    Con't from >>15445375

The slave shivers in a corner of the blacksmith's crystallized hovel as you don your cloak again. You feel good, sated. Ready to once again set forth for the glory of the Raven God, which is more than what you can say for the dark elf as her trembling hands reach for her tunic. It's of little matter to you, and you tell her too hurry up. She slips on the dirty leather tunic and attempts to pick up her old armor, but her shaking fingers are not up for the task and she throws them to the ground, disgusted. She looks up at you with hatred and malice, an emotion you cannot and care not to fathom.

You have more important matters to attend to. It is the dead of night now, with both moons high in the sky. Perhaps not the most fortuitous as you would have liked Morrslieb to be in full glory, but it is still a better omen than Mannslieb in full wax.

You crook your finger and the elf takes a deep breath and rises, not looking past her feet as she follows behind you to the main center where the beastmen still gorge themselves in their excess.

(2d12 with action and first four posts considered, as always)

Rules: Warriors of the North uses 2d12 as a system.

If you want to influence the story, you must link back to the action as told by the storyteller with a suggestion of an action.

The first die is used to decide which action will be used to further the story. The first four rolls that are linked back to the most current piece of the story will be the rolls that will be considered.

The second die is used to determine the effectiveness of your action.

Double nines are the equivalent of rolling two natural twenties in a d20 system and higher than rolling a double twelve, as nines are the number of the patron god of this thread. However, only double nines carry this rule. If only the first or second die are nines, then it is treated numerically.

You may attempt to reroll previous actions by linking back to the action and rolling 1d12. The most current reroll will take the precedence of the first die while replacing the second die with the number rolled. Rerolls will be considered until the fourth action roll is completed. Any rerolls after the fourth are null and void.

In the case of two or more rolls having the same value of the first die, the storyteller assigns the actions values on an appropriately numbered die and rolls to see which happens.

ALWAYS LINK BACK TO THE STORY OR THE ACTION YOU WANT TO REROLL. A lot of people forget to take the 2d12 out of their email field, and more than a few rolls just exclaiming or commenting on the story have been taken as a serious roll in the past.

    Have fun!

Now that you've cooled your heels in your vendetta and your slave's body, you do notice that you are woefully underprotected. It's only been by luck that you haven't been maimed since your clothes were torn from your body during your transformation as a tusker mammoth, and now that the schemes of vengeance have run their course, you decide it's time to take a few liberties on your own equipment.

Thinking yourself rather clever, you grin and decide to try out the new name that Tzeentch has revealed to you. Intoning the eighth moniker, you wave your hand around your loins, hoping for some sort of magical warding.

It seems you've angered your patron, though, as a searing pain lances from your crotch. You've already pressed your luck with the foray to Slaanesh's fruits with your bedding of the slave, and now you are being punished for overreaching.

Your hands cup your lower area and you grit your teeth, and your slave looks at you with mild interest, mostly due to the look of pain on your face. Eventually, the burning subsides, and you dare to sneak a look at yourself...

Where there were dark tufts of hair, now bright blue and purple feathers and down cover the area.

Your God's fury is something to be feared indeed... What next? (2d12 with action. First four rolls considered.)

Feeling much more prepared, you dress and don your cloak again. The slave has kept watch as you change, and you nod for her to follow as you make your way towards the main human-skin tent where the three beastmen talk away from the rabble of the other gor.

You raise your hand and hail them, and the Minotchar salutes you in turn. The other two just look to each other and continue to converse in their native tongue.

You sit beside the hulking brute, finding him more amenable than the two smaller beastmen, and ask him about the transformation that has taken place.

You move towards the bestigor, and the he ceases his conversation with the shaman momentarily, the both of them looking at you curiously.

"Hmm.. clo-o-o-othes? I liked you better the old way" he scoffs, tearing into what looks like a human hand with his mouth.

You note how droll he sounds and asks on how the attack and the spoils were. He grind with his bloodlust.

"E-e-e-ehxcellent. Much carnage. Much destru-u-u-uhction. Easiest kills of those human puddles for the Go-o-o-hds!" He exclaims gleefully, taking another bite from his meal.

"Loot though... not much. A-a-a-a-all things made brittle by bi-i-i-i-i-rd herald. Not complaining, much blessed, but only few weapons." he notes before returning to his food.

Honestly, leave it up to a random roll. Some of the best quest threads start off as a completely unheard of combination of things.

But, if I had to pick, try something Nurgle-related; Khorne related quests invariably end in KILL MAIM BURN retardery and well, we both know where /tg/ would take a Slaaneshi marine. Would be interesting if you made the Nurgle marine genuinely trying to better the universe by killing off mankind.

A whole tribe of minotaur? This is excellent. Most excellent indeed. You can already taste the victories that such a squad can bring you. And who knows, if you are able to convert them as you have with the first Minotchar, all the better! You look to the bray shaman and the doombull and tell them of your plan.

The bray shaman laughs like a donkey and waves his hands in derision.

"Impossible. Impossible. You ask too much, human. We are culled to half our numbers due to your impressive feats this afternoon, and a single gorbull is enough to eat through dozens of ungor! Madness!" he screams and goes off to the fire as well.

This leaves you with the Minotchar, who looks at you pensively.

    "... it is... possible."

    This perks your ears.

"Hear me, Champion. Possibility does not equal probability. I know the strengths of my former herdmates, as well as their many, many weaknesses... but to exploit the chinks in their armor... pestilent, Nurgle touched armour, mind you, we need strategy... cunning..." he turns his head to reveal a now more intricate mark of Tzeentch "... perhaps more magic from the Raven Lord..." he lets hang in the air...

