The bandits are now rather far behind and you doubt they’d give pursuit, the sword in your hand is now free of the scabbard and you look at the dull, pale gray blade, remembering how fast Hadraniel literally popped out of the thing the very moment a small portion of it came out.

You try to divert the subject, the angel is visibly irritated but it doesn’t seem to be directed at you, the link is telling you of that anyway.

Her the blunt end of her spear is touching the ground while she face you, the armor and position as she hold her weapon with one hand give you the impression that she’s more distant than solemn.

With an imperious movement, you take off your long cloak and walk toward the angel who gives you an incredulous look, your eyes fall on her noble, downright beautiful white wings and wonder how uncomfortable she’ll be to hide them, but she’ll have to do it for now.

As you move behind her, you see her wrap her lift her arms as she wrap her wings around her body, going from shoulders to the beginning of her tight, it’s a good thing you’re taller than her, the cloak goes around to her knees and effectively hide her monster part, although her armor is definitely unusual and most of all magical, you can pick it up easily and so will anyone sensible to magic.

It is around past midday when the village come into view, you’ve passed the time with your mantis friend by talking and making your usual friendly, verbose jab and, overall, the last few hours were pleasant, but your legs are starting to cramp up somewhat, not that you’ll admit it to anyone.

None of you had anything to eat or drink since this morning but you didn’t exactly felt the need so far, maybe being out on the road energized you more than you thought? With the sun now lost, light are nowhere to be found but, thankfully, you came prepare and two lantern are lit without much problem as you and Sylphis move away from the main road to step in the large herbs, a good 15 minutes march show you a small clearing without too much vegetation, Sylphis take your backpack without as much as a warning and start unpacking the bedrolls, leaving you slightly stunned as you watch her work, holding the lantern.
But then you take your sword out and a brief magical show later, here is the angel looking as noble and solemn as ever, examining the dark surroundings, then Sylphis busying herself, then you.

Maybe you could go gather woods for a campfire, autumnal nights are cold and rather uncomfortable, your Mantis friend is rubbing her hands together as a small breath fume escape her mouth.
