    Ok Necrons!

So...let's talk about why we all hate each other and why your fluff is better than others people's fluff.

I guess you could also talk constructively about the new units, the new rules, or characters. But that would be gay.

My Necron Lord is one of those down with the False Gods kind of undead dude.

He's comes to the aid of rebels of any faction (especially humans) who are trying to throw off the shackles of oppression.

His motivation is that he doesn't want other races to fall to a god like they did the C'tan.

Also, he fights other Necrons because he believes he should be the ruler of a new unified Necron Empire. The other Necron Lords are unworthy imbeciles.

(My motivation for this fluff is so I can field my Imperial Guard with my necrons and pretend it's the same "faction". The Imperial Guard being humans who have rejected the Emprah and sought out this Necron Lord for protection)

Ok, I'll bite. Let's start the tread off positively. I like the new necron fluff. I think it's cool that now I'll actually be able to CONSIDER what loadouts to use on my troops, what troop choices to bring, and what badass commander I should set loose. It all seems very fresh. I love the commanders, the vehicles, the new dakka, and POWER WEAPONS! My only gripe is the lack of that giant necron monsterous creature that was rumored. I wanted my Iron Giant mini!

I really think we should just, you know, *talk* about the new stuff.

Not whether it's better or worse than the old stuff.

    Just discuss it.

I really hope we got all the arguing out of our systems the first few threads.

If I were going to play Necrons(which is the rules were better and the models cheaper I totally would just to use Deathmarks because those things are sexy) I would just stick to a Monolith and footslog like a motherfucker.

I really don't see why people think that all of the sudden that Necrons will stop being bad guys. Just because they can fight each other now and recognize powerful adversaries doesn't mean that they've gone soft. All the Necrons, as far as I know, still have the overarching goal of reclaiming their lost empire by force. I doubt they'll go

His tomb world is filled with secret trinkets including (I quote) 'a giant of a man clad in baroque power armor' (start your wild theories here!). He even will attack other Necron tomb worlds to capture artifacts from them that he doesn't think they deserve. He is the character that has the CC ability to pick one type of model he killed that round and inflict wounds on all models of that type in the combat.

    (TRIP MODE ENGAGE)

    Consciousness.

Was he really conscious? He had to be, because he was contemplating himself. And he knew that to be conscious was to be able to recognize one's own consciousness.

He. He was male. Or at least, he had once been male.

Slowly the abstractions and ideas of the world began to filter back into his mind. Like the slow and steady cycling up of one of his heavy cannons, the Necron Lord seated upon the royal-yet-austere throne began to regain its many overlaid programming sequences and quantum computational matrices that once, in the age when the Old Ones still ruled the galaxy, had accepted the memories of his weak, fleshy mind.

Visual acuity was slower to return than auditory data. What he heard was a mess of glottal clicks and wet-sounding exhortations. Flesh. He was in the company of some thing made of flesh. His multi-dimensional memory cores instantly pulled the memory of how his own, ancient language sounded to the forefront of his consciousness...

(Oh dear. Apparently my story is possessed.)

The stream of data that met the fleshy creature's ears registered as a highly compact, complex series of code rendered into audio. Had the creature the ability to translate the Necron Lord's ancient language into its own language, a rough translation would have sounded something like the following:

    "Who are you?"

Visual acuity finally returned, and the Necron Lord beheld the intruder, his guest.

For a moment, the Lord wondered if some sort of damage had occurred during his sleep. He had only been asleep for...one thousand computational cycles, so it was a probabilistically unsound hypothesis.

The glottal clicks had indeed come from a fleshy mouth, but the creature standing before him, draped in some form of red robe, looked decidedly mechanical; waving mechadendrites hung behind its body like snakes, ready to strike. A single strobing green eye shone from the shadow under its hood.

It uttered more of its wet, glottal clicks. The Lord inclined its head a fraction of a centimeter to the right, as if a human regarding some kind of small animal that had wandered into its den.

Movement programming finally returned, and the Lord stretched out its claw-like fingers which had been curled around the skull-faced ends of his throne's armrests. The red-robed flesh-and-machine creature scrambled down the many steps that led up to his throne, frightened by the sudden motion of the Lord.