You ask the Minotchar of other herds that may be tricked into distracting the minotaurs in the area. He laughs, shaking his many-horned head.

"I echo the words of the most illustrious bray shaman and beastlord, champion. Impossible. What you see here is the strongest of the mundane beastmen hordes. The lesser ones are governed by inadequate leaders, and those leaders quail and fear at the mere tremble of a doombull's hoof. They positively grovel and kiss the behemoth's sores when they near!" he scoffs, stamping his massive hoof down to emphasize the point as it sends a few ungors scurrying away.

"No... trickery is one thing, but you cannot sway the heart of a coward to fight against those brutes..." the doombull eloquently states, snorting and looking up to the two moons.

You dwell on the words of the Mintchar. Tempting as a herd of thundering killing Juggernauts sounds, that would mean facing and finding a way to sway said Juggernauts. Perhaps you should take on more immediate matters for now.

You excuse yourself from the Minotchar's company, and he politely nods, turning away and gazing back into the moonlight.

Now you twirl the ends of your whiskers. The bestigor said that the pickings were slim, after the mass crystallization of the entire village. Where could you possibly... ~!

The idea strikes you instantly! The longboats are still filled with supplies for the raids. Perhaps there will be iron and steel there to arm or replace a few of the swords and axes the beastmen need! You hurry to the bestigor's main tent, pulling away at the curtains.

The sight makes even your stomach turn. Inside, the larger bestigors are busy rutting with what appear to be white-wooled ewes of their tribe, and a few rather effeminate ungors. The stench assualts your nose, and again you hear vomiting. It seems as if the minion, ever drawn to you, followed to the hut and is now emptying the orc from her system at the sight of the orgy.

"Wha-a-a-a-a-aht do you want human?!?!" one of their number replies angrily, shoving away a beastwoman servicing his lower parts roughly.

You compose yourself and answer coldly. You tell him of the boats in the lower harbor and the supplies therein.

"Yes, yes. Tomorr-o-o-ohw! Away with you!" it roars, pushing the ewe down on her knees. You turn away from the sight, trying to block out the plaintive bleating from within.

Your stomach turns again at the memory of the rutting within. Perhaps your impressions of the beastmen were colored a bit too positively by your time with the Minotchar, forgetting that the beasts are even more ghastly than the most decadent of your former village brutes. The slave follows behind you, blearily, not really caring anymore of her sense of self after the sight that you have both witnessed and the memories of her own subjugation.

For now, you return to the doombull. It seems to have switched it's attentions from the moon to drawing in the sand and snow, his claws tearing almost half a foot into the snow as he traces a particularly wicked Morrslieb with the eye of Tzeentch in the middle.

You ask him to take you around to see how the camp and warband is progressing. He nods and stands, and together, you round the village.

"As glorious as the exemplar was in his arrival, the daemon left very little in ways of supplies in this village. Yes, the ungors can fashion spears out of the wood and clubs as well, but whatever weapons there were are no useless baubles and trinkets... also something the ungors fancy... " he snorts, and with a wide palm he points to two ungors wrestling to the death over an opalescent washboard. The minotchar continues on though.

"As for the spawn... well, there were those in abundance. We've trapped nine of the most vicious ones..." he pauses and shares a knowing smile with you "... though the ninth one is more of an ornament that I captured for you rather than a true killer..." he takes you to the ruined watchtower, and you see the mass of chaos spawn growling and howling. You can see the one of note that the doombull mentions, though, as the circular hoop of flesh in the very center wails and recites praises to Tzeentch. It seems you did convert the seers after all, you laugh wickedly.

You tell the minotchar you are greatly pleased and wish to call him by something other than doombull.

"A title? Well, my kind never thought much for such novelties, but a name of my own? Yes, yes... I can foresee the benefits of having something to claim as I subjugate the multitudes of civilization... I shall be called..."

You let Tiresias go on about his future anecdotes and the newfound pride he has in his name, motioning for a few ungors to follow you. By now, the diminutive beastmen know well enough that you are a much mightier wizard than the bray shaman, though they would never admit that, and step lively to meet your stride.

You reach the boats uneventfully enough, and once there, you note that it is indeed filled with all sorts of armaments and foodstuffs. You look at one of the crates on the dock and notice a bushel of apples. Taking one, you throw it over your shoulder, knowing that the slave will catch it and perhaps be less prone to losing her stomach if she is fed with something her oh-so delicate composition craves. The cries of the ungor tell you that she indeed has caught the fruit, much to the chagrin of the small creatures. You mention for the ungor to start unloading one of the medium sized ships and they do so.

Unfortunately, you idly mention if the beastmen are skilled enough to use the boats. The ungor take this as a sign that you wish for a demonstration, and quickly unloop the anchor lines.

You scream and curse at the simpletons, and they cower in fear, one even jumping overboard, but the rest floating away into the foggy night sea.

A boatful of supplies and ungor, lost... how fickle the tides. (2d12 with action and first four posts considered, as always)

You work fast, knowing that such a ship fully rigged is too valuable to lose. Summoning your strength, taxed as it is, you implore your patron to push the waters back, though you could care less about the idiots on board.

As if in answer to your calling, the slave's mark glows and mid-bite she drops her apple as her lips tremble again. Out from her mouth a beaked tendril of lightning shoots out to the sea, and you hear the thunk of wood.

Winds howl as your slave's eyes and mark shine brighter, and the boat come back into sight. The ungor within are holding on for dear life as the speed at which the slave's magic beak drives the boat back is stupendous.

Eventually the boat comes crashing back to the dock, actually overshooting and mooring itself on the beach.

Your slave falls to her knees, dazed and spent as usual, mumbling the praises of the Raven God.
