It's a huge change of pace from your a-typical sentai. For one I can see a direct flow of events from one episode to the next instead of the usual episodic style interspaced with PLOT arcs. The actions of the command crew and the base staff has been a joy, especially the commander being willing to use the go-busters as a decoy.