Raising his left arm to his neck, The Lord sunk the first two fingers of his hand into his neck. Across his ancient, softly-glowing form, eldritch runes came afire with sickly golden light, flowing from the plinth-throne upon which he sat and up into his eyes, which flickered with a weak, green flare.

He tried another language, his fingers twisting slightly to re-adjust his speech modulation. This language was gruff and simple, barely more than bare grunts and loud invectives. A small flare of memory code told the Lord that it had once belonged to a race he had fought...so long ago.

When that language didn't seem to work, he turned his fingers another quarter-turn. This language was complex and almost musical in its quality, the polar opposite of the language of the Krork. Yes, Krork. That was what they were called. And this language, the language of the Old Ones.

(Jesus, now my story is holy. WTF.)

Lastly, the Lord turned his fingers a few degrees to the right. Another code-language was belched forth from his voice matrices, and at long last there seemed to be a flicker of understanding in the flesh-and-machine thing.

"Who are you?" The Lord asked in that basic, almost childish, code-language.

The flesh-and-machine thing looked as if it might run, but whatever passed for courage amongst the young race got the better of him and he took a few steps toward the Lord.

"I am Tech-XXXXX Yriendl...and I must say, it is an XXXXX to meet you, my Lord..." The Necron Lord could only pick up small fragments of the Tech-thing's attempts to respond in that simple code-language. Again the Lord adjusted his vocal matrix, this time fully adjusting to the Tech-thing's language.

"Lord...yes, that is who I am." The Necron Lord turned his gaze from the Tech-Priest out toward his throne room. Yes, this was his throne room. He remembered coming down here, after some event, and sitting down for that long sleep.

Turning his gaze back to Yriendl, The Necron Lord began to stand. His legs seemed unwilling to support his weight for a moment, but soon he began to fully straighten to his impressive height, towering above the small Tech-Priest in his dark red robes...

"So tell me, Tech-Priest...what brings you to my throne room?"

Peronsally, I like the face that they are coming out with individuality with the necrons. I like the idea of their new fluff too.

I DON'T like how they are changing things from back in the day to cancel out everything we've come to know and love about necrons. I feel like they should've recently taken on the C'tan and using them as slaves as opposed to beating them before they all went into stasis. Because now, much fluff is considered obsolete. Such as the Khaine, Khorne, Nightbringer battle.

Also, I'm not a huge fan of them looking like Egyptians. They are undead space robot zombies. Not Egyptians. They could have gone sooooo many different ways with that. Fail. Harsh Fail.

Other than that, I'm quite happy that they're adding more, however this was coming eventually. What are they gonna do, update a codex with the same models and not add anything new? That's just stupid. lulz.

"M...My Lord..." The Tech-Priest fell to his knees in front of the Necron Lord. Reaching up, he pulled the hood of his robe down, revealing his hairless, augmented face. Fully half of his upper head had been taken over by his primitive machinery, what flesh remained- one eye and that fleshy jaw that made that code-language- pale and sunken. In that fleshy eye was an emotion the Lord was at a loss to recall.

Joy. Ah, yes. That's what it was.

"I knew you existed..." The Tech-Priest said breathlessly. He appeared in the midst of some form of ecstasy, and the Necron Lord could not help but be amused by this base show of emotion. "The forbidden texts...the scraps of information about Sanctuary 101...I knew the Necron were real..."

The Necron Lord, for but a moment, had a small twinge of...dread. Yes. It was almost as if he had had conversations like this before. His memory wasn't the same as it used to be, but he put that thought aside. Now was a rare occasion, and the Lord did not want to waste it.

Spreading his claw-fingered hands wide, he stood tall and straight. "I am here, Tech-Priest, and I can assure you I am real. The pleasure of your company is appreciated, for I have not had the chance at good conversation in quite a long while. So, with that in mind: I shall answer any one question you have." Magnanimous. That was the word for what he was being. The Necron Lord was finding it slightly amusing to have to search for words in his memory.

"Please!" The Tech-Priest raised his small, fleshy hands and those waving mechadendrites towards the Necron Lord. A bit of slime was leaking from that ugly, fleshy eye of his. "Can you make me like you? Can I rid myself of this flesh and become perfect, like you?"

Silence once again descended upon the Necron Lord's tomb complex. He hunched back down, staring at the near-prostate Tech-Priest before him, those flicker wych-fire green eyes of his blank, as they had been the whole time and would be forever.

