You are Voss you admit you have been bored out of your FUCKING mind. The usual necrotic ghouls are annoying as shit as usual. While the bandits were good but you sort of got bored and chose to have fun with them. To bad that got old fast. Now however Richard is off trying to find his own personal lab since something about him losing the ability to easily create borgs. Apparently he needed a sample of his old flesh as a medium which he was no longer made up of. However since that one invention of theirs didn't work right and caused a massive clusterfuck. An old inkling began to form one that reminded you of your Reaver days back when you were still solo...and a way to get that back. So while the Hivemind was to busy freaking out about it you approached Tabula Rasa about the plan after you gave one last order to your bandit boys and ghoulish followers though. He handed it off to you and you disappeared in a vehicle...solo. Got it felt GOOD to be a Reaver again. Apparently this contraption kept the riff raff away ah. Solo...the right to be called a reaver once more. You'll admit you wouldn't mind dying like this.
With that however you struck out. You know you only got so much juice for it, but you also sort of wanted to go out with a bang. So you carried it all the way to the Warzone between Ghouls and bandits. All the while making sure to weave back and forth to make sure that everyone was going to arrive all at once...the monsters and both type of zombie hordes. It was going to be beautiful your only regret was that you wouldn't be able to show off to Vass with what you were about to do. With that you took one last swig of Richard's special and brought your weapons up.

Hero Voss necrotic ghoulish current Reaver(former Ravager) deceased.

Scouts who went down in the tunnels never came back up again. We don't even know what happened despite them being range for the Hivemind. Worse yet there is something going on with the tunnels.
hm two crit ones for a mobile factory...in a row. Wow.
Anyway our mobile factory we tried building got wrecked beyond repair...we don't even got in blueprints. Apparently we sort of need Markus or something not that it matter any mores considering even the plans are fucked. The bandits however got their mobile factory its just ours that got wrecked beyond repair...again. Apparently the bandits were smart enough to negotiate with Markus about a little something extra special for them.
Basic three the scouts we sent to the Giant Mega Battle didn't return...apparently it hasn't ended yet holy shit its been a entire month already and its STILL going on plenty strong. Worse yet the Mega Battle has now begun to spread out...even in our bases direction.
Borg STs weren't supposed to be built in the mobile factories not only didn't we lose the STs its also the reason why we lost our Mobile Factory...again.

>Concerns

Supermutant/Military Remnants, with much superior weapons and likely superior numbers, along with their Psionic Commandoes are coming in 2-3 turns. Unless we can roll a few 100s they'll overwhelm us outright.

She Who Hungers was woken up and will likely come right before, right after, or when the Supermutant Military Remnants hit. Imminent and overwhelming psionic attack incoming from She Who Hungers.

Wil is off with Richard down in Richard's lab doing something that OP desperately hopes will save us. Possibility of losing Richard, and Wil. Strong chance Wil will judge us not worth his time/the trouble afterwards. (though he might just be intrigued by the excitement)

Alexis is out wandering the swamp, unescorted.

Our layer of the swamp is now becoming exclusively populated by Massive (and above) level Deep Swamp Monsters.

The Battle of 4 Armies is spreading out and will likely include us in 2-5 turns. We wouldn't be able to deal with the military might being tossed about in this Battle even if we didn't have the Military Remnants and She Who Hungers to worry about.

Our manufacturing abilities have been neutered, and there's no way to get them back online.
I advise we just go hella into biotech and not bother rebuilding the factory, a biological/biotech factory would be a good alternative

We may or may not have any psionic crystals left. We have a structure: "Crystal Farm: Incomplete" but it's unclear whether that means there are crystal seeds in it or not. If there are no crystal seeds in it then Tabula Rasa can grow crystals, but it will take a very long time to get enough to begin farming operations.

>Oh, and Torg hasn't been mentioned in a while. I know he drops off the map a lot but god only knows what he's up to this time.
Possible Torg will be heroic sacrifice for us to survive She Who Hungers and Military Remnants attacks.

Here is where I hope the "Enemy of my Enemy" principle applies. One of them is going to hate the other more than the one. I also pray that we can call back King Brood daddy, because he hates both. Although, maybe General Dukov will listen to reason. We have Ramona.
>Possibility of losing Richard
Absolutely NO. We need his biotech.
>and Wil. Strong chance Wil will judge us not worth his time/the trouble afterwards. (though he might just be intrigued by the excitement)
Sigh, I can expect that. But I like Wil, as much as I liked Voss as well, we didn't get to use him before he leaves/dies.
>The Battle of 4 Armies is spreading out and will likely include us in 2-5 turns. We wouldn't be able to deal with the military might being tossed about in this Battle even if we didn't have the Military Remnants and She Who Hungers to worry about.
Again the "somebodies bound to hate us less/hate them more so envoy envoy envoy. I'm looking to the Ghouls, but strangely the Odd bandits didn't really care about voss and maybe their anger has died down a little in the face of 3 hugefuck armies.
>Our manufacturing abilities have been neutered, and there's no way to get them back online.

Yep. Which is why the death of Richard is the doom of us all.

[Redacted] material are the equivalent of the Holy Grail to us. Unless we send out Wilfred Didrikson and Alexis Tectus on some sort of quest to find it, crystals are out of our reach.

