    22 KB Slaanesh Angels OP !vv/Nr3MYLo 05/27/11(Fri)21:47 No.15076519

    Continuing this.

We've manged to create Chaos Marine chapter via custom Rites of Battle creation rules. Summarized, the chapter is:

    - Is a renegade chapter
    - Serves Slaanesh
    - Fell to Chaos due to fighting Heresy with Heresy
    - Progenitor is the Blood Angels
    - Is thoroughly devoted to Slaanesh
    - Believes corruption above all and is willing to work with mutants/abhumans
    - Marines have freakish skin
    - Marines are obsessed with getting close to their foes
    - Marines are skilled with ranged weapons and pray to Slaanesh before battle
    - Figure of legend is a champion/battle-brother who committed great atrocities on the Eldar
    - Homeworld is a liberated prison planet with ruined forests and a distant rule
    - Combat Doctrine is a mix of close combat and ranged fighting
    - There are no Sorcerers but there are still some psykers
    - Special equipment is unique daemon engines
    - Chapter reveres Slaanesh above all others
    - Has extra astartes but not too many
    - Ally is a pirate faction
    - Enemy is Orks or specific Waaagh!/Warboss

Name is currently the Glistening Host with a death company known as the Flayed Dancers. Important characters are the figure of legend, a daemonette named Skin Dancer who converted the chapter to Slaanesh, and a Chaos Lord based off Marquis de Sade.

Now all we need is a good drawfag...
    >> Anonymous 05/27/11(Fri)21:52 No.15076562
To expand, we're looking for more fluff.

The tl;dr of what he have so far is they used to be a successor chapter of the Blood Angels, and the Red Thirst was extremely strong in them. The chapter began falling to Khorne, but Slaanesh saw an opportunity and sent a Daemonette named Skin Dancer to remove their Rage and Thirst. All they had to do was sign over their souls to ol' Spikedick. They agreed, and the Inquisition declared them traitors.

Now they fully embrace the worship of Slaanesh, and charge into melee with guns blazing in order to get soaked in gore and the chaos of melee combat.

Khorne is still not too pleased he lost them, though, and fights for control as subtly as he can.

We still need the chapter colors and some more background stuff. Also, crunch/Deathwatch rules are in the other thread.

How does that fit together? Wouldn't it make more sense to make them a melee-oriented chapter? It'd also add that extra bit of unnecessary brutality, slow death and inflicted pain to their fighting style.

Back when the chapter was still loyalist, Master Marquis de Sade (or whatever we're gonna call him) didn't know what to do about the Black Rage. So then Skin Dancer appears and he strikes a deal with her, trading his soul for Slaanesh's knowledge. He then uses this knowledge to save his chapter from Khorne and becomes obsessed with the arts of Slaanesh himself.

Before battle, slaves and cultists are fed to it, to waken the Pain Centipede for combat.

I believe since they believe mutation to be so great, they'd try and recruit or corrupt any mutants or abhumans they come across to join them. Those who prove worthy are turned into Chaos Marines, those who fail are either used as cannon fodder or further mutated by apothecaries into inhuman beasts.

If we're still on the topic of the chaos engine, then I have an idea.

They're Slaaneshi, so they have a want for something that inflicts pain, suffering, and torment. They're ranged, but with a love for close combat, so maybe something fast with a truckload of slow-killing type ranged weaponry, maybe acidic, since they have a love for corruption and they have freaky skin, or fire.

Maybe something that crawls around like a defiler on several spiderlike legs, but lower to the ground, and faster. The front of it could be some sort of skin-mask of deformed flesh with a great gaping maw that swallows enemies in its path whole. The middle and back of the machine would house a furnace or storage unit in which enemies are dissolved, then fired back out of a cannon mounted on top of the machine along with shrapnel and other acidic compounds to inflict moral and physical damage. Arms could be attached to the front to scoop the most enemies possible into the mouth, and each one could have a flamethrower or plasma gun to melt flesh with.

You could have it use hookshot arms/flails to 'feed' its iron maiden-esque device which keeps the victims alive inside, using that pain/pleasure switch thing. Maybe like a land sarlaac, but more Slaaneshi.

