    308 KB Quest- The Formless Nowhereman !!axso+Og9by5 01/11/12(Wed)23:17 No.17509751
You wake up naked and face down in your cell in an ocean of excruciating pain. You must have passed out during while they were experimenting on you, a mercy since Dr. Von Braun doesn't waste anesthesia on his 'patients'. You try to roll over onto your side, but pain shoots through every inch of your body like an electrical current. Your cries of pain almost seem to echo in your tiny cell. The freezing concrete floor dulls the pain wherever it touches your skin.

How long were you in Dr. Von Braun's lab? How long did they torture you? Hours? Days? Weeks? It's impossible to be sure. You can still see the bastard's blue eyes behind his surgical mask. The searing cold of his scalpel against your naked flesh.

Despite the pain, you roll onto your stomach to vomit. Nothing but dry heaves, it's been too long since your last meal.

You bring your skeletal hand across the floor to rub the tears from your eyes. You notice that the index finger on your right hand is missing. No bloody wound or stump, it is as though it had never been there.

As you ponder over your missing digit, something very strange happens. Before your very eyes, a toe like protrusion begins to grow out of the place where your index finger once belonged.

You begin to coax the growth. Willing it to elongate. It seems to respond, and it grows faster until the digit is restored. You wiggle your newly formed index finger. Did this truly happen, or is this the product of a broken mind?

With great effort, you sit up and inspect your hand. You begin to concentrate again and to your surprise a second bump appears next to your pinkie finger. Soon enough, you find that you have six fingers on your right hand. Then seven. Then eight.

You withdraw the superfluous digits back into your flesh and turn over your arm to inspect the digits that have been tattooed into your flesh and think.

"What did Dr. Von Braun do to you?"

What is your first course of action?

A desperate thought goes through your head. Could you possibly be able to collapse your body to squeeze through the window? You face the small opening and tense your muscles.

You can feel your innards constricting and squeezing together. Your bones begin to pop out of place. It all sounds very unpleasant, but you don't feel any pain at all. Try as you might, it does not appear that you can physically shrink in size, but with the right amount of manipulating, you just might be able to squeeze through the small window.

You approach the window. Your innards constrict once more and you slowly begin to squeeze your head through. Cautiously you protrude your head through the impossibly small opening and look around. It's a narrow alleyway littered with rubbish. The building immediately across the way is a two story affair. There is a single wooden door a few yards from you and several windows guarded by iron bars. To the left is the prison yard, you can see gaunt internees shuffling about beyond a barbed wire fence. To the right is a high wall made of solid concrete. The barbed wire across the top is surely electrified.

    Rolled 209

Without a sound, you grab the Nazi by the neck and squeeze your fingers digging into his throat rendering him mute immediately. He goes limp almost immediately, but he is still quite alive.

You cut the unconscious man open and consume his non-essential innards until he appears as gaunt as you were when you escaped from your cell. Looking upon your grisly work with grim satisfaction, you take pieces of your own flesh and begin to attach it to the unconscious man. Hopefully, if your impromptu cosmetic surgery goes as play, this man will make an excellent decoy as you plan your escape.

    Roll 1d100

If the sum of the first three rolls is greater than 100, the Nazi soldiers will believe that this man is you. If greater than 150, the doctors will believe that this man is you. If greater than 250 even Von Braun himself will not recognize your ruse until the autopsy.

A slow and deliberate and voice permeates the entire camp across the PA. The speaker is talking in your native Polish, cold and detached with a distinct German accent. You recognize the voice immediately, and it sends a chill down your spine. It is Dr. Von Braun.

"17509751. Your attempt to escape is entirely futile. One dozen of your comrades will die because of your foolishness. And for every hour that you elude us, a dozen more shall die."

You hear another gunshot. There isn't any time to waste. Perhaps you are not unique, there might be others within the camp with strange abilities. Feeling emboldened by your disguise you exit the German barrack through the front entrance. The guard at the door salutes you as you pass.

The expanse of the prison yard lies directly in front of you through a barbed wire gate. Thousands of internees have been gathered together in a terrified mass, like an army of shivering skeletons under the hawk-like gaze of no less than four machine gun towers placed at the four corners of the yard. A pitiful handful of prisoners have been set apart from the crowd, held in a line at bayonet-point by German soldiers. At the command of an officer, another prisoner is gunned down in front of the disparate crowd.

