@GhostAdjutant

You were a ghost operative of the Terran Dominion, under Emperor Arcturus Mengsk. Your Codename is Delta Phoenix. You received a transmission from Korhal. "The Emperor is Dead. Long live the Emperor. "

It seems like a lifetime since the fall of Korhal disabled your neural inhibitor and you went rogue. With the help of a rogue Dominion Marine, Jacob Henderson, you and your small crew secured a Gorgon-Class battlecruiser you now call The Daluke. The Dominion, bounty hunters, and criminal scum alike are all after you with a massive 1.5 billion credit bounty on your head. But they're going to have to earn it, first.

You just completed you training with the Protoss Kassix, and feel like you could take on anything.

Adjutant A.I. loaded.
Good morning, Commander.
Our assignment has been completed and I have relayed your orders to the XO.

>"XO, Set a course for Murric. We need to pick up more resources before our next deployment."
>"Yessir."

You stand at the bridge, looking out over the jungle world. Kassix's words stick with you, and you look at the Ultralisk tooth hanging from your chest as the jump begins...

The vista of the jungle world is sucked from the Bridge's sight, replaced by the continental planet Murric.
>"XO contact our base, prepare to bring our supplies aboard."
>"Sir."

You pace the bridge, watching the massive tactical display at the center. There are a few civilian ships aimlessly floating about in Orbit. The Dominion security station, locally referred to as 'New Alamo' is the largest installation. It's the only thing that registers as even close to the size of your vessel.
>"Sir, I'm detecting multiple warp jumps inbound. IFF's read... Dominion."
>"What? This far out? Check sensors. Confirm that IFF!"

You watch the tactical display. At first a single ship jumps in. The IFF reads: D.S.S. [REDATCED.] Then D.S.S. Aeron, then D.S.S. Teron, then D.S.S. Feuron. All Behemoth class. The room is slowly bathed in red light as hundreds of enemy viking signatures flood on screen. Your XO steps down to the center of the bridge and begins barking orders.
>"This is the XO! Set condition one throughout the fleet. Launch all alert fighters. Boarding teams to defense positions. This is not a drill! This. Is not. A drill. Ensign, put us through to local defense communications."

You step forwards, and listen to the Murrican defense network.
>"This is New Alamo actual to ground control. Unconfirmed reports of Dominion IFF in defense zone, over."
>"Impossible. Check your source."
>"Reading multiple pings on the orbital defense grid."
>"Oh this can't be happening..."
>"There's no mistake - it's them. The president has declared Operation Frostbite. Mobilize all units, now! Now, dammit, now!"
>"This is Screaming Eagle 1, we're engaging."

You can see a flash of light on the surface of Murric as the battlecruisers descend over it. The firestorm starts to slowly spread. Then another, and another.

>"What the hell was that!?"
>"We're coming in hot, hold on!"
>"Screaming Eagle eight is down! There's too many of 'em!"1:36 AM 7/8/2013
>"Oh my god..."
>"The hell is happening down there?"
>"We're overrun! We need evac!"
>"There's still people down here!"
>"Screaming Eagles engage vikings at my coordinates-"

Your XO turns to you.
>"Sir. Priority message from New Alamo control. I'm putting you through."
>"We need you in this fight, Daluke."

You look at the sensors. There's nothing you can do.
Tactical Advisement: Retreat. Abandon Murric assets.

You grip the Ultralisk tooth hanging from your chest and remember the words of Kassix. You trust your brain far too much. But you do not trust your heart...

>Prepare deployments. Save these people.
>Order defensive formation until you can make a jump.
>Blind jump. Although dangerous, it is almost instant.

Send the Hercules to grab the minerals and gas that we have stockpiled along with a Valkyrie for the base population, send escort if close to hot zone.

Send in the other Valkyrie and banshee if they don't have cloak to begin picking up civilians and disrupt Dominion ground forces.
>>

Guys, trying to be a hero is gonna get us killed. Please stop making retarded decisions. They got several fully functional cruisers and hunderds of vikings. A few salvos of their guns would down our cruiser.

A Valkyrie would be able to hold all the resources we have stockpiled i don't think, they have a personnel capacity of 30 and we have 12 SCVs and 9 civvies at the base add to that the 4000+ resources we have there.