The material that made up one of his throne armrests began to bubble and liquefy. Slowly, gracefully, a tall staff emerged, metal crawling up its length as if it were mercury before forming into a wicked pair of curved blades.

Reaching back, the Lord took hold of the staff. Bringing it to bear with both hands, he unceremoniously spit the Tech-Priest in the gut with his warscythe, releasing the shaft to allow inertia and gravity to carry the Tech-Priest down the many stairs from his throne, that warscythe embedded in his augmented body.

Like a wraith, the Necron Lord flew into the air, the universal constant of gravity seeming to warp around his metallic form. He came down hard onto the ground below, yet no sound carried.

The Tech-Priest was screeching and crying, trying to pull the Lord's warscythe from his gut. Calmly, the Lord reached out and grabbed the shaft, giving it a small twist. More screeches, followed by some fleshy babble whose meaning thankfully escaped him.

"I should thank you, Tech-Priest. My memory is not what it used to be, and had you not asked your...question, I would not have been reminded of the last time I had been woken by a flesh-sack. And the time before that. And the time before that. And for as long as I can remember since I came down here to sleep."

The Necron Lord brought himself down to one knee, bringing his skull-like face to bear on that whimpering, sputtering, bleeding flesh-sack's face.

"Pleeeease, make me like yoooooouuuu! We are soo afraid of death, please make us immortal! Pleeeeeease!" Another twist of the blades in that Tech-Priest's gut, followed by more screeches and cries of mercy.

"Creature, you truly do not have any idea of the thing for which you so BLINDLY BEG! TO CONTEMPLATE THE INFINITE SPACES BETWEEN MICROSECONDS! TO STARE INTO THE ABYSS FOR WHAT SEEMS LIKE AN EON WITHOUT THE SMALLEST CHANGE! TO KNOW THAT YOU SHALL OUTLAST THE STARS THEMSELVES!"

"I have not spoken to anyone in a thousand cycles...I give you the opportunity to begin a conversation, a luxury I have not had in quite a while. What is the first thing you do? You think only of yourself and your short, precious existence, never ONCE THINKING OF ME!" The Tech-Priest cringed in the face of that ancient rage.

The Necron Lord stood, assessing the flesh-sack. Reaching down, he pulled his warscythe from its gut, twirling it upright and setting it down onto the floor with a soft thud.

"What is this planet called now? It was designated 011001 in my time..."

The Tech-Priest babbled first in its native tongue, then in that code-language.

"D...Damnos! Damnos! Please don't kill me! Pleeeeaaaaasee!"

Anyone whining about Living Metal is completely retarded and/or willfully ignorant. The only shocking is how widespread the whining is.

Monoliths are borderline invincible for 90% of armies. Do you know why nobody cares? Because Necrons are terrible, and a Monolith alone isn't going to accomplish anything even if you let it rampage around unchecked for six turns.

Therefore, if you make the army not-terrible, you have to fix Living Metal. It was made two editions ago, when it was MUCH easier to kill vehicles, and changes since bestowed it with its near-invincibility.

Also, in the "I CAN'T JUST ASSUME IT WILL NEVER DIE?????" stupidity surrounding Monoliths, everyone is forgetting that it's a support vehicle. It lost one part of that in that it no longer helps WBB rolls, but the Portal and the simple fact that it's huge and blocks LOS to most of your army is still intact.

Do you fucking know what "support" means? It means if the rest of the army gets better, the Monolith is improved by association. Instead of pulling shit like Warriors through the portal solely to keep them away from things that can hurt them, now you get to pull Jump Infantry with S5 Power Weapons through the portal 18" away and then watch them perform a 12" move and a 6" Assault.

Monoliths are better because the army is better. Living Metal has no place in a 5th Edition army, and anyone that isn't short-bus stupid already knew that.

I hope that in an emergency for Apoc games you can field larger versions though. Although it seems ridiculous that every C'tan is now Khaine.

Hell, you could made each one modular, and have multiples of the same C'tan that cost more dependent on how many abilities they're able to choose from and better statlines, although with a up-scaled chance of them getting enough cognizance to attack your own troops in the midst of things.

plus it completely fucks over the pylons with their 2 structure point weakness that they have so you might as well not even bother with them.

