You're not asleep. Not this morning. This time, you're on the bridge, watching the sun rise over the Brazilian countryside. You've made it. You have half a day before Garma said the attack on Jaburo is supposed to begin. You're a scant few miles from the entrance now. Burning walks over to you, a cup of coffee in his hand.

Alright, not much we can do I suppose.
Can we get a map of Jaburo, and work on identifying where Gihren is going to attack? Maybe if we can blunt their initial push, the local commander will sound a withdrawal rather than throw his men into a hopeless attack.

We modified the Trafalgar (now Sleipnir) and one GM, and upgraded the other, specifically so we could support the illusion that we have a prototype White Base unit with multiple Gundams. All told, we now have three actual Gundams and a false Gundam at our own disposal, and the real White Base has the V Project units.

I was planning on a big rescue moment, when Sleipnir charges in to save Jaburo when the attack is already underway, and I suppose we can still do that, by being out on "patrol" when Gihren attacks. We can also combine our forces with White Base and just try to looks as impressive and fearsome as possible while we stand off against the Zeon.

Whatever happens, we'll be trying to scare Gihren's forces as much as possible, so we can make them surrender or retreat without being forced to kill them all.

There are at least two issues we need to deal with on top of this.

First, we need to access the terminal that the souls of Side 2 showed us was in Jaburo.

Second, we need to figure out what we're going to do if, as our Side 2 friends suggested, the Zeon is going to drop a colony on Jaburo. I think our only chance is going to be Newtype magic, unless we can somehow get up there and change the colony's trajectory.

Why don't we just wait for White Base, and keep our forces together? We can leave someone behind as a reserve to protect Jaburo itself, instead of riding out to meet Gihren with the rest of us - this unit will also be able to deal with an attack from another direction.

Instead of putting a single Gundam at each location, can we set up a series of sensor pods with a lasercomm network?

We don't know if Zeon is going to attack from all directions at once; I don't think they have the manpower for that.

This way, we could concentrate our Gundam team, and minimize damage to our team, and really hammer back the Zeon attack, making them reconsider their offensive.

If I were to lead the attack, an amphibious assault would allow for the most stealthy approach, and an aerial bombardment would yield the most damage. Jaburo is also an important enough target that we should expect a distraction: probably a conventional ground attack from the opposite direction of the real strike.

I vote we hold our suits in reserve aboard the Sleipnir until the real threat materializes, then sortie from the ship to counter it. Most likely it'll be the amphibious assault.

If memory serves, the Zaku Marine type and the Gogg had both been fielded prior to the assault on Jaburo. So no, it shouldn't be metaknowledge. Plus, even if there were vague rumors of the possibility, any strategic-minded individual would realize that Jaburo is exactly the type of target an amphibious mobile suit would be designed to attack.

In any event, holding in reserve is still a good strategy, regardless of how much we know of Zeon's technical advancements.

Okay, okay, so we're going to try to talk Char out of supporting the Gihren-controlled Zeon; how do we do that?
    Any ideas on talking points?

We could try with how Gihren is turning Zeon into a mockery of its ideals. We could also try the tack of how this war will only lead to the death of the human race, both on Earth and in space.