Awesome, I'm in time for this one

Also, holy crap...
We have to help them. Not only do we have resources on this planet, but these people pretty much value their freedom above all else. It's the least we can do.

Besides...it's time we proved to Kassix that we were a worthy student

Adjutant, what are our options for rescue operations? I need more details on the strength of the Dominion fleet and fighters.
>>
>>25895448
Added on to this, get The Daluke orbiting on the other side of the planet keep out of weapon range.
>>
>>25895482
Personnel (both ours and Murrican government) have a far higher priority than resources.

The Daluke will engage the enemy flee from extreme range and try to draw them away from the planet slightly, allowing our transports one and only one run to the surface.

(By the way Adjy, great pastebin and music to go with it. This should be helpful)

You consider your options for a few seconds, watching the Murric defense force engage the enemies. All hope appears to be lost when the XO approaches your command post.

>"Sir, the bulk of the enemy forces are engaged with New Alamo. We can make a strike into their side and buy them time. I have a few tactical plans..."

The XO seems to favor moving in to save more than just your base. You're not so sure.

>"Adjutant, what're we looking at if Murric falls?"
>"It is 89% likely that the nearby systems dependent on Murric for food will experience supply shortfalls, and be forced to return to Dominion control to maintain their populations."

Helping the local defenders out a bit while we perform a limited evacuation is a reasonable course of action.

Actually trying to harm this Dominion fleet (especially by boarding actions) is not.

We should harass them and deflect their attention from the locals, nothing more.

4 Behemoth class battleships, hundreds of Viking signatures, and who KNOWS what's on the D.S.S REDACTED. They probably have a new super weapon, or worse knowing the Dominion. They loved testing out their latest crazy bullshit weapons on rebels, from what I remember

So I have to agree. While it'd be awesome if our batteries could take down a ship or two to help...I really don't think we'll be able to take them on. If I'm not mistaken, Behemoth is either one size larger or smaller then our Gorgon.

It's times like these I wish we had the Yamoto cannon online...

>Registering Consensus.
>1 Prepare deployments. Save these people.

>"What's the plan, XO?"

You step down to the tactical overlay, as the Murric defense force starts to get pushed back to New Alamo.

>"Sir. We move the Daluke underneath the enemy fleet. They'll be forced to use weaker ATS laser batteries on us. and they can't bring nuclear ordinance on the planet, or us, at that range. We have our repair crews house Screaming Eagles and keep them in the fight."

The XO moves the graphic representation of the Daluke directly under the 3 Battlecruisers roughly half it's size. You can still hear tactical information being shouted across your bridge as your crew struggles to organize a defense.

>"From there, we launch strike boarding teams. We have Three Dropships, so we can land teams on three of them. I recommend the three where we have information on the IFF's, our boarding parties know what they can expect."

>"Purple Squadron will cover our transports, then move to protect New Alamo. We'll need them to remain online and keep their firing solutions going if we expect any civilians to make it offworld, or if we're really lucky, hold the planet long enough for the Dominion to pull out."

A particularly loud yell before radio silence momentarily grabs your attention, before you turn it back to the XO.

>"What about the Ghost Battlecruiser?"
>"We don't have any dropships, sir. It's still going to take out a lot of people but I don't know what we can do about that."
>"We don't have dropships... But we have drop pods."
>"That's more or less suicide, sir. Assuming they don't shoot the pods down, there's no way off the ship if a team does take thee bridge."
>"Adjutant, what're the chances of a pod making it on that ship if we launch all available pods in front of it?"
>"62%, Delta Phoenix."
>"I've taken worse odds."

This is the best chance you have to save lives. Maybe even save this planet and those who depend on it.

>Confirm XO's deployments.

>>25895913
Could the Screaming Eagles run interference/distract the REDACTED battlecruiser while we drop pod inside?
>>
>>25895953
It will increase the likelihood of Drop Pods landing, but reduce New Alamo's defense force.
>>
>>25895913
Only boarding teams, only exlposives payloads. Go in, wire the docking bays, go out.

Our Valkyrie can ignore this and go straight for craw space or something more sensible.

No drop pods. Yamato the [REDACTED]
>>
>>25895913
Are there any methods of increasing the odds of a drop pot hitting the D.S.S. Redacted? Something like having one of our other ships fly interference or pull a Mia and provide course correction with another ship?