>Oh, and Torg hasn't been mentioned in a while. I know he drops off the map a lot but god only knows what he's up to this time.
>Possible Torg will be heroic sacrifice for us to survive She Who Hungers and Military Remnants attacks.
I can see that. But I wouldn't like it Torg has been incredibly usefull.

Also there's still the matter of the strange patrol Alexis discovered. I'm wondering if they aren't Cortana's forces or possibly the Corporation. Their trying to profit of the war WE proudly started. Pah.
>>
Rolled 80

>>27415911

>Here is where I hope the "Enemy of my Enemy" principle applies

Not in this instance. We consort with a broodmother that is the spawn of what the Supermutants fought for centuries. The Supermutants steadfastly want us dead. They agreed to our parlay because they're in a tight spot and their Psionic-Bandit-Commandoes didn't support assaulting us.

But then we activated our Psionic Field. I told you not to fucking do that That has wakened She Who Hungers, and so it's likely shifted the Psionic-Commandoes into thirsting-for-our-blood mode.

So both parts of the Military Remant-Supermutant/Psionic Commandoes faction hate us.

There will be no parlay with them.

Also see >>27408423 "She wasn't dumb enough to go to the super mutants. Even while wasted"

>Possibility of losing Richard
I agree, Richard is second only to Clora'Zel in terms of value (and that's just because Clora'Zel is responsible for half of our military, and keeps us from being annihilated by the Arch Brood King [if he's still alive]). We should sacrifice almost everything to keep him alive.

>The Battle of 4 Armies
There's not going to be any parlay with any of those factions. We started the fight and everyone knows it. We have Infernal Diabolical Aberrations or whatever it is reputation, and all the parties involved in the Battle of 4 Armies were specifically snubbed by us.

We definitely won't be able to parlay with the ghouls. We brought like 5 goddamn zombie hordes into their battle with the bandits. Also, we tried sending envoys to ghouls and bandits and they just thought we were bragging about how badass we were for getting them all to fight.

>Yep. Which is why the death of Richard is the doom of us all.
Well I'm glad we agree on it being next-to-useless to rebuild the mobile factory in the immediate future. See my above on Richard, he is indeed key to our survival. He might get fed up w/ us too and leave though.
>>
Rolled 82

>>27415944

>[Redacted] material are the equivalent of the Holy Grail to us.
[Redacted] material is god-tier to us, but it's not out of our reach. We cracked open the lower levels of our facility and gained Richard and Clora (our two best, most valued heroes) out of it. That was [Redacted}. A.I. EDE stated that it would "take a while" for Tabula to figure out crystals. If we devoted significant time and resources to just researching them then we will be able to crack them even without unlocking EDE's [Redacted].

And I guarantee you mastering crystals and psionic tech will be worth it. It'd be the edge we need against everyone else. The technology no one anticipated because psionic crystals are so rare.

>Torg has been incredibly useful.
He has? I mean, he cleared the hivemind and gave us some upgraded Bombardier schematics, and he's blown some people up a few times...but I feel like he's on the verge of going Marcus on us anyway. Not devalue any of our heroes, but I would've kept Voss over him.

>Also there's still the matter of the strange patrol Alexis discovered.
I doubt that they're Cortana's forces (Cortana's forces are the Psi-Commandoes w/ the Super Mutants). I don't think they're Corporate remnants, because they talked about their officers. I think they're an as-yet undiscovered faction. The OP has not given enough hints for us to discover their identity, characteristics, or agenda Other than they want power, and presumably to take over the swamp. Also that they have sufficiently advanced technology to send out long-range patrols into the increasingly hostile swamp.
>>
Rolled 54

>>27416706
>>27416759
I'm just saying if the battle reaches us, I don't think many of them would like to divert their forces and potentially lose ground against their enemies in such a precarious war. And if we do see the fight looming over the horizon. The offer of extra muscle to at least tip the battle in our little part is tempting.
We've sent a small force to assist the ghouls before, if we send another and raise the Ghoulish flag and start helping their troops it may just be enough to get them to see us on speaking terms. Or it might not be. But there is no harm in trying.
>>
Rolled 68

>>27416759
>And I guarantee you mastering crystals and psionic tech will be worth it. It'd be the edge we need against everyone else.
Of course. The potentials are near limitless. Even now we have some sort of monster beacon to drive all sorts of enemies in the direction we want, while keeping off the small fries. And it only took a few amount of crystals.

But, as per this example, it is also a double edged sword. One which we must tread lightly.
>>
Rolled 97

>>27417100

I'm glad you're partial to siding with the ghouls. The ghouls are easily manipulated, and we have a shitton of them to research so we can control them even better. That, of course, being a long-term thing.

>>27417118

I meant more like the psionic railguns.

This venture was pure idiocy from the start. Any sort of large-scale constant psionic activity will produce a result similar to this clusterfuck we have ourselves in now.

On the upside, if She Who Hungers does indeed come out, and we deal with the Military/Psi faction, and the status quo between ghouls, zombies, and bandits remains so that none of them venture further into the swamp, lots of "ifs" there Then I think that OP will have played all of his immediately accessible "fuck you and your expansion!" cards.

