As of last thread we were offered a pretty sweet new mission.

Your Father gives you a smile and says, "Sure, kiddo, I'll be happy to let you go ahead on this mission. I WAS going to teach you some pretty impressive Hyuuga technique that I developed myself, but if you're in such a rush, I can sign you to go ahead if you want." he teases you with a laugh.

    >teach you some pretty impressive Hyuuga technique that I developed myself, but if you're in such a rush
"Hahaha..okay, Father, you know me too well."

New techniques are always good, and we'll probably need them if we're going to be soloing all of our upcoming fights.

He smiles at you and stands up. Breathing deeply for a few seconds he suddenly thrusts his arms forward, wrists touching one another as you see two muscle arms of chakra reaching out from his ribs and smashing into the waterfall. "This is the Gentle Steel Fist." He says proudly and you can see the sweat beads on his forehead. "With the power of hard Taijutsu and the chakra destruction of our style, I have only begun to work on it, but it is the perfect martial art."

You feel your chakra system expanding to allow for what you're asking of it. But when you do it, a cry of determination at your lips, four arms reach out and blast the water straight apart, knocking it all the way to the land, a good fifteen meters away in a single blow. You already have doubled your father's progress, but your chakra has dropped hugely. (Back to 1)

You read over the dossier and the exact mission's orders are to "free the Land of Fire from the grip of those who oppress it." it's clearly written by some diplomat or nobleman or something, some fool in a silly hat who doesn't understand how the world works.

Regardless, you are eager to do it and your father signs you off and bids you farewell. You pack adequately and set foot away from the campus, where do you want to go?

I suppose the first thing we should do is head for areas known for bandit activity.
Bandits should be easier to take out than the organized samurai.
    >> KumaSennin !!hAxKShXKS9j 11/20/11(Sun)04:48 No.16969423
    >>16969399

There are a few cells of known bandits that haven't been cleared out by shinobi cells. One such area is fairly close by and should be fairly simple to at least break apart.

You make your way to the cave and find, however, that someone beat you to your collar. Five bandits are all pinned to the stone wall with a long spear, a single gigantic spear. This is quite a grizzly sight.

    >>16969399
Agreed we should also try and gather information from friendly sources such as the senju as we go. Tea houses are likely to have a knowledgeable patron or two for when we need local information. We shouldn't just aimlessly go about waiting to be attacked. We need to locate strong holds and clear them out.
    >> Anonymous 11/20/11(Sun)04:51 No.16969437
    >>16969423
Any chakra residue on the spear, or indications that it belongs to a shinobi clan?
Also investigate the cave and see if there are indications of who did this.

If nothing else is found, we need to gather information at the national level on bandit activity, then got to the local level to find bandit strongholds and such.

See if the spears owner is still around. If not see if we can't locate any information that may prove useful to us (such as the name of some of the bandit's contacts or information that could lead to an undiscovered hideout).

The spears are cold, both literally and figuratively. The cave itself is empty save for the clothing that litters the floor. Whoever committed these crimes is long since gone and was very effective in their work. However, you do notice one thing of interest. The spear's wood is yew, a wood that doesn't grow in the Land of Fire. You'd place it more from the Land of Water or Lightning.

Perhaps we should take the spear to the Senjuu to see if they can place its origins. They have a lot of dealings at the international level.

Then lets dim our chakra and quickly heat to the next location we should go so we can free the Land of Fire from the grip of those who oppress it. Note: We should use this blanket order to kill any clan that might become a problem. Maybe even find a way to use this order to get our family into the Main clan.

An idea came to me: if we can't find a psychiatrist to provide Inari with therapy, perhaps the Yamanaka's can help.
We know that they're allied with the Senjuu, and that they have highly-developed mind genjutsu's from that battle we were at a few years back.

Would you describe the dead men as run of the mill highwaymen or are they actual shinobi? The bingo book does not exist as of yet and neither does the proper designation of a rouge shinobi as missing nin. We should be able to make an educated guess on how powerful or skilled the killer(s) are based on the victims: It's relatively easy to line up five mooks and kill them with one spear, the same cannot be said for five trained shinobi unless they were caught completely off guard.