Field observations of the beast known as "Mother".
A massive worm shaped Demon Engine that grinds forward on earth shaking tread. A large maw at the front of the beast draws prey in using hooked lashes and the aid of its handlers.

Once the prey is brought in mechanical and demonic appendages secure the prey where it is pumped full of a constantly changing blend of orgasmic opiates and excruciating stimulants. While held in the fluxing embrace of pleasure and pain their vital fluids are pumped out slowly to ensure the survival of the prey.
The fluids are pumped to holding bladders near the rear of the beast and finally to nozzles located along the exterior skin of the construct.
Warriors of the Glistening Host will visit mother before battle to "Suckle". A process where the warrior exposes himself to the gory spray of Mother allowing the life fluid of a thousand slaves to embrace them. The fluids are absorbed by the Warriors mutated skin conveying the concentrated experiences of the tortured slaves prolonged existence to the suckling child.

Just after transmission of these observations by inquisition field operative. Communication was lost. The Emperor Protects.

    WRITEFAGGAN!

It was in the sweltering heat of the black holds, filled with all the filth and viscera of our twisted and mutated kind that I first met the holy warriors of the Dark Prince. An entire colony of twist brutes and mutant gangs had stowed away over the years aboard the ship, hiding in the bowels and in the deep, dark places even the most staunch of the False Emperor's servants would not dare venture. Dark things lurked those holds, hunting us in our hovels as we feasted on vermin and each other. So wretched was our existances, we were thankful for the lack of light. Better to never see the twisted forms we were born cursed with or the horrors we had doe to survive year after year in the infinite space between the cold stars.

    Then they came.

Light and noise and screams, such sights my eyes had never seen in the black holds. Horror and beauty. Pain and pleasure. Such magnificence, words could barely describe it; the Dark Prince's most ardent warriors marching through the halls of the ship we called our home and slaughtering the Imperials within. THey found us in the dark, their armor so bright and beautiful. I remember that I wept. I wept at seeing such beautiful creatures walking amoungst us.

They loved us. They took us from the darkness and into the service of the Dark Prince. They tought us our flesh, twisted and mutated as it was, was a gift. Not a curse. A blessing of the Dark Prince. A sign of his favor; that all should be as beautiful as we.

I owe my life and soul to the Glistening Host and Slaanesh. My masters, now and eternally.

Blood Angels fall as often as any other Space Marines. Besides, the Glistening Host were excommunicated before they fell to chaos. Its not exactly uncommon for Blood Angel successors to get excommunicated (The Knights of Blood are a renegade chapter, while there have been calls to excommunicate the Flesh Tearers).

Their close range shooting thing could actually be sort of a denial thing. They love denying others pleasure even more than they love it themselves, these guys are crazy about orgasm denial. They love staying just out of reach, lots of rapid fire and assault weapons and dancing outside of charge range while firing. Just to be bitches and because the enemies frustrations get them off.

It also works as an excellent counterpart to Khorne's melee focus that we seem to be slipping towards with all these silly combi-weapons.

Also, for the rival, how about Chaos Orks of some sort? One of the old Codex (Codex Daemon Hunters or something? For the freakish skin, I believe it would be awesome if they shared a symbiotic relationship with the black carapace. Seeing as how this would make their armour almost literally part of their body, they would be more agile and swift than normal marines.

I think making them skinless is lazy and stupid.

Also, filigree or partially holed armor(like the one on pic)could be used. You know, so that they can get soaked in blood while remaining armoured.

...but how about the Death Companies? They would have a lot of potential. Like the loyalist Death Companies, they would consist of marines who went insane due to the instability of the geneseed. But not in the same way, of course. They wouldn't go into a blind rage. The centuries of drug-abuse together with the corrupted geneseed would slowly increase their sensitivity, eventually to such heights that it is impossible for them to restrain themselves from self-mutilation. A little bit like...if anybody has seen Naked Blood, no?

They are brought to the battlefield in special reinforced wagons where they are restrained like Hannibal Lecter, strapped down with a mouthguards. But when they reach the enemy, the straps open, releasing the Death Company. They would tear the enemy apart with their bare hands, hoping the enemy to do the same to them.