To the south is the infirmary from which you just escaped and the factory where the prisoners assemble the vehicles of the Nazi war machine. To the north is a row of barracks similar to the ones you just escaped from with the armory at far northeast corner of the camp. You can see the prisoners quarters at the far west of the camp, a meager collection of hastily thrown together tents and shacks.

Check to see how well camouflaged we can make ourselves, and if we can somehow cushion our footsteps. If we can also extrude a blade of bone, it would be useful. Proceed to kill the machine gun operators one by one, silently, then cause some kind of distraction to throw the executioners off guard. After that, not sure.

Smoke is billowing from the infirmary chimneys, they must be burning bodies in the crematorium.

The infirmary seems to be on lockdown. No less than a dozen soldiers armed with machine guns stand guard at the door. Two more armed soldiers are marching the perimeter of the building. It'll only be a matter of time before they find the bloody mess you left in the alleyway.

Another prisoner is gunned down. Now only four remain in the line.

    >>17519006

You decide that your guise as a German officer is camouflage enough and you take a closer look at the machine gun towers.

The towers are made of steel scaffolding, and two guards are positioned at each one. One soldier is at the trigger of a machine gun and the other clutches a high powered rifle. Even with your abilities it would be difficult to scale them unnoticed, especially with the camp on high alert.

You make your way to the factory. The guards at the door salute you as you walk through the garage door. Production seems to have been halted during the lockdown. Dozens of trucks and motorcycles sit unattended in various stages of construction. Four guards march along the empty production lines and four more keep watch on the catwalks suspended above the factory floor. The factory is heavy with the smell of burning metal and diesel fuel. There's no shortage of wrenches, hammers, bolts, torches, and other tools of industry. To your immediate right is the fueling station. A newly made transport truck with a canvas back sits unattended, the fuel line still left in the gas cap.

The grenade explodes. The silo goes up, and half the factory is vaporized in a spectacular fireball. Anybody within one hundred feet of the blast is blown to pieces and flaming shrapnel falls all across the camp. Nearby buildings have windows blown out and the infirmary is set on fire.

The southern perimeter fence around the prison yard is blown over and the guards that aren't killed or wounded are knocked to their feet.

The explosion threw you clear across the factory. You've sustained burns and injuries that would kill any other man, but you slowly piece yourself together.

Suddenly, you hear a unified roar from the yard and you hear machine guns start to fire. It seems the prisoners are taking advantage of the diversion to start a riot.

Try to rally the prisoners to not escape but to take the armory and free the other prisoners. Unarmed, tired, hungry and weak in the forest you will easy prey for the nazi search parties. But if you kill them all it will take time for reinforcements to arrive, you will have supplies and weapons and time.

You pick up the rifle. Between what was left in the gun and the remains of the German you have 9 shots left. You used to shoot at cans when you were younger, but your marksmanship is only really effective at 50 yards or less. The scope will improve your aim but don't count on your luck.

Your luger was lost in the factory explosion and your wallets and clothes were disintegrated by the fireball.

The camp is a large rectangle with the prison yard in the center. It is surrounded by concrete walls on all sides. The southern end holds the factory and the infirmary, both of which are heavily damaged and are currently on fire. The west side is the prisoner housing, which the inmates have mostly under their control. The east side has the soldier barracks and the armory on the northern end, currently the site of a heavy skirmish. The Nazis seem to be holding their ground. The main gates to the camp lie at the northern perimeter. That is where the administration buildings and the train depot are located. The first reinforcements are likely to arrive by train.

The bullet passes right through the soldier's ears, spraying the sharpshooter with gore. The machine gun in the northwestern tower falls silent.

Without the machine gun to suppress their advance, the prisoners begin to advance up the western wing of the prison. Howevever, the Nazis appear to be pushing back the rebellion on the eastern side of the camp, setting up additional machine guns in the windows of the barracks.

The sharpshooter wipes the brains from the brim of his helmet and turns his attention to your naked form.

Tough call. Change positions and take out the next machine gunner I'd say, but I also wouldn't mind just taking out the next MG right now if nobody else votes.

There's got to be more we can do here. We have amazing shapeshifting powers, and we're just plinking away with a scoped rifle.

Maybe we could create bigger quills, a high-pressure launch system, and an acid payload that can eat through metal. Then we could bring down the guard towers and deal with any vehicles/heavy weapons from a distance.