How long would it take to add some more thrusters to it to make it slightly more accurate?
>>
>>25895993
Using Purple squadron to improve Drop Pod success rates will put our other transports and New Alamo at increased risk.

We do not have time for any changes to engineering.
>>
>>25895913
Can Mac give us a shot with the Yamato? Because if so that ought to solve a lot of issues.
>>
>>25895913
Redirect Non-critical power to our shields. That should make even the inefficient terran space shields work a little longer.

Focus all available fire of the Daluke on the [REDACTED] while our dropships go for the other battlecruisers. no need to risk friendly fire.
>>
>>25895913
Behemoth BC's have a crew complement of 4 to 7 /thousand/, is our XO insane?! There is no way one dropship of infantry is taking over one of these ships, let alone three.

If we're prepared to lose all of these men, the confusion might be enough for The Daluke to cripple one BC, while we infiltrate the Ghost one (which is a huge unknown).

We should focus on ranged fire and rearming the locals. The planet is lost, we can only hold these ships off for a while longer while an evacuation is being conducted.
>>
>>25895883

You sit on the Ammunition crate, probably Gemini missiles. You like to watch the knuckle-draggers repair your ship. It gives you someone to yell at if you notice any new scratches or dings. The jump just finished to Murric. You're looking forward to some more shore leave when you hear an alert siren.

>"This is the XO! Set condition one throughout the fleet. Launch all alert fighters. Boarding teams to defense positions. This is not a drill! This. Is not. A drill."

That's not good.

>"Move out, get me unhooked, I need to be in the air!"

The other mercenary pilots make for their ships as well. You lift off into the darkness of space and wing around. You can see the fight before your sensors are online to pick it up. Dozens of squadrons, three or four battlecruisers. There's no fuckin' way...

>"Sound off, ladies."
>"Purple one, standing by."
>"Purple two, standing by."
>"Purple three, standing by."
>"Are we really going for this engagement?"
>"We're just holding position right now, Apollo."

You watch the sensors for a few minute, hoping it stays that way. You've pulled off a miracle or two in your time, but this... This is different.

>"Dolphin 13 this is Daluke actual. Your orders are to cover for insertion teams to Bandit Actual three through one, over."
>"Confirmed, Daluke actual. Moving to defend."

The Hercules soars out, followed by the two dropships.
>"Purple squadron on my six. Keep close and zero chatter."

Vikings have the range advantage but Wraiths are more nimble. So get in close and move in between them. Wraiths also pack a bigger punch so we are better dogfighters right now.

You don't have to sweat this. Easy money on the wraiths.

>"Purple squadron, move to engage."

You break off from the transports and flash ahead at full speed. The vikings break formation when they realize you're engaging them and try to make a break for the transports.

>"Go for the engines, protect drop teams!"

You take out one viking with and switch to the next before the missiles even hit. You fly overhead, kill thrusters, and turn around to face him. A single burst laser takes out the pilot and sends the viking careening into the depths of space.

>"Scratch two!"
>"Purple three, I've got a bandit on my tail."

>Break from formation, assist Purple 3.

You point out at the location on the ship's spine one the holo-briefing that turns on at the middle of the table.

>"Now, our Hercules is too big to attempt dockin' procedures of the delicate variety, so we're gonna be offloadin' on the thing's fuckin' hull, right at the low point so the batteries don't shoot our Hercules."

You trace your finger down the spine to the ship's hammer head.

>"From there we walk over the hull, take out whatever batteries we so decisively can, and make for the bridge. From there, we shoot them sunsabitches so full of hellfire missiles and lead they will write songs about Henderson's Hardasses."

>"Chewy, dodge that fire!"
>"Nuurraaaahhh!"
>"Straight down the trench. Damnit, we've lost targeting computers. Going to have to land it by eyeball."

You wish your pilots had a brief spark of competence. Good boys, but none too bright. The ship shakes as you begin to take fire from the battleship's batteries. Your gut rises in your stomach as the transport comes to a stop. The landing ramp and drops.

>"Go, go, go!"

The goliath walker squad walks out and starts blasting the visible batteries with missiles, they have no way of shooting back. It almost brings a tear to your eye.

But there's no time for gettin' all sentimental like. You order your crew to continue on the back of the battlecruiser's hull, shooting as you move.