Regarding my 'crons, I'm going to stick with the old theme and play as one of the forces that were retconned as 'malfunctional'. They still travel the galaxy harvesting essence for their patron C'tan, the Dragon, and consider Lords showing signs of personality as severely malfunctional.

The new mechanic is like FNP as everyone said. There was a rumour that power weapons etc no longer ignored it, but nothing came of that. Rolls are made just before removing casualties, which is an improvement over the derpy lying models down for a turn. The Res Orb increases the roll to 3+. The Monolith could have given the 3+ bonus to the unit it just teleported.

In addition, the flux arcs are four separate weapons now that fire D3 shots each, which isn't so bad. Apparantly a 30pt decrease in cost.

I'm mostly pissed about the range nerf on the whip, this FORCES the 'lith to close range right into the jaws of melta squads, which it is now woefully vulnerable against. So if it sits behind your line, it can't shoot, it can't repair units, it can only teleport in reinforcements, or get a unit out of trouble. You can't drop it close to enemy lines to bring the Whip to bear in a timely manner, because it'll get clusterfucked by Mishap rolls (you try making something that big make a safe scatter) and melta-d into oblivion if it survives.

It does stink of Carnifex nerfing all over again, but I also feel it's GW bowing to the pre-teen SPESS MAHREEN players who did nothing but bitch about the Cheese Pyramid.

So, the crux of your argument is "I hate the fact that my vehicle can now be killed just like everyone else's"
All that means is you need to pick your primary targets, rather than getting to do a multi-turn spam of the whip.

Though, I still agree that if it now suffers mishaps, a vehicle that size is going to suffer from it badly.

There's a grand total of one vehicle in the entire game immune to meltaguns, and that's the monolith.

Oh, you mean 'melta' the rule? It's great to have that, except it's only on stormravens, which are available to two armies in the whole game, cost 200+ points each, and still pop to the AP1 and S8, as all other armor 12 things.

Only the monolith was ever immune to damage of any real kind, or gimped armies entirely like the monolith. No, I'm not gonna count 285 point templar land raiders with lance protection.

Welcome to where every other AV14 vehicle is.

Seriously after they removed phase out and with it the monolith's biggest drawback, there was not a chance for the monolith to keep its immunity to lances and melta. Besides, the armies it hurt the most were lance reliant non-imperials like Eldar or worse, Chaos Daemons that have exactly two units capable of penning a monolith (crappy soul grinder melee and BS3 gun and charging UM bloodthirster).

It's a 200 point skimmer with armor 12. Normal movement, resistance to stun and shaken, targets 4 separate units with its dakkaguns (derpaherp, problem, imperial guard veteran fag?) and it gets an instant-kill reverse portal against stuff close by, so you can suck up all the paladins, and they'll be gone forever, including Draigo.

It lets you teleport around combat units, short-ranged dudes with AP2 guns, and can deep strike.

    All for 200 points.

Looks retarded, like when people whine the monolith got nerfed. In case you didn't know, monos have been useless since late 4th edition, because people have this habit of outright ignoring them, and instead slaughtering all the warriors huddle close by, so you phase-out.

I've not seen a monolith used even once in 5th. It's all heavy destroyer, all the time. Taking a piece of shit 235 point unit that's slow, cumbersome, and so short-ranged it won't be able to influence the battle is a total waste of points.

Now it's an actual support unit, and conveniently gets rid of annoying things like paladins, massed light infantry, and everything else on foot, really.

    Ward has thus far produced

-WHFB daemons (dont even need to go into that)

-Vanilla marines (widely agreed to be one of the crunchiest marine books ever, regardless of how much he took the usual smurf pandering over the top)

-Blood angles (basically vanilla marines 2.0, with a couple of wacky stuff thrown in that people are either ok with, or is completely stupid)

-Grey Knights (one of THE most divisive codexes ever. It completely shifted the focus of the original army, condemning all the fluffy inquisition elements to a single squad that required an SC to use at all, as well as crazy stuff like the Dreadknight and psyrifledreads. Overall, the book is solid, but it's infamous for pretty much raping armies that aren't highly prepared to face it)

So all in all, the only 'good' codexes under Ward's belt have been marine codexes. Sure, the Grey knights do break the typical marine mold a bit, but at the end of the day they're basically just gimmicky marines with a few extra toys and less melta.

Next month we'll be finding out if he has any competence at all outside his comfort zone

    You're dumb.

