'GIVE ME A MINUTE AND ILL EVEN TELL YOU WHAT HE HAD FOR DINNER.'

"What do you mean he knows we're here?" Erica asks.
"I saw Agent-Rs post on that thread used for the fight earlier. it said CATCH ME IF YOU CAN. He's clearly challenging us." You tell them.
"Challenge accepted then." She grins as she cracks her knuckles.
'OKAY NUMBNUTS. HE LAST HAD A SHRIMP AND CRAB MAYO PIZZA AND THE POST WAS MADE FROM THAT PLACE OVER THERE.'
He indicates a shop with a sign saying [SENTAI CAFE: Secret Base] on it.

there was a good idea that occured to me that i forgot as soon as I saw "new thread" but now i remember.
We should ask Naru/Raymond-san if they can get us some faction neutral clothing/costumes so we don't have to worry about sparking conflict wherever we go.

And it def sounds like Agent R has gone native. time for some EXTREME PREJUDICE.

With your hand hovering over your gun, you walk in.
You find yourselves in a nice clean cafe decorated with all sorts of sentai memorabilia and toys
In one corner near the bar, a complete life-sized robo costume looms.
A girl in a yellow jacket salutes you and says
    "Good work on your mission!"
A group of customers sit at one of the small tables fiddling with a bunch of toys.
Your target isn't in sight, but he could very well be hidden.

"Hi there. Can we do anything for you?"
A lady in a white labcoat asks.

You settle back into the small room you first came into earlier that day.
Naru stands guard outside the door like she said she would.
Your room is the same converted shipping cvontainer as you left it.
The ramen still stacked in the cupboards, the mattresses still thin and ratty.
    There's something new though.
Something that wasnt there when you left earlier.
    Its a large cardboard box.

There were no addresses nor messages on it.
It's just a large cardboard box sitting in the middle of the room.

You head out to check on the prisoner after grabbing everything you might require from the room.
You make your way to the warehouse where the majority of the Ramen-gumi congregates.
"Shogun-sama!" Once again the gathered people kneel at your arrival.
"Where is the prisoner?" You ask them.
"Naru-san has him locked up in the dungeon." They point towards a maintenance closet.
You open it and find another secret passage.
Your group walks it's length until you come upon what looks like a bombshelter protected by a heavy metal door.

    From within you hear voices.
"WHO ARE YOU WORKING FOR?!" Naru shouts in anger.
"Donuts sandwiches ah my buddha!" You hear the voice of the prisoner say defiantly.
You enter without knocking and Naru automatically kneels as you approach.
"What's going on here?" You ask her.
"I have been trying to get information out of him my lord. But he would only speak in Dubs."
    "Dubs?"
"Yes sir. Dubs. That vile atrocity forced upon this pure artform by unworthy foreign devils."

I think part of us being burnt out a little has to do with getting used to the ridiculousness. We've sort of gotten used to the swing of things at the bureau and maybe a little bit of the wonder has worn off. Stuff like the snowberry incident and Illya that comes totally out of left field is part of what I love most about this quest. I'm always looking forward the whatever crazy shit happens next.
I miss the side stories. those were lots of fun to read.
the week off probably has had a culling effect on the number of players.
the limited reloads might also have a bit to do with it. We seem to be a bit more timid about choosing the outlandish/dangerous options believing that eventually our reloads will run out and then we will have started a chain of evens that will bring about the next apocalypse or some such business. example: we haven't had an encounter with Tsukino since before our hell-training with Sagara, no delicious bun buttering or afro-murdering.

I'm not trying to tell you how to run the quest LG, just offering my thoughts on the situation.
I'll spend the next couple days going through the archive and update the to-do list. I like the ideas of opening up a potion business (it'll help pay for the house) and for basically becoming a pokemon trainer in terms of familiars, although i think we'll have problems managing that properly until our business with A-tan is sorted out and we no longer have that majaik drain problem.
Has anyone got a list of the CAPITALIZED words to remember?

I personally like the limited reloads.
It's a hard and highly visible reminder that actions and choices have consequences, sometimes permanent ones. It's a little memento mori, and we have to balance our desire to see awesome with preserving Hayate's life.

If they wanted a consequence-free game, they should play a PC game that they can save-scum with.

Still, when we've died via path choice, aside from all but the latest Tsukino-related death, we've known damn well it would go badly for us when it was chosen. Going in the back way with her ? Obviously a bad idea. Tongue in loli butt? Oy, what bait.

This is what I should have said if I'd remembered all of it at the time. Our deaths have been at the whim of the dice not choosing the wrong thing, with knowing exceptions.

Okay, since there are some people here, let's discuss what our plan for tonight should be.

As the Dude pointed out, we have 3 targets and only 2 days with which to track them down.
R's trail in the Red Light District is going to be cold.
We have Naru as a guide, but it's still unknown if she can be trusted.
Should we split up, Hayate and Gai going to the Red Light District after R, and Hina and Erica going to Joe's Bar after Agent M?
    Or stay together?

We're already down a third of our allotted time and we haven't caught any of our 3 targets yet.

I'm always here. Unless I'm asleep, pretty much.

If we split up, I'm inclined to say that it should be us and Erica to the red light district, with Hina and Gai going to the bar. Though, on the other hand, Erica may be better at the bar than Gai would be.

Maybe Erica and Gai to the bar?
Erica won't be immediately pounced upon, if she says that she's cosplaying as a minion of Red Skull, and Gai has his ICE badge, so I doubt anyone would be willing to mess with him.

Bringing either of the girls into the Red Light District strikes me as dangerous, though.

    A. Hina (with a wig) and Gai go to Western Media District and track down M. Erica and Hayate take Naru and go to the Red Light District to track down R.

    B. Hina and Erica go to the Western District for M, Gai and Hayate go to the Red Light District for R.

First, we don't have any actual hats to use.
Second, doing it to a person, simulated or not, isn't cool. Ted and Lo started out as basic combat constructs, and we created personalities for them in the "taming" process. Doing something like that to an existing intelligence is NOT okay.

And what do you think our new family would think if we "hatted" a cute girl?

With our interactions with them, they appear to pass the Turing test.
That gets into murky moral territory when we suborn their primary function and their limited free will.

The Turing Test is bullshit. All it accounts for are clever illusions, which is exactly what these simulations are.

If they are not minor simulations, but actual intelligent constructs, then the Bureau murders them all each time they end the program.

Also, they'd be deliberately creating furries, and exposing people to them. That's even worse than the murder.

That is something I'm worry about. Because Gai is more of cool and serious type, he will not run away at first sight.

But anyway, do anyone remember our current gears for this mission? I remember something about that we have pistols, disguised iron bars, toy swords and some other stuff. If we don't have any pepper spray and/or marble balls, we should get them too because we never know when we need to make tactical retreat.