We have the pontential to call forth the Deep Swamp at our bidding. Now if only we could control it!
>>
Rolled 29

>>27417689
For example, say we finally want to venture into the Deep Swamp.

We find one of our enemies bases, put a machine behind it out of their sight in secret (so as to put their base between to the DS and the machine), and activate it.
Not only do we call down a Deep Monster Mayhem on them, we clear up the Deep Swamp and make it easier for us to venture into. Two birds with one stone.
>>
>>27417934
Don't forget we can use the tunnel networks we mapped out. They'll never see it coming.

>>27417934

Really? This disaster just wasn't enough, you want more?

The OP hasn't sent strong enough signals to "don't fucking mess around with widespread psionics yet you fucking retards!" to you yet?

>>27418325
We don't have the tunnel networks mapped out, we have the locations of a few entrances. The tunnel networks are infested with psionic creatures from She Who Hungers that are powerful enough to kill teams of Tectus at will, and sufficiently potent with psionics to block their hivemind while they do it.

And no, whatever is down there isn't going to head to the Battle of 4 Armies unless it suits it to do so. She Who Hungers isn't some mindless monster like the monsters of the swamp, or the zombies, or the feral ghouls, that will follow the source of the nails-on-a-chalkboard screeching. It's a massive psionic entity that makes our Prophet look like a goldfish trying to protect our juicy morsel of a hivemind from a shark.

He was an engineer who specialized in weapons development. He became a hero and built us shittons of godawesome weapons and let us reverse engineer captured vehicles. We got attacked by a massive bandit horde and he beat them off using a Mobile Base he had secretly constructed, saving us from certain death.

Then he removed his mutations and left the hivemind (and us) to pursue his own goals. The hivemind hasn't had any contact with him since.

You know, I think you're right in that "The Hunger" that the Arch Brood King and the Psi Commandos said we act out though we're immune to it is player actions...but I had forgotten about this: >>27418948

Clora woke up from her 5 turn hibernation and was tremendously angry, and wanted to force her will upon us and everyone else.

>While she was in hibernation she was cut off from the hivemind
>Comes out of hibernation and wants to expand herself and eat everyone

That sounds like she was infected with The Hunger, but that the hivemind/The Prophet cured her of it. So things under the influence of the hivemind are immune to the hunger, but that immunity doesn't last.

Now we need to consider whether everything that has psionic acuity is automatically infected with The Hunger, or whether She Who Hungers deliberately targeted Clora'Zel to try and disrupt us/gain a powerful pawn. I lean toward the latter (though I think that weaker-willed things probably are affected in the former way also), because Tabula hasn't been infected, and some of our other heroes also don't/haven't shown signs of ravenous, unfettered aggression.

Now let's operate on the premise that She Who Hungers can deliberately target useful entities with Her unique brand of bloodlust. Aren't the ghouls led by two ghoul heroes (one of whom is psychically attuned right?) and haven't they been waging wars to expand their territory for a while now?

Is it possible that when we activated our Psy field it pissed off everything in the swamp so much because it exacerbated The Hunger?

Rolled 21

>>27421394

It's a real damn shame that some of our best and brightest Memor who become hero's get the privacy privileges, and thus lose the absolute loyalty garauntee and can leave at will.

Thankfully the Prophet, Clora, and hopefully Richard all hold Memor deep at heart. Dr. Claire might have no reason to leave too.

We were also very fortunate to be able to give Voss and Duelfists what they wanted, a final fight. The loss of a great wrangler and warrior was still bad though.

Good points. One thing I also considered. Brood control. How is it done?
For what reason do our fleshbeasts obey on matriarch over another. Or why do not all fleshbeasts obey SWH (like Arch King ect.).

I'm wondering, if the Prophet and the hivemind concentrate on giving Clora a huge boost of psionic power, could she possibly turn the hordes of fleshies that are coming are way? SWH's psionic control might be weaker at great distance, and Clora's stronger in proximity.

>>27422684
Since when did we have fleshbeasts coming for us?

Also, She Who Hungers is the as-yet unidentified psychic presence that was detected by the Prophet in Thread 1.

The Heart of the Swamp was the Brood Queen that spawned the swamp as a means of defense, controlled all the fleshbeasts that weren't Clora's, and was killed by the Military Remnants-Super Mutants and the Psionic Commandos a thread or three ago.

Brood control is (probably-certainly) psionic in nature. The Arch Brood King was under the Heart of the Swamp's control until she died, but he's an advanced enough creature to have independent thought processes and to command lesser broodspawn.

A plan where one of our psionics, backed by the others, tries to shatter hostiles' minds and/or kill-disable their psionics is good in principle, but She Who Hungers outclasses us far and away. Which is why we were advised to lay low on the psionics by the Arch Brood King and by EDE.
>>
Rolled 79

>>27423121
I had presumed, after we awoke her, she is sending forces on our way. Possibly the new underground horde, but then again we don't even know what they are.
We still haven't tried Mass Wrath on physical objects.
But, after that last bout, let's lay low on the psionic flexing and turn to our other strength. Mutation.