    Ideas? Suggestions? Yes? No?

Flawed Ones are an Alpha Legion warband that got mentioned in some Emperor's Nightmare fluff (they tried to do to the EN what the Alpha Legion did to the Crimson Consuls)

The Ivory Huntsmen are a Night Lords warband who travel the galaxy searching for worthy prety to hunt. They have glorious moustaches and wear pith hats. They have a battle barge called the "Heart of Darkness" which they return to every few centuries to tell tales, smoke pipes and show of their trophies.

I mean, since there's a Slaaneshi cult among the nobles there. And since the Marquis is a former noble, he could be the origin of said cult.

In my mind it goes something like this:

    >Andalus becomes the homeworld of the Host
    >They rule the populace directly, prominent Marines taking noble titles and becoming important politicians and landowners
    >The Marquis starts a Slaaneshi cult among the inner circle of the Chapter, kills the Chapter Master and the Chapter goes rogue
    >Gauntlets are brought in to purge the Host
    >They drive the Host from Andalus and are awarded the planet to be their new homeworld

Well the Host's backstory was that back when they were the Blood Dragons (loyalist name) they were suffering from the Black Rage and Thirst. Then Slaanesh sent a daemonette who corrupted them and saved them from Khorne. The Ordo Malleus later found out and sent the Grey Knights to fight the chapter.

It would be unlikely that the Imperium would allow a known Slaaneshi chapter to rule over one of their worlds.

    I've got an idea.

How about when the Blood Dragons were corrupted by Slaanesh, they were on Andalus with the Brotherhood? Then they began corrupting the nobles of the planet, and when it was realized the chapter was Slaaneshi a combined force of Grey Knights and Brotherhood marines expelled them from the planet?
    >> Anonymous 05/29/11(Sun)13:20 No.15093424
    >>15093366

So they ruled that homeworld when they were the Blood Dragons then. Maybe they had the belief that civilized and refined behavior would counter the Thirst. That's why they got so involved with the civilian populace, they wanted to put on an air of nobility and grace, believing it would keep the animal in them at bay. But it didn't work. The Marquis had a huge palace where he entertained many guests, he was an excellent performer and writer of theatre, played electro-dulcimer and hosted salons for writers and nobles. But in his heart he was being consumed by visions of slaughter. The pretty servant girls that attended to his chambers, how he longed to rip their heads off their spines. The arrogant, pretty nobles that came to his receptions, he would have the most intense impulse to murder them all with their dinner implements and then spread their innards all over the table and feast... He couldn't restrain himself.

And one night, when his urges were unbearable, his party was visited by a strange guest. A woman of unknown lineage, but obviously noble, for what other woman could carry herself so proudly and gracefully? She embodied all that he strove for. Elegance, refinement, civilization. So he pursued her, not for sexual pleasure, but for her calming effect on his secret, shameful urges. Because whenever she was nearby, the Thirst receded in him, the blood calmed itself.

And finally, she revealed her nature to him, and he was overjoyed when she told him of her master and the gifts she could offer, not just to him but to all her brothers...

Well, it could be related to the Marquis' fall. He knew that the woman was a daemon of the Prince of Excess, but he had the idea that he was the one using her for the benefit of his chapter. He saw her as a tool, a means to cure himself and his brethren of the affliction that raged in them. Little by little, her suggestions were accepted as Chapter doctrine. Icons of the Emperor were replaced by other symbols, their meaning obscured. Daily prayers and supplications to the Throne on Terra were substituted for "meditation sessions" using Warp-enhanced foci that throbbed with sensual energy, calming the Battle-Brothers and soothing their spirits. But instead of the Thirst, the Chapter was visited by other afflictions. The amulets and meditations lost their power over time, requiring gruesome recharge rituals that involved mutilation and death of civilians. The Marines became ensnared in the web of addiction and thrill-seeking that Slaanesh spun for them, until there was no way out. The Brethren that rejected the inevitable fall were killed as sacrifices, the Chapter shrugging off all remaining pretense of Loyalism and descending into hedonic orgies of pain and pleasure, all to overwhelm the senses and keep the Thirst at bay.