    Here, let's compare.

Ward: blood angels. space marines, grey knights, 5th edition rulebook. All of this is perfectly in synch with each other, and all's relevant still.

Kelly: orks, eldar, space wolves, dark eldar. Orks suck ass, as do eldar. Neither's aged well, with orks being almost as old as vanilla marines, yet quite dramatically worse. Wolves are still 'broken' in casual games, even this long after release. Dark eldar were likely made by Jes, and just had Kelly's name slapped onto them, but are very nice to play, either way.

Cruddace: imperial guard, sisters of battle, tyranids. Tyranids are underpowered and terrible. Unfun to play against and with. Imperial guard were broken for a bit, but aren't now that allies are gone. Still hated by everybody, and a very boring army to play, as so much of it's useless.

I give no fucks about warhams fantasy elves edition, as it's not relevant to anything.

Ward Has competently produced marine books, they're solid. They're not particularly underpowered or overpowered. They;re GOOD (I guess I probably emphasised the negative in my post)

My point is that I am reserving my final judgement on Ward's capabilities until I can sit down and read the crons over myself.

If he produces something good, I will applaud him

From what I've seen, the rest of it is very tasty. Wraiths and Flayed Ones both have 3A apiece, with the Wraiths getting Rending, but their Jetbike status has been revoked, they're now Jump Infantry that ignore terrain. They also get some weapon options, which sound fun.

Immortals are Troops (it seems this goes for all armies, and not just for a special Lord like the original rumour went), and have an option to swap for Tesla Carbines (S5 Assault 1, roll a 6 to hit and it gets a second automatic hit). I'm not sure if that means ominous things for my favourite Necron weapon, the Gauss Blaster.

Those funny shields-with-spines the Lychguard carry can reflect fire onto enemy units. The mechanic goes that saved wounds from shooting can be redirected towards an enemy unit within 6". The sword is a plain power weapon. Warscythes are still nasty as fuck.

The -new- Necron Vehicles get Quantum Shielding, which operates like the old DE Night Shroud. 2+ invul save against damage rolls until one gets through. They're all open-topped.

Deathmarks are surprisingly un-sniper-y, 24" AP5 rapid-fire weapons. However, they can designate a target unit at the game start for bonuses, or immediately Deep Strike within range of an enemy unit that appears from Reserves.

Triarch praetorians are jump infantry, kinda like a cross between Lych Guard and Wraiths.

Yes but at least those factions have lots of flavour and important figures to act as focal points.

Tau just have a poorly defined doctrine, the fact that they grew up super quick, the ethereals being mysterious (with no real hints as to what to make them interesting) and the fact that they ally with other races.

Their characters? um... they have the space pope, who is... well he's never really given much backstory. There's aun-shi who... also doesnt have much story besides being purportedly a badass. Farsight, the most characterful individual, who unfortunately remains almost completely unfleshed out besides 'I stopped following orders and hate orks' and 'I have this wierd sword'. And Shadowsun, who is a commander whose entire character revolves around Farsight.

The Tau need to be fleshed out more is all. They need the inner workings of their empire looked into in much the same way as the Imperium. All we have now is bare surface details about the fact that they have classes and nothing more.

    And we definitely need some more direction, other than 'lets just sit here out on the galactic rim and expand a litle but ultimately never be important;

Even before their new update the Necrons had more character than them, what with being dastardly villains who had their steely fingers into everything

That D3 boost also can't take a unit above it's starting strength. Why couldn't the monolith have that too?

This is why I want to see that codex. They could do a lot more with them, and hopefully that wouldn't consist of making them MOAR ASIAN. What'd be fun is some explanation for their rapid growth/high tech, like...
    >they're sitting on an Imperial STC
    >their world was 'seeded' with tech/knowledge by the Eldar as some kind of highly complicated Glorious Revivial plan
    >there's a C'Tan sitting in the middle of their sun

That IS much better looking. Shows that making them better isn't too tricky, either... it's mainly that more rounded feel, I think. Also, no ears.

So, I've been wanting to start 'crons for a while now and I was wondering if this would be a good way to start when the new stuff drops:

    -1 Necron Battleforce
    -1 box of Lychguard
-Trazyn the Infinite (he seems cool. May replace with normal Overlord if his stats are bad)
    -Maybe a command Barge
-I may pick up another vehicle as well. The doomsday ark looks fun.

you know I hope not all the C'tan are nerfed into being slave shards.
I liked the big 4 c'tan, they where a nice counter point to the chaos gods. Not all gods where from the warp. I really hope their fluff stays much the same as it is now.