Perhaps, while Richard is away, we should have Clora mutate the 10k+ fleshbeasts we have since they are our most numerous troops and our industry is fucked.
>>
Rolled 50

>>27423221

I think "Mass Wrath" is the power that suspends the body's inbuilt limits. (I also think it's the only power we have)

Oh, that's what you were talking about. We don't have any confirmations on what's in the tunnels (but what's in the tunnel IS probably SWH's forces). They may be fleshbeasts, as it seems unlikely that the Heart of the Swamp would be the only thing of her kind in the Swamp.

I think that She Who Hungers is something that's taken up residence in the fuckmassive water purifiers waaay below us (the ones that are broken/leaking and make the swamp so...swampy and wet). It's reasonable to posit that she's another broodmother (maybe one more specialized in psionics) if we take into account that Clora'Zel and her sister are the only two sentient entities we KNOW to have been infected. (what better to stealthily infect a broodmother than another broodmother?) Again though, that's only (well-founded, i strongly assert:true, now that i think about it) speculation.
>>
Rolled 100

>>27423705
Weird, I thought the water facilities were under hillbilly land. Must've misread.

And at least we we don't have to worry about anymore tunnels directly under our base, since those were connected to cave of the Heart and destroyed. We'll only have to worry about them popping out of the ruins. From the northeast, the battle of 4 armies might cover that. And from the south, the Military Faction might be of use.
It's the west and northwest they can march to us uncontested.

Also possible, is they pop out of every single ruin simultaneously.

>>
Rolled 15

>>27423221
Also, on the same note as the above post i think we should focus on a way of securing Clora's communication with her brood. If She Who Hungers could wrest control of them from her in the heat of battle...well our odds already weren't good.

"Keeping low" on the psionics would've been a good plan if we hadn't drawn the attention of everything psionic in god-knows-how-big a radius. The simpler minded things may be satisfied chasing agter the Psyfield generator into the Battle of Four Armies, but the more powerful, dangerous, intelligent things wouldn't fall for that shit.

So we're on the radar of who-the-fuck-knows-what now, but those unknown things are undoubtedly all very powerful psionics and probably going to come looking for us.

And we're desperately unprepared to meet them. Like i said before, we jumped into the river without checking how deep it was first when we activated the PsyField, now we need to learn how to outswim the sharks and we need to do it NOW.
>>
>>27423787
Also what we should try is more "anti-flesh" tactics.
What we could do is get our chemical factories to produce as much caustic Alkali as possible for our elemental spewers.

Alkali is possible the worst thing any living being made of flesh can encounter. It's worse than fucking acid and fire. Acid and fire only destroys flesh, killing nerves is does. Alkali not only melts and destroys, its chemical action incites the nerves beyond imagination. It is the most painful way to die. Turning every single receptor into a constant screamer of pain, which gets unbelievable worse as it seeps into the rest. It even blocks out normal autonomic nerve signals, so the fleshbeast should not be able to control its own body once covered (if it's not already writhing on the floor, well not even writhing at all just sitting there melting, burning on the inside and everywhere).
>>
Rolled 9

>>27423937
Good idea, but then she could just make a new batch of fleshbeasts or mutate the old ones to have acidic flesh+blood and neutralize those weapons.
>>
>>27424153
Chemically speaking, having acid blood would only make things worse for them if we spray them with Alkali.
Such a reaction would literally melt them in moments.
Likewise, if she does make a creature whose very alkalized, the solution would be to spray them with a strong acid.
>>
Rolled 49

>>27424231

Hmm, yes it would wouldn't it? On another note, before you pointed that out this scenario played through my head.

>Acidic fleshbeast appears!

So military dudes. . .
They're probably gonna be the most dangerous enemy we've ever faced bar SWH.
Even at the loss of all their mobile fortresses their still charging through the deep swamp (though, that may be also because we lured a bunch out but still it's the damn DEEP SWAMP).
They're not simple bandits, not even high tech bandits, they're a psionically active force hailing from the ancient superpower of the old world and having fought the Heart of the Swamp in her own lair.
For all we know, they might even have sufficient psionic users to make their own semi-hivemind.

. . .any idea's?
>>
Rolled 24

>>27425802

They do have a semi-hivemind, or at least some sort of communication that doesn't require noise. The psionic commandos anyway.

One of the psionic commandos (although admittedly it may've been their most powerful...no guarantees though) immobilized Ramona's Massive-tier Forsaken Bandit last time we fought them.

They also have tech that's capable of shorting out our vehicles without destroying them, the psionic commandos deploy this tech. The commandos are also sufficiently stealthy and elite as to slice+dice Memor without the Memor even getting a chance to fight back. And THAT was before they fought all of the Heart of the Swamp's hordes and won. They've undoubtedly improved.

That's just the psionic commandos.

The Super mutants have higher stats across the board than any one of our units, and they have military training and are hot on the heels of the biggest battle in centuries. The military training alone would make them superior to our forces, as would their mutations, but atop that they have weapons that can take down Deep Swamp Monsters (you know, the ones we struggled to keep from nomming us even with a very effective and extensive defense system at our base) with ease.

Last time we fought them they were almost certainly deploying only a token force, as they considered us a small and relatively weak faction. This time they know we have a broodmother so they'll have deploy in full force, the supermutants will be frothing at the mouth for our blood, and the commandos likely will be too, as we just awakened She Who Hungers.