Get into formation so they can't bomb the hell outta us and give them a beautiful fireworks show in their face.
Keep moving so they can't surround, and whenever there is a lull in the action, open fire on the batteries again- they're not here just to shoot down air after all.

Keep moving while returning fire, use the laser batteries as cover whenever possible.

Vikings can change to walker form so our best bet is to kil as many as possible before they land.

Once they do land however use the battleship terrain for cover. Their weapons our a bit heavier then the goliaths if I remember right.

You bring a cigar up to your mouth. This is serious. Really serious, actually. You decide to make it a Tyrador cigar as this is a special occasion.

>"C'mon boys, don't be shy! Those viking boys look like they need a couple missiles!"

Your men open fire, blowing a couple vikings off-course and into the battlecruiser's hull. Several of them land and begin autocannon fire. You return fire and advance. Like bullets are going to stop you.

Several rounds ding off your armor as you mow down the vikings. Another two go down. One attempts to flee on foot and another shifts to flight form.

>"Aww, ladies, don't be like that!"

You fire missiles at one, then auto-cannon down another.

>"Move forward ladies, we gotta make it to that bridge before-"

You attempt to walk forward. The walker's leg gives out and it slams face down. They shot out your leg.

>"Well, shit."

Jump into the hole with extra goliath missile warheads strapped onto a bandolier with a detonator. Board the ship, try and use our IFF as Dominion boys and casually walk to the bridge. So not only would you risk killing Young and Henderson by sending them off alone but you'd risk the mission by denying them Young's Goliath?

You step up onto the Goliath's head, your CMC's magnetized boots engage. It'll take a lot to knock you off.

>"Uh...Sir?"
>"Onwards, my Glorious steed! We ride into battle!"

After a few seconds of disbelief, your Goliath squad moves forward down the trench, taking out any turret that comes into their range. The roat of guns is your lullaby as you open small-arms fire on any viking that flies overhead. One will occasionally land and take autocannon fire before he can even take a shot off. You exit the trench's cover, cannons abound, shooting at wraiths firing at the battleship.

>"Have you ever seen anything so beautiful, Goliaths?"
>"No sir."

Battlecruiser turret fire directs itself at you. Hardass 4 goes down in a huge explosion.

>"Move forward for the bridge! Full speed, do not engage!"

Your Goliaths sprint to the edge of the battlecruiser. Stray battlecruiser and viking fire blasts all around you. Goliath 2 goes down. Then 4. It's just you and private Young.

As you reach the corner between the face and top of the battlecruiser something hits Young from behind. You fly off into space, dozens of feet from the battlecruiser and slowly drifting away. You have to think fast...

Do we have anything like a grappling hook?

Do we have something that can provide thrust or propulsion -- maaaybe our own air supply if its sufficiently pressurized?

Otherwise, well, shooting our gun to provide boost is one thing.

Another thing we can do, is use our radio and ask for a pick-up from the ship that dropped us off.

You rotate yourself around, locate the bridge, and start shooting behind yourself. You start picking up speed, and more speed, and more speed, and... Too fast! Too fast! Waaaay too fast!

You shoot in the opposite direction and blow open the glass of the battlecruiser's bridge, but it's not enough to slow you down, especially as the bridge is now venting atmosphere.

You crash in, past the unsuited crew who are being vented to space. You rush past the length of the bridge and shoot through an open door. Your feet catch the floor and you more-or-less skid to a halt. With quick thinking you charge the bandolier of explosive grenades and D8 charges and throw it through the door. You flip off the few crew in CMC's as they charge towards you and seal the door.

You run towards the ass-end of the ship. A large explosion rocks everything and you stumble momentarily.

Now, armed with 2 Gauss rifles, no explosives, and your cigar, you must escape the battlecruiser.

What's the plan, Henderson, you magnificent bastard you?
>>

You just blew the bridge to fuckin' hell.
You don't know a single goddamn thing about pilotin' a battlecruiser.
There are 4,000 angry-as-hell Dominion on this boys who want to shoot you out the nearest airlock.

No Henderson. You cannot take the goddamn ship.

This and hey, if it comes down to it we shoot a window jump out and have someone pick us up there while we admire our work.
>>
How about this.

Is the breach still open?

I say we do this.