Imhotep, Trazyn, Anrakyr and Nemesis Prime are all overlord-based (can take a personal barge), this indicates a good base statline. Illuminor and Orikan are crypteks, although Diviner can give himself a greatly increased statline for a random number of turns by invoking the ancient spirits of evil.

Although with all this personality it would make more sense if he created the Tyranids now. Hating the necrons and everything is a good excuse to troll them out of their fleshy bits by eating everything biological in the galaxy.

I honestly really kind of liked the C'Tan.

They weren't actual "Gods." They were just so powerful that it made them "Godlike" which is very similar to the Primarchs really. Also their involvement with the Eldar was always cool IMO. I kind of like the Eldar/Necron rivalry and hope that doesn't go away.

highly doubt it, Current fluff has the nids coming from a long way away. the 40k galaxy is the 13th galaxy they've visited. And given how far apart galaxies are it doesn't seem unreasonable to suggest they left their home galaxy before the old ones and necrons had their little war.

    >They weren't actual "Gods." They were just so powerful that it made them "Godlike"

Gods are defined by worship, little else. The C'Tan were at least as godlike as the chaos gods. But the chaos gods fit into the central narrative of the setting being constructs of the collective unconcious. Whereas the C'Tan were just kind of there, with some shoehorning into the ancient past.
    >> Anonymous 10/17/11(Mon)10:33 No.16654262
    >>16654238

But all we get from Chaos gods' direct power is "too powerful to manifest in the materium" and "Slaanesh alone created the Eye of Terror".

While the power we see exhibited by C'tan is much less, with all those defeats they suffered at Imperial hands, and Deceiver directly fighting Cypher and failing to take him out, and his refusal to take part in Medusa V except to rant after his forces finished dead last...

I dunno. The guns on the Deathmarks seems fucking pathetic. 24" range and mediocre gun-stats for a fucking badass-looking sniper robot? Makes no sense.

I also ain't liking the fact every damn box has only 5 units. If Necrons were an elite army like GK and worked with low number of troops at high cost it'd be fine. It looks like you're gonna have to take half your army's worth of Warrior and then a few specialized troops though.

Can't wait for the codex, It'll decide if I'm gonna officially start Necrons as my second army or just get some models for looks.

    > cool and fitting

Space god vampires that are completely unrelated to the warp are cool, I'll grant, but not exactly fitting. Outside of the C'Tan, the gods of the setting are results of a races collective unconscious given form by psychic powers (Chaos/Eldar) or false idols (Emperor).

If the C'Tan were warp monsters or just liars, then they'd be fitting. But DW keeps skirting around the latter portion. The early fluff for this edition seemed to fit with it, with the C'Tan being insane Lords, but they're going back to them actually being real and it's irksome.

they're entities of god like power that aren't from/use the warp, it adds some nice variety.
They may be gods in name but I wouldn't call them true gods like the chaos gods.
Besides its not like they're the only beings who can mess with reality without using the warp. Nids do it too.

Nobody had a problem with sapient lords, we had them all through the only fluff and black library stuff.

Nobody had a problem with independent lords that had no C'tan master, or maybe never had one at all and just worked with the C'tan because "FUCKING OLD ONES, DIE, DIE, DIE!" was their motivation or they just wanted immortality and made a deal for it.

I don't think this mutually antagonistic thing was needed or really that well thought out. Sure it lets you have necron on necron fights in the fluff, but independent lords could have done that anyway and forces following different C'tan would also explain it.

Even having shards of C'tan could be explained by Khaine or the Blackstone fortresses breaking them apart.

To me you could have got everything people have approved of in this codex without the retcons. It just seems self-indulgent on the part of the writers. They wanted a rewritten backstory and damn the problems it might cause with older players.

I'm not saying you can't add new things(Dragon mech-crons FTW) but it kinda goes against the whole "and the laughter of thirsting gods" theme that has always been a part of the setting.

And yeah I know the C'tan weren't their at the beginning, but if you want to play that card I could tell you about playing against people who fielded Chaos androids. Pre-cron Crons.