Working in our favor though:

They didn't have very many vehicles last time. It's possible that they were only partially deployed against us, and that's why such was the case (it's quite likely they were only partially deployed against us, in fact)...but they're also coming off one of the biggest, most intense battles since The Fall so we can reasonably hope that they still don't have many vehicles.

>>
Rolled 92

>>27426159

Cont.

Working in our favor though:

They're also probably pretty exhausted and demoralized (maybe not, they did win) so hopefully OP will give them some sort of penalty in combat.

Aside from those two things though, we don't have anything working for us.

We do have Richard/Wil (Richard was obviously accompanied by Wil and the Chalsyn Soldiers) working on getting something as an ace-in-the-hole, but OP has stated that even calling in all his safety-valve measures wouldn't be enough to save us so.

Also we can hope/pray that She Who Hungers pops up and murderfucks the Supermutants because She maybe has one of the Psionic commando members captive. That's likely to be as bad for us as for them though.
>>
Rolled 79

Rolled 79

We certainly don't stand any chance in a conventional fight. Their forces are superior in every category (except, possibly numbers. But it's likely they outnumber us too.).

So we have to fight unconventionally. I suggest, again, that we delve into psionics and hope we can pull something out of our asses.

That's what I'm hoping. Also don't forget the big battle of the 4 armies is reaching out to us. We might even see a battle of 6 armies if things get tangled up.

And we're smack in the middle of it all.

Also to be noted, is I'm not entirely sure if King is gonna sit this out.

Scouts report.

We found Archie the Arch Brood King...he is sorta dead. Not before taking out Mobile Fortress though. Seriously though its been entire months and the Southern Swamp is still completely littered with wrecks and corpses. According to the other Sister the battle was beyond vicious and unlike the previous battle this one was spread out which cost the enemy dearly. Sadly their experience prevailed then they retreated to recover. That is when the whole psionic thing happened which convinced them they were search in the wrong place especially once they found out about Clora. Still not going to keep her sister around though. She made it abundantly clear that all brood forces were wrecked and combined with that strange psionic device that ruined her mother's work...she is leaving. Only stuck around long enough to get a hold of her sister while she prepared for her departure. She told us some interesting things though.

Their mother was slumbering for 2 reasons.

1 to locate her wayward children while mutating.

2 to contain the swamp.

The monsters throughout the swamp were gently contained by her. As in why even the weakest monsters never fled the swamp was due to her influence. The Deep monsters on the other hand she used to boost the development of her Brood. Problem is that isn't the whole story.
>>
>>27436929
Was the heart of the swamp responsible for monster proliferation? With her death can we expect the deep swamp to be less deep swampy?

>>
Rolled 49

>>27436929
As it turns out dear ol mommy was using the monsters to keep the things underground...underground. She as when she tried to crack it she largely failed. So she used the monsters to keep them contained while her forces built tunnels, hives, and lairs underground to form a buffer to contain them...which we sorta exploded. Literally. Now that precious buffer was gone only thing was keeping them contained was the Monsters...which we sorta expelled out of the swamp. Worst part is it was the fodder ones which will naturally draw out the bigger ones. Basically all the containment methods we completely wrecked. Plus that whole device lit us up like a giant neon sign for who knows what AND awoke whatever was down there. Plus what directives she has given them for her death got wiped when we activated the device. Basically monsters are not longer contained which no longer contains everything else.

>>27436986
She was indeed partially responsible for them to degree anyway. As for her death the Deep Swamp will spread, collapse, and then explode outward.

>>27437016
Didn't say.

>>27437024
She didn't say.

In any case Clora'Zels sister is leaving the swamp with the remnants of her forces. Apparently she doesn't plan to stick around and plans to use her sister as a decoy while she makes her getaway.

You are Gregor a super mutant serving under General Dukov. Right now you are heading to finish off the Brood threat once and for all. At least until your lines got paralyzed by some new threat. Who apparently was causing untold havoc. Lucky for you and your team were way out there scouting. Unlucky for you couldn't do anythig to help them dealing with whatever it was that was until you recieved orders to come back to base...which means something has changed big time. Now the question rises however just HOW the hell your gonna do it that when the massive battle that has been unending for months has just encompassed your position.

Forces available.

Jar Jaw Juggernaut. Jar Jaw is old as balls itself according to the rumor mill.

Fred Commando. From Cortanas force only human among your number.

Fran Specialist. Part of Special Operations got attached to your forces for some unknown reason. Despite her rank she doesn't order anyone around even yourself.

Soldier Jen. strange survivor picked her up when you and her forces got caught in the Gigantic Battle. She was the only survivor among her forces. While you suffered heavy losses its how you realized how screwed you all were.
Right now you have several options.

To go through the underground and prey you can find your way out again.

Punch through Bandit Siege Lines.

To pierce through the Ghoulish Barricades.

Finally there is always fighting through the Zombie and Monster hordes.

Then...there is what Jen suggested pick up from whatever group she is from.