You really aren't trained in the use of sealing tech or scrolls, you don't even have one on you or know where you could acquire one.

No kekkei genkai evidence in the shinobi, thankfully. They appear to just be four regular men and a woman. Measuring the spear it's roughly twelve or thirteen feet long in just the shaft, the head is buried into the cave, but you would guess it's also quite large.

The only way to get it out of the wall would be to collapse the surrounding stone around the spear and cause its mooring to come loose.

They do mention someone. A huge man with a shock of red hair, not common in the area, passed by two days ago. The most notable feature of him was his quiet and grim demeanor and his massive ox-like musculature. They indicate that he was heading towards the southern coast of the Land of Fire. He was unarmed.

You proceed and come across a group of shinobi which you scan and recognize as Uchiha on patrol. There appear to be about three of them, an adult woman and three boys, maybe her children or her cousins.

She is either tsundere (which usually means happy end), either yandere (which means we are deep in shit). Actually, i kind of understand why she hates us so much. We just played a white knight for some time, and then left, without saying another word. A fair maiden would be offended. But I would suggest to get along with her, because we will get a cute (and overpowered Uchiha) waifu, and some credit for taming a while beast. Also we can always go blasting our chakra right and left, raping everything that moves before we die.

But as you read the note you hear it suddenly start to fizz and you see that on the backside it's an explosive tag. You hurl it away from you just as it goes off and sprays hot smoke over you, thankfully you are unharmed.

The Manji Valley is to the farthest north border of the Land of Fire, near the Land of Rice Patties. It's a massive waterfall with a huge water basin beneath it.

You realize that since you have been living among the Clan the only money you have is about 25 ryo from various and sundry sources. That's barely enough to buy the nice lunch you are going to purchase for her. So, you'll have to make do with what you have.

You return home, after trouncing a few more bandits and looting them for their valuables. You scavenge through your wears before your Father appears behind you with a very expensive looking dress outfit, "This is what I wore when I used to look nice. I had a feeling this is what you're wanting?" He asked and smiled, the clean white outfit with blue lining playing well with your violet eyes and dark hair. It seems to be just about your size too.

After dressing up and heading towards the Valley you stop just short of there to find a restaurant, bought some food to go, and then arrive at your destination.

The waterfall is nestled between two massive slabs of stone on either side, the basin beneath it very calm and very deep it seems. As you near you see a large floating wooden raft with a cloth laid out across it. This appears to be where Inari wanted to meet you.

The sound of something mechanical moving fills the air as you try to see what's happening two long towers appear out of the water and shoot needles, all of them hitting above the knees, elbows, wrists, and beneath the neck. Your head is the only part unaffected, the rest of you is completely locked down and can't use chakra.

Out of the water climbs Inari who smiles at you, completely dry in a gorgeous red kimono, cut short around the thighs as she shakes her long curly black hair and sits down in front of you, legs stretched out as she winks, "Good evening, my dear. You look very nice."

As your mind flickers to the Earth girl you don't see any sort of reaction, maybe she can read minds, maybe she can't. Regardless, she is composed and very elegant, very refined looking. She learned, somewhere, how to be like this.

The meal goes on until the both of you are done eating. Afterwards she takes your box and washes it out in the basin, as she does hers and looks at you, "It's nice to be able to be with you again, every once in a while, Shigen. I'm afraid we're running out of time, but next time, let's have some sake ok? I want to drink with the man I love." She says, the first time she's ever said it as she flushes dark red and leans in, giving you a hard kiss and then slides a needle into your neck, causing your whole body to lock up and your eyes to swim. "Good bye my darling." She says, "For now." As she walks off the raft she puts her hands together and the water around the raft explodes violently, rocking the raft and when the water clears she's long gone. The needles slowly slither their way out of your skin and fall to the raft slowly and steadily. In about five minutes you're all freed again.

