"Send the 'special patient' over when you get the chance!" Dalak says to you from a side room as you make your way out.
Yuune will be sending the mages over himself, using some of a limited stock of teleportation magic that he has ways of refilling. Most of the ways involve spending a bit of money.
Mithril and adamantine are two metals the caverns doesn't have a lot of, maybe 350 pounds of mithril and 200 of adamantine. Most other special metals tend to be alloyed created by metallurgists, but one includes a blend of adamantine and mithril that's mainly used to reinforce the mithril. Duralumin is a mixture of a number of rare metals including aluminum, but that's about it. Even then, you'd be hesitant to call them magical metals, just very convenient ones.
The green metal, known as starmetal, though? You have about 25 pounds of it. It's light as mithril and soft as copper, but it alloys well and can replicate some complex spell energies. Even a small amount can work well for continuous magic. Of course, being rare and innately magical, it's in high demand.
The cavern's total wealth is in the upper tens of thousands of gold. However, remember that with everyone taking a piece of the pie, military production costs, and research funding, that will go down quicker than you'd think.
As far as troops, and over all population, you have a roughly 10-12% employment out of the total population. The total population of the Crystal Caverns is about 350,000. Your troops include 35,000 total active soldiers, including the home guards and the scouts, with about 7,000 reserve troops, mostly retired or being rehabilitated veterans.
Dalak and Felix'hia are training prosthetists, but are aparently having some trouble (Previous thread btw: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/16459611/ ) getting them to learn. They don't do many weapons, the parts come mostly from the Guild of Magic and Technology. |