Zombies - Hungry sons of bitches. Sentients and ferals. Maybe vechs but mostly infantry.
Monsters - Big. Bad. Ugly. And generally infantry can't do shit against them.
Ghouls - Also hungry. Sentients and ferals. Maybe vechs. Mostly infantry. Heals with Radiation.
Bandits - The Odd bandits. Lots of advanced vechs and tech. Not exactly the usual raiding pillaging type, so more rational and level headed.

Supermutants - Like us. Only better. At everything.

Zombies-hungry sons of bitches always starving unlike ghouls. All feral yet somehow have a sort of hivemind with they way they behave. Mostly infantry with mutations galore as support. Weaknesses for basic zombie is taking out the brain stem/spine is the quickest way to kill. Otherwise its just lotsa damage mutant variants unfortunately do not necessarily go by the same rules.

Monster- Big. bad. and ugly. Infrantry can't do shit against the huge variants. Not to mention the variety of them no true weakness for them all or allows us to know general capabilities. Luckily for us we are used to this and know how to compensate.

Ghouls- hungry bastards the lot of them. Mostly Feral with a good hard sentient base. Mostly infantry with increasingly heavy vehicle support. Radiation heals them and unlike zombies all of them are amazingly agile, quite tough, and strong. No easy weaknesses besides starving them but starving them out but that doesn't kill or makes them crazy. So its just good ol fashion eat lead and not nukes.

Bandits- Greedy and bloodthirsty savages. Love their toys and not reliant on infantry. Apparently they too learned their lesson in that regard. Only identifiable weakness is their inability to take care of themselves without being depraved.

Our own forces are made up of advanced super mutants led by General Dukov and the Outcasts led by Cortana and her mate. Both forces are highly trained. Capabilities is everything but fliers still got them just know better then to use them. Hopefully that changes soon once we break out of the swamp. Only weakness is our inability to reproduce our equipment. But that has been nicely fixed thanks to tapping into old bases and trading.

So is that exclusive to us or generally just a taboo that other have done in the past?
>>
>>27438604
Its a massive taboo to unleash something like zombies or ghouls upon considering what they do.
>>
It was decided that you would be best to take off with whoever Jen's forces are. After all its not unlike a detour would be too bad you were quite out there after all. So you got an excuse. Only problem is you have to get at a clearing that is currently abandoned but not for long. So you and your forces booked it over and there bunkered down. While Jen called in support. Which was when the artillery began to rain down around you. At first you thought they were targeting you until the ground erupted from under you. That was when you found yourself fighting amongst a sea of monsters as explosions rained around you. Then came the ghouls and zombies. Looks like you were gonna get caught in that 4 way battle after all...

Luckily it didn't take too long for the air support to arrive for pick up. Only problem was hanging on. Which you did mostly by hiding under the corpses of the all fallen. But you got picked up and found yourself in strange company veering off away from where your supposed to be going. Jen promised you that they would take you back home problem is they didn't know where that was yet.

You are Clora'Zel and you are really fucking bored. Ever since the incident with Prophet your forces have gradually evolved into Many and with the cloning facility/pools they don't even really need you for reproduction shit even mutagen work is nigh nonexistent.. So instead you get to lay out in a center of a gigantic 24/7 orgy that you swear keeps getting bigger. Now however they want to know how Brood communication works. Which is annoying as its a mixture of gestures, scents and psionic communication. Now they want to know how to strengthen it...well I suppose some work could be done psionicly and preventing other broods from jacking it. Its just so complicated its quite rare anyone tries anything and it never ends well for those who do. The brood mind is not a good place to be for an outsider and the rest of the brood is evolving so quickly communication methods are in constant turmoil. Bah well suppose its better then tinkering with...this 'tech' that you have tried to learn about out of sheer boredom.

Psionic communication is a complicated affair. Lots of ways to do...and not so good ways to block it out. Real problem that.

Flying Fleshbeasts "mosquito" and fleshbeast parasite.
Mosquito sucks the blood out of biologicals, while depositing this parasites as well as eggs of itself. The parasites multiply, making their way to the brain to control it via chemical/broodming action. And after a time, the monster becomes so engorged by the feeding mosquito eggs it bursts into a swarm of fleshbeasts mosquitoes. Also capable of displaying aerial images to the broodmind both above and on level with the swamp for recon.
As well as strengthening her own control over her brood as far as possible
>as well as whatever she plans to do.
Give her free reign of that

We can load those into shells and pierce them in big enemies or rain them down on a horde.

The problem is size user. Make them too big yet capable of piercing through they get wiped out. That is why Clora'Zel mother decided to use psionics to gently 'prod' them. Don't have to waste time developing new strains and uses less resources. Too bad we don't know how she did it though.

See the thing about crits is, the negative ones build up. You make a crite, try to fix it, another crit makes it worse on top of you have to fix the new problem it causes and you have to change your whole scheme to deal with one problem onto yet another. Good crits, when they ever happen, don't build up blessings.

WARNING WARNING
BRAIN CONTROL PARASITES RELEASED IN MASS WARNING WARNING.

UNKNOWN AMOUNT OF TIME LATER.

...its been a while long while since you and your hive went into hibernation to evolve. When you awoken...everything seemed empty...the normal constant action in the background was entirely absent. That is when you heard some clicking gargling sounds as a Viroz approached.

About time you awoke like the quiet?

...no what happened?