Steal a uniform from one of the highest ranking crew members. Find a vent or any exits. If not Lay low and wait for crew members to come in and clear the place. Pretend to be critically injured on the face. Get sent to medbay but be sure to have a pistol on you. When we're waiting on medbay (probably waiting because entire medbay is full) Sneak out get sneak around the ship. Get to the docking area. Find drop pods and get in and drop out. If not use an escape pod to escape the ship. If not possible steal a aircraft (preferably a easy to drive craft) and escape.

IF None of this is possible get out through the breach again and go back where you've came from
>>
>>25897971

You're on the dropship.

Daisy and Tyrone say you're gonna burn bad people.

You don't like bad people.

Pilot yelling. Something bad happens. Scared.

>"It's okay, Barney. We're gonna be fine."
>"Yeah, don't you sweat it, Baby. We're gonna be kickin' Dominion ass before you can say "Magic Dinosaur."

Still scared. Loud noises. Lots of Booms. You hit head. Ow, ow, ow, ow.

>"Medic! Medic, Tyrone's got it bad!"
>"Aww hell, Baby."

Metal rod is in Tyrone's arm. Really hurts you think. Miss Jessie there, though. She'll kiss it. Make it all better.

>"We're not lifting off in this thing, we're gonna have to take the docking bays. Barney, Daisy, you're forward team one. Escort the pilots, get us a ship. Jessie, go with them. Everyone else on me, we're going for the bridge."

You step out of ship. Inside bigger ship. Big hole in ship. Can see stars. So pretty...

>"Barney, let's go!"

Oh! Following miss Daisy. You go down hall. Another hall. More hall. Bad man pops out. Scares you. You burn him. Don't want him to think he's bad though. Sing to him. Make him feel better.

Big door. Probably big room. Be dumb to have big door and small room.

>"We're here. Probably going to be a lot of resistance. Let us go in first, we'll mop up, and you can take the dropship. Ready Barney?"

You nod. You're ready for your big fight. Miss Daisy and Jessie painted a big scary face on your suit. They're all gonna run from you now!

So what were you supposed to do, again?
>>
>>25898237

Door opens. Lots of people. They stop and look. They don't have guns, but you can be a bad guy without a gun.

>"Let's make magic, Barney."

You reach out your hands and begin to sing to the poor, poor bad people. Some of them try to lock themselves away in ships. They leave the other bad people outside. You hear them yelling bad people things. Jets of pretty fire fly out of your throwers.

>"Day-see, Day-see, give me your answer, dooo-"
>"PLEASE! NO GOD, PLEASE! AAAAAHHHHH AH AH AHHHHH!"

Another bad man tries to crawl away. You grab him by the foot and drag him towards you. He turns around as you raise up your fist to crush his head in. He can't be bad with no head!

>"Please! I have a family! I have a daughter! I surrender!"
>"Ey'ahm half Cray-zee, over the thought of yoooou-"
>"Htchk! Gurk, huhhhgurk...."

Several of them hide in a dropship. Silly bad men. You can run but you can't hide. You pick up a heavy box. You set it in front of the door and set the dropship on fire. You sing louder as you watch them wave to you from inside the dropship. These bad men are nice! You wave back.

>"It won't be a styyyylish Marriage, I can't afford a Carriaaage-"
>"LET US OUT! PLEASE, MERCY, PLEASE GOD!"
>"-But you'll look sweet-"

One of the wounded, burnt bad men grabs your boot.
>"Hhhe- help... me...."

You bring your throwers down and wash him away. He's not good yet. He will be, though.

If we put the box of bad men in front, others will not want to use the ship!
>>
>>25898694
>>25898684
>>25898656
Remember people, we have to leave doors open for Tyrone and the rest of our friends, otherwise they'd be stuck on the ship with bad men, and that'd be bad.

>>25898717
Ask Miss Daisy which doors we should weld shut so Tyrone can come back just fine. She should know, she knows lots of things.

And of course we can like Tyrone, he's still a friendly guy and makes us laugh. Never said anything mean about us.
>>
>>25898717
oh, that's just RASCIST!
>>
>>25898737
agreed
>>
>>25898717
Sure they can be, just make sure they don't try to kill the good guys.
>>
>>25898737
go for it

>"Whatcha' doin, Barney?"
>"I'm weldin' the door shut, Miss Daisy!"
>"Oh, I gotta watch this."

