SIMPLE RULES: You are a sentient magical blade, out to help your owner achieve her (Formerly his) main goals in life: Become rich, own a castle, and have many servants. Your current abilities and powers are as follows:

RUSTING DISEASE: Upon striking with your blade, wounds necrotize rapidly. If left alone for long, eventually the limb becomes a skeletal, rusted husk. After a few days, this condition spreads to the rest of the body, leaving the victim alive and in terrible pain. This ability is passive and does not need rolling.

CANNON: As you are moved, a green gem in your hilt stores kinetic energy. You may, at any time, release this energy in the form of a directed blast. In time, it grows to incredible power. In order to use the CANNON, put CANNON in your subject line, and use the last listed CANNON DIE.

EGO: Your strength of will and your soul power the magical abilities of the blade you are set into. As you control a situation, you gain more EGO, which allows you to cast 'spells' by shaving away this protean, ever-changing amount of energy. This ability need not be rolled.

INFLUENCE: A secondary power of the EGO, you may put INFLUENCE in your subject line and roll 1d100. This will make any suggestions to your weilder seem like an excellent idea - so long as you roll below the current EGO score.

You and Dio wander the city, slowly. Margo is strapped to her back, you to her side. Time passes awkwardly as Dio walks, pensive.

    >>It's the blood, isn't it? You're angry about the blood.

Yeah, she's angry, but you're not sure about what.

<<Difficult to explain - while humans breed and change, Orcs generally... work differently. They... remember. Between generations, I mean. Men remember the father, women, the mother. It could be said that each king is not a new one, but the last, only reborn. They are such good soldiers from generations of the same. They are good farmers and hunters because of eons of practice. Their industries... You get the idea. Put simply, the king lives, even if it is not the same one.>>

This is the first time you've seen Dio altogether. But the face and the eyes, they strike you first. The way they never lose ferocity, the will and strength to live and barrel through. Such eyes remind you of your last weilder, a great man with great intentions.

    Guylumph...

You shake the memory and re-implant yourself a little closer.

Slim shoulders. Wide hips. Definitely a proper woman, now, even the face is slowly changing. By tomorrow afternoon... yeah, you're certain the full change will have occurred. She seems to be having trouble cleaning, instead only staring blankly down.

Ah, that explains it. She still identifies as a He. Thus, bathing like this... Is awkward as being around a naked woman. And also annoying because of natural confusions regarding associated body parts wth said experiences. Maybe he (she?) was an early bloomer, in that respect? Eh. Doesn't matter. It makes sense now.

Finally, she (He?) gets back to cleaning, and you manage to return to your previous location unnoticed.

To see the tall man from the arena coming this way.

Gonna take a guess here: We accidentally sniped him with our cannon in the arena. It was a small detail, saying that we put a hole in the wall when we were shooting the guy who was mostly playing with us. Anyways, offer him the bow, I suppose, it's of no use to us. Then mention how it was an accident, the fact that Dio's 12 years old, and that we need more time to make such a decision. I'm sure he can find us again in 24 hours or so.

Also, is there anyway that at our meeting with the freedom fighter/terrorist, we could work a SUBTLE magic on him with EGO (ours or Margo's), so as to plant a subconscious cue? Something along the lines of "This Dio kid is nice, maybe I should protect her", in case he can't be trusted on his own.

Oh, and if we CAN do this, don't mention exactly what we're doing to Dio, in case she suspects we're doing the same to her... Which we should do, if possible, by the by.

    One mule
    One large cart
Four chests, each three feet wide, two feet deep, and three feet high.

You also purchase four sets of locks and keys to go with them, on Margo's advice. Dio decides to take her meal now, and you note you still have about 65 % of the money you've converted. However, more is always good. You ride out, Dio humming quietly to herself.

Her voice reminds you of times before.

A man with wild eyes and untamed hair, half a suit of armor and even less caution. His hand wraps around your hilt, stong and solid. You remember.

You remember the wielder who held you in the past, the second most recent one. His name is like silver letting in your mind.

    Guylumph The Mad.

The war had been started over a simple thing. The Kingdom of Rust's production lines and mining stained and poisoned the river that ran through the capital of the Magic kingdom, Cydonia. It was a stupid war - but for Guy, it was personal. His wife had died to that horrid water, during the birthing of their only son.

He told you these things after battles. You aren't sure why.

He was fast, so fast. He was given magical nonsentient armor, and he ended up discarding half of it, preferring a range of movement it did not offer. Wild and thirsty for blood, he ran howling through battle, like a beast, zipping past men and opening wounds as he went, your blade biting shallow - but enough.

You snap from your reverie, telling tales of the man, yet finding it impossible to mention his name. You tell of the times when men still held you, before time in the Annex warped your magics into a snarl. And the images evoked by Margo's song only help matters.

GENTLEMEN! If I may offer a suggestion, if we were to say, ever gain a physical personification, an actual humanoid form. Would any agree to my own imagination of pic related, but red and orange with rust with a white cape / tabard that is stained on the sides with the typical stains that rust brings to cloth? As well as our sword form?

Just a suggestion y'know, also ripped this off of google for a game I own but don't have any good screen shots of.

I've been thinking about this Empathy. So far it seems like a good thing, but I can see future problems that might arise. I have a feeling that the Empathy stat will be a two way street, while we can work better with our wielder, I think they might start affecting us. I'm mostly just worried that this Empathy thing might bite us in the arse later on if we don't watch it.

I assumed it represents a gradual merging of mind.soul, since teh first time it upgraded, our telepathic communication became a two-way thing, and it always seems to increase when we make an effort to become more familiar with Dio. I'm curious to see where it goes, though.
