the area...

What now? (Roll 2d12 and an action. First die being the priority given, the second die being the effectiveness of your action. First five rolls will be considered.)

No sooner than you proclaim your superior Norscan heritage, a rancid smell assaults you. You remember the old teachings of your village. Mainly the nightmare stories about how beastmen steal cowardly children at night and how disgustingly foul the odors of their ruts.

The herdstone is s ghastly sight. Dead creatures of all kinds and races hang from it, with rancid entrails hanging like ribbons off the crags.

If this is not a sign of beastmen, then Tzeentch controls far more of the world than you initally thought. Your slave can't hold her own and she vomits on to the ground next to you.

You laugh at your slave, mocking the nasty slaver who loses her stomach at such a simple display. It seems your taunt drives home and she looks down in shame, trying to steel herself against the smell.

Looking at the herdstone, a few ideas happen upon you, but for now you decide it would be much more in line with the thoughts of the Raven God to acquire as much knowledge about the stone before acting.

You look around, seeing a perfect hollow tree stump in a hideous oak. You push your slave into the trunk and find that you both can fit comfortably in the trunk while still being perfectly hidden.

Eventually, much to the delight of your now numb legs, you peer through a knothole out to see movement in the herdstone. Large, hulking figures meet your gaze, but they are not the beastmen that you have expected!

Intead, the bright green skin of orcs meet your gaze. This is not good. Beastmen, you had a chance to tame and subjugate, but you have neither the strength or the numbers to deal with a mob of orc boyz. They seem to be deep in concentration, spreading their dung on the herdstone to make a crude mark of Gork.

What do you do now? (Roll 2d12 and an action. First die being the priority given, the second die being the effectiveness of your action. First five rolls will be considered.)

As you stand as much as you can in the stump to crack your back, a thundering can be heard in the forest. The ground shakes and you can see tree branches rattle from your peephole. The stench becomes even more rancid, if that is possible, and you begin to feel a sense of dread within you.

A braying roar fills the air, and you see the monster making the commotion. Your slave looks around nervously, as if knowing the danger.

    A minotaur enters your view.

Massive and corded with scars and muscles, takes one look at the descrated herdstone and screams in anger. It grabs the dead orc in one hand and raises it high, breaking it in half and letting the black bloods seep into it's mouth while using the rest of the body like a morbid brush to wipe away the dung from the rock.

What now? (Roll 2d12 and an action. First die being the priority given, the second die being the effectiveness of your action. First five rolls will be considered.)

The minotaur's steps falter and it crashes down mere feet away from you as it loses it's footing. The spell is taking hold of him, but even the power of so many of the Raven quills cannot hope to overcome the hold of the other Chaos gods on the beast! Quickly, the spell is still holding him to the ground, but you have so little time before you exhaust yourself!

Over the din, you hatch one final, desperate plan. Screaming over the howling maelstrom of energy that is holding the beast at bay, you command your slave at the ready. Almost as if of one mind with you, she has already emerged from the tree before the last few words leave your throat. It is a wonder to see her work, even with her wrists still manacled as they are. Her eyes glow as brightly as the blue brand on her forehead as she flips and stradles the monster's shoulders, and she claws at the monster's back.

"FOR THE RAVEN GOD!" she cries out in exultation, and her nails drag and break but outline a crude image of the Eye on the minotaur's back!

Spent the slave goes limp and rolls off, barely managing to tuck as she drops to the ground. A second later, the doombull starts to convulse and shake. Though it seems not to become the daemon host you had hoped for, the creature is soundly subdued, and it crumples to it's side as the mark burns at it's nape.

The last of the feathers evaporate in your hand, and your knees meet the ground as well.

Well done again! (Roll 2d12 and an action. First die being the priority given, the second die being the effectiveness of your action. First five rolls will be considered.)

Weak as you are, you know that your spell may still falter. You make yourself stand, inspecting the hulking brute. With the sword in hand, you attempt to carve another symbol into the doombull's hide, but the skin is so tough you barely make scratches on the surface. Another testament to your slave's prowess at making the mark with just her nails, you suppose, but for now you have to deal with the fact that you are too weak to make any new sigils.

What now?(Roll 2d12 and an action. First die being the priority given, the second die being the effectiveness of your action. First five rolls will be considered.)

You think that the best course of action is to see if the raven can judge another course of action, whether to reward your for your great success or point you to the right direction.

You focus all your thoughts to summoning the bird, even sacrificing another precious feather from your shawl, which now sports a noticeable patch. This only makes the mark on your elf's forehead glow and have her mumble a few names of the Raven God, but not much else.

Before the idea even finishes forming, Minionelf already is stirring and kneels placidly by the minotaur. It seems that at least you've garnered enough favor if the mark on her head is any indication, as it still glows the eerie blue.

"You rest now, my lord. I will keep watch over the beast and wake you if anything needs your attention..." she replies sweetly, obviously in deep thrall to the brand.

You shrug and think it best not to look a gift raven in the beak and settle down next to a tree stump.

You wake up to the urgent shaking of your slave elf.

"... wake up. Wake up, you stuuu..... pendous cultist! Ugh... there are lights approaching!" She hisses at you, and you can see that it's twilight already. While you are well rested, she seems to have awoken from her Tzeentch induced trance and has kept watch on your orders alone and the fear of going back into mindless subjugation. You can see that she almost slips as she wishes to call you other things, but she catches herself and wakes you up as you wish.

True enough, there are dim fires in the distance. The bull is still unconscious, and your slave is weary and tired. What do you do? (Roll 2d12 and an action. First die being the priority given, the second die being the effectiveness of your action. First five rolls will be considered.)