You return home, thank your Father, and redress for battle. As you make for the door you collapse backwards onto your mat, your head swimming again as you feel slightly ill. Maybe you ate something bad...but you feel tired and weak...the mission can continue.

You gather about seven of the ten needles, more than enough for a steady sample, and put them in a box at home. Additionally, once you check your body, you can't see if any chakra was applied, the paralysis having lasted long enough for your own chakra to flush any external chakra out, and even your Byakugan can't sense anything.

    Exactly.
    >>16986381
Sorry, I am a little bit over reactive, but what am i trying to say, that we should outyandere her, to show how we feel, of course try to do it in a playful way, and to not cause more harm, than she caused to us. As if the Hyuuga Prodigy has gone crazy.

presumeably away from prying eyes so as not to ruin our image?

I still don't think that's a good idea. she likes us because we're a white knight, a good guy, keep to our morale compass. I think trying to out-yandere her would backfire and we'd wind up with a scorned woman.

Therefore, as you said we are "cool professionals", but with all that chakra blows and constant teasing of a mad girl, even the calmest of seas will throw a storm. We've been calm for too long. It's time too show others, that Hyuuga don't attack, because they are too powerful for others too handle.

I see your point, but as I see the situation, she not only sees us as a white knight, but also thinks that she thinks that we left her, and tried to stay away from her. Also, with all that Madara's relative thing going on, we better show ourselves crazy. I don't suggest running missing nins, but we should fix that.
Also, I really hope for the HAPPY ending with Inari. Not all that angst and derpdark.

And I'm trying to spice things a little bit up. Do you remember the times, when we sawed through Raikage? We were badass (in that company). Also, we are trying to play NG or LG character, how about playing CG one? A character, that has good intentions, but some bad outcomes?

I'd still rather take a more passive approach. I honestly don't think we'd be able to get her in any position where she's the submissive one, if her trend of running when we see and pursue her continues. That's the biggest hurdle right there honestly

Sawing through the Raikage with Shimaru was the result of planning and the luck of Gen providing a Wind Chakra Seal.
Shingen may be less uptight and professional-obsessed compared to Shimaru, but he's still a genius that thinks things through.

I am against playing CG charachter, but I think before we call ourselves "crazy", we should get enough power to blast a giant hole with raw chakra, as our grand-grand-grand-somewho did.

But aren't we the planning one? We are geniuses! We should probably put her in situations where she CAN'T run or she doesn't WANT to run. That is the first step of leading her into submissiveness. It's like "Oh, I hate this, but i have to do this! Wait, is this that bad?" But the main issue is, we don't have enough power.

But isn't he a child though? With all that emotions and teenager stubbornness flowing in him? We made a lot of mistakes and were stricken with bad luck lately, why don't we go deeper in our childish game? First of all, we had to take another mission or meet with Earth-girl, instead of chasing a running-maniac-nin

Of course, my dear friend! First we should plow the land with power, before planting the seeds of madness.
(I promise, that would not become "HERP DERP I AM GOING TO KILL MY BROTHER" madness or "HERP DERP I WANT TO CONQUER THE WORLD" madness. Everything is simple - gaining power for having power.)

We need to outwardly resemble the hero-image of us that Inari has, to keep her from going any crazier than she already is. Or having a complete psychotic break and killing us, which given her abilities she has a very good chance of doing.

But if being true, I don't think that she thinks of us as of a white knight anymore. Because, didn't she capture us the first time, because we left her? (kind of). Basically, I think that Inari before our training and now are two different people, we can continue to play white knight and gentleman around her, but wouldn't "You know, you are %already dead% in my control now" be more fun and original?

"Yeah, she once trapped me in a cage of bugs until I agreed to go out on a date with her. She was very pretty, so it wasn't the worst fate in the world, but still..." He said, though you could see a bit of a smile at the curve of his lips, "She was....really something else." The man told you, and you could see in his actions and words that he regretted his decision.

He said sadly, clearly a sensitive topic as he apparently regretted his vicious words, "I shouldn't have been like that." He said, looking out the room and seeing his wife pass he leaned close and said, "Nephew...don't let this get away from you."
