You look around the battlefield, all of the lighter mercenaries are dead or lay bleeding and dying. About 50 of the heavier mercenaries are kneeling, a few men relieving them of their armor, and piling their weapons away from them. "Tie this wench, and have her placed under guard. she is to be kwpt alive, but the priority goes to our men." You attempt to sheathe your sword, but the damage it took after being super-heated makes that impossible. You see Collins sword stuck in the ground, the abnormally tall dwarf helping a wounded Finian to his feet, the latter still fuming and raging about something, one leg broken, the bone having punched clean through the flesh. You walk over to Cornelius and offer him your good arm, which he accepts. "That went well" you announce to the barely conscious Captain, the two good legs between you and him slowly heading towards one of your medical tents.

The 'helpless' man was a criminal that had nothing of value. The incredibly dangerous woman has potentially super important intel if we can get it. No one here said spare her btw. We just need her for information.

Get our wounded checked as well as ourselves. Find out if there was anything in the caravan other than normal supplies.

Sansa walks up to you with two lists "I have the updated unit roster... but I may need to change it again once I know more about Finians condition. The wagons were mostly food and mead. Although there were a few Meteorite ingots sent this way for some reason. If we had a fire hot enough to work the Meteorite I'm sure our smiths could make at least a few very nice weapons. So you need anything else from me right now?" Sansa asks, eyeing you and your equally injured companion speculatively

And as your friend I would rather you at least have ointment applied to your arm. I dont think it would taste very well cooked, noe that you would appreciate Fluffy and Scaly eating a nice piece of roasted arm in the night." At that Sansa buts in between you and Cornelius, and escorts the two of your to the hospital tents. While your rank allows you to wave off the surgeons, barbers and doctors to work on your other men, theres nothing stopping Sansa from taking a jar of the burn ointment (requisitioned from the duchy for its effectiveness at healing burns) and applying it to your crisped arm. As the Sun begins to set you go to Finians bed, not only is his leg in a splint, but his head is bandaged, one eye totally covered, and both arms look torn to shreds, he is unconscious. Bone tired you limp back to your tent after finally having your leg stitched back together.

You wake up the next day, rather unpleasantly... as you rolled onto your burnt arm... its before sunset, but you have prisoners to interogate.

Yoiu level a harsh glare at her "Lamynus, the Succubus queen, the bitch of destruction and lust will accept an ugly, broken whore who couldn't even bring one man low? In an age where the gods are naught but whispers and rumors this so called deity will expend the energy to repair the broken features of one failed pawn?" your voice is a low rumble, and your are holding her by her inflamed, broken cheeks "There is only one being who can damn or save you right now, and he is most certainly not divine. Do you want to live?" you ask, backing away slightly, and raising your voice.

"Y-yes" is all the elf can manage.

"You know how I made you look... and why Khalless kept you, both reasons are gone now. If you wish to live... pray to me, not the whore whose graces I have expelled you from." Youre voice raises even higher as you say this, you turn your back to the breaking elf. "Denounce your so called husband, and your weak gods, for they have all abandoned you to me as surely as I could abandon you to the cold, or to any other number of unpleasant things. Denounce them now and mean it."

"I-I denounce my husband, I denounce my gods... and I pledge myself to you." The sobbing elf replies, you have a hard time picking out the words... but you can tell that she is sincere.

"I do not want your service, only your knowledge; and justice. How useful the former proves will determine how quickly I shall mette out the latter. Now, tell me about..."

    >what do you want to know from her?
    >you needed 10 or less to break her, haha you guys finally lucked out

Ahhhhh yeah. Intel ahoy. Let's get actual numbers from this woman on what the rebels have, as well as where the brazier is kept/how often it is moved as well as what the dorf and the other wife can do in terms of magic.

What his Khaless's plan? What the hell is he gathering so many troops for?

Damn it's late. I'm headed to bed. Happy questing everyone.

    we want to know everything

the forces khaless commands , the powers Garagush has granted him and the artifacts under his control

also anything on the other wife would be good too
    >> Anonymous 10/11/10(Mon)03:43 No.12404852
well i guess a sorceress could come in handy. I guess ask her what her husbands plans were and exact numbers of enemy units.

that brunch would be nice too best way to fix crispy arms in my opinion

Damn straight, I'm back to my low rolling ways. Just gotta get in there before everyone else. Ask her about where her husband is now and how many people he has with him, where they are headed, and what kind of powers he posses.

Fair enough. See you then hopefully if I can make it.

Hmm - other stuff to ask... Is the dorfs hold on the non-humans and mercenaries completely solid or are there any dissenters? What are the defenses in the ruins like? I can't think of anything else at the moment... Tomorrow it will have to be then.

Part of me is tempted to spare this woman since we've completely broken her and it might be useful to have an elf on hand for information on their nation and any info she might have on the old gods. Thread archived btw.

    Other things to do:

Speak with Collins, inquired to Finian's mental state and what happened on the field today.

We need to give him a reason to live now. (OOC: Pax, how good a smith is he?) Speak with him on the forging of a new blade. A mastercrafted one that he can bring back with him with pride to restore the honour of his family.

Find out who that young budding leader of the archers was and have a good chat with him.

Provide positive feedback to the elf. Give her food and drink and a chair to sit in.