Mind control parasite got released...was a special unknown strain. Had connections to Brood Mother but more. Entire Hivemind when down and out as your brood did. Only ones spared were the Viroz...we did our best keeping things running. We succeeded somewhat had to disable EDE though. Otherwise this entire facility and surrounding area when of been purged. The battle made its way over here ghouls were allowed in to help defend. We held them off and the battles once more began to spread. Its been chaos this entire swamp as turned into a warzone. Bandits, mutants, zombies, soldiers, and ghouls everywhere fighting. Deep Swamp doesn't exist any more per a say rather the entire swamp has become like that...sorta. So much fighting luckily said fighting as kept whatever it was underground staying down there. Richard, soldiers and the Vile Blood Bandits took over a bunker and some small surrounding turf. Problem is we are seperate from them my a huge amount of enemies.

What about the people the hivemind?

...well the bad news is the entire Hivemind got infected no one was spared but the Viroz. Good news is your Brood assimilated it. Problem is well...the obvious.

Ah what about Prophet he should of at least-

Nope he got nailed to.

And my brood?

Spawn all of them.

Well, I'm out guys. Have fun
>>
Rolled 75

>>27440947
Damn it...all that time slowly evolving my brood wasted and now the Memor are lost...and I wasted my time evolving into a Brood Queen.

No you didn't that is what saved them. Otherwise that parasite would of worked differently instead you hi jacked it. In exchange for us all still existing however you sort of grown to entirely dominate said hivemind.

That was not how it was supposed to be. It was to be Many NOT One.

Yeah well at least you don't have to worry about something jacking them due to them all...well yeah.

How about a cure?

Richard already sent one over. By that time however you had already grown to dominate the entire hivemind. It may have saved us all but it also damned us.

Even with everyone cured?

You evolved allowed to grow stronger others weren't so lucky. So naturally you grew to dominate.

So the parasite?

With Viroz, parasite, and infected samples Richard was able to cook up a cure. We are now immune such things...other then the one we got hit with. Richard removed that one to. People are back...but changed. They too evolved got stronger and closer together. In any case were back...kinda.

Pretty much we evolved and you grew much stronger.

...not really sure my Brood evolved like other broods but that is the problem. It was supposed to be different.

How is everyone then?

Changed.

In the what way?

Brought closer together the being One and then Many did a real number of them. Hah if you thought the Memor moved creepily before...

Well at least their all back.

Yeah pretty much.

Clora'Zel new abilities

Queens Domination-None can stand before and not bow down.

Many is One- On demand Clora'Zel can force the Many to Become One. Has side effects but greatly amplifies Mind effects and Unison.

One is Many- Clora'Zel can now break up Hivemind or Psionic connections forcefully severing them all from each other. Hope you like being lonely.

Hivemind is I- anyone targeting the hivemind has to go through Clora'Zel first. And she will know.

Mother's Influence- All 'children'(members of the Hivemind) are strongly linked together even without Hivemind connection they move as if they do. With it on the other hand...amplifies the affects.

Figure out conventional psionic arms/generally get better weapons and offensive capabilities. We may be stronger, but we still don't have the guns to take down the swamp monsters (let alone mobile bases)

Allign ourselves with another faction to gain fodder troops and show that we can actually be friends with people sometimes!

Gunfire everywhere. Mostly made up of Gauss Rifles and heavy elemental. A figure streaks across the screen. Said figure drops down among a group of enemies. They tried to open fire but paused when it was revealed the figure had strapped infants on himself in a sort of crude armor...He laughed as he opened fire that slight hesitation costing the entire Squad of Super Mutants their life-

Another feed shows a reaver having set up a chair and table in front of a security camera. He is using fine silverware and devouring a crying infant alive. Laughing all the while taunting them-

Another feed shows a Reaver appear amongst a group of civilians with heavy protection. Said Reaver drops down behind a pregnant woman breaking her arm and using her as living shield while he guns down their escort before setting himself upon the Civilians-

Another feed shows female reaver during the Great 4 Way battle and one of our tectus scouts who is clearly dying. She shoots in knee cap forcing him awake for questioning. Before she starts raping him and while setting the both of them on fire-

That is the feeds I was able to find of Reavers near the swamp.

Big whoop. Another tier of evil.

It's true we shouldn't shatter diplomacy (although suffice to say we've lasted oh so many years without it, really we haven't even made use of it since 2-3 chapters ago). But I doubt the others we are capable of communing with would care. Ghouls wouldn't, since they're not super-mutants. Bandits have their own crimes and standards (or lack thereof), that'd be hypocrisy for them and I doubt they'd care either. Hillbilly's wouldn't even give half a shit. Really the only one we're alienating is the Supermutants (whom diplomacy is already out of the question thanks to our fleshbrood).

And thing is, even if they do catch on, they'll still never be able to tell which one might be a real hostage or not.

That said, it's only a suggestion.

Irewin started ghoul wrangling and traded them to the ghouls trying to deal with the gigantic zombie hive. He managed to acquire 1 Ghoulish ST and 2 Ghoulish Bug Tanks for trade for them.

Richard said clora could design anything biological related easily. Only problem would be if you went mechanical. In that regard Clora has several designs to offer that Richard oversaw.

