The room is a mess, but look like a classic laboratory with a good amount of discarded books, notes left on the ground, rotting food that left an incredibly poignant odor of decay, visibly forcing Sylphis and Athena to pinch they’re nose and grimace in disgust.

Various pages and others miscellaneous items lay discarded on the first big table you see, seem like its pushed on a pillar where the room continue back on the left and right, Avina walk a bit, looking at the most important object in the room, the one that first catches your eyes, some kind of pink, glowing sphere was floating in a slimish, purple substance inside a closed, large object of metal with some windows allowing for the view you see.

Avina slightly clap her hand then look at you and give you a small wink.

‘’Siggy, use your ice to bust that open, I’ll go see if there anything interesting!’’

So she does, Sylphis and Athena seem to prefer to stay at your side, you now realize the Mantis give you a small pat on your shoulder, so you look at her with curiosity.

Still, you hear Athena grunt while she walk around, inspecting the various books and stomping on some piece of rotten meal, the whole area itself is smelling terribly but the worst come from behind the pillar, where Avina disappeared too.

She’s taking a while.

You continue staring at the object for some time; Avina said for you to handle it but… well there has to be a better way than repeating her operation on the door.

Still you prefer to go look at the table for a bit, where a rather large quantity of notes are rendered useless thank to some watery substance that doesn’t seem to have dried up, but it’s impossible to make any damn sense of it all because everything is written in symbols, it’s probably a code.

You peer over some of the notes with more attention, while the majority are pages scribbled hastily, you do see some drawing here and there, all related to the stone itself, all of them are show the stone with some arrows going in it, with waves above and various ``HOW`` written all around.

You hear Athena coming back to your side, probably feeling grumpy from being useless, while Sylphis simply stay stoic and silent.

You rub the bridge of your nose a bit, feeling slightly… heavy headed, this whole hypnosis magic is quite the pain, and the Yukioona still isn’t back.

It’s quite frustrating really; all the notes seem to be made in these symbols, but nothing in them seem to show any immediate danger with forceful removal, maybe that why the door was so big?

You snap back at attention not that, it has been several minutes now.

The two of you gently lay down the container on the ground, making certain one of the windows is on your side, the stone making a bit of a contrast to the substance it’s floating in, the two girls take a step back, allowing you some space while they stay silent.

You exhale gravely, enter Focus and in the very next second, your hand is holding a shard of incredible sharpness, you don’t wait a second and burst the window open, followed by making a quick jump out of the reach of this slime substance and let go of Focus. In the very brief moment you entered it, you felt much more vulnerable to normal to this lingering suggestive magic, it even force you to reform your mental barrier while you feel a pressure on the back of your head.
You then feel a brief tap on your shoulder, Sylphis at your side give you a supportive nod and even a small smile, while Athena is walking to that container where the substance bleed out without a sound, nor any lingering magical energy, the stone slowly come out and float on the ground.

And then Avina come from behind the pillar, looking slightly alarmed, you notice her skin seemed to have turned blue and her hairs are back to a pure white.

You flight a slight buzz in your head as you rub your eyes, then she’s back to a more human form.

‘’Siggy, let’s just take the stone and go to the summoning circles, okay?’’

It couldn’t be that this alchemist project was this simple stone, could it?

You ask, walking toward the substance, poking it slightly with your finger and finally, you pick the stone with your fingers feeling sticky, making you reach from some of the old discarded pages and wipe this stuff. It truly look like the man didn’t think about security at all, than again this college is a pretty big retreat and was full of mages, maybe he didn’t need that much.

The urgency is real and for a very brief second you see her form shift, the color of her skin going back to blue, her hairs going back to white, before the colors shift back to something more human, a quick look to Athena and Sylphis and it seem the two of them missed this very, very brief change.

You look at this small pink sphere in the palm of your hand, first it is very tiny, probably the size of the tip of your little finger and you constantly feel a slight, pumping magic coming from it, but it isn’t emanating anything like any regular mage would, it’s as if the magic contained in it is dormant.

It probably is, you snap back at attention when the Yukioona walk toward you, she give you a sad smile and place a hand on your head, you clearly hear her whisper of ‘’I’m sorry, Siggy’’ then she walk away a bit, obviously waiting for you to accompany her.

You look back behind that pillar, what could possibly be there?

You have a sigh, feeling this constant pressing on your head is quite frustrating, however you look at Sylphis who is at your side, Athena seem to have walked back to the Lady of the Snow.

If its possible to use the stone to help Avina, I vote we do that. As by the sounds of it, if we do not she will disappear. Whether or not we can get her back again I don't know.
If that isn't possible, I guess its to the summoning circle. Though as our summoning is of the slime variety, that may make interactions with humans harder. It's not exactly east to hide a slimes monstrous nature after all.

Part of the reason that this quest has worked so well is because its been turned into what can be pretty much be summed up as gentlemanly adventuring, the decent story posts have most definitely helped though.

I was ready to accept to have this turn into fetishquest when I started really, /tg/ went gentleman and I simply continue to give what everyone seemed to want, of course doing a tale with a FeMC may end up badly but so far, we've been going good.

Still its simply an idea like that, I'll be ready to invest time in doing that, but I could just concentrate on Siegfried until we hit a calm spot.