You step up to the door and douse it in beautiful, beautiful flames. It begins to bend and the door begins to melt. Hah! Haha! This is fun! Melt more door! Melt more door! Oh. Whoops.

There's a hole in the door.

Daisy seems to be watching the door melt too, she's got her hand in that weird spot again.

>"Miss Daisy, it didn't work."
>"Huh? Oh, yeah. Go get some crates and stick them there while it's still hot."

Miss Daisy. Always so smart. You pick up heavy boxes and put them in front of the door. They melt into it. Perfect!

Now we just gotta wait on Tyrone.
>>
>>25898769
>Too much door melt
Alright, that might be bad.
>Hand in weird spot again
I... what?
>>
>>25898769
Oh, Barney, that just means Daisy's enjoying the fire! Keep it up, and you'll definitely get that kiss.
>>
>>25898769
Its both positively awesome and highly disturbing how easy you can write a mentally challenged pyromaniac so well.
>>
>>25898738
Have you never played Starcraft before?

I mean really. It's basically rednecks vs. aliens. In space. And Raynor is a fucking cowboy gunslinger. I'm not shitting you.

Miss Daisy is so smart. Once we're done with this important mission, remember Barney, this mission is very important so we have to focus, once we're done here and back on the Daluke we can give Miss Daisy a big, but gentle, momma always told us to be gentle, hug to thank her for being so nice to us and being so smart.

I wonder why she's touching herself, maybe we should ask her later. She's so smart, I'm sure it makes perfect sense.
>>
>>25898769
Heh, we shoulda known better then to tell the Pyro to melt in moderation I guess.

At least Daisy's smart.
>>
>>25898803
Daisy is a crazy pyromaniac she gets off on this stuff
>>
>>25898803
I think it's like a CMC hand on her hip
Only her hand is a giant flame spewer
So it looks weird.
>>
>>25898814
And thus you know why I have this name
Like it or not, we're playing Sci fi Western.
>>
>>25898803
She's masturbating, anon. Hell, I caught it when she paused while congratulating Barney.

You sit around and wait for a bit. Eventually you hear gunfire and head to the other door. The gunfire stops and the Mayreens and Tyrone run through. Tyrone is carrying a wounded good guy. Miss Jessie will help him though! Hey wait, Tyrone is missing his helmet.

His skin really white, like paper, except for little dots, and his hair really red, like fire.

>"It's too heavy! We gotta split! Everyone onboard that transport now!"

Oh, you hate transport rides...

>Loading mission Parameters: Helldog Mercenary Squad, Corproral "Bossman."...

Got that. Isn't she in a firebat suit, too, though? How is that even...

Marauders have black dude voices, I should know this as I once perfected the art of spamming them.

Now that I think of it I imagine most firebats would get along really well. Decent folk, they.

Why don't we have more firebats?

Take your time Bossman. I'm set for the night.

Also no questions that aren't spoilers you bastard
>>

No, no she isn't. She's trying to masturbate through a CMC-660 suit.
>>
>>25898803
>>25898984
Yeah, I was wondering too. The only place that isn't covered in metal is her face.

thats what I figured as well.

It's feasible she could just bash the hell out of her massive codpiece, but that wasn't quite what OP described. So I'm as confused as anyone.

You need more barney images.

I bet she has a dildo in her armor.
>>
>>25899055
She might be able to get a bit of pressure, or it could be more psychological than anything else.

I'm sure she'll explain everything about it to Barney, later.

Well, we knew Terran forces were almost ALL crazy as fuck

Not as crazy as Zerg or Protoss I guess, but you know.

How well does our crew get along with each other in general? Are they all friendly to each other?

What is the crew's opinion of Delta?

Adjutant, can we modify Goliaths to carry an SCV for field repairs?

Sadly I have no picture, but here's a bit from the BattleTech wiki:
>OmniMechs could also be used extensively as infantry transports. In 2868, Clan Wolf began fielding Battle Armored Infantry
> By refitting and retrofitting OmniMechs with handholds, OmniMechs could perform as dedicated infantry transports.
>>
>>25899163
We probably don't have time for it now, but that's a good idea for the future I think.
>>
>>25899163
SCV backpacks?

We need more firebats. They are fun, happy people.