Swarm Vats-for detailed needs

Sac Nest-for basic needs

Egg Garden-when you need something REAL big done.

Infestation Seed- wanna corrupt a mechanical?

Hellhole- for your ultimate OH SHIT

Here's my vote

Basic 1
>Using what little crystals we have, attempt to make a working model of
1. the Psionic railgun (for now we'll use regular metal ammo)
2. the Silent Megaphone (like the screamer grenades, except we can't make grenades since they waste crystals)
Basic 2
>Send scouts to the zombie hive to the south east (there's nothing southwest). See if we can't tip the scales somehow.
Basic 3
> Begin creation of the things mentioned (Swarm Vats, Sac Nest, ECT. ECT.)
>EXCEPT the infestation seeds. We do that after we make the hellhole.
>>
Rolled 68

>>27443157
We can only construct 1 user as they are only rough ideas that need to be finalized and then constructed.

Tabula states maybe with some sort of crystal you could override whatever it is that drives them.

Prophet states that there was whatever Bob was...

Clora states they have some sort of drive that controls them. Maybe tinkering with that vey psionics can influence their actions.

>>27443211
Its how Tabula entertains itself is tending to the garden. Scraps however he doesn't really give out as he figured out a way to use them to sprout new clusters. Currently he wonders if they could be used to speed up growth as well.
>>
Rolled 6

>>27443221
no, the less we use them the more we will have
>>
Rolled 68

>>27443253
That's the point. We make a gun that uses conventional ammo/psionic instead of turning them grendades or shells out of crystals and we conserve.

We already have "some" crystals harvested for use. Let's at least make prototypes.

We're not taking anymore from Tabula for a while, but we have something we can use with right now that will only collect dust.

Rolled 72

I like this, but I think that we should reconsider Basic 1.

Crystal growing has hit a dead end. It hit a dead end even before we underwent The Change. But OP gave us a hint here:

>>27439671

I think we need to send Tabula Rasa out into the Wastelands to search for where the Prophet found the crystals and figure out what it takes to grow them. We should have him accompanied by Tectus and Rix and Vizen and Virox.

Also, in light of this>>27443236

Basic 3:
Begin creation of Swam Vats. It'd be nice to be able to build semi-complex smallish biological entities with ease.

Then again maybe it'd be better to go for the Egg Garden, as we lack heavy-hitting things.

Rolled 88

>>27443271
lets give Tabula some more time, he already had a lead on making crystal grow faster.

Alright, I'm cool wit this.
>>
Rolled 5

>>27443271

I think that crystals are a bit too valuable to be put to expendable purposes. ESPECIALLY before we have the key for stimulating their growth, though purpose-built shield-penetrators and stuff would be fine (but again, not yet)
>>
Rolled 26

>>27443317

Fine, I'll throw my vote to this.

>Send scouts to zombie hive to the south east. See if we can't tip the scales somehow.
Make sure they're staying out of trouble though. It's strictly a scouting mission.
>>
Rolled 11

>>27443317
guess this satisfies everyone
>>27443357 this though
>>
Rolled 16

>>27443332
But certainly a gun that runs on normal ammo and psionic power isn't expendable.
Are we just going to let the crystals we have collected sit there?
>>
Rolled 100

>>27443378

Yes, we are. (not that we have a choice because Tabula)

I do want to send Tabula out on that mission in a turn or two though.
>>
Rolled 74

>>27443378
we are going to use them to grow even more crystals. harvested crystals grow into more crystals.

>>27443417
please? at least a random event? we have gotten way to many 1s lately

Wranglers have started wrangling up ferals and set up some crude pins for them.
500 feral ghouls acquired

Scouts sent to the South East they didn't get very close before they stumbled on a zombie horde that was wondering around and had to beat a hasty retreat.

Swarm Vats under construction.

In any case will start the new thread soon. Don't forget to archive or vote.

>>27443429
No.

>>27443435
Cannot declare it an action after the roll.

Considering how it was worded however I will consider it an action for this next turn.

Question EDE, do zombie's have AA capabilities?
We do have flying creatures
And we do have Novakovs that spray radiation

If we were to start spraying radiation over the zombie territory, would that give us and the ghouls an increasing edge every single day?
>>
Rolled 80

>>27443479
so does this like give us a good rep or something?

wasted 100s (Deep Sigh) gonna be that kinda night.
>>

ask it in the next thread
>>
Rolled 70

>>27443486
Bummer 2 wasted 100s in the same thread so quickly and same anon to boot. HAH.

>>27443487
They do indeed in fact there are zombies that FLY.

As for Novakovs their range is limited so effectiveness is minimal.
>>
>>27443518
Better a wasted 100 than a used 1.
>Good rep
>Us
>For the next 10 years

We can build trust and reliability repuation with the other factions, but the "good" aspect is something we ought not to worry about. Evil can make good business if used correctly.
>>
Rolled 38

>>27443538
didnt you say we could use that first 100 on this next action?
>>
>>27443538
>As for Novakovs their range is limited so effectiveness is minimal.
Hmm, we need to look into researching giant fleshbeast mutations based of Novakons. To spray radiation the likes of which the ghouls can't resist and gives us the healing bonus.
